Travis Scott Nets Massive Earnings From First “Circus Maximus” Europe Shows

Travis Scott has had one heck of a past year as we approach the one-year anniversary of UTOPIA and the album still has legs… a European one, that is. Moreover, new Live Nation and Billboard reports divulged on the profits earned from his first seven shows for his European and U.K. leg of his “Circus Maximus” tour in support of the aforementioned album. Apparently, La Flame averaged earnings of $3.3 million per show and totaled over $23 million (two shows in the Netherlands, one in Poland, one in Switzerland, one in France, one in Belgium, and one in London) across these shows from June 28 to the most recent one at London on July 11.

The city’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosted Travis Scott’s reportedly largest headline show to date (the metrics are a bit unclear) with 48,000 and a total gross of $6.6 million. Not only that, but the concert broke the stadium’s record for merchandise sales for any organized event up until this point. As for his North American trek, the combination of 44 shows and 686,000 total tickets sold across all of them resulted in a staggering $95.7 million gross.

Travis Scott Reacts To His European Fans On Tour

The “Circus Maximus” tour is about halfway done in Europe, with Travis Scott continuing the festivities in Cologne, Germany today (Saturday, July 20). Then, he will hit Milan in Italy, two Frankfurt shows in Germany, two Madrid shows in Spain, and three Lisbon shows in Portugal to wrap up the official leg of the tour on August 4. In addition, the Houston MC will play at the Rock In Rio Festival in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on September 13.

However, one of the most heartening and notable aspects of these tour profits is what Travis Scott and his team made sure to set aside. One euro or pound from every ticket sold during this European trek went, is going, or will go to the Cactus Jack Foundation, Travis’ org for Houston youth. As of writing this article, the Europe and U.K. shows for “Circus Maximus” this year have garnered about $250,000 for the organization. That’s great to hear, and we hope that it motivates the team to make things even better.

Travis Scott Announces European Leg Of His Epic Circus Maximus Tour

Travis Scott is known for some pretty epic tours. Although he has had legal issues due to the nature of his shows, his Circus Maximus Tour from last Fall was a success. He went all across North America and performed in front of hundreds of thousands of fans. Overall, it was a great tour and fans have been curious about what his next move would be. After all, he had been working on new music while on the road. Furthermore, he is an act who is massive all around the world, so a potential World Tour was believed to be in order.

Well, this morning, Travis Scott confirmed that he does, indeed, have a new leg of his tour planned. As of next month, Scott will be heading on the road to Europe. The first date will be on June 28th and the show is going to take place in Arnhem, Netherlands. This European tour is going to last a month with the final date on July 27th. Scott will be in Frankfurt, Germany for that final stop. Needless to say, it is going to be a fun journey, especially as he visits numerous countries in a short amount of time.

“Europe we on the way. Tickets on sale Friday May 10. Bringing circus Maximus over then pond,” Scott wrote. “Let’s make this one the best. 21 Savage Reveals European Tour Dates After Securing Green Card

For the longest time, 21 Savage could not travel outside of the United States. He didn’t have a green card, and his previous ICE arrest had loomed large over his head. However, with the help of his good pal Drake, the artist has been able to secure travel privileges. He recently went to Canada and subsequently, he will be making his way to London on November 30th for a homecoming show. As it turns out, he plans on doing much more than one show in England.

According to Broadway World, the Her Loss rapper is going to be in Europe for the entire second half of November. Firstly, he will be heading out to France before stopping in Germany, Switzerland, and even the Netherlands. Eventually, he will be in the UK for a few shows before performing at The O2 in London. It is going to be a lot of fun, and you can tell that 21 is excited.

Considering his newfound ability to travel, it only makes sense that he would choose to do a tour like this. It will allow him to connect with the European fans who have been starved of his performances for the better part of a decade. Only time will tell whether or not he chooses to tour in other parts of the globe. Hopefully, he does.

Chance The Rapper Reveals “A Lot Of Negatives” During Tour With Macklemore In Europe

Chance The Rapper and Macklemore might not be the first two artists you think of together, but the two actually go way back. While reflecting on the ten-year anniversary of his mainstream breakout project Acid Rap to Ebro Darden, Chance spoke on the early days of his career. At one point, he touched on opening for the Seattle MC during his Europe tour in 2013, and called it one of the most challenging obstacles he faced during his rise to the top. However, that’s not because of his performance partner, but rather the circumstances and crowds that they experienced during their trek. It’s wild and heartening to hear the Chicago artist talk about his unfortunate struggles, and to see how far he’s come since.

“The toughest challenge I ever experienced was I went on tour with Macklemore,” Chance The Rapper remarked. “Macklemore is an amazing, amazing person and helped me out tremendously as well. But his shows, it was in Europe and it was, I think 38 dates, all 20,000 capacity rooms. All like off markets too, like Poland and Dusseldorf.

“These people didn’t speak English at all,” Chance The Rapper elaborated. “And not only did they not speak English, he sold out all these shows before [they] announced [me] on the ticket. So it’s really bad when you go to a show and there’s an opener that you don’t want to see. It’s way worse when it’s a surprise opener that you don’t want to see. That’s speaking a different language and Black, a lot of negatives on top of each other for the Swedish crowds. So I’m dealing with that.

“When I came home, I got to finally feel at the end of that year when I went on my own solo tour, I got to feel having my own crowd, selling my own tickets and really built my whole off that tour,” the 30-year-old expressed. “The year Acid Rap dropped, I started out and went on tour with Mac Miller, rest in peace, my guy, amazing dude, changed my life in a lot of ways. But I went on tour with Mac Miller at the end of March and my mixtape dropped while I was on tour. I literally watched people go from yawning and looking at their clocks while I was on stage to singing along to jumping along. “Me, out getting snacks, dressed in my blanket,” one user on Twitter joked in response to the picture. Another compared Beyonce’s look to The Emperor and Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars. “She just wanna avoid the paps. They cant get any pic of her face anyways,” another user theorized.

Blue Ivy has been joining her mother for performances on the Renaissance World Tour throughout its run of shows. JAY-Z has been spotted in attendance at several concerts as well. During one recent performance, Beyonce was able to get the crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” for Solange.

Beyonce is currently touring in support of her seventh studio album, Renaissance. She released the project back on July 29, 2022, as her first solo effort since 2016’s Lemonade. She worked on the album with Nova Wav, The-Dream, Symbolyc One, A. G. Cook, Honey Dijon, Beam, Tricky Stewart, BloodPop, Skrillex, Hit-Boy, No I.D., P2J, and various others. JAY-Z & Beyonce Dine On French Riviera Amid “Renaissance” Tour

JAY-Z and Beyonce dined out in Cannes at a beachside restaurant, Monday, while traversing Europe on the ongoing Renaissance Tour. TMZ has obtained a video of the two superstars out and about on the French Riviera. In doing so, Jay rocks a calm outfit consisting of a simple T-shirt, shorts, and sunglasses, while Beyonce wears a similarly chill outfit with a camera over her shoulder.

TMZ reports that Jay and Beyonce ate at La Guérite, a seaside restaurant known for its seafood, salad, and pasta dishes. The couple stayed at the spot for 1.5 hours, taking in views of the Mediterranean Sea. After finishing, they headed off on a boat.

Few artists can say that their demand is so huge in the States that they can make their fans travel overseas just to spend a few hundred dollars less to witness their presence. According to many fans online, people are buying tickets for Beyoncé’s shows in Europe due to staggeringly high ticket prices in the U.S. Moreover, the star singer’s European leg begins in Stockholm, Sweden on May 10, according to her official tour website. However, many of these shows already sold out on the platform, so maybe fans got cheaper resale tickets.

Of course, Beyoncé’s highly acclaimed 2022 album RENAISSANCE, plus her sheer dominance and legacy as an artist, drove millions to buy tickets. What it resulted in is a frenzy of delayed purchase times, crashing websites, insane demand, and insane prices. It’s not entirely uncommon for the biggest artists in the world to face these issues, whether thanks to poor planning or just the fact that they’re so huge that everyone and their grandpa want to go. For example, Taylor Swift faced similar issues, as did Drake whose tour tickets rivaled even the “CUFF IT” star’s.

Kelvyn Colt is back with his latest single, the minimal and club-influenced “EYE4EYE.” While that club influence might lead you to expect trendier sounds, Colt proves anything but. Moreover, this new track is tense, slightly industrial, and nothing if not thrilling from start to finish.

What’s more is that the German-Nigerian artist is gearing to drop his new project GERMAN ANGST.

“EYE4EYE” is the first single off my new project GERMAN ANGST,” he stated. Furthermore, he called it a “reflection on the culture of revenge and male toxicity, as well as the question of forgiveness. I explore my own experiences of being cheated by another artist, whom I had paid for a feature, and how I chose not to seek revenge but instead to maintain a clear conscience. In the song I’m trying to express the doubts and questions I have in mind about this topic and the hypocritical stance we as individuals take on it.”

Meanwhile, the instrumental here is an eerie and slowly building piece of industrial and electronic hip-hop. For example, the heavy kick drums only show up when the song is reaching a peak, culminating in an explosive outro. While Colt’s flows certainly keep the tempo steady, there’s a captivating soaring synth line that saws through and energizes the track. In fact, some listeners might even catch a bit of Jersey club influence in the ending’s drum pattern.

NBA YoungBoy Says He Plans To Move His Family To Europe

2022 has been an extremely busy year for NBA YoungBoy. Dropping eight full-length projects and a string of YouTube videos, the Last Slimeto rapper is maintaining his label as one of the hardest-working rappers in the game.

Not only has he been busy with his music career, but also with his personal life. In September, he welcomed his 10th child into the world.

Seemingly as a result of all his overwhelming success, the “Make No Sense” rapper says he wants to eventually move his family to Europe.

“We got to stay prayed up[.] I really want to move [to] Europe with my family once all of this [is] put behind me,” he wrote in the short social media post. “I’m stacking money until then!!” the 23-year-old added.

Considering YoungBoy’s family consists of 10 kids and multiple baby mamas, the move would certainly be a complicated one.

To make matters worse, he’s gotten into some public feuds with the mothers of some of his children. One of them, Drea Symone, took to her Twitter account in October to call YB out for not being present in their daughter’s life. “[I’d] Trade all the money in the world for my youngest daughter to have a father,” she wrote.

Regardless, the Baton Rouge native’s latest project of the aforementioned eight this year, arrived in the form of Lost Files just last week. Containing 21 tracks and no features, the tape follows his Quando Rondo collab album, 3860. In October, he teamed up with DJ Drama for the Gangsta Grillz mixtape, Ma’ I Got A Family.

Furthermore, the 23-year-old was evidently active during this holiday season. On Saturday (December 24), he was engaging in arguments online with Blueface. In the rather light-hearted exchange, the rappers debated over who gets more girls. “You get your group and I’ma get my group, and we gon’ see who got the baddest h*es,” he told the “Bleed It” rapper.
