Kodak Black On “Drink Champs”: Rapper Has A Ball During Episode Preview

Kodak Black has a Drink Champs interview on the way, as the podcasting team announced with a new preview compilation. Moreover, it’s a series of clips and highlights from the conversation including some funny moments, topical summaries, and other interesting statements or antics during the recording. Considering N.O.R.E., DJ EFN, and the rest of the team’s reputation as one of the best hip-hop media shows right now, this is a pretty exciting moment for the rapper. Yak certainly has a lot to talk about, whether it’s his enduring career, his legal troubles, or his relationships with other artists.

In fact, it seems like he actually showed off a lot of his passion in this episode- at least, if his body language suggests anything. Furthermore, Kodak Black seems like he did most of the interview standing up instead of sitting down, as is the classic Drink Champs formula. Maybe he’s just a bit antsy and can’t stay sitting down for a long time, but it certainly gives him a lot more room to express himself with his full body movements. We can only imagine how much more vivid a story from the Florida MC will become if he’s in the space to give off a lot of energy.

Kodak Black’s Drink Champs Episode Preview

Of course, we’re sure that there will be as many hilarious moments on this Drink Champs iteration as reflective or deeply personal ones. Kodak Black’s been through a lot in his life; some of it’s been by choice and design, and a lot of it is born due to circumstance or hardship. Either way, we’re sure that he will be able to touch on a lot of topics and paint a compelling picture of his mind state. After all, the Sniper Gang representative recently dedicated a new single “Hope You Know” to his relationship with his mother, so we know he can tap into that bag.

Meanwhile, are you looking forward to this Drink Champs interview? What are you most looking forward to seeing them discuss, announce, or look back on? Method Man Shares Wild Shrooms Story With Tupac, Diddy & More: Watch

The legendary Method Man of the Wu-Tang Clan is an amazing storyteller, both on wax and on air. Moreover, he recently say down with N.O.R.E., DJ EFN, and the rest of the Drink Champs for a comprehensive and entertaining-as-ever interview. During their conversation, Johnny Blaze recalled a wild story about being high on mushrooms for the 1996 Soul Train Awards afterparty in Los Angeles. This was at the height of East Coast and West Coast tensions, and what’s hilarious is that he met its executive leaders in the same night- and everything went super well. Of course, he was on shrooms, so that’s part of it, but we’re glad nothing ruined his high.

“I’m on mushrooms like a motherf***er,” Method Man began. “It didn’t hit me while I’m in the club ’til I saw Puff. I see Puffy with like six bodyguards- and then it hit me. It was like, ‘Wait a minute.’ Mind you, Puff don’t speak to me. No, he speaks to me, but he never speaks to me like this. Embraces me, ‘Meth, what’s up, n***a!’ So now it’s like, ‘Oh s**t.’ I’m looking around to see if anyone saw me speak to this motherf***er,” referring to the East and West clash. “I just don’t wanna be on anybody’s f***ing radar at this point- the shrooms. I’m in my head like cr*zy like, ‘Did that just happen?’ ‘Cause Puff’s never that nice to me. I mean, he’s nice, but never that nice to me. I’m f***ed up off these shrooms. Now I’m at the peak of shroom high.

Method Man’s Shrooms Tale

“And I hear, ‘Mef!’” Method Man continued. “I look and it’s [Queen] Latifah. She was like, ‘What the f**k are you doing up in that corner? Come here!’ And I snapped out of that s**t. I was good the rest of the night after that! Shout out to you, Dana, I love you.” Then, the New York MC met Tupac and Suge Knight for the first time. “He’s telling me about some incident that happened with RZA in Vegas,” referring to the Wu leader allegedly getting his chain snatched there. “If he was there it definitely wouldn’t have happened, blah blah blah. Basically, he was saying if there was anybody we would f**k with on the East Coast, it’d be Wu-Tang. This is letting us know- and anybody that was in the know- that it wasn’t an East Coast-West Coast thing; it was a Bad Boy-Death Row thing.

“He started saying something else but I’m not really listening because I’m looking at the Death Row piece on his chain,” he went on. “This my first time meeting ‘Pac so I’m like, ‘Oh s**t, this is f***ing Tupac! Look at that f***ing chain!’ I remember looking at Suge and he got the cigar like this and he’s like… nothing. No expression, just stoic. Cameras is on, n***a! He in Suge mode. So I’m like, ‘Yeah…’ Walk out, get out front, and no lie, I remember being in the back of Pink Dot in that alley way, and we sat there and we discussing that whole night of how that s**t was so f***ing weird […] It was definitely the mushrooms.” For more news and updates on Method Man, log back into HNHH.

Method Man Discusses The Notorious B.I.G., Making “Enter The Wu-Tang” & More On “Drink Champs”

Method Man is the latest guest on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s iconic podcast Drink Champs. Speaking with the hosts for Saturday’s episode, the legendary Wu-Tang Clan rapper reflected on the making of “Method Man” off of Enter The Wu-Tang, working with The Notorious B.I.G., Queen Latifah, and more.

Of his breakout self-titled song, Method Man recalled interpolating songs that he was into at the time. “‘Hey, you, get off my cloud/You don’t know me [and] you don’t know my style.’ Who is that?” he asked. “I think that’s Bootsy Collins (“Disciples of Funk”). But it was stuck in my head, right? So by the time I got to the ‘M-e-t-h-o-d, Man,’ that was already etched in my head from ‘M-e-t-h-o-d-o-f-l-o-v-e’ (“Method of Modern Love”). [I’m a] Big Hall & Oates fan. The ‘man’ part came from Masta Ace [because] one of my favorite records was ‘The Music Man.’” He added: “The other hook part, ‘I got, fat bags of…,’ that’s The Beatles (“Come Together”).”

Speaking of Method Man’s acting career, he recently revealed that he’s interested in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During an interview with CASSIUS, he explained that he’d like to play the X-Men character, Bishop, in an upcoming film. “Those guys at the MCU, they know their stuff,” he told the outlet. “I haven’t had any problems with any of their casting choice so far. So whoever gets the job. I think Omar Sy did an excellent job as Bishop, but that was before MCU. If they chose him again, I think he’d kill it. There’s a few people out there. But if they’re willing to give me a shot, I’d go for it. Plus, I’ve done all the research already.”

Benny The Butcher Discusses What Big Daddy Kane Cosign Means To Him

A few weeks ago during an interview on Drink Champs, Big Daddy Kane talked about some of his favorite rappers out right now. “J. Cole is my favorite MC of this era. Shoutout to Conway The Machine — I love him to death — Benny The Butcher,” the rap legend said. He’s not alone either as all three artists have received their fair share of critical acclaim. Now Benny himself dropped by the Dope As Usual podcast himself to express how the cosign made him feel.

“I’m still humble. I didn’t even know Kane knew who the f*ck I was, y’feel what I’m sayin? So it’s like, when he was doing his sh*t, he was considered that guy, so it’s like he’s comparing me to those guys — Conway is that guy for sure, J. Cole is definitely that guy, y’know what I’m sayin?,” Benny The Butcher responded. The cosign didn’t just serve as praise for Benny, it also let him know he really is one of the best. “To be compared with those guys — that let me know I’m a top lyricist when it comes from guys who were top lyricists,” he concluded.

Benny The Butcher was supposed to release his new album back in August. It was delayed past its original release date but Benny has continued teasing particular tracks regardless. Memphis Bleek’s “Drink Champs” Appearance Covers Jay-Z, Illegal Highs & More

Memphis Bleek was the latest guest on Drink Champs, and N.O.R.E., DJ EFN, and the whole crew had a blast with him. They covered every aspect of his veteran career, such as early Roc-A-Fella shenanigans, getting illegally high in Dubai, and his business aspirations in Roc Nation, the A&R world, and the cannabis industry. Moreover, the Brooklyn rapper had a lot to look back on and anticipate, and did so with a lot of energy and charisma. For example, one of the more comical parts of the interview came when he spoke on rumors that Jay-Z and the Roc were involved with the Illuminati, a conspiracy too funny to let slide.

“That killed me with the Hov drunk they Illuminati,” Memphis Bleek joked. “Why the f**k I ain’t drink then? Huh? I just went to the party and let everybody get Illuminati wasted and I said, ‘Yo, I’m cool. Tonight’s the night I’m on my N.O.R.E. s**t, 36 hours clean. My birthday’s coming.’ F**k outta here. I’d been in there, vampire from Brooklyn, n***a. You think Eddie had it? Me, n***a. F**k outta here with that. It’s called the Illumi-grinding, n***a.”

Memphis Bleek On Drink Champs

In addition, the 45-year-old even recalled Michael Jackson’s strange requirements for his Summer Jam performance. “Listen, if you wasn’t with Hov, you had to turn around and face the wall,” Memphis Bleek claimed. “His security guards came in before he came in. They like this: ‘Everybody who don’t got the Jay-Z pass.’ Like, I’m with the family. You had to have that pass. They was making n***as face the wall like it was the pat-down on the block. Everybody, because Mike didn’t want eye-to-eye contact.”

Meanwhile, Hov’s fellow Marcy project baby also made himself relatable by talking about roadblocks in his way as a music fan. He had to make some calls in high places to get Beyoncé tickets, which one would assume is easy considering his relationship with the Carters. Still, he’s just a man at the end of the day, and hearing him go across his personal timeline can be as comical as it is inspiring. Check out the episode above and log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Memphis Bleek.

Jay-Z Illuminati Rumors Denied By Memphis Bleek

On the latest episode of Drink Champs, N.O.R.E., DJ EFN, and the rest of the crew welcomed Memphis Bleek. The Roc-A-Fella OG told a lot of wild stories and had everyone in chuckle mode for most of their conversation, which was very entertaining to see. For example, he explained how hard it was to get tickets for Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE tour despite being one of Jay-Z’s protégés. Speaking of Hov, his signee also addressed conspiracies and claims about his mentor being in the Illuminati. Rumors like that will always come for artists when they’re big enough, but the 45-year-old wasted no time in shutting it all down comically.

“That killed me with the Hov drunk they Illuminati,” Memphis Bleek recalled. “It’s Called Illumi-Grinding”

Elsewhere in their conversation, the Brooklyn MC also spoke on a funny story concerning Michael Jackson’s surprise Summer Jam performance in 2001. “It was ill, the Mike situation,” Memphis Bleek shared. “Rest in peace to the GOAT of the GOATs. Mike came through, right? Listen, if you wasn’t with Hov, you had to turn around and face the wall. His security guards came in before he came in. They like this: ‘Everybody who don’t got the Jay-Z pass.’ Like, I’m with the family. You had to have that pass.

“They was making n***as face the wall like it was the pat-down on the block,” he continued. “Everybody, because Mike didn’t want eye-to-eye contact. Nobody look him in his eyes. Me, I gotta see Mike. So I’m looking at everyone in the hallway facing the wall like, ‘These n***as is bugging.’” For more news and the latest updates on Memphis Bleek and Jay-Z, log back into HNHH.
