Kodak Black And Ray J Beef Gets More Context As Kodak’s Lawyer Weighs In

Kodak Black and Ray J’s beef, which sparked earlier this month seemingly came out of nowhere at first. Ray J left a comment about Kodak after his appearance on Drink Champs expressing concern for the rapper. “We gotta help this dude. I took him to Trump house and he did the most. They were not happy with the experience bc he had no guidance and respect. Yo @wack100 let’s figure out how we can help this guy instead of watching him self destruct,” Ray J said. Kodak clearly didn’t take kindly to his expression of concern.

In an Instagram live discussing the situation Kodak hurled insults at Ray J while refuting that he had anything to do with the Mar-a-Lago story. Kodak insisted, though somewhat incoherently, that he didn’t need help and made physical threats against Ray J. But in a response video, Ray J took him at his word and offered Kodak the opportunity to fight, potentially for charity. That was just yesterday and Kodak already shared a robust response originally posted by his lawyer to Instagram. Check out the full post below.

Kodak Black Claps Back At Ray J With Lawyer Statement

The statement Kodak Black shared aimed to shed light on the situation. “Kodak was invited to Mar A Largo by Ray J for a fund raiser for another candidate, not for altruistic reasons,’ the statement begins. It goes on to explain that many of the people now expressing concern for Kodak weren’t there when he actually needed help during his time in prison looking for a pardon.

In the post his lawyer shouts out Lil Yachty, Lil Pump, Fat Joe, Lamar Jackson, and more as some of the people actually trying to assist Kodak. He concludes the statement by asking those with concerns to speak offline rather than publicly about it. What do you think of Kodak Black’s lawyer sharing details on who has actually been standing up for the rapper? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kodak Black Admits He Doesn’t Like “No Flockin,” & Freestyles On “Drink Champs”

Kodak Black says that he doesn’t like his hit single, “No Flockin,” and that he originally just made the track to troll his friends. He reflected on the making of the song during a recent interview, as shared on Instagram by DJ Akademiks.

“‘No Flockin,’ to tell you the truth, I really don’t like that song,” Kodak admitted. “I really don’t. I was really just saying anything because, you know, people was like smoking flocka at that time. So it was like I was making fun of like my homeboys who started smoking that, my uncle smoking that, lotta people smoking that. I was just clowning them. But it went viral.”

Some fans understood where he was coming from despite the popularity of the song. One commented: “Makes sense he made it as a joke type thing and it popped off beat was ill and flow was what really made it didn’t even know flockin meant doin drugs.” Another noted that Cardi B famously sampled the song on her own track, “Bodak Yellow.” “That song made Cardi B whole career,” one wrote. “He want y’all to compare this to the Drink Champs appearance,” another fan wrote, referencing his recent interview on the podcast.

During that Drink Champs interview, Kodak sparked health concerns from fans due to his jumbled speech. “He needs help NOW!!!!!!! Omg this just broke my heart! How on earth can people be around him and watch him fall apart like this and not have him in rehab or something,” one fan online wrote. Others complained about N.O.R.E. even publishing the interview. Despite the worry, Kodak performed a freestyle during the interview at one point. Check out that freestyle as well as Kodak’s comments on “No Flockin’” above.

Kodak Black Blasts Latto For Not Clearing His Name In Sexual Favors Accusation

Kodak Black’s Drink Champs appearance yielded a lot of interesting reflections, bombshell statements, and moments of controversy. What might be the most direct and confrontational of them all, though, might just be his new feud with Latto stemming from their collaboration on her 2022 album, 777. Moreover, for those unaware, she had confessed that it was difficult to get an artist (that she kept anonymous) on the album because they wanted sexual favors in order to clear it. Then, fans online assumed that the femcee was talking about Yak, and he just came through with another response to the whole ordeal. According to him, Latto failed to clear his name after Internet accusations went wild, but this brings us no closer to the actual truth.

Basically, the conversation stemmed when N.O.R.E. was doing his typical “this or that” questions to Kodak Black. When asked to pick between Ice Spice and Latto, he sided with the Bronx MC because of the aforementioned situation. Overall, it’s a pretty difficult one to pin down, especially within the “he said, she said” framework that it falls under right now. However, this is far from the first time that Kodak has publicly addressed this issue.

Kodak Black Goes At Latto On Drink Champs: Watch

“This whole s**t looked like a damn plot,” Kodak Black expressed during a rant back when Latto beat him out at the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards for “Song of the Year.” “Then I look at the ‘gram like what shorty blocked me for? They probably hollerin’ at BET, like don’t give him that s**t. I told [people] weeks ago, ‘Watch, they finna play with me and give it to frappuccino.’” On her end, the Atlanta-based hitmaker used that “frappuccino” title as a brief branding opportunity, clearly showing her unfazed status in the public eye.

Meanwhile, the Broward County rhymer denied that she referred to him with her comments about sexual advances, and made multiple other public statements against her. As such, this remains relatively one-sided. Whether the future will change that narrative anytime soon is up for us to witness- and to these artists to decide. For more news and the latest updates on Kodak Black and Latto, stay posted on HNHH.

Kodak Black Wants To Mentor Kanye West

During his recent appearance on Drink Champs, Kodak Black was asked whether he’s on “Team Pharrell” or “Team Kanye.” The rapper shared what he likes about each of the artists before ultimately settling on Pharrell. He did say, however, that he believes he could make a difference in Ye’s life. According to Kodak, the controversial performer should reach out, as he might be able to give him some pointers.

“I f*ck with Pharrell. I’m not going to lie, I can call Pharrell and talk about anything. I f*ck with him,” Kodak Black began. “But Kanye [is] Gemini gang.” He went on, revealing that he could have something to offer Ye. “And Kanye, I felt [sic] like I can be his mentor or something,” he explained. “It would be very fruitful for his life. Kanye, when you see [this], holler at me.”

Kodak Black Tells Kanye West To “Holler” At Him

While the 26-year-old’s Drink Champs appearance certainly sparked some interesting conversations, it also sparked some concern among fans and peers. Many note that Kodak Black appeared to be under the influence during the interview, which led them to believe that he’s on a destructive path. Ray J even chimed in, calling on those around Kodak to check him.

“Yo somebody need to grab bro and make sure he good,” he wrote in the comments section of a snippet from the show. “This ain’t the interview Nore. We gotta help this dude. I took him to Trump house and he did the most. They were not happy with the experience bc he had no guidance and respect. Yo @wack100 let’s figure out how we can help this guy instead of watching him self destruct.” Do you think Kodak Black would be a good mentor to Kanye West? Ray J Wants Kodak Black To Get Help After 6ix9ine Comments, Meek Mill Chimes In

Kodak Black’s collaboration with 6ix9ine from this year remains as controversial as ever, whether from a street cred perspective or an artistic one. Moreover, he recently spoke on Drink Champs about how it came about and how he felt about the backlash to it. While the Florida MC did address a lot with his remarks, it also drew a lot of concern from fans due to his seemingly erratic and volatile behavior. In fact, his industry peers particularly expressed worry about this, as they have more experience with the destructive path that they think he follows. Via an Instagram comment on the post below, which is still up as of writing this article, Ray J called folks to action when it comes to Yak’s health.

“Yo somebody need to grab bro and make sure he good,” the R&B star said of Kodak Black. “This ain’t the interview Nore. We gotta help this dude. I took him to Trump house and he did the most. They were not happy with the experience bc he had no guidance and respect. Yo @wack100 let’s figure out how we can help this guy instead of watching him self destruct.”

However, a lot of people both within and outside of the industry are decidedly less forgiving when it comes to this ordeal. Perhaps that’s an unfair assessment, though, as they really don’t seem to dismiss his struggles but rather his choices without the context that those issues display. For example Meek Mill came through with an Instagram comment of his own in the above post, which didn’t leave much room for sympathy. “I damn near don’t even wanna be labeled a rapper nomore,” the Philly MC shared, presumably concerning Kodak Black’s work with a snitch.

Of course, the Pompano Beach native is not free of critique and accountability, but both that and the need for him to seek counseling and support can be true. As long as the conversation centers around his antics and not his health, then these clout chases will continue because they work. Hopefully this is all just speculative and Kodak Black is feeling much better than how he acts for the cameras. For more news and the latest updates on all these artists, check back in with HNHH.

Kodak Black Talks Presidential Pardon And Unreleased C-Murder Track On “Drink Champs”

Kodak Black is the latest music star to appear on Drink Champs, sitting down to discuss a wide range of topics. One of the things Black was eager to talk about was his love of Donald Trump. Trump pardoned Black before he left office in 2021. “I’m mafioso, bruh. He a Gemini just like me. His birthday three days after my sh-t. And that boy, he be vibing out here too [in Florida]”. Furthermore, Black said he wouldn’t hesitate to give Trump $1 million if the former President asked for it.

Furthermore, Black spoke on his unreleased collab with C-Murder, who has spent the last two decades in prison. “I done met them boys’ whole family and sh-t. And then bruh still f-cked with me even after Master P ain’t finish off what we was ‘bout to start.” Black said. Additionally, Black noted that his link to C-Murder led to his friendship with Monica. However, Black once again denied that he and Monica were dating, despite many rumors.

Black Speaks On Being Pro-Label And PnB Rock

Meanwhile, Black also touched on his decision to remain with a label. However, he clarified that his stance doesn’t mean he entirely relies on the industry structure. “You need that machine, because I already do a whole lot of sh-t on my own anyway. So that [going independent] would just be a whole lot of more sh-t. I’m overly active. I beat my feet. I ain’t never had no manager or none of that sh-t. It’s just me and my people,” Black explained.

He also touched on his relationship with the late PnB Rock. “Long live PnB, dawg. I f-ck with PnB though, because he was fresh out around that time too, right? So both of us [were] just coming in and sh-t.” The pair had a string of collabs together, like “Horses” and “Day One” in 2017. You can watch the full Drink Champs episode at the link below.
