Will Drake Go On The ‘No One Likes Us’ European Tour In 2024?

Drake is seemingly mounting a full-on return to his primed position in rap. After bowing out in the war of words with Kendrick Lamar, the “Family Matters” rapper took a minute to gather himself.

Today (August 6), after releasing 100 Gigs, a slew of unreleased music, fans believe he has more up his sleeve.

Supporters believe Drake’s checklist of public redemption includes a European tour later this year. Continue below for more information.

Will Drake Go On The ‘No One Likes Us’ European Tour In 2024?

According to an image reportedly posted to Drake’s supposed private Instagram account, he has something lined up. In the photo, a pile of gray boxes labeled, ‘Not Like Us. Euro 2024,’ are stacked against a wall. Although the contents of the boxes are not visible, the items items to the left led fans to believe the boxes are tied to a performance run around Europe.

Next to the ‘Not Like Us. Euro 2024’ boxes are other items packed in clear wrappings. Attendees of Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour or It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?, speculated that these items resemble the font used in a few specialty merch pieces from those shows.

At this time, Drake hasn’t responded to any of the chatter. However, Lil Wayne’s chant, “They don’t like us chant,” could be the hint others overlooked.

Drake Follows IG Account Hinting At “Round Two” Of Kendrick Lamar Battle

Drake is doing something. The rapper followed a mysterious Instagram account, and hours later, 100 GB of new material was released. New music, unreleased footage, alternate artwork, the works. It’s a dream come true for Drake fans, dating back to 2020. The thing that has us on the edge of our seats, though, is what the rapper has done since dropping 100 GBs on our head tops. Instead of laying low again, he has decided to follow another mystery account. Instead of teasing new material, though, the account seems to hint at “round 2” of a notable “fight.”

The account is titled “Indigo Child,” and doesn’t have a ton of followers. It’s the bio that really proves to be the only thing out of the ordinary. The information provided by the account seems to reference the 6 God’s recent 100 GB dump, and hint at more to come. “First account made some people anxious,” the bio reads. “Here we go again round 2 ‘FIGHT.’” Fans were definitely confused by the rollout for the 100 GBs release. The “round 2” could technically refer to a second drop of material, but it’s the “fight” part that speaks volumes. Drake knows what following an account with such an inflammatory bio will hint at, and he’s playing along.

One Of Drake’s Mutuals Teases An Upcoming “Fight”

Fans have been waiting for Drake to resume the Kendrick Lamar battle since the tepid response to the “Heart Part 6” diss. It was generally agreed upon that the 6 God fumbled the ball with that one, but it was also noted that there could be more to come. DJ Akademiks all but confirmed it during a stream in July. “It’s really never over,” the DJ noted. “I can’t wait to hear the first sneak diss.” Ak started to delve into more detail, but he decided to cut it off. “Matter of fact,” he said, before stopping. “I won’t even tell y’all what I heard.”

Furthermore, industry veterans like Ice Cube asserted that the battle could resume at any time. In June, Cube went on the Big Pod with Shaq and told Kendrick Lamar to stay ready. He felt that Lamar had won the battle up to that point, but noted that the story is far from finished. “[It] don’t mean Drake cant get off the canvas,” the rapper noted. “If I was Kendrick I’d stay cocked and loaded….” We’re very curious what the 6 God’s next move will be.

Drake Creates The Hook For Kanye West’s “Yikes” In New Footage: Watch

Drake really blitzed fans on August 6. The rapper decided to drop over 100 GB of new and unreleased material. There were some songs thrown in for good measure, but the truly revelatory material came in the form of video footage. One of the most notable was the footage for “Yikes.” Drake received a credit on the 2018 Kanye West song, but it appears as though the rapper was single-handedly responsible for coming up with the hook. It’s easy to see why the 6 God leaked this session, in particular.

Drake can be seen recording in an Arizona Diamondbacks jersey. The footage sees him harmonizing over the Kanye West beat that anchored the final song. What’s evident from the session, though, is that Drake was figuring out the hook for “Yikes” in real time. The pieces of what would become the finished version can be heard during the first few seconds. “Sh*t could get menacin’, frightenin’, find help,” the Toronto star sings. “Sometimes I scare myself, myself. Sh*t could get menacin’, frightenin’, find help…” He runs through the hook a few more times during the nearly three-minute session.

Drake Worked Extensively On Kanye West’s 2018 Album

To be clear, Drake’s work on “Yikes” is not a ghostwriting situation. He’s credited as one of the main songwriters on the song, alongside Consequence and 070 Shake. It’s more that Drake’s contribution to the song appears to be the most substantial of anybody involved in its making. The footage aligns with the picture that Drake painted when it came to Kanye West’s 2018 recording sessions. The rapper said that West wanted to become his “Quincy Jones,” and help boost his career, during an appearance on HBO’s The Shop.

“[Kanye] sold me on this whole speech,” Drake recalled. “Like, ‘I’m in a great place, I’m making money, I’m a father. I wanna be Quincy Jones and help you. But in order to do that, you gotta be transparent with me and you gotta play me your music and tell me when you’re dropping.” The Toronto rapper said that he fell for Kanye West’s pitch, and was subsequently burned by him. West famously surrounded the release date for Drake’s Scorpion with his own GOOD Music albums. “I was in the studio and I guess we all felt a genuine vibe from it,” the rapper admitted. Now, fans have footage of this genuine vibe.

Drake Unloaded ‘100 Gigs’ Of Unreleased Material, Including Three Songs With Young Thug, 21 Savage, And Latto

If you thought the outcome of Drake’s rap battle with Kendrick Lamar would push him into a cave, you were quite mistaken. Since the rapid beef calmed down, Drake has featured beside Camila Cabello and Gordo on new songs, and now, he’s back again with music of his own. In posts made to his now-revealed finsta (Fake Instagram) account, thanks to him reposting it on his main verified Instagram account, Drake unveiled three new songs as a part of 100 gigabytes of unreleased content that he shared with fans.

The three songs are “It’s Up” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, “Housekeeping Knows” featuring Latto, and “Blue Green Red.” “It’s Up” lands as bass-knocking track with verses from Young Thug and 21 Savage while “Housekeeping Knows” pairs Drake with Latto for a “sweet,” “uplifting,” and “inspiring” New Orleans-bounce track that concludes with a verse from the Atlanta rapper. Finally there’s “Blue Green Red,” a tropical, dancehall-inspired track that will probably do well in the remaining weeks of summer.

As if the three new songs weren’t enough, the folder of unreleased content also includes behind-the-scenes videos and other unreleased content from over the years in Drake careers. This includes BTS footage of Drake’s “Nonstop,” “Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin,” “Sticky,” “Hotline Bling,” and “What’s Next” music videos, among others. There’s also an original version of “U With Me,” videos from his 2023 show at New York’s Apollo Theatre, more BTS content from tours like 2012’s Club Paradise Tour and 2013’s Would You Like a Tour?, as well as videos of Drake recording music in the studio.

Honestly, there’s so much content in here, it’ll take a day or seven to decipher what it is and what Drake era it’s from. We’ll leave that task up to you all if you so choose to take it on.

You can view Drake’s “100 gigs” of unreleased material on his website here.

Kendrick Lamar, Drake, & More Headline The MTV Award Nominees For Hip-Hop

The MTV Video Music Awards are almost here, with September 10 being the air date. So, with just a little bit of time left before the show, the nominees are known, according to HipHopDX. In terms of overall nominations, pop megastar Taylor Swift is leading the way pretty expectedly. She is up for ten categories and her former collaborator Post Malone is tailing right behind with 9. However, we know you want to hear about the hip-hop artists who have the potential to take home the hardware, so let’s get into it.

The main players for 2024 without a doubt are going to be Drake and Kendrick Lamar. However, Eminem at the ripe age of 51, is also being recognized heavily for his efforts this year. In fact, he has six to his name all thanks to his single “Houdini”, excluding one as he is in the running for Artist of the Year. There, he’s competing with Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, and Taylor Swift. As for Drizzy and Kung Fu Kenny, though, here’s where they can win. Out of the latter’s diss records towards The Boy, “Not Like Us” is the one that was selected, unsurprisingly.

That has the possibility for taking home the Song of the Year category and you can see who he’s up against in the graphic above. As for Drake, he’s locked in for two due to his “Rich Baby Daddy” track with SZA and Sexyy Red. Best Hip-Hop and Best Collaboration are his opportunities. There are also other artist’s looking to build on their success such as GloRilla, Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Travis Scott, Jack Harlow, and more. Voting is now open, and you check out the IG post from MTV above to learn more.

What are your thoughts on Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem’s nominations for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards? Who do you foresee winning their respective categories? If Lamar takes home more trophies, will this be further confirmation of who won the beef? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Mustard Trolled Mercilessly Online For Previously Wanting A Drake Feature

Prior to this whole Drake and Kendrick Lamar debacle, Mustard (formerly DJ Mustard) and Drake were on good terms. While they did not have the most rapport in terms of making music together, they did assist YG with “Who Do You Love?” back in 2014. Perhaps this started the producer’s respect for The Boy because about five years later, Mustard was doing all he could to get him on his 2019 LP, Perfect Ten. Specifically, he wanted him for the track “100 Bands” which went onto to feature Quavo, YG, and Meek Mill. However, things obviously never came to fruition and that was even with a lot of phone calls.

Mustard was asked about this during an interview with New York’s Power 105.1 and revealed that he wasn’t even ignoring him. “Nah, he didn’t ignore me… he didn’t take the call. I called a lot of times. I seen him a couple of times and he was like ‘Send me something’”. So, why are mentioning this to you? Well, with Mustard seemingly at odds with Drake now, the latter’s fans are resurfacing this old interview and claiming that this is when the producer began to have hate for the MC.

Drake Fans Are Having A Field Day With Mustard

“They all need that Drake stimulus package🤣🤣🤣🤣”, one user on X trolls. Another makes funny callback to a Kendrick lyric on “Not Like Us”, “He a fan, he a fan, he a fan, he a fan…….”. You could argue this started the side beef between these two. However, you also have to look at Mustard producing “Not Like Us” and Drake following the beat maker’s ex-wife Chanel Thierry on social media as possible root causes as well.

What are your thoughts on Mustard wanting to get Drake on a song in the past? Do you think this is the reason that the producer has some hatred for the Canadian MC? How do you think Drake would have sounded on “100 Bands”? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Travis Scott Plays New Drake Song During DJ Set Despite Beef Rumors

Travis Scott occupied an odd space in the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar battle. The Houston rapper didn’t come out and diss Drake outright. He didn’t side with him, either. In fact, rumors spread that the two had problems of their own behind the scenes. Drake infamously brought an inflatable Travis Scott head out during a concert performance, and then pretended to shoot it down. All this while rapping his song with Scott, “Meltdown.” Things might be less dramatic than we all thought, though. Scott put on a DJ set on August 5, and proceeded to play Drake’s new single.

It’s worth noting that Gordo attended the DJ set in question. Gordo produced the song that Travis Scott played, “Sideways,” and he made a point of partying alongside Scott during the set. The clip that Gordo uploaded to his IG Story shows both him and Scott dancing to Drake’s vocals. There are lots of different ways to interpret the clip. Travis Scott may have been encouraged to play “Sideways” since Gordo was in attendance. He might have simply played the song on the inkling that it would play well during the set. Or maybe he was genuinely extending an olive branch to Drake after a combative first half of the year.

Travis Scott And Drake Have Been In A Cold War

The latter is a little hard to believe. Travis Scott may not have dissed Drizzy, but he definitely seemed content to give the rappers who were dissing him a platform. Future and Metro Boomin performed a set at Rolling Loud in March, and they brought Scott onstage as a guest. The Houston rapper did his thing, but he insisted that the duo perform their Drake diss, “Like That,” before he gets off stage. “Please, bro,” he told Metro Boomin. “I’m sorry, Metro’s trying to get out of here. Nah, Metro, you’re gon’ let that sh*t go right now, bro.”

In May, during the height of the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar battle, DJ Akademiks claimed that the latter has a secret op. “I found out Drake has an opp that none of us know,” he explained. “A huge rapper that we all think is his friend! I found that out like two days ago.” The consensus among fans was that it was Travis Scott. Still, Drake and Scott have not publicly bad-mouthed each other, or preserved their issues on wax. Maybe the Gordo clip is a step in the right direction for the “Sicko Mode” boys.

Steph Curry Admits He’s Still A Huge Drake Fan After Kendrick Lamar Beef

Steph Curry is one of the greatest basketball players of his generation. It should come as no surprise, then, that he’s been referenced multiple times by multiplatinum rappers. Drake has been a practice of likening himself to Curry since 2015. The Golden State superstar seemed to appreciate the shout outs, carrying on a public friendship with Drizzy over the last decade. 2024 hasn’t been a great time for Drake or his fans, though, and many celebrities have hopped off the bandwagon. Steph Curry isn’t one of them.

Curry was the focus of a recent profile in GQ Sports. He discussed his career, and his involvement in the U.S. Olympics. The most unexpected, yet intriguing part of the profile, however, came when the Drake vs Kendrick Lamar beef was mentioned. Steph Curry did not hesitate to weigh in, and put his sizable weight behind the 6 God. “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time,” he asserted. He recognized that it has become fashionable to rag on the Toronto superstar, but he’s remained steadfast in his fandom. “I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that,” Curry added. “But I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

Steph Curry Is A Bigger Drake Than K. Dot Fan

Steph Curry’s name was actually used as a dig against Drake on the Kendrick Lamar diss “Meet the Grahams.” Lamar urged Curry to keep his family away from the rapper, given the accusations that have been leveled at him. LeBron James’ family was also mentioned, but James has made it very clear that he has no problem switching sides. Despite being a Drake stan for over a decade, James hyped up Dot and even went to the Pop Out show on Juneteenth. The divide between Steph Curry and James was crystal clear when “Not Like Us” played during the Olympics. Curry complained about the song. “Damn with this song,” he vented aloud. “It’s not the only song in America.” James, on the other hand, said he “loved it.”

Steph Curry has never discussed Kendrick Lamar publicly. There appears to be some bizarre synergy between the Compton rapper and Curry’s Warriors, though. Fans notice that whenever Lamar drops an album, the Warriors win an NBA title. It’s lined up multiple times: 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022. The funny thing is that Lamar isn’t even a Warriors fan. He’s a Los Angeles Lakers supporter, through and through. If Dot decides to drop in 2024, though, the streak could be broken.

Stephen Curry Says He Is ‘A Big Drake Guy,’ Despite Him Falling Out Of Favor With The Public

In hip-hop, Drake appears to be public enemy number one. Thanks to Kendrick Lamar’s chart-topping diss track, “Not Like Us,” the Toronto native fell out of favor with hip-hop lovers around the world.

Even public displays of support from Lil Wayne and Lil Yachty, could win Drake over cool points. However, despite it all, future NBA Hall of Famer, Stephen Curry, hasn’t turned his back on his friend. In fact, according to him, he is “a big Drake guy.”

In an interview with GQ, Stephen Curry showed his love for the “Family Matters” rapper.

After being asked about his thoughts on the vicious Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, Curry made it clear as to which side he stands on.

“I’m a big Drake guy,” he said. “I’ve been for a long time.”

Curry went on to seemingly agree with the public’s declaration that Kendrick Lamar took home the victory in their beef. Still, that hasn’t swayed Curry’s support in any way.

“I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that,” he said. “But I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

As transplant representative for the West Coast, maybe Stephen Curry can encourage the rest of California to ease up on Drake.
