Drake’s FOR ALL THE DOGS is becoming the oft-delayed album. After dropping off a new single with SZA in “Slime You Out,” The Boy revealed he pushed the album to Oct. 6 after first pushing to Sept. 22.
“Okay, my dilemma I am faced with is either cancel shows to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show,” Drake wrote on Instagram. “I owe you all these memories we are building, and anywhere we have missed to date, we will be spinning back for sure.”
Drake’s music isn’t for everyone, but those who support the father of one go incredibly hard for him, even in times of trouble. He’s currently travelling across North America on his It’s All a Blur, while also putting the finishing touches on his For All The Dogs album. The surprise project was first announced several months ago, and while it seemed as though it would be arriving shortly after the news broke, Champagne Papi has been taking his time perfecting his work. So far we’ve heard just one single, “Slime You Out” featuring SZA. However, that’s already gotten a notably negative review from Catwoman actress Halle Berry.
The track hit streamers at noon on Friday (September 15), and many Twitter users have already admitted to being in their feelings over it. “Slime You Out” finds the former lovers singing to each other about their failures in romance, slipping in a few toxic bars just for good measure. Rather than posing together for the cover art, Drake went with a throwback photo of Berry full of slime at the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards, perfectly matching his single’s title.
Not long after the Scorpion rapper shared his latest release, Berry’s Instagram lit up with a message reading, “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… Even if you’re a woman.” When a fan dropped by the comments to ask how the mother of one feels about Drake’s image selection, she made followers aware that she doesn’t approve. “Didn’t get my permission, that’s not cool. I thought better of him,” the starlet revealed. “Hence my post today,” she continued. “When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!”
Now that the world has gotten a taste of what Drizzy is cooking up on For All The Dogs, they’re hungrier than ever to hear the finished project. However, the 36-year-old confirmed on Instagram this weekend that he’s dealing with some delays, and is anticipating on dropping his album in early October. But last night, following the second Dallas show, Drake took to his Instagram story to reveal that For All The Dogs will be arriving later than its originally planned September 22 release date.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too much longer. In the story, Drake revealed For All The Dogs‘ new October release date.

Just a few hours after Drake dropped his “Slime You Out” collaboration with SZA, actress Halle Berry has some thoughts. Specifically, she took to social media after finding out the Canadian rapper used her photo to promote the track without permission.
The photo is of Berry covered in slime, which actually happened at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Her Instagram post was a simple photo that read: “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… Even if you’re a woman!”
Berry then replied to a fan who flat out asked her what she thought about it — and she did not hold back. “Didn’t get my permission,” she said. “That’s not cool I thought better of him!”

In the first image, he poses in the black top, which shows nothing more than a close-up of Drake’s eyes across his chest. The other images reveal where the 36-year-old got his inspiration from – Jackson’s Dangerous World Tour in the early ’90s.

Once lovers, now musical collaborators: At midnight tonight (September 15), Drake and SZA have released a new collaborative single, “Slime You Out.”
Drake first hinted that he and SZA dated on his 21 Savage collab “Mr. Right Now” back in 2020. Last year, upon the release of her sophomore album, SOS, SZA confirmed they dated, but they remain on good terms.
But in the past few weeks, several fans have taken to TikTok to share theories suggestion that Drake and SZA have been hiding secret messages to each other in their songs over the course of their entire music careers.
On “Slime You Out” Drake steps back into his R&B bag, as he croons over what sounds like a slowed-down Jersey Club beat.
Drake seems to be reminding a woman about how he’s spoiled her, singing, “Sent wires on wires on wires, like Idris /
Lucky that I don’t take back what is given.”
SZA responds, accusing Drake of not coming through on his promises, singing, “Fightin’ out here, like you d*ckin’ me out / And I ain’t even comin’ over now / And you ain’t ’bout the sh*t you rappin’ about.”
The song arrives ahead of Drake’s ninth studio album, For All The Dogs.
While the romantic tension, whether real or feigned, is evident on the track, their musical chemistry is undeniable.

Before the first single from Drake’s highly anticipated For All The Dogs album hits streamers at 12PM ET today (September 15), the Canadian had some throwback photos to share on Instagram early this morning. His next LP will apparently see him returning to his roots, and this new post may indicate what we can expect. Drizzy kicked things off with a zen-looking meditation space, followed by a rooftop candid of him, longtime friend Niko, and another man mid-conversation in Las Vegas.
“I believe in the phrase things change… I just never took you for one of those things,” he wrote in the caption. It’s unclear if there’s someone specific that Drake is referring to, or if he’s simply looking back on all the people who have come and gone from his life over the years. Midway through his IG carousel, the Toronto native sits in front of the piano to play a song and lays on the floor with Courtne Bianca. In the latter snap, an image of a young Champagne Papi with his father, Dennis Graham, sits on the table behind them.
OVO co-creator Oliver El-Khatib also makes an appearance in the second half of the post. Surprisingly, this one has Wayne on the hook, and Drake’s verse is the first thing heard on the song. There’s a certain triumphant feeling as Lil Wayne boosts himself and his label. The song’s horns add to this confident, triumphant feeling. This duo would continue to make music together as the decade progressed, with Drake paying homage to Wayne after years had passed for catapulting him to the level he is today.
“I’m On One” – DJ Khaled feat. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne (2011)
This 2010s rap collab featured several songs that combined multiple hitmakers. Posse cuts were much more common in the 2010s than they are today. This one was one of the biggest, spending 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. DJ Khaled built a name for himself through these cuts, and this helped him become a household name. The track also brought frequent collaborators Drake and Wayne together once again. It’s always noteworthy when rappers from two different generations work together. This 2010s collab brought together one of the hottest artists of the decade with a rap legend. However, the track leans much more toward Sean’s era in terms of production, which came from DJ Mustard, Mike Free, and Kanye West. The song’s hook by Big Sean became an anthem of sorts, and its delivery style made it easy for audience members to sing along. Interestingly enough, the track’s beat was initially previewed in a song by Justin Bieber, but after poor communication through several channels, DJ Mustard gave it to Big Sean. The song originally spent three weeks at the No. 1 position, then reentered the same spot only a week later and spent six weeks there.
“Broccoli” – DRAM feat. Lil Yachty (2016)
Some 2010s rap collabs introduced people to a new artist, whether they were the lead or a feature. With this song, it introduced some people to both. “This song “Broccoli” was a part of the lane of rap where upbeat whimsical melodies were paired with trap drums. Dram and Lil Yachty used melodic flows that combined rapped and sung vocals. This delivery style would get even more popular as the years continued. The lightheartedness of the production pairs well with the ease of both artists’ verses and delivery styles. Amongst other fun bars, DRAM even weaves in a shoutout to Yachty towards the end of his verse. The track was the first No. 1 entry on the charts for both artists. It spent nine weeks in that position.
“Bad And Boujee” – Migos feat. Lil Uzi Vert (2017)
Seeing a group work with a solo artist is always exciting and this 2010s rap collab showed that Migos and Uzi were ready to go to the next level. After receiving a shout-out from Donald Glover during his Golden Globes acceptance speech in 2017, the single and trio were exposed to an entirely new audience. Soon after, the group performed the song on Ellen. Further, the track spent 12 weeks at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts. Following Takeoff’s tragic death, Offset and Quavo performed “Bad and Boujee” during a tribute at the 2023 BET Awards. Naturally, the song still holds up today as audience members cheered, rapped, and danced along.
This 2010s rap collaboration came at the end of the decade but was very important for the streaming era. The song spent ten weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and has over 1.9 billion streams on Spotify. When the song was initially released, Drake’s feature was hidden. Compilation videos of people reacting to hearing his voice on the song for the first time were quite popular in 2018, with DJ Akademiks’ reaction becoming a meme. The song’s structure is quite unique, considering it is a single. There are two beat switches, and the track is over five minutes long. The music video, directed by Dave Meyers and Travis himself, is just as elaborate.
