Teyana Taylor Slams “TMZ” For “Misleading” Divorce Reports

Since announcing her split from Iman Shumpert in September of last year, Teyana Taylor has made various headlines for the breakup. In November, her previously secret divorce filing started to gain traction online, and featured various shocking accusations against her ex. She argued that he displayed traits of a narcissist, treated her cruelly, was jealous of her career, and more.

Things only ramped up from there. A subsequent filing showed Taylor accusing him of being intoxicated while caring for their two small children. Earlier this week, the pattern continued, with TMZ reporting that he had the utilities in their home shut off. According to the outlet, Taylor woke up one day to find that the WiFi and cable had been cut off, and just a day later, the water. The outlet also reported that she hasn’t been receiving any financial support from Shumpert when it comes to their kids, and is asking a judge to demand child support.

According to Taylor, however, the report was nothing short of “misleading.” She took to her Instagram Story to call TMZ out recently, insisting they report the whole truth instead of only parts of it. “Yo @tmz you serious????” her message begins. “Y’all really be taking it too far with these d*mn misleading headlines and I’m tired of it! Every time I turn around it’s either half leaked and made up stories, or words being twisted up for clickbait!!!!”

She continued, “SHOW IT ALL & COME CORRECT!!! In court documents obtained by TMZ, she accused him of being under the influence while caring for their two children. Now, she’s back with even more allegations against her ex, this time involving her and her kids’ home. According to Taylor, Shumpert has begun to shut off the utilities in the house, which she claims to have noticed just this month. She recalls waking up one day to find that the WiFi and cable had been turned off, and only a day later, the water.

According to the documents, Shumpert’s brother informed Taylor that the power in the home would be shut off shortly after he moved out in October. She alleges that ever since, he hasn’t helped her cover any of the kids’ expenses. Taylor’s asking the judge to hold him in contempt for violating their standing order, and to order him to pay child support. Tyreek Hill Fires Employee Responsible For Divorce Filing

Tyreek Hill has fired the “f-cking bonehead” who filed a divorce filing for the wide receiver without his consent. “I just gotta say that it sucks that A, yeah, a lot of our stuff is public record. But behind closed doors, a lot of people got fired, too, for just doing things without a ‘yes.’ It sucks that me and my wife gotta go through that. Like yeah, public records says it and right now we’re in a spot of fixing it — I fired the f-cking bonehead that did that mistake. Now it sucks,” Hill said on a recent livestream.

Hill married Keeta Vaccaro during the Dolphins’ bye week and gifted her a game ball after scoring a touchdown a few games later. However, the young marriage has faced serious strain as three women filed paternity suits against Hill. All three children were reportedly born in 2023 and conceived in 2022. If all cases are legitimate, this would mean Hill fathered all three children while engaged to Vaccaro.

Meanwhile, another strain on the marriage was the house fire that broke out at the couple’s Florida home. Later, it was revealed that the fire was caused by a child playing with a cigarette lighter in a bedroom of the home. “It was an accidental fire,” Davie Fire Marshal Robert Taylor told The Associated Press. Taylor declined to identify anything more about the child who started the fire or the extent of the damage that was done to the house. Hill left Dolphins training earlier after receiving word of the fire. The home is located 30 miles outside of Miami. Hill paid $6.9 million for the home in 2020 after being traded to Miami.

Furthermore, Hill’s agent confirmed the rumors that all residents of the house were able to evacuate safely. “He and his family are safe. No one was injured. No one, no pets, so for that, we’re very grateful. We’re very grateful to the firefighters that put the fire out. Thankfully, the fire was contained to a limited area of the home. Obviously, there’ll be some smoke and water damage. It’s very difficult for anybody obviously to have your home catch on fire, but Tyreek was handling it, he and his family, with as much poise as you could hope,” Drew Rosenhaus said.

Fans have trolled Iman Shumpert after the former NBA player posted a defiant message of resolve aimed at his ex-wife. “10 toes chin up. You ain’t the first or the last shordy,” Shumpert wrote. However, fans were quick to troll him, saying that he “fumbled” Teyana Taylor. Shumpert’s previous tactic had been to dispute some of the claims that his now ex-wife had been making during divorce proceedings.

Iman Shumpert had previously asked the court to dismiss specific documents filed by Taylor in their divorce proceedings. Iman Shumpert was a first-round NBA draft pick for the Knicks back in 2011. He had been a solid player at Georgia Tech, although the team only made a single March Madness appearance during his three years as a Yellow Jacket. While hailed as an elite defensive prospect, Shumpert never fully reached his potential. He was never a first-unit starter, with his single-season starts benchmark set at 58 starts in his third season. He would win a ring with Cleveland in 2016. However, he only appeared in 54 games, starting 5 of them and averaging about 24 minutes.

Despite being #Goals to their fans for years now, divorce filings reveal that Taylor felt Shumpert has the tendencies of a narcissist and was struggling with insecurity due to her busy schedule while also berating her for taking time off to be a mother and heal her body after giving birth to their two daughters.

Currently, the former lover’s divorce is in the custody agreement stages. Radar Online reports that a recent hearing included a request from the athlete’s attorney to schedule a set time with him, 7-year-old Junie, and 3-year-old Rue. The court agreed that Shumpert should see his kids 4-6 days out of the month, and for now, he’ll be picking them up from Taylor’s house, where they’ll return at the end of his weekends. The holiday season belongs to the vocalist this year, though this agreement is only in place until a judge determines who gets primary custody of the girls.

Jeezy is refuting Jeannie Mai’s latest comments on their separation after she claimed to have been blindsided by the divorce during an interview with The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday. Mai told Hudson that she found out about Jeezy filing for divorce at the same time as the rest of the world and was “gutted.”

A source close to the rapper told TMZ afterward that her comments were “absolutely false,” noting that “the clear signs of their uncoupling were long established and manifesting right before their eyes.” They revealed that the two spent ample time in marriage counseling, trying out several therapists before Jeezy concluded that it was time to move on.
