Daddy Yankee Accuses Estranged Wife Of Withdrawing $100M Without Authorization Amid Divorce

Amid his divorce from his wife of 29 years, Mireddys González, Daddy Yankee has hit her with some shocking allegations. In new legal documents obtained by Billboard, he accuses González and her sister Ayeicha González Castellano of withdrawing millions from company accounts without authorization. More specifically, he alleges they took $80 million from the El Cartel Records account and $20 million from the Los Cangris music account.

He calls the alleged move a “desperate attempt” that went against “warnings received and express requests that she put a stop to any management and initiative that would compromise the company’s finance,” according to the outlet. “It now becomes evident why she has wanted to keep him in the dark and deny him information about the withdrawals and cash movements that she and her sister make behind his back,” the filing alleges. In dual motions filed earlier this week, Daddy Yankee demanded the “immediate” removal of González and her sister from both the accounts and administrative duties of the companies.

The allegations arrived just weeks after Daddy Yankee announced that he and González decided to go their separate ways. “With a heart full of respect and honesty, I want to share some important news about my personal life,” he wrote on his Instagram story in Spanish this month. “After more than two decades of marriage and after many months of trying to save my marriage, which my wife and I share, today my lawyers responded to the divorce petition received from Mireddys.”

“I appreciate the time we shared, full of blessings and values, of love and with a beautiful family that will continue to be our priority,” his statement to followers continued. “This is not an easy time, but I understand that it is part of my life process.” At the time of writing, González has yet to address the allegations publicly.

Recently, Cardi B and Offset’s apparent truce took a turn for the worse after she took to X to put the former Migos member on blast. Earlier this week, she called him a “groupie” and slammed him for posting a photo of her after they accidentally partied at the same club over the weekend. He criticized her for claiming to be in her “hoeing era,” bringing up their daughters and accusing her of lying.

“So dating because I’m single means I’m just worried about d*ck??” she asked. “You sound like a dummy.. trying to be fake nice after you did what you wanted from the beginning trying to push a narrative to these people. He also and suggested he’d sign the divorce papers once they reach a custody agreement he’s happy with.

Recently, Cardi B got candid with her supporters on Twitter Spaces, and her ex Offset didn’t like it one bit. During the brutally honest rant, which took place last night (December 17), Cardi called out her fanbase for spreading rumors about her love life online. She then clarified that she’s not currently seeing anyone, including her estranged husband. “I’m so hot right now, it’s not even funny. I’m cutting off my whole roster. If it’s not one motherf*cker opening the mouth it’s another one. I can’t even be a hoe. I ain’t giving p*ssy to nobody no more. Everyone talks too much,” she said.

“No one loves nobody, I’m in my hoeing era,” she also added. Her rant happened just a few days after she and Offset were seen partying at the same strip club in Miami on his birthday. They playfully made it rain on one another at the time, though it appears that they’ve gone right back to being on bad terms. During her Twitter Spaces rant, Cardi had some choice words for Offset after he posted a photo of her on his own page.

Chance The Rapper’s Wife Officially Files For Divorce

Chance the Rapper fans… we have some saddening news today. According to TMZ, the Chicago MC and his wife, Kirsten Corley, are officially calling it quits. His partner in crime of five years sent in divorce documents last Friday, however, the details are scarce at best. With that in mind, there’s nothing available in terms of particulars on what the financial splits will be in addition to all the other nitty gritty details. If you remember, Chance the Rapper and Kirsten have two young daughters in Kensli (9) and Marli (5). Moreover, they shared that they would raise their kids together back when they publicly split in April 2024.

While this isn’t completely shocking news, it’s still upsetting to see these two close the chapter of their lives. After all, they had dated from 2013 to 2019 and then got married later that year in California. Neither of them have released any public statements yet, although Kirsten did back when they started to pull away from one another. “After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at a decision to part ways,” she began.

In one recently surfaced clip from the night out, the two can be seen throwing wads of cash at each other. Coincidently arriving at the same venue comes after Cardi filed for divorce, earlier this year.

The clip has been blowing up on social media with fans sharing plenty of laughs, but also being critical of their behavior. “They childish af lol they’ll be back together by Spring,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added: “Who’s watching their kids though. Both losers.”

The latest drama for the former couple comes after Cardi allegedly leaked messages between her and her ex-husband, on social media. In the texts, Offset appears to attempt to flirt with Cardi, but she shoots him down. She addressed the situation during a conversation with fans on X Spaces. “Sh*t is old,” she said. “It’s not on purpose. I will never get back with this ni**a. I’m not even gonna lie, we’ve been peaceful for a week. So, we like the energy … I don’t bother you, you don’t bother me. You heard I’m with a ni**a, don’t bother me. Cardi B says she went on a massive shopping spree following her divorce from Offset, spending $2 million on designer jewelry, bags, and more. She explained the decision after claiming she charges $1.5 million for concerts in the United States. “In October alone, I spent about $2 million just on my gifts I bought for myself,” Cardi said on X (formerly Twitter) Spaces. “Because you know what? I’m divorced, I’m single and shopping makes me feel good.”

The topic originally arose as fans complained about the latest delay to her long-awaited sophomore album. She explained that, despite not dropping a new album since 2018, she’s not hurting for cash. “I get paid $1.5 million to do shows in America, depending on the venue. Because If the venue is big, I gotta get $2 million. If I’m going out of the state, I’m getting [$2.5 million.],” she said. “I pay my nanny for my baby $700 a day,. Every single time I step out just hair and makeup is about $4,000, $5,000, depending on the length of the f*ckig hair. My outfits don’t even be less than f*cking $8,000. Jeannie Mai Accuses Jeezy Of Harassing Her With “Oppressive” Subpoena

Jeannie Mai has requested that a judge dismiss Jeezy’s subpoena of her bank accounts, labeling the request “oppressive.” She presented the argument in a filing obtained by In Touch Weekly. The two sides reached a settlement in their divorce back in June, but Mai has since accused Jeezy of failing to make good on several financial agreements.

Mai’s lawyer argued: “Here, the subpoena is grossly overbroad and oppressive and it is clear that the subpoena was issued for the sole purpose of embarrassing and harassing Ms. Mai, as same requests information that in no way relates to the subject matter of the current Contempt action. Furthermore, Ms. Mai has provided numerous alternative avenues for [Jeezy] to obtain the information that he is now requesting from Ms. Mai’s personal and business bank accounts from the time period of June 2024 to October of 2024.”

They continued: “Given [Jeezy’s] propensity for failing to pay his financial obligations, both in his prior unrelated custody case, and based on the number of lawsuits that have been filed against him by his former employees and associates regarding non-payment of debts, it is clear that [Jeezy] motive in issuing said subpoena was for no other purpose than to harass and intimidate Ms. Mai.”

Mai claims Jeezy failed to place $500,000 in an account for their daughter, as he allegedly promised. Additionally, she says he didn’t make good on $92,000 owed for four months’ rent, nor did he cover tuition and childcare costs. Mustard Accuses Ex Wife Of Violating Divorce Agreement With Defamation

DJ Mustard and Chanel Thierry had an acrimonious divorce. The couple went through a lengthy and very public battle in which accusations were thrown both ways. It appeared as though both parties had moved on, but November 15 brought about the next legal complication. Mustard is accusing Thierry of violating their divorce agreement through various statements she has made on social media. The producer claims that Thierry defamed him and even questioned the validity of his alleged cancer scare.

Mustard leveled several complaints against Thierry in documents obtained by TMZ. The producer wrote that his ex-wife attempted to paint him as a dead beat father in an effort to increase child support pay to their three children. To make matters even worse, Mustard claimed that Chanel Thierry released medical information about him online. In October, Thierry took to Threads to post screenshots of text exchanges between her and Mustard. In said text, the producer states that he’s fears a potential cancer diagnosis in his future.

“This is hard for me and if you know me you should know the thoughts of cancer is hard for me I feel so lost and just helpless,” he texted. Chanel Thierry posted this screenshot, along with several others, with the caption: “Playing the ‘silent [role] while intentionally dragging me through hell for 2 years. I have the text messages still.” Thierry has since deleted the post, but Mustard believes the damage to his public image and reputation is done.

The producer is requesting that Thierry publicly retract the “defamatory” and “false statement.” He’s also asking a judge to admonish his ex-wife for violating their divorce agreement. Mustard believes, and fears, that Chanel Thierry’s statements will have a negative impact on his relationship with their children. Mustard has not had the easiest 2024, as it is. The producer’s solo album, FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED, sold a paltry 18 units first week. He proceeded to go on a social media rant and blame Drake, as well as DJ Akademiks, for the album’s performance.

Xzibit Loses His Divorce Lawyer Due To Alleged Nonpayment

Xzibit just got a pretty significant update in his divorce case, as his attorney Maya Shulman requested removal from the proceedings due to an “irremediable breakdown,” per The Jasmine Brand and In Touch Weekly. “The attorney-client relationship prevents disclosure of the details of the breakdown,” she reportedly stated. “However, it can be disclosed due to a number of reasons […] Schulman can [no] longer continue to represent [Xzibit] and there is a balance due.” Still, he retained Roslyn Soudry to serve as his legal representative instead in this ongoing case from 2021, when his wife Krista filed for divorce and they argued over how they would split their possessions since the Detroit rapper claimed that his income took a big hit.

With that allegation in mind, then some of Xzibit’s recent moves become much more clear. For example, he signed with Conor McGregor’s upstart record company, Greenback Records, and dropped off a couple of songs as his debuts on the label. We don’t know if more releases will follow soon, but either way, it’s certainly one way to keep busy and generate at least a little bit of cash.

As far as what Xzibit has already released in 2024, this includes a part two single for “Been A Long Time” and “Play This At My Funeral.” Actually, we do know at least a little bit about new music release plans, as the album King Maker will reportedly come out under Greenback Records, which will be his first since 2012’s Napalm. Considering this long wait and how hip-hop has evolved since the 50-year-old’s prime, a lot of people are very curious as to what this will sound like.

Maybe its potential success and more Greenback Music ventures will net Xzibit more money for his divorce case, as his former lawyer’s statement hinted that a lack of payment could be a source of contention for them. Either way, we know that he always commits to working as hard as possible to get things right, whether that’s obsessive studio tinkering or in the legal space. We’ll see whether this debacle clears up eventually amid this new era.
