Diddy Was Apparently Banned From Being The Joker For Halloween, But His High-Effort Costume For 2023 Is The Perfect Revenge

Last Halloween, Diddy had easily one of the year’s best costumes with his phenomenally executed Joker look. It appears Warner Bros. didn’t like that and actually forbade Diddy from wearing the costume again, but he still managed to stick it to the studio this year.

Diddy was a Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest on October 30 and at the end of the conversation, when the host asked what he was planning to be for Halloween this year, the rapper responded, “Last year, I was the Joker, and I actually got a letter from the studio that I can no longer be the Joker.” Kimmel asked why and Diddy continued, “They said it broke their trademark, that I did it too good. I swear I have this letter. I swear to God. From Warner Bros.”

Kimmel, forever stirring the pot, responded, “Well do it again, then. Do it again!” Diddy leaned into it, declaring, “So tomorrow… Warner Bros. lawyers, can you see me? Put this camera on right here. The head of legal: Tomorrow, watch what I do.”

After the show, Diddy took to Instagram to expand on the story, holding the papers he supposedly received from Warner Bros. “I don’t know what I’m going to be this year,” he said, later adding, “You win, I’m not going to be the Joker this year.” At the end, though, the video teased, “Stay tuned.”

Now, this morning, Diddy made his grand reveal. True to his word, he didn’t dress up as the Joker, but he kept his costume in the same universe, sharing a scripted, high-production-level video of himself as, who else, Batman (“The Darkest Knight,” as he called his version). In the video, Diddy’s Batman confronts a studio executive in his office and demands they end the ongoing actors strike.

In conclusion, Diddy has mastered the art of malicious compliance.

Did Diddy And Jennifer Lopez Used To Date?

Diddy recently reflected on rumors surrounding his relationship with Jennifer Lopez years back during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. While he denied certain things, it is true that the two used to date — making frequent headlines and red carpet appearances along the way.

Here’s what to know about Diddy and J. Lo’s past relationship.

The two originally began dating around 1999 and stayed together for a few years. In 2001, they appeared in matching outfits at the MTV Video Music Awards, and Diddy was also by her side when she wore her iconic green dress.

However, Diddy and J. Lo also had chaotic moments. She reportedly spent hours in jail after Diddy was involved in a fight — and things escalated into a club shooting. Both were arrested.

“I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin,” Lopez told Vibe Magazine in 2003 (via InStyle) about how he was unfaithful repeatedly. “I never caught him… but I just knew. He’d say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night.”

They would ultimately wind up splitting later in 2001. Now, J. Lo is married to Ben Affleck, and Diddy is seeing Yung Miami.

Diddy Addressed The Wild Rumor That He Wanted To Fight Will Smith After He And Jada Pinkett Smith Tried To Have A Threesome With Jennifer Lopez

Last night, Diddy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and he sure had some interesting stories to tell. He also didn’t hold back on clearing up rumors.

“Speaking of love, I saw a guy on the internet the other day,” Kimmel said. “He said he used to be your security guard, who said that when you were dating J. Lo, Will Smith and Jada tried to pick her up on a threesome, and you were gonna beat up Will Smith. Is that true?”

For a second, Diddy stares at Kimmel with a tense expression as the audience laughs. He then breaks into laughter.

“This show has gotten crazier since the last time,” Diddy jokes back about the Will Smith rumor.

“It’s all about love, though,” Kimmel asks again. “That’s not true?”

“You really heard that?” Diddy replied. “Nah.” Kimmel and Diddy then poke fun about how you can’t believe everything you see on the internet, to which the rapper and mogul responds, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Jimmy, I thought we was friends.”

From there, the interview shifts subjects to Kimmel discussing another interview Diddy did, where he revealed that he tried toad venom. Kimmel also pointed out that Eric Andre said last week he did a similar thing that provided a psychedelic effect.

Diddy Goes ‘Off The Grid’ And Loses Control In A Wild Relationship In The Trailer For His New Short Film

Diddy recently returned to his first love, music, with a new album titled, fittingly, The Love Album: Off The Grid. Unlike many of his past projects, though, it was less of a rap album than a survey of modern R&B, from throwback neo-soul sounds to the murky “PBR&B” style pioneered by The Weeknd a little over a decade ago.

But Diddy being Diddy, he couldn’t just put out an album or even go on a tour. He’s always got his hands in a lot of pies, and this time, it looks like he wants to extend his empire into movies. Today, the music mogul shared a trailer for Off The Grid: The Movie, a film inspired by his new album. The trailer, which features songs from the album, finds Diddy and go-star Eva Apio circling each other emotionally while struggling to keep each other at arms’ length.

From shooting flamethrowers in the desert to apparently running from and eventually kidnapping a police officer, Off The Grid appears to depict a Sid & Nancy-style relationship and all its self-destructive consequences. In a press release, Diddy said of his co-star: “This movie is an extension of the album’s soul. It’s not just about the music but about the stories, emotions, and experiences behind each song. Working with Eva Apio was an incredible experience; her talent and energy brought my vision to life.”

The trailer alleges the short film is coming soon to theaters. For now, though, you can check out the trailer above and listen to The Love Album here.

Meek Mill And Rick Ross Locked In A Release Date For Their Joint Album ‘Too Good To Be True’

Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ upcoming joint album Too Good To Be True officially has a release date: November 10. In a new pair of videos depicting the album’s recording process, the longtime collaborators appear to be locked into the studio, where they receive visits from DJ Khaled and Diddy, who hype up the release before title cards reveal the album’s release date.

Meek and Ross first promoted the project’s impending release with their single “Shaq & Kobe,” later announcing its title and tell Apple Music’s Ebro Darden about its creation.

The project will be released by Ross’ Maybach Music Group imprint in a new partnership with Gamma, a music startup founded by veteran music execs Larry Jackson and Ike Youssef with funding from Apple and A24. The album will see Meek and Ross join forces again for the first time since 2019’s Port Of Miami 2, where Meek appeared on “Bogus Charms.”

Since then, some fans thought that a rift had formed between the two rappers when rumors surfaced that Rick Ross had trouble getting into Meek Mill’s birthday party in 2021. Meek later expressed discontent with his record deal, but Ross downplayed his comments, saying he believed they were directed at Atlantic and not MMG.

However, those rumors appeared to be unfounded; late last year, Ross joined Meek onstage to help celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut album Dreams & Nightmares.

Too Good To Be True is out 11/10 via Maybach Music Group / Gamma.
