Foolio’s Mother Gets Late Rapper’s Face Tattooed On Her Arm

In June of this year, Foolio was fatally shot while celebrating his 26th birthday, leaving fans and loved ones devastated. Of course, the Jacksonville rapper’s mother Sandrikas Mays is especially heartbroken by the unexpected loss. Earlier this week, she even decided to pay tribute to her late son by getting his portrait tattooed on her left forearm. The tattoo artist, Power, shared a clip of the new ink on Instagram.

“Share! Was a pleasure @julio_foolio I built it based on if you’d get it yourself,” the artist wrote. “Hilltop will be on top once it heals.” The intricate piece is sure to serve as a constant reminder of Foolio, and all that he managed to accomplish in his short life. This isn’t the only way Mays plans to honor his legacy, however.

A release date for the documentary has yet to be announced. Mays went on to thank the fellow artists who believed in Foolio ahead of his death, including Young Thug and Zaytoven. Chad Dillon, Co-Owner Of Lil Baby’s Seafood Restaurant, Dies After Atlanta Shooting

Last year, Lil Baby opened a new seafood restaurant in his hometown of Atlanta, The Seafood Menu Restaurant and Takeout. He worked alongside entrepreneur Chad Dillon, who also owned another local seafood restaurant called The Boiler Room as well as a nearby ice cream shop. Sadly, however, it was reported today that Dillon has passed away. Reportedly, the 33-year-old was driving around the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood yesterday (July 23) when he was shot multiple times. He later died of his injuries.

Dillon’s attorney, Malcolm Conner, confirmed his death with Atlanta News First. He added that ahead of his passing, Dillon was planning to open a Jamaican restaurant in the neighborhood. At the time of writing, the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. A suspect has not yet been revealed.

As fans and loved ones look back on Dillon’s life and leave heartfelt messages, many are reflecting on all that he accomplished. In just one year of being open, The Boiler Room reportedly sold over 180K pounds of seafood, grossing over $8 million in sales. “I am a thinker and innovator, so even without a culinary background, I enjoy finding voids in the business market and creating solutions; creating restaurant concepts from ideation to execution, coming up with new menu items, and creating amazing customer experiences. I’m also very hands-on,” Dillon told TravelNoire in 2022.

Dillon also started a foundation aimed to help incarcerated individuals start businesses upon their release. “I feel that this group is often overlooked,” he told Alyse Eady of Good Day Atlanta at the time. “Especially when it comes to employment opportunities; it’s really hard for them to get jobs.” What do you think of Chad Dillon, co-owner of Lil Baby’s The Seafood Menu Restaurant, passing away after a shooting in Atlanta? EST Gee’s Manager EST Big Beach Allegedly Killed After Kentucky Show

EST Gee suffered a tragic loss on July 21st. The rapper’s longtime manager, EST Big Beach, was reportedly shot and killed in Kentucky. According to WDRB, EST Big Beach was found by police in a vehicle in downtown Louisville. Emergency Medical Services was called to the scene shortly after police arrived, but the manager was pronounced dead. Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Aaron Ellis claimed that LMPD have opened an investigation into the shooting, but no suspects have yet been identified. EST Big Beach was 31 years old.

EST Big Beach was in Louisville to support EST Gee’s July 20th concert. The latter was the driving force behind the EST Gee + Friends Summer Jam, which took place at KFC Yum Center. EST Gee brought out a number of superstar artists during the concert, including Lil Baby, Future and 42 Dugg. EST Gee is no stranger to violence. In 2019, the rapper was shot five times while driving back from a music video shoot. He told Rolling Stone he was fully expected to die, but managed to make a full recovery with only slight visual impairment in his left eye.

Gee also spoke on the attention that rappers get from shooting, when compared with those who aren’t in front of the camera. “Regular n**gas is targeted every day,” he asserted. “Regular n**gas get robbed for their jewelry every day. That sh*t don’t be on Instagram. Is it still sad? The sh*t ain’t [perceived as] sad, it’s only sad when it’s a rapper.” Gee’s statements were blunt and bleak enough to intimidate the Rolling Stone journalist conducting the interview. “I feel his eyes peering at me through his Black shades,” they wrote. Sadly, Gee’s comments about non-rappers being claimed has taken on new relevance in light of his manager’s death.

EST Gee has not commented on EST Big Beach’s passing, but he has referenced his manager in song. On the 2019 single “El Toro,” the rapper shouts out his manager for being hustling alongside him in the years prior to his fame. “I bet he spend his nights and days chasin’ a b*tch, I can’t trip,” EST Gee spits. “Summer ’18, me and big Beach had three bricks, on my d*ck. Six months before, all I had saved, I had spent.” EST fans have flooded the comment section of Big Beach’s Instagram to pay their respects.

Tan DaGod Bragged About Killing Alleged Abusive Ex Before Death

Up and coming Oakland rapper Tan DaGod was shot outside of a beauty supply store on the evening of July 15. Glamor Beauty Supply celebrated its grand opening, and she agreed to attend the event. Tragically, a gunman arrived, and after a brief altercation, he fired shots. Soon after, she died at the hospital, aged 27. The police are searching for the gunman, who ran off after shooting Tan, real name Alliauna Green.

Green’s shooting may have been retaliatory, though nothing is clear yet. In an interview with Off The Porch, she bragged about killing her ex, whom she described as abusive. She had a custom headstone made that had the beginning and end dates of their relationship. She also mentioned that it was the same day she had to go to court. Additionally, the headstone included lyrics to her song “Ex Wood Pack.” “Ex Wood Pack” is a diss towards her ex that she promoted in her interview. The track has inflammatory lyrics and equally inflammatory cover art. “Oh well, they’re not gonna do sh*t” about it,” she said in the clip.

The rapper’s family denies that “Ex Wood Pack,” a track that implies she killed her ex-boyfriend, was a song with any truth in it. They referred to it as a “diss track for clout.” Ernest Holloway was a friend of Green’s who spoke with Fox affiliate KTVU shortly after her death. He said that rumors floating around online about a possible motive are incorrect. He emphasized that Green was a caring individual who looked out for the community. The owners of Glamor Beauty Supply invited Green to the store’s grand opening because she was known as a supporter of Black-owned businesses in the area.

Mistah F.A.B. a prominent Oakland rapper and activist, said she was like a little sister to him. He posted on Instagram that he will “always remember her as a hustling go-getter with a world of ambition, drive and courage and a heart big as Texas!!!” Oakland residents placed flowers outside of Glamor Beauty Supply in memoriam.

Kobe Bryant’s Father, Joe Bryant, Dies At 69 After Suffering A Massive Stroke

Joe Bryant, the father of late NBA legend Kobe Bryant, has reportedly passed away at the age of 69. La Salle head coach Fran Dunphy confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer on Tuesday that Joe had recently suffered a massive stroke. His death comes over four years after the tragic passing of his son and granddaughter Gigi, who both died in a helicopter accident in January 2020.

Joe was a basketball star in his own right, prior to his son becoming one of the greatest ever. He made a name for himself as a player for both Bartram High School and La Salle in Philadelphia. The Golden State Warriors ended up drafting him in the first round back in 1975 before selling his rights to the 76ers that same year. He spent four seasons with the team before joining the Houston Rockets for a stretch. Eventually, he found continued success overseas, where he played primarily in Italy.

While Joe and Kobe were close throughout his childhood and early in his NBA career, their relationship eventually became strained later in life. Joe never made a public comment about his son’s death and faced backlash from fans after listing Kobe’s first championship ring for auction. Speaking with ESPN back in 2016, Kobe described his relationship with his parents as “sh*t.” He explained: “I say [to them], ‘I’m going to buy you a very nice home, and the response is ‘That’s not good enough’? Then you’re selling my sh*t?”

Further details on Joe’s passing have yet to be made available. Be on the lookout for further updates on the Bryant family on HotNewHipHop.

Rising Rapper Tan DaGod Shot & Killed During Beauty Store Meet & Greet

Tan DaGod, a rising rapper in Oakland, was reportedly shot and killed at the grand opening of a beauty store in her hometown on Saturday. She had shared the address on Instagram and asked fans to pull up just hours before the tragic incident. “4013 TELEGRAPH OAKLAND CA !’ JULY 13th! Foolio’s Fatal Shooting Caught On Surveillance Video: Watch

The Foolio shooting shocked the hip-hop world on June 23. The rapper was only 26 years old, and a burgeoning star in his native Florida. Police have yet to announce suspects in relation to the shooting, but TMZ has obtained surveillance footage of the fateful incident. The tragic shooting took place only two days after Foolio’s birthday and show him being approached by two men in a hotel parking lot. What follows is a chilling display of violence.

Foolio is never seen in the surveillance footage. He is either offscreen, or inside the vehicle in which his body was found. The angle of the camera shows a gunman approaching and then firing rounds. He fires on Foolio’s vehicle as it approaches him, and eventually crashes as it exits the parking lot. The shooter who is clearly seen in the video tails the car with weapon still in hand. The footage ends with the shooter in question walking out of frame. His face is not visible at any point. TMZ claims that there were multiple culprits, but the others are harder to spot in the background.

Foolio Is Seen Fleeing The Scene After Being Shot

The shooting took place at 4:37 a.m. in Jacksonville, Florida. There were three other people in the car with Foolio at the time of the shooting, but all of them survived. The investigation into Foolio’s death has been overshadowed by the antics tied to it via social media. Footage of one of the alleged shooters was posted to Instagram on July 2, and Foolio’s account commented on it. It remains to be seen who is on the late rapper’s account, but the mysterious party wrote: “Demi God” in the comment section.

Foolio’s death was the third Jacksonville shooting to take place in one week. Sheriff T.K. Waters told Fox that there are no suspects, but the police is committed to bringing the shooters to justice. He also cited the diss tracks that have been made in the wake of these shootings. “It ain’t cool now. It’s over now, its over for (Jones), its permanent,” he noted. “Now we have to deal with the mess of cleaning it up.” T.K. Waters did not provide additional information, but he did assure locals that the investigation is already underway. “If it takes us following them one at a time, we will follow them one at a time,” he asserted.

Foolio’s Hacked IG Comments On Leaked Photo Of His Alleged Killer

The Foolio saga continues. The rapper was shot and killed on June 23 in Tampa, Florida. Generally, the rap community will mourn whoever’s life was lost, but the drama surrounding Foolio has drowned out the mourning. The rapper’s enemy, Yungeen Ace, has dropped two diss tracks since the shooting occurred. Even more bizarre, Foolio’s Instagram has remained active. The account has posted videos, and even left stray comments on Yungeen Ace’s disses. The account went silent over the weekend, but returned with a vengeance on July 2.

It was on this day that a photo of the rapper’s alleged killer surfaced online. The photo is blurry, as uploaded by the account Riemoh, but Foolio commented nonetheless. “Demi God,” the account wrote, with a purple demon emoji. It may seem confusing out of context, but this is a phrase that Foolio used while he was alive. During a No Jumper interview conducted in 2024, the rapper told the host that he could never die. “I ain’t going nowhere,” he asserted. “I’m a demigod. You can’t get me.” Foolio then posted the interview on his Instagram with the caption: “I’ll Never Die I’m a DemiGod.”

Foolio’s IG Wrote “Demi God” Underneath The Blurry Photo

The “Demi God” post also confirms that someone or some group of people have maintained control of the rapper’s social media. There are some fans who have theorized that the police have taken control of the account in an effort to locate the rapper’s killer. Then there are those who think Foolio’s mother is commenting from his account, but that doesn’t explain the odd, cryptic nature of the comments/posts.

Foolio’s mother issued a public statement following the rapper’s death. It was straightforward and sincere. She also announced that would be making a documentary about Foolio’s life. “The story that only I can tell because I know the Truths from the Fakes,” she wrote. “I think [I’m] the ONLY mother that [keeps] it Real while MOST others know [damn] well what was going on. with their OWN sons.” Foolio’s mother has no problem speaking her mind, so it stands to reason that she would admit she was the one posting under her son’s name. Hopefully the real identity of the IG user is eventually revealed.

Foolio’s IG Account Baffles Fans By Claiming He’ll “Never Die”

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Julio Foolio passed away from gunshot wounds after a shooting at his 26th birthday party. Reportedly, the Jacksonville rapper had been celebrating with friends at a Tampa Airbnb when police arrived and kicked them out. They then moved to a local hotel, where the shooting took place. As fans and peers continue to mourn the tragic and unexpected loss, some have become confused, as his Instagram profile has been active in recent days.

Last week, for example, the account left a comment under his longtime rival Yungeen Ace’s diss track, “Game Over.” It later posted a promotional video for a weed company that featured Foolio himself. Now, the account has shared an interesting message, again baffling fans. “I’ll Never Die I’m a DemiGod,” they captioned a clip from Foolio’s No Jumper interview.

Foolio’s Instagram Account Posts Strange Message After His Tragic Passing

Commenters are now questioning who was behind the strange post, and whether or not he was hacked. Some are even sharing conspiracy theories about the rapper’s passing, which are all completely unconfirmed. Others are simply arguing that the posts are in poor taste, and urging whoever’s behind them to stop. Foolio’s loved ones have yet to comment on the account’s latest activity, though his girlfriend Mani B shared a heartbreaking Tweet in the days after his death, revealing the detrimental impact it’s had on her.

“This s*** so unreal I just woke up and smiled and tried to wrap my arm around my boyfriend and realized his a** not even alive OR next to me💔💔💔💔,” she wrote last week. What do you think of Foolio’s Instagram account continuing to be active despite the rapper’s recent death? What about the account posting a remark about him never dying?
