DaniLeigh and DaBaby have been through a lot together since they first entered each other’s lives. They’re both proud parents to their beautiful little girl, Velour. Still, their romantic relationship obviously fell apart shortly after her birth. We saw plenty of brutal back-and-forths documented on Instagram Live as the exes aired out their grievances. A fight between DaBaby and Dani’s brother, Brandon followed soon after. Thankfully, things have since simmered down between them. Even the “VIBEZ” hitmaker appears to have cut out his usual misadventures.

Unfortunately, Dani’s decision to drink and drive back in the spring caused more problems for the co-parents. Since she was taken into police custody in late May, little has been said on the 28-year-old’s front. We’ve been eagerly waiting for an update, and one finally came this weekend in the form of a video taken at Velour’s birthday party. In the clip below, she and Baby amicably celebrate their only child’s first trip around the sun surrounded by friends and family.

Given what she’s been through in recent months, the dancer looks good. Her long, brown hair was styled in waves with a flower keeping it out of her face. She brought the island girl vibes from her head down to her outfit, layering a long, white skirt under a brown top with a cutout in the front, showing off her toned midriff. Now that she’s somewhat back in the public eye, fans are curious to see if Dani will offer a statement regarding what she’s been up to lately.

DaniLeigh Reportedly Had An Open Bottle Of Don Julio Tequila In Her Car When She Was Arrested For A DUI

A new report has shed light on further details about DaniLeigh‘s recent arrest for drunk driving, revealing that not only did she have a blood alcohol content nearly twice the legal limit at the time of her arrest, but she also had incriminating evidence with her in the car — namely, an open bottle of Don Julio 1942. XXL has acquired a police report detailing the arrest and the collision that led to it; after allegedly hitting a man on a moped and dragging him for a block before he shook free of her G550’s grille, police said that she initially refused to pull over for officers.

Once she did, the officer who arrested her reported that both she and her passenger appeared inebriated while insisting they had not drunk any alcohol. The empty tequila bottle appeared to contradict their assessment, as did both a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer examination. DaniLeigh’s BAC was reportedly 0.148, which is way more than the legal limit of .08. The man she allegedly hit with her car went to the hospital with a fractured spine and lacerated kidney, while DaniLeigh was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and DUI damage to property.

DaniLeigh was previously investigated for assault after an altercation on Instagram with DaBaby, with whom she has a child.

R&B Singer Danileigh has been arrested for DUI, resulting in the injury of another person. According to TMZ, the singer spent the end of Memorial Day Weekend behind bars.

Daniliegh was arrested Tuesday morning in Miami Beach after hitting a moped rider and leaving them with a serious back injury.

Danileigh was stated to have been driving at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic near Miami Beach. The singer hit the moped right, dragging the vehicle for about a block, and she was stopped by nearby officers.

The singer would fail a field sobriety test and reportedly smelled like alcohol. After taking a breathalyzer, Danileigh was found to have blown twice the legal limit.

The man she hit has a kidney laceration and spinal fracture.

Danileight is now facing three felonies: driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI damage to property.

DaniLeigh is a creative multi-hyphenate who’s showcased an ability to curate chart-topping hits or choreograph dance routines. The 28-year-old has been everywhere, from DaniLeigh’s controversial public relationship with DaBaby to spearheading Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour choreography. The Def Jam Recordings phenom has worked with the likes of Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, and Pharrell. Unfortunately, she was reportedly arrested during Memorial Day Weekend. According to TMZ, she was driving under the influence when she hit somebody with her car. DaniLeigh was arrested early Tuesday in Miami Beach and is accused of causing severe bodily injury to the victim. Now facing three felony charges, her career is seriously under threat.

Named Danielle Curiel, she was born in Florida to Dominican parents. That Latin influence appears in her sound, blending the worlds of R&B, Latin, and Hip-Hop. She referenced this when talking to Unclear, stating, “Plus growing up Dominican… that’s our way of life. Family Sundays we get together, sing, dance, enjoy life.” When DaniLeigh was a teenager, she began singing and dancing. Similar to the beginnings of many other artists, she would begin to garner attention by posting covers of songs on YouTube. Moving to Los Angeles at 16, she would quickly make connections in the creative capital of the US.

Rock Icon Prince Kickstarted Her Career

However, her teenage success is largely attributed to her close relationship with the iconic singer Prince. The flamboyant rock icon initially reached out to DaniLeigh to dance to his new song, 2013’s “Breakfast Can Wait.” After submitting the video, Prince decided to have her direct the video. At only 18 years old, she suddenly found herself directing a set after years of re-enacting covers in her childhood home. Nicole Kirkland, another choreographer associated with the music video, dispelled DaniLeigh’s claims regarding her role. She stated, “Did the choreography? But I did the choreography for the submission. And then I & @antoinetroupe choreographed the video,” wrote Kirkland, before she went off on the singer. DaniLiegh clarified her stance but stood firm on Prince wanting her to be involved.

According to TMZ, the “Lil Bebe” singer is accused of driving drunk, getting into a hit-and-run collision which left the victim with a fractured spine. Witnesses say they saw DaniLeigh swerving lanes at high speed, striking a motor scooter, and dragging it for about a block; an officer was flagged down by a bystander.

When she was stopped, the officer says she smelled like alcohol, failed a field sobriety test, and was ordered to take a breathalyzer test. Her breath test was reportedly nearly double the legal limit and she was booked into county jail for driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and damage to property — all felonies. The man she allegedly hit with her car was treated at a nearby hospital for a lacerated kidney and a spinal fracture.

Earlier this month, DaniLeigh celebrated one of the biggest milestones in her career so far – working with Beyonce on choreography for the RENAISSANCE World Tour. Unfortunately, it appears the mother of one took her celebrating a bit too seriously, as she was arrested for a DUI hit and run early on Tuesday (May 30) morning. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Dani was driving near Miami Beach when multiple witnesses noticed her swerving in and out of lanes while speeding.

Amid her joyride, the “Tasty” singer struck another person riding on a motorized scooter. She proceeded to drag the moped for roughly a block while concerned residents flagged down a nearby officer and initiated a stop. While speaking with Dani, the policeman noticed that she smelled distinctly of alcohol. The field sobriety tests he conducted on her ultimately failed, and her breathalyzer test didn’t yield flattering results either. Dani first blew a 0.145, as well as a 0.148 afterward, which is nearly twice the legal limit.

DaniLeigh Ends Memorial Day Weekend with Three Felony Charges

The 28-year-old was cuffed and taken to jail, where she was promptly handed three felony charges. As per the outlet, Dani is not facing driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI damage to property. Her alleged victim is alive but did require treatment at a local hospital. According to police, he suffered a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture as a result of the accident.

27-year-old DaniLeigh’s relationship with DaBaby may not have worked out exactly as planned, but it did produce the pair’s adorable 1-year-old daughter, Velour.

In the time since the young girl’s arrival, the “BOOGEYMAN” rapper and his ex have gotten in plenty of public blowouts, one of which even resulted in a bowling alley brawl between Baby and DaniLeigh’s brother, Brandon Bill$. At this time, they appear to have a civil co-parenting arrangement, although Dani didn’t hold back on venting about her feelings about their tumultuous split when sharing her My Side EP in July.

While the 30-year-old is already a father of several other children, Velour is the Miami-born singer’s firstborn, and the pride she clearly has for her little girl shines through all the way down her Instagram feed.
