He grew up listening to artists like 50 Cent and Lil Wayne and began writing his own raps at a young age. In 2017, Lil Tjay was arrested for robbery and sentenced to a juvenile detention center. Apparently, it was during his time in detention that Lil Tjay began taking his music seriously.

After his release, Lil Tjay began posting his music on SoundCloud and quickly gained a following. As a rising star, it is possible some people want him dead and that led to how Lil Tjay gets shot.

The Shooting Incident – What Happened?

On June 21st, 2021, according to TMZ, two shootings occurred in a Chipotle restaurant and an Exxon gas station. However, it’s uncertain where Lil Tjay was shot, but two other people were hurt.

New music coming soon, we gon come back stronger than ever man.” “Thanks for the love and support ya I appreciate everything fr… we gon come back stronger than ever” he wrote in the post’s caption.

Initially, it was unclear how Lil Tjay got shot or why. However, as more information has come to light, it appears that the incident may have been gang-related. According to sources, the men attempted to commit an armed robbery against the rapper.

Did Lil Tjay Get Shot: Lil Tjay’s Injuries and Recovery

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, TMZ said that rapper Lil Tjay is getting better after being shot several times. The article says that Tjay is still in the hospital but has come back to his senses. TMZ also stated on June 22, 2021, that the rapper had to undergo life-saving surgery after being shot in New Jersey. It’s also a miracle that the rapper’s voice didn’t change after the surgery, given that the bullets impacted him near his neck. However, Lil Tjay did cancel several upcoming shows and appearances to focus on his recovery.

In a statement released on Instagram, Lil Tjay thanked his fans for their support and assured them that he was doing okay. He also asked for privacy for himself and his family during this time. Lil Tjay has since resumed his touring schedule and has continued to release new music.

Young Thug Wants To Redact Video Threatening Lil Wayne From Evidence: Report

Young Thug and his co-defendants are fighting tooth and nail to prove their innocence in the YSL RICO case. Even though they haven’t moved past jury selection, prosecutors are doing whatever they can to ensure that the Atlanta rapper remains locked up for the rest of his days. Still, his team of attorneys is working diligently to prove his innocence. Recently, Thug filed a motion in an attempt to redact 2015 footage where he allegedly threatened Lil Wayne from evidence. Per AllHipHop, prosecutors believe this would be critical in proving YSL is a street gang, especially since a conviction was secured.

Thug and Birdman were both indicted for the shooting but neither were charged. Instead, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, better known as Peewee Roscoe, was sentenced to prison after a jury convicted him of shooting at Lil Wayne’s tour bus. While the beef between Weezy and Thug seems to be water under the bridge, prosecutors stated that this piece of evidence can secure their case.

Young Thug Seeks Information On Informant

In addition to the 2015 video surrounding Lil Wayne, Young Thug also wants information on an informant identified as “K.C.” The alleged informant reportedly began working with authorities around the same time that the video about Lil Wayne surfaced. Thug’s attorneys believe that the information surrounding K.C. is imperative for their case. Though there’s yet to be a ruling, it’s clear that Thugger’s defense is working overtime to combat the prosecutor’s arguments.

K.C. was identified as the alleged culprit in a drive-by shooting that took place at T.I.G. Studios on Jan. 8th, 2015. Through the State’s discovery process, law enforcement were able to obtain the paperwork that identified K.C. as the shooter. Prosecutors have yet to prove any substantial evidence, including 911 calls, videos, or reports, related to the studio shooting. The reason why this information is important is because T.I.G. was a go-to studio for YFN Lucci. District Attorney Fani Willis has made it clear that the YSL/YFN feud turned Atlanta into a deadly city, accounting for 50 murders and shooting. We’ll continue to keep you posted on anymore updates surrounding the YSL trial.

NBA Youngboy’s House Arrest Conditions Modified To Allow Visitors: Report

NBA Youngboy is at the height of his career, though his legal issues continue to hinder his full potential. YB emerged out of prison, landed on house arrest, and began unloading project after project in a historic run. However, he recorded everything from the comfort of his home, though not by choice. The rapper isolated himself in Utah where he locked in projects like The Last Slimeto and I Rest My Case.

YB made the most of his time but it appears that a judge decided to loosen up some conditions. Per All Hip Hop, Judge Shelly Dick removed two conditions from his restrictive release. One, in particular, allows YB to invite more than three guests into his home at a time. “No more than three persons may visit Gaulden at his home at any time. (19) No visitors are allowed at the Defendant’s home before 7 a.m. or after 9 p.m. ‘Home’ is defined as the Defendant’s residence and all property and appurtenances of the residence. It is so ordered. Signed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this 15th day of March 2023,” the ruling reads.

NBA Youngboy’s remained on house arrest since late 2021. In October of that year, the rapper put up $1.5M bail. The judge ordered him to live on house arrest. The conditions didn’t allow more than three visitors at a time outside of his wife, business manager, and producer, who also resided in the same home. However, his latest attempt proved fruitful since he attempted to get off house arrest in July, though the judge denied the bid.

While YB could’ve lived anywhere, he opted for a quieter environment in Utah, which has been his creative haven. Though isolated, he honed into his craft, maintaining a sense of peace, despite the chaos that surrounds him in the music industry. It was during this time that he also secured a deal with Motown Records, ending his tenure with Atlantic, who he’s been signed to since late 2017. Hopefully, he’ll be a free man soon and we’ll get to see the rapper hit the road once his legal issues are resolved.

No Verdict Reached In XXXTENTACION Murder Trial As Jury Deliberates For 20+ Hours

The trial surrounding the death of XXXTENTACION has nearly come to an end, though the jury continues to struggle to reach a verdict. Last week, the prosecutors and defense for Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome provided their closing arguments after several weeks of trial. Over the past few weeks, the jury heard from several witnesses, including XXXXTENTACION’s uncle, and reviewed evidence before they were left to deliberate the verdict. According to CTV, they’ve tried to reach a verdict after reviewing evidence connected to XXXTENTACION’s death. They’ll return to court on Thursday (March 16th) to continue.

The jury began to deliberate The reason for the delay surrounds two technical questions as the jury asked Circuit Judge Michael Usan about two specific pieces of evidence. The first surrounded the video of the men revealing $100 bills shortly after X’s death on June 18th, 2018. They also inquired whether they could open an envelope containing a collection of fingerprints before submitting a verdict in the XXXTENTACION murder trial. Judge Usan agreed that they could review both pieces of evidence as deliberation resumes.

Awaiting Verdict In XXXTENTACION Murder Trial

Boatwright, Williams, and Newsome are currently charged with second-degree murder and armed robbery. However, they’ve maintained their innocence since the trial began. The defense claimed that the star witness, Robert Allen, who confessed to taking part in the robbery, was lying to avoid a life sentence. Meanwhile, the jury reviewed plenty of surveillance footage from  Riva Motorsports that documented the moments leading up to XXXTENTACION’s death, including one video where two masked gunmen approach X’s car before shooting him and stealing a duffle bag of cash, that most felt would secure a guilty verdict.

In addition to the footage, the jury also reviewed text messages from Boatwright, who’s alleged to be the shooter. The text messages reveal that he sent text messages to 17 people about getting a car while prosecutors claim that a woman rented the vehicle through an app. There was also a text where he said, “Tell my brother I got the money for the new phone.” Another text from Boatwright included a screenshot of the news surrounding X’s murder. Despite the evidence that prosecutors believe ties the three defendants to the crime, the defense argued that detectives didn’t thoroughly investigate other possibilities including Drake’s alleged involvement. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the verdict in XXXTENTACION’s murder case.

Arrest Made in Subway Hate Crime Against Autistic Teen

Screen Shot 2023 03 16 at 9.14.38 AM

Comedian/Activist Rosemary Severino organized a NYC Call to Action against racism and bullying after a traumatizing video circulated this week. As a result, a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in the ruthless caught-on-video assault of a 15-year-old straphanger who was dragged off a Manhattan subway and pummeled on the platform, cops said Wednesday.

The suspect was charged as a juvenile with aggravated harassment, assault, harassment and menacing in connection to the disturbing Friday rush-hour attack in Washington Heights, footage of which began circulating online Monday, cops said.

Two suspects are still on the loose — including a young woman who can be seen in the video pulling the victim off a northbound A train at the 181st Street-Fort Washington Avenue station and screaming, “Get off!”

The video, posted to Instagram, shows the woman keeping a grip on the boy’s shirt, pulling him down the busy rush-hour platform and repeatedly yelling, “Walk! Walk!”

A male voice can then be heard chanting the N-word followed by “alert.”

The victim’s glasses are yanked from his face, and he throws a few jabs to defend himself as someone yells, “Fight back!”

The teen suffered a cut on his lip, pain in his body and his glasses were broken during the attack, cops said.

He did not know his assailants, according to the NYPD, which said the Hate Crime Task Force was notified because of the anti-black slur that was used.

During a Tuesday afternoon rally at the same station where the assault took place, some called the teen a “transit kid” — a term referring to young people who are fascinated with riding subways and buses.

“We just enjoy the subway,” said Eduardo Medellin, 15.

“We find happiness, our safe place, in the subways.”

“That’s how we make friends. We all feel connected. Like a brother. We’re a community that enjoys transit.”

“He’s a part of us,” he said about the victim.

It remained unclear what led to the attack, but Eduardo Medellin – who calls himself a “Transit Kid” – previously told FOX 5 this was not the first time an incident like this has occurred.

“We’ve been fighting for years and years, and it’s getting out of hand now,” Medellin said at the rally. “We feel like we need your help. We need someone to help us.”

Activists at the rally held signs reading “Stop Racism and Bullying,” “New York is not hate!” and “Schools teach kindness, love, empathy.”

“I think it’s unacceptable to even feel like it’s OK to use that slur,” said organizer Rosemary Severino.

“The way they were chanting, that’s what really broke my heart.

“This is not what we should be seeing from our youth, especially those kids,” she added. “It’s unacceptable.”

NYC Transit President Richard Davey condemned the ruthless attack.

“This video is heartbreaking and disturbing and our hearts are with the young man seemingly being senselessly victimized,” Davey said in a statement.

“No one should be subject to this sort of hateful harassment while they are riding with New York City Transit, and the MTA is fully cooperating with the NYPD in its investigation into the incident.”
Thank you to those who came out to the rally in support of keeping our teens and communities safe.
We salute you!

A$AP Rocky Ordered To Return To Court To Determine If Shooting Case Will Go To Trial

He may be preparing for the arrival of his second child, but A$AP Rocky’s legal troubles are intensifying. In August 2022, Rocky pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault. It was related to a shooting involving A$AP Relli, real name Terrell Ephron. According to reports, Rocky is accused of firing shots in Relli’s direction during an altercation in Hollywood, Calif., in November 2021. In addition to the criminal case, Relli also filed a civil lawsuit against his former friend.

More recently, The Daily Mail has offered an update on the criminal case. There was reportedly yet another hearing today (March 14) in Downtown Los Angeles. Rocky has been out on $550K bail and wasn’t present in court, but he was ordered to return. Judge Kerry White wants Rocky back in court on June 5 for a hearing to determine if the case goes to trial.

A$AP Rocky Allegedly First Pointed Firearm At Relli

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – AUGUST 17: Rapper A$AP Rocky (R) pleads not guilty to assault charges during his arraignment hearing at Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center on August 17, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, has been charged with two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm stemming from a November 2021 incident in Hollywood. He remains free on $550,000 bond and is due back in court November 2. (Photo by Irfan Khan-Pool/Getty Images)

According to reports, Rocky first pointed a gun at Relli. Later, during an argument, he’s accused of letting off a few shots, and one reportedly grazed his target. Relli walked away with a minor injury, but he’s taking Rocky to court. “Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences,” said Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón. “Not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood. My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case. [We] determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”

However, in September of last year, Rocky’s legal team filed documents denying he was responsible for any shooting. “Answering defendant generally denies each and every allegation of the complaint. And specifically denies that plaintiff has been damaged in any amount or in any way as a result of any act or omission of answering defendant,” a filing obtained by Complex reads. It further alleged Relli’s injuries were caused by someone else. Additionally, it says that Relli “failed to exercise reasonable care to avoid the consequences of harm.”

An Attorney’s Reaction

The rapper’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, also denied the allegations. “Rocky didn’t commit a crime,” Tacopina said. He described it as an extortion attempt by a former associate. Tacopina also claimed Relli “threatened to make false criminal accusations if Rocky didn’t pay him. What will become abundantly clear in the upcoming months, based on facts and evidence, is that Rocky is innocent of these charges.”

Julia Fox Posts Brother’s $450K Bail After He’s Arrested For Having Guns, Narcotics

Her outrageous antics steal attention, but Julia Fox is sharing the spotlight with her brother. We previously reported on Christopher and Samuel Fox being detained by authorities in New York. Samuel, Julia’s father, was quickly released; however, Christopher, the actress’s brother, was charged with “criminal possession of controlled substance, manufacture of a machine gun, manufacture of a rapid fire modified device, manufacture of a dangerous instrument, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of drug paraphilia.”

Christopher was reportedly held on a $450K bond, and today (March 14), it was revealed his sister paid for his release. Ira Judelson, a bail bondsman, spoke with The Post about his interaction with Julia. “Of course, Ms. Fox seemed upset,” he said. “It is her brother.” When Christopher exited the courthouse, he jumped into an awaiting vehicle with his father. They reportedly took off without giving any comments to reporters.

Christopher Fox & The Ghost Gun Raid

ABC News 7 initially reported that the NYPD’s Ghost Gun Team has been investigating the actress’s brother for some time. Neighbors called the authorities to report mysterious packages being delivered to Christopher’s apartment. During a raid, police learned that he was allegedly creating ghost guns. Those firearms can be 3D printed, and they’re especially dangerous because they can’t be traced. There aren’t any serial numbers or traceable markings—but the guns and parts weren’t all that police found.Narcotics were also reportedly located.

Police reportedly found “pills, a pill press, pressure cookers, fentanyl, chloroform, heroin, propane, formaldehyde, and materials often used to make explosives.” Christopher Fox will return to court on May 4. Julia hasn’t spoken about her family’s controversy, but it was noted that in her bail receipt, she listed herself as an “actress/model.” However, she stated she was “retired.”

Julia Fox Has Been Candid About Her Past

On several occasions, Julia Fox has opened up about her past addictions. She’s struggled with substance abuse and even revealed she’d lost friends to overdoses. These days, Fox is sober living, at least to her liking. She doesn’t let jabs about her past drug use get to her, like those from Azealia Banks during their thumb-thugging internet war.

Osundairo Brothers Reenact Jussie Smollett Attack

Fox Nation is bringing the Jussie Smollett scandal back to the forefront. Last week, the new docuseries Jussie Smollett: Anatomy of a Hoax was revealed, and the show premiered yesterday (March 13). It was in January 2019 that Smollett told the Chicago Police Department he was walking down the street in the early morning hours when he was attacked by two men. He described them as white with red MAGA hats, and alleged they assaulted him while spewing racist and homophobic slurs. The Empire actor appeared with a noose around his neck, purportedly placed there by his assailants. Quickly, the CPD got to work to find the suspects.

However, their investigation uncovered that the attack was potentially staged. The Osundairo brothers, two actors and fitness enthusiasts, soon found their names encased in controversy. In February 2019, investigators raided the brothers’ home, and they reportedly found information tying them to Smollett. Evidence later revealed that Abimbola and Olabinjo were allegedly paid $3,500 dollars by the actor to pull off the deception. The brothers reenacted the attack in Anatomy of a Hoax.

Fox Nation shared a clip of their docuseries where the Osundairo brothers revisited the location they claim the fake assault took place. They smiled and joked about the experience as they relived the encounter. First, they noted that the bench where they had waited for Smollett had been removed. “They took our beautiful bench,” said Ola. Abel added, “We got here with 10 minutes to spare, and we had to plan our escape route to survey the land.”

Abel then showed where Smollett lived, “right above the stairs that we’re going to attack him at.” He also communicated they made sure to arrive at “2:00 a.m. sharp, on the dot.” Abel stated the actor didn’t want them to have any phones on them. “He said so we don’t lose ’em. I don’t know if that’s really the reason, but you can deduce your own reason.” The brothers claimed when the agreed-upon time rolled around, Smollett “was nowhere to be found.”

Jussie Smollett Finally Shows Up

Because they didn’t have their phones, the brothers couldn’t contact Smollett. About five minutes later, Smollett reportedly appeared, and they got into character. “Is that him? Let’s get that n******,” they recalled saying. “As we cross the street, we say ‘Hey’ to get his attention,” remembered Abel. “He turned around, looked at us, and that’s when we started yelling the famous slurs he wanted us to yell.”

Meanwhile, Smollett is currently fighting his false report convictions. He was sentenced to 150 days in jail but was released after six. The actor has continued to insist he did not stage a hoax, but his supporters fear his career has been irreparably harmed due to the scandal. Check out the Osundairo brothers reenacting their line of events above.

Young Thug Court Photo Surfaces Following Metro Boomin’s Update

After a photo of Young Thug flexing behind bars appeared online, another image of the rapper surfaced. Thugger has been at legal war with prosecutors claiming he is a street gang leader. He was arrested last May in connection to the RICO case against YSL, as authorities claim the record label is a criminal organization. Thug’s supporters have insisted he is a respectable figure who has helped other creatives succeed. However, he faced several charges connected to drugs, weapons, and racketeering.

The jury selection process has been daunting. It has continued for months; according to reports, there isn’t an end in sight for some time. It could be the summer, if not even later this year, before the trial begins. Several of Young Thug’s alleged associates have already taken plea deals, including Gunna. He was the first to cop to an Alford plea, and in court, he made admissions that had many labeling him as a snitch.

Young Thug’s Sister Gave An Update

According to Thug’s sister Dolly White, the Trap artist is doing well, all things considered. She also said he told her he would be home soon, although there are some who aren’t so enthusiastic. Additionally, there have been several conversations about Thug’s relationship with Gunna. The latter has kept a low profile since leaving jail in December, and his peers speculated about Gunna’s next move.

Some theorize that to move forward with his Rap career, Young Thug must speak up on behalf of Gunna. Recently, DJ Akademiks hopped on Twitch to speculate about the “Pushin P” rapper’s future. He claimed Gunna already had an album ready for release but is questioning whether he should stay with YSL or move to another label. The validity of those rumors is questionable, but the gossip spread like wildfire.

Metro Boomin Talked To Thugger

Days ago, Metro Boomin revealed he’s spoken with Young Thug while on DJ Drama’s The Streetz Iz Watching podcast. “I be talking to him, he’s blessed man,” Metro said. “Anybody know Slime know he got a heart of gold, but he got the heart of a warrior at the same time. So, like, he got his head up. And I pray for him every single day, even since everything first happened. I pray for him every single day.”

Ahmaud Arbery’s Killer Look To Overturn Hate Crime Conviction

In 2020, Ahmaud Arbery was killed in cold blood by three people just for jogging past them. According to Time, these convicted felons are claiming it was not a hate crime. Greg McMichael and his neighbor William “Roddy” Bryan are trying to claim that their murder had nothing to do with them being racist. They just wanted to kill a criminal.

Greg’s son, Travis McMichael was smart enough to admit that it was a hate crime, at least. Instead, his defense was based on a technicality. The streets where the murder happened were technically not public. The reason why he is not arguing against the murder being a hate crime is because of something he did in 2018. He posted a comment on a Facebook video of a black man pranking a white person. His comment threatened to murder the African American.

Ahmaud Arbery Hate Crime Defense

A sign for Ahmaud Arbery sits on the ground outside the Glynn County Courthouse as the jury deliberates in the trial of the killers of Ahmaud Arbery on November 24, 2021 in Brunswick, Georgia. Greg McMichael, his son Travis McMichael, and a neighbor, William “Roddie” Bryan were found guilty in the February, 2020 fatal shooting of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery. (Photo by Sean Rayford/Getty Images)

McMichael tried to wiggle out of his hate crime conviction. He said that he started chasing and killing Arbery, not for his skin color, but rather because he trespassed for half a second. Months before the murder, Aubery was caught on camera going into a neighbor’s house that was under construction. He only popped in and out. Aubery did not vandalize anything, nor did he steal anything. He wasn’t even armed. McMichael’s attorney had written an explanation that explains that Arbery’s race was “a fact of no greater import to Gregory McMichael’s calculus than Mr. Arbery’s biological sex, the shorts he was wearing, his hairstyle, or his tattoos.”

Bryan’s defense, at least, had a very slightly larger margin of doubt than McMichael’s. He claims he had not seen the security footage. He only saw a black man running away from his neighbors. So, he just went along with it, assuming that his neighbors had good reason. He also claimed that Aubery never called out for help. Nor, did he show signs of being a victim of an unprovoked attack.
