FBG Duck’s Mother Reacts To Guilty Verdict In Son’s Murder’s Case

FBG Duck’s murder’s trial finally got a verdict, as the court found six O-Block members guilty for his tragic passing. Moreover, his mother recently took to social media to share her reaction along with presumably loved ones and family members present at the proceeding. For a chunk of the video, she simply walks and stares at the camera as her colleagues joke around, saying “Pop that booty juice!” for whatever reason. “I wanna see y’all tonight at my house,” the rapper’s mother exclaimed. “We popping bottles, we celebrating. We havin’ a ‘justice served’ party for Duck tonight.

Y’all don’t wanna know what I’ve been through,” FBG Duck’s mother continued. “These motherf***ers smug talking about, ‘They still breathing. Duck dead.’ One of the lil’ girls walked behind us and said, ‘He ain’t never coming back, though.’ What? So y’all thought that s**t would happen the way it happened? And a motherf***er was gonna get away with it? What y’all think finna happen next? The way they threw them people up under that bus. The way they mentioned Lil Durk’s name. Baby, you better f***ing know it! Well, you better know it.

“I ain’t did s**t wrong,” FBG Duck’s mother stated. “Nothing. Nothing wrong. They’re finna come and talk to me. Look, can I speak with you? Is it okay?” Then, she answered questions from a reporter. “Yes, [I feel like they served justice]. Look, from being kicked out the courtroom three times to just allowing God to do his work. And that’s all I’ve been, is steel. When stuff like that happen to a good person, regardless of what somebody else think of them, it ain’t gon’ go unpunished. Vengeance… I could never want another mother to feel like this. To see they child shot down in the street like a dog. Okay? They had an FBG Duck death party. That’s how it meant to them. They threw an FBG Duck death party! Same thing that make you laugh gon’ make your a** cry.

“That’s all I’ma say about that,” she concluded. “Knowing that they would not do that to another family brings me comfort. Knowing they will not terrorize nobody else. They’re done, the whole crew. O-Block and everything of it is done, they a** is done. They coming to get me now. Bye, y’all.” For more news and the latest updates on his case, log back into HNHH.

Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, says the actor remains confident in the legal process. He “looks forward to fully clearing his name.” She said in a statement to NBC News: “It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her. We are grateful for that. We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbari, the jury nevertheless found that Mr. Majors was somehow reckless while she was attacking him.”

Jabbari’s attorney, Ross Kramer, conversely told CNN: “Ms. Jabbari testified publicly & truthfully, even though reliving these traumatic events on the witness stand was obviously painful. Unfortunately, for every survivor like Ms. Jabbari who comes forward to hold their abuser accountable, there are many others who believe that they cannot. Jussie Smollett Loses Appeal, Vows To Take Case To The Supreme Court

Jussie Smollett has lost his appeal for fabricating a violent hate crime against himself. An appeals panel ruled 2-1 against Smollett, meaning his original 150-day prison sentence will be upheld. However, Smollett announced in the hours after the verdict that he wasn’t done fighting. “We wish to highlight that the decision was divided, with Justice Lyle offering a detailed analysis in favor of Smollett. We are preparing to escalate this matter to the Supreme Court, armed with a substantial body of evidence,” a representative for Smollett said.

While he waited on his verdict, Smollett entered rehab. Representatives for Jussie Smollett have told TMZ that the actor entered rehab in mid-October to address unspecified issues. “Jussie has had an extremely difficult past few years. He has quietly been working very hard for some time now and we are proud of him for taking these necessary steps,” a statement from his team read. Furthermore, the outlet was told that Smollett is in an outpatient program. However, many viewed the move as an attempt to garner sympathy ahead of his appeal verdict.

Jussie Smollett “Attackers” Criticize Rehab Move

Some of the most vocal critics of Smollett’s rehab timing were the two men he hired to attack him. Ola and Bola Osundario spoke with TMZ, the brothers said that Smollett had a problem that required rehab, he should have checked himself in a long time, not when his court ruling was imminent. Furthermore, the brothers argued that the rehab move is a sympathy play. They believe Smollett is trying to earn house arrest rather than being sent to prison. It’s unknown when Smollett left rehab.

However, Smollett’s decision to elevate his case to the Supreme Court complicates matters. It’s unclear if he will be remanded into custody while his latest, and likely final, appeal plays out. Furthermore, the timeline of when his case would be heard by the Illinois Supreme Court is also unknown. This remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates as and when they emerge.

YNW Melly Verdict: Betting Website Accepts Wagers As Rapper Continues To Gain Streamers

It was reported last week that YNW Melly’s double murder trial will likely go on for at least another month. The 23-year-old has been behind bars on accusations of killing his two friends – YNW Juvy and YNW SakChaser – in 2018. Nevertheless, he’s consistently maintained his innocence. Melly’s trial so far has been filled with ups and downs. At this time, it’s hard to say whether the embattled artist will walk away a free man, or face the death penalty for his alleged crimes.

As Vibe reports, the internet continues to speculate about what the Florida native’s fate will be. Of course, some people are bypassing taste completely with their discourse. For instance, @betonline_ag is offering a $100 Freeplay to one lucky winner who comments under a recent Instagram post with their opinion on whether Melly is guilty or not. “Bet on @ynwmelly’s trial at the link in @BetOnline_ag’s bio and get a sign-up bonus of up to $1,000,” the company further urged viewers.

Speaking of his music, as Bryson “Boom” Paul reports, Melly’s streaming numbers have consistently increased since his trial began in June. This week there was a 1.2% growth, marking 143,445 new monthly listeners. While still impressive, it’s actually the accused killer’s lowest increase as of late.

Megan Thee Stallion Reflects On Tory Lanez’s Guilty Verdict

Megan Thee Stallion says that the idea of people not believing her accusations against Tory Lanez never originally occurred to her. The Traumazine rapper reflected on the guilty verdict in Lanez’s trial during a new interview with Elle. She says that the extensive discussion will be her last public comment on the matter.

“It never crossed my mind that people wouldn’t believe me,” Megan said. “For years, my attacker tried to leverage social media to take away my power. Imagine how it feels to be called a liar every day?”

Megan Thee Stallion Arriving At Court

LOS ANGELES, CA – DECEMBER 13: Megan Thee Stallion whose legal name is Megan Pete arrives at court to testify in the trial of Rapper Tory Lanez for allegedly shooting her on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA. (Jason Armond / Los Angeles Times via Getty Images)

The Toronto rapper ended up being found guilty of shooting Megan after a party in the summer of 2020. He was convicted on three felony counts and faces up to 20 years in prison. “Still, I knew the truth and the indisputable facts would prevail,” Megan continued. “I had worked way too hard to reach this point in my career to let taunts deter me. When the guilty verdict came on Dec. 23, 2022, it was more than just vindication for me, it was a victory for every woman who has ever been shamed, dismissed, and blamed for a violent crime committed against them.”

As for where she’s at now, Megan says that she’s doing much better but is still battling with leftover anxiety from the entire ordeal. “I’m in a happier place, but I still have anxiety,” she admitted to the outlet. “I’ve accepted this chapter of my life as part of my journey, but I will not allow it to define my journey. I’ve been dragged through the mud, but I’m so happy that I’m able to finally come out of it with a new perspective.”

Tory Lanez isn’t giving up yet, however. He’s filed a motion seeking a new trial while arguing jurors were “erroneously allowed” to see an Instagram comment. The comment reportedly shows Lanez stating that Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris was not the shooter.

XXXTENTACION’s Mother Reacts To Verdict In Murder Case

Though no verdict will bring her son back, XXXTENTACION’s mom can feel some relief now that a jury delivered justice. Cleopatra Bernard rejoiced at the verdict that found the three men standing trial in XXXTENTACION’s murder guilty on all counts. “You finally got justice Jah,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of her son. Bernard attended court today where the jury found Dedrick Williams, 26; Trayvon Newsome, 24; and Michael Boatwright, 28, guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery. “I Made sure you were present in the room,” his mom added while wearing a t-shirt with XXXTENTACION’s face.

Prosecutors accused Williams, Newsome, and Boatwright of planning and robbing XXXTENTACION outside of Riva Motorsports in Broward County on June 18th, 2018. A fourth suspect, Robert Allen, took to the stand where he testified against the other defendants. Allen said that he was the getaway driver while the other three individuals executed the robbery. All four men await sentencing on April 6th, though Allen could receive time served for his cooperation. The first-degree murder charges alone carry a possible life sentence.

XXXTENTACION Mom Attends Murder Trial

Though Cleopatra Bernard attended the trial, she was also mentioned during the preliminary hearings. Earlier this year, the defense successfully argued that XXXTENTACION’s mother needed to disclose the amount of money she received since his death. Given that she took control of his estate after his passing, the defense felt as though this information would be critical in creating their argument. Evidently, that didn’t work out for them in the end.

Over the years since her son’s death, XXXTENTACION’s mom led his estate and provided fans with updates on his posthumous releases. In 2022, Bernard led the campaign of X’s documentary, Look At Me, which explored his career and personal life, specifically the allegations of abuse against his ex-girlfriend. Though some fans felt a way about it, Bernard explained that she aimed to humanize her son with the documentary’s release. However, she also admitted that she wished she included documents proving that his ex-girlfriend wasn’t pregnant at the time of the domestic abuse incident. Check out Cleopatra’s response to the guilty verdict above.

No Verdict Reached In XXXTENTACION Murder Trial As Jury Deliberates For 20+ Hours

The trial surrounding the death of XXXTENTACION has nearly come to an end, though the jury continues to struggle to reach a verdict. Last week, the prosecutors and defense for Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome provided their closing arguments after several weeks of trial. Over the past few weeks, the jury heard from several witnesses, including XXXXTENTACION’s uncle, and reviewed evidence before they were left to deliberate the verdict. According to CTV, they’ve tried to reach a verdict after reviewing evidence connected to XXXTENTACION’s death. They’ll return to court on Thursday (March 16th) to continue.

The jury began to deliberate The reason for the delay surrounds two technical questions as the jury asked Circuit Judge Michael Usan about two specific pieces of evidence. The first surrounded the video of the men revealing $100 bills shortly after X’s death on June 18th, 2018. They also inquired whether they could open an envelope containing a collection of fingerprints before submitting a verdict in the XXXTENTACION murder trial. Judge Usan agreed that they could review both pieces of evidence as deliberation resumes.

Awaiting Verdict In XXXTENTACION Murder Trial

Boatwright, Williams, and Newsome are currently charged with second-degree murder and armed robbery. However, they’ve maintained their innocence since the trial began. The defense claimed that the star witness, Robert Allen, who confessed to taking part in the robbery, was lying to avoid a life sentence. Meanwhile, the jury reviewed plenty of surveillance footage from  Riva Motorsports that documented the moments leading up to XXXTENTACION’s death, including one video where two masked gunmen approach X’s car before shooting him and stealing a duffle bag of cash, that most felt would secure a guilty verdict.

In addition to the footage, the jury also reviewed text messages from Boatwright, who’s alleged to be the shooter. The text messages reveal that he sent text messages to 17 people about getting a car while prosecutors claim that a woman rented the vehicle through an app. There was also a text where he said, “Tell my brother I got the money for the new phone.” Another text from Boatwright included a screenshot of the news surrounding X’s murder. Despite the evidence that prosecutors believe ties the three defendants to the crime, the defense argued that detectives didn’t thoroughly investigate other possibilities including Drake’s alleged involvement. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the verdict in XXXTENTACION’s murder case.

XXXTENTACION’s Family In Court Awaiting Verdict

XXXTENTACION’s family attended court today (March 13) to await the verdict in the trial concerning his murder. Moreover, closing arguments began recently and it seems like the case is almost coming to a close after some more deliberation. While it’s unclear who exactly is present at court itself, surely many loved ones, whether close to X or just his fans, are waiting with similarly heavy hearts. Furthermore, this trial is starting to wrap up almost five full years after the Florida rapper passed away following an armed robbery outside a motorcycle shop. In the years since his passing, the pain of his loss hasn’t hampered his enduring legacy.

However, an update on the verdict should come sooner rather than later, given that jury deliberation began on Wednesday (March 8). Not only that, but the jury have reportedly deliberated for over 12 hours at this point over the fatal case. In fact, the jury asked the judge to show jurors text message evidence from the suspects’ phones. Specifically, their request relates to codefendants Michael Boatwright and Dedrick Williams. Jurors asked that they review texts, photos, videos, and screenshots shared between the day before the murder and the day of the murder.

XXXTENTACION Verdict Soon To Come, Family Awaits It At Court

Tragically, some of the “Look At Me!” rapper’s family, such as uncle Leonard Kerr, are all too familiar with his death. Kerr was actually with X at the time of the robbery. “We get in the car to drive out,” he recounted on the witness stand. “At the exit, when we pull out, we stop. [XXXTENTACION] looked to the left. I looked to the right. By the time [XXXTENTACION] looked to the left, I see a car coming down the block and blocked the entrance. After the car pulled by the entrance, two persons jump out the side doors. One come on Jahseh side, one come on the side that I’m on.” Later, he went on to describe how the suspects robbed him, he fled, heard gunshots behind him, and called X’s mother after he returned to the scene and found him unresponsive.

Meanwhile, the most recent development before jury deliberation was a newly shared video of the codefendants celebrating after their crimes. Moreover, the suspects allegedly celebrated with the cash that they took from X before taking his life. While this case is nothing if not marred in tragedy and callous cruelty, at least justice might be served soon. Considering that, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on the XXXTENTACION murder trial.

Remy Ma Believes Tory Lanez & Megan Thee Stallion Verdict Was Swayed By Media

Remy Ma recently stated that the media swayed the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion shooting verdict. Moreover, that case resulted in Lanez’s conviction. Furthermore, she spoke on The Jason Lee Show along with Hitman Holla about how the media typically engages in favoritism. Of course, many quickly assumed that she’s on Lanez’s side, perhaps rightfully so. However, the New York rapper’s comments took a broader aim at media coverage, and she didn’t say whether she believed Lanez shot Meg. Overall, it’s a difficult and relevant conversation to have, albeit one with specific implications in this case when talking about media influence. After all, many agreed with her, but still knew that the evidence against the Canadian singer and rapper pointed to his guilt.

“I feel like when it come to public cases, the media convicts people and the media determines what a verdict is,” Remy expressed. “Coming from somebody who was on trial before, everything is never 100% on your side. Each side is gonna bend s**t so that it goes to whatever caters to them. I just feel like lot of times, especially with celebrities, everybody go with who’s their favorite.” Moreover, Lee pushed back with some questions. “This hashtag, ‘Protect Black Women.’ Is it a real thing? ‘Cause everybody be talking about the Black queens. But I feel like when Meg and that whole Tory thing went down, nobody was really standing up for her.”

“I mean, the thing with that is, nobody knew the truth,” Holla responded. “They don’t, but I’m saying that you can’t expect somebody to protect somebody. ‘Cause what if she was, like..? I’m just saying, I stay out of people’s business if I don’t know what’s going on. If I don’t know if it’s true or not, I stay out the way.” Then, Lee asked a doubtful Remy if she thinks Tory shot Meg. “I don’t know, I wasn’t there, I’m not in the space to talk about anybody getting shot. If she was black or white, I wasn’t there.”

For what it’s worth, Lee did combat some of these obfuscations, mentioning the paperwork of the case and evidence. However, Remy’s comments seem less antagonistic than they are skeptical of the media as a whole. While that concern is valid and always applicable to cases like these, it especially insinuates doubt after a final verdict. Regardless of your take, come back to HNHH for the latest on Remy Ma, Megan The Stallion, and Tory Lanez.
