Lil Reese Is Serving A 5 Year Prison Sentence

Lil Reese was sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of assaulting a family member back in March 2022. The sentence was handed out on October 16 in Harris County, Texas, as caught by HipHopDX. He’ll be eligible for parole in August 2026 with a release date currently set for February 6, 2029.

Reese was previously arrested and held on a $60,000 bond for the assault in May 2022. Further details are unclear. It’s just one of several incidents the 31-year-old rapper has faced legal trouble for in recent years. This September, he was arrested for allegedly punching and strangling his ex-girlfriend at a strip club in Houston. Before that, a woman accused him of allegedly raping her, although the case was later dismissed in court. “So today was my first court date for the false ass sh*t that b*tch said I did and guess what case dismiss I wanna see they post and put this all around like they did when they said I rapped [sic] a lien b*tch,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) at the time.

The latest update on Reese comes after he shared a picture of himself behind bars on his Instagram Story in November. In doing so, he had Lil Durk’s “Love Songs 4 the Streets” playing in the background. Check out the full details of his prison sentence above.

Matt Gaetz Exposed By House Ethics Committee For Paying For Underage Sex

Ever since 2020, former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz has faced accusations of sex trafficking and soliciting sex with minors. While the Department of Justice previously said that they would not investigate him, the House Ethics Committee took matters into their own hands and, in their recently released report on the matter, provided their findings. The committee found that the controversial politician paid about $90,000 in total for various instances of underage sex with a 17-year-old high school student and for many different drugs. Gaetz reportedly paid a dozen women for sexual services between 2017 and 2020 according to CBS News.

According to the report, one of the underage women that Matt Gaetz paid was a high school junior at the time that he sexually engaged with in front of other individuals. The committee claims to have evidence of “tens of thousands of dollars in payments to women […] likely in connection with sexual activity or drug use.” “Victim A,” the then-17-year-old’s name of reference in the report, testified that Kevin McCarthy’s ouster gave her $400 in cash at a party seven years ago, something that she “understood to be payment for sex.”

Furthermore, Matt Gaetz and “Victim A” reportedly engaged in sexual acts at that 2017 part twice, the woman did not tell him that she was under 18, and he did not ask her for her age. One important clarification that the report makes is that all the female interviewees who claimed to have sex with Gaetz stated that it was consensual activity. The Trump supporter did not provide testimony before the House Ethics Committee as his subpoena had sought, but he did issue written responses.

Matt Gaetz denied the committee’s claims and dismissed any notion of criminal activity. He excused the payments as gifts to girlfriends and brought up the DOJ eschewing an investigation. However, the committee firmly believes that they have evidence showing his violation of House rules by illegally soliciting “prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, impermissible gifts, special favors or privileges, and obstruction of Congress.” U.S President-elect Donald Trump had nominated him to be Attorney General, but it’s clearly a good thing that he pulled out of his bid.

Luigi Mangione Pleads Not Guilty With Dozens Of Female Supporters Present For His Arraignment

Luigi Mangione pleaded not guilty to murder charges in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday during his arraignment in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. He rocked a maroon sweater, over a white shirt, with khaki pants, and orange shoes for the highly-publicized hearing in front of Judge Gregory Carro. ABC News reports that approximately two dozen women vied for public seats in the courtroom gallery.

Mangione’s attorney, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, argued that the viral nature of his case would make getting a fair trial difficult. “I am concerned about my client’s right to a fair trial. He is being prejudiced by these statements, and no safeguards are in place,” Friedman Agnifilo told Judge Carro on Monday. “He’s a young man being treated like a human ping-pong ball.” Mangione faces both state murder and terrorism charges.

Luigi Mangione Appears In Manhattan Criminal Court For Arraignment

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – DECEMBER 23: Luigi Mangione appears with his attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo for his arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court on December 23, 2024, in New York City. In particular, Angifilo took aim at the city’s staged perp walk which featured Mayor Eric Adams, who faces his own federal indictment on bribery and fraud charges. “It was the biggest perp walk I’ve ever seen. What was the New York City mayor even doing there? These staged perp walks are unconstitutional,” Agnifilo argued. “The mayor should know about due process, given his own problems. I think he was there to try to take away from those issues. He wanted to show symbolism. But my client is not a symbol.”

Mangione is currently residing at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, the same facility where Diddy is staying as he awaits trial in his case regarding charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. Mangione will next appear in court on February 21.

Funk Flex Proclaims Support For Tory Lanez And Says He’s Innocent In Megan Thee Stallion Case

Despite a conviction and multiple failed attempts to overturn it, people continue to debate Tory Lanez’s innocence or guilt in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. This is due to the Canadian artist’s persistent legal efforts to get out of prison and turn the case around, and due to multiple other developments around the propagation of this story. Lawsuits emerged claiming misinformation, Megan herself reflected on various elements surrounding it, and the hip-hop world continues to “pick sides,” even if it’s more based on what they believe rather than who they support. Funk Flex, for example, believes that Tory is innocent.

“Listen, you got to stop doing the ‘Free’ somebody, ‘Free’ people,” Funk Flex posited. “‘Cause they got to jail somehow. Come on, I wasn’t coming on Jay-Z. Leave Jay-Z alone. Tory Lanez, I do believe he’s innocent, yes. I mean, yes, I do, I do. It’s not what they’re saying it is.” While the DJ did not really elaborate on his thoughts, you probably know the arguments that Tory’s supporters latch onto. The “Twitch Tapes” artist, though, is focusing these days on dropping more music and making the most out of his time behind bars.

Funk Flex Thinks Tory Lanez Is Innocent

As for this post-conviction debacle surrounding Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, the latest update concerns the former’s proposed restraining order against the latter. Not only that, but Meg’s lawyers also connected Lanez to blogger Milagro Gramz, whom the Houston femcee sued for misinformation, emotional distress, and other issues. This is due to some payments that Gramz allegedly received from Tory’s camp, which seems to be the most compelling piece of evidence against them. Still, with no ruling at press time, it’s unclear whether this will be enough or if it’s fully corroborated.

Meanwhile, all this legal drama cannot stop Tory Lanez fans from enjoying his music, as “The Color Violet” hit a billion streams on Spotify with zero editorial playlisting support. But despite what Funk Flex and others believe, the courts’ evidence and rulings continue to uphold the original conviction. We’ll see whether any future developments change that or if he remains guilty.

Dame Dash Warns Jay-Z That White Media Has Turned On Him Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Dame Dash previously expressed his shock at not just the sexual assault allegations against Jay-Z, but at the fact that he responded to them at all. During a new interview with The Art Of Dialogue, he expanded on these feelings by positing that white media is now launching a lot of backlash Hov’s way for basically the first time ever. Dame compared this situation to allegations against himself, for which he didn’t receive the same level of criticism as Jay. Of course, the fame levels are different. He hopes that nothing abhorrent actually happened, but he suggested that this is first time that white media and big industry powers did not give the Roc Nation mogul “a pass.”

“Like, he can control Black media ’cause a lot of them either work or do business with him,” Dame Dash remarked about Jay-Z. “But, like, you know, Drink Champs can’t get him out of this one, and neither can Charlamagne. ‘Cause those are the guys that hold him down no matter what he does anyway. So he got to get to People magazine and Entertainment Tonight right now, ’cause they on his head. But the question is why. Like, why now?”

Dame Dash Speaks On Jay-Z’s Sexual Assault Allegations

Furthermore, Dame Dash said that Jay-Z could just treat the case as ridiculous, so he doesn’t understand why white media is supposedly bringing the hammer down so heavily. As for the Brooklyn rap icon’s statement on the matter, he thinks that he needs to be open, say his side of the story, and answer questions consistently rather than allow his attorney Alex Spiro to handle things. For example, Dame thought that Spiro’s assessment of Jay’s public relationship with Diddy would bring a lot of backlash, and it did.

Meanwhile, as Dame Dash and many others offer their takes on these scandals, Jay-Z and his accuser’s lawyer Tony Buzbee continue to engage in a war of words and legal accusations. The most recent development in this area is Buzbee’s response to Jay’s request to impose sanctions on the attorney for allegedly filing a false claim. But we still don’t have any tangible or important legal developments to talk about when it comes to this case’s future.

Gillie Bashes Police At His Boxing Event For Shooting Confusion That Led To Cancellation

Gillie Da Kid had to angrily kick everyone out of his boxing event this weekend due to an alleged shooting against police outside, but it turns out that this was a huge misunderstanding that made him all the more irate. “Shout out to everybody that supported us tonight,” Gillie began his video response to the matter. “Shout out to everybody that tuned into the pay-per-view. But I also want to say this, man. The Wilmington police is the worst f***ing police district in the f***ing country.” He claimed that he paid police and security $14,000, yet their captain had to ask him to control the crowd outside the venue that didn’t have tickets, who were apparently very rowdy.

Furthermore, Gillie Da Kid didn’t understand why this had to be his job, but he followed through anyway because the captain suggested that the police would have to use force as an alternative. “Five minutes later, y’all macing motherf***ers,” he ranted against the police. When Gillie heard that people were allegedly shooting at police outside, the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game cohost was shocked and kicked everybody out. But then, the police said that people were shouting at them, not shooting. “You made me kick all of these motherf***ers out the stands ’cause some n***as was outside shouting at the f***ing police?!” he asked indignantly.

Gillie Da Kid Addresses Boxing Event Shut-Down

This was a really rough situation for almost everyone involved, as the non-ticketed crowd and police cost a lot of people money, time, and peace. For Gillie Da Kid in particular, this situation might’ve hit home for him due to his condemnation of gun violence, but to hear that it was all a miscommunication afterwards was clearly a massive blow.

Hopefully he can avoid these types of situations in the future for his next events, as this is the last thing that he wants to promote or condone. Gillie Da Kid (or King, rather) has a brazen sense of humor, but you certainly do not want to be on the receiving end of one of his scathing rants. What should’ve been a great event seemingly fell victim to poor planning on behalf of security staff.

50 Cent Responds To People Calling Him A Diddy Hater Before Criminal Scandal

50 Cent recently hopped on the Flagrant podcast with Andrew Schulz to talk about his love for comedy and even make some jokes about Schulz’s Kendrick Lamar controversy. But those weren’t the only laughs they had about a massive rapper, as the comedian also commented on how Fif has hated on Diddy for years, well before his current legal scandal. The G-Unit mogul made some jokes about how people are complaining about things he alluded to, but he also downplayed any sort of deeper knowledge by making it clear that he’s just observant. Of course, he probably couldn’t have predicted how things turned out.

To be fair, 50 Cent is usually quick to jump down a lot of people’s throats, not just Diddy’s. Recently, he clapped back at a Louisiana senator who thinks that the city should “pump the brakes” on 50’s huge investments in Shreveport. “Sam Jenkins must not want things to turn around in Shreveport,” he captioned an Instagram post about the matter. “Who would not do a deal to wait for a imaginary deal to come? Or maybe he just lacks faith in me, what you think ?”

50 Cent Speaks On Being A Diddy Hater

So if you’re ever on 50 Cent’s bad side, he will make it incredibly clear. After all, he’s making a whole documentary about Diddy’s alleged misconduct. “It’s a difficult project because every day, there’s new accusations coming out, it’s new things that happened,” he told GMA3: What You Need To Know. “So, it’s become an octopus, with so many powers and so many things going on. […] No, [I didn’t expect this], not this bad. Not this much stuff. I don’t think anyone could have anticipated this many accusations and things that have taken place.”

Meanwhile, there are other longtime Diddy haters who will apparently support this 50 Cent documentary in many ways. For example, Al B. Sure recently claimed that the doc will reveal why he was in a coma, and hinted that Sean Combs had something to do with it. That’s an unfounded allegation, though, so take it with a grain of salt. It must be weird for one’s hater tendencies to become sad warnings.

Gillie Screams At Crowd To “Get The F**k Out” Of His Boxing Event After Alleged Police Shooting

Gille Da Kid recently hosted a boxing event that apparently ended in nasty fashion, as he ranted in livid fashion against a crowd after patrons allegedly shot at police outside of the venue. It’s unclear exactly what happened and what the context behind this scathing reaction is, but given his past remarks and philosophies, he was absolutely livid. “Please, turn that music off,” Gillie began. “Me and Wallo put on for the city, and this how you b***hes treat us? Y’all outside, f***ing ripped the door out, shot at the f***ing police and all that dumba** s**t. Get the f**k out! All of y’all, get the f**k out! That’s what type of f***ing respect you give us, all the s**t we do? Get the f**k up out this joint.”

Furthermore, Gillie probably feels particularly strongly about this type of alleged incident due to how he lost his son to gun violence. “Long Live Cheese [crying emoji]. Miss u kid #WeGotChase,” he captioned a post showing off a video billboard that he and his family put up in New York City to honor the one-year anniversary of YNG Cheese’s tragic loss.

Gillie Pops Off On Boxing Event Crowd After Alleged Police Shooting

We’ll see if Gillie Da Kid and Wallo address this boxing event altercation at any point in the near future, although the former certainly made his point and thoughts clear. But not every headline around him is as combative or as angry, as he recently traded jokes with Cam’ron via Instagram about an edited meme picture of him and R. Kelly. “[laughing emoji] Dam homie don’t do that I told u I was playing,” Gillie responded to Killa Cam. Also, Wallo had his own jokes to make about the situation in the comments section of the Dipset rapper’s original post.

Meanwhile, Gillie drew divisive reactions earlier this year thanks to his hot battle takes about Kendrick Lamar and Drake, so he’s used to addressing conflict and backlash. However, this boxing event situation seems like an entirely different beast, and we hope that no one got hurt if something really did go down. Still, maybe we will receive more clarification on it in the coming weeks.

Diddy’s Lawyer Issues Statement Following New Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Diddy has spent the last few months warding off sexual assault lawsuits from alleged victims. He has denied all of the allegations that have been leveled at him, and continued to do so on December 20. The Bad Boy mogul was sued over an alleged assault that took place in 2006. Diddy’s legal team has made it very clear that his client is innocent. Lawyer Marc Agnifilo issued a statement within hours of the lawsuit being made public. He believes Diddy is being unfairly targeted by the accuser.

The accuser in question, LaTroya Grayson, claims she won a radio contest to spend the day with Diddy. She claims that she was drugged and raped by the mogul during said day. Grayson added that she was 23 years old at the time the alleged assault took place. Diddy’s legal team does not believe Grayson’s account for a second, however. Agnifilo issued a collective statement asserting his client’s innocence. “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone or engaged in sex trafficking,” he stated. “Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs.”

Diddy’s legal team went on to posit that LaTroya Grayson’s allegations are “fiction,” much in the way that they have posed his other allegations. “Her allegations against him are pure fiction,” they explained. “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab.” Agnifilo then included an assertion they have tacked on to several of Diddy’s denial statements. “He has faith in the judicial process,” he added. “In which fact will be separated from opportunistic fabrications like these.”

Diddy has continued to make headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2024. The Bad Boy founder’s thin appearance became a talking point on December 18. Law & Crime Network claimed that he appeared significantly thinner in court. It was later determined to be a result of Diddy refusing prison meals on a regular basis. “Maybe being locked up in detention is starting to wear on him,” the outlet reported. “He appeared grayer a little bit, too.” Diddy’s trial is due to begin on May 5, 2025.

Diddy Sued Yet Again For Alleged Sexual Assault By Radio Contest Winner’s Sister

Diddy now faces yet another sexual assault lawsuit, this time from an Oklahoma woman named LaToya Grayson who sued him, Bad Boy, and other companies for an alleged drugging and sexual assault in 2006. However, it’s important to note first that the alleged victim does not have a recollection of the alleged assault in question. Still, Grayson also included pictures in her filing that lend credence to her narrative. Per the lawsuit, in 2006, the alleged victim’s sibling won a KJAMZ radio contest (a local Oklahoma station) that covered flights to New York City and hotel accommodations for them and a guest. Most importantly, they won two tickets to Sean Combs’ White Party.

Furthermore, the woman suing Diddy included pictures of the alleged White Party invite and her and her sibling’s Delta airline tickets for New York City in her lawsuit. The tickets were for an October 16 flight to NYC and an October 17 flight back to Tulsa. Also, Grayson included a picture of a Roger Smith Hotel bill, which is in Manhattan, allegedly paid for by Atlantic Records.

Diddy At An Inter Miami CF Game

Grayson alleges that she and her sibling went to Diddy’s party but were separated, with Grayson going in and her sibling staying out. During the shindig, the plaintiff claims that she took pictures with many celebrities, which she allegedly included in the lawsuit as well. But when Grayson began to feel sick after two drinks, she headed to the restroom. Then, she claims that she cannot remember the rest of the night at all and woke up in Saint Vincent’s Medical Center with no underwear, a ripped shirt, and almost none of the money she had.

With this in mind, Grayson cannot say for sure who allegedly sexually assaulted her, but she seeks to hold Diddy and other companies accountable for her experience nonetheless. Also, it’s important to point out that the lawsuit never indicates that she claimed to have spoken to or seen Sean Combs at the 2006 party. After flying back to Oklahoma, the plaintiff allegedly received a phone call from an anonymous woman who told her not to “waste her time” by legally going at a “celebrity.” Ariel Mitchell, Grayson’s attorney, indicated in the suit that she chose not to report anything at the time.
