XXXTentacion Lashes Out In Previously Unreleased Interrogation Footage

XXXTentacion left an indelible impression on the music world. He was an immensely talented artist who was also accused of and charged with heinous criminal acts. X’s death at the age of 20 meant that he’d never get a chance to make up for his mistakes, or serve the jail time that some fans felt he should have. The men who were convicted of murdering XXXTentacion are still in the process of appealing their ruling. DJ Akademiks, however, turned the clock back on May 1 by posting previously unseen footage of the rapper during an interrogation.

The interrogation took place in 2016. XXXTentacion was arrested for stabbing Dylan Turner aka Tablez. The rapper can seen sitting on the right side of an interrogation room, where he is handcuffed to a chair. The audio quality is low, as DJ Akademiks points out, but X’s rage doesn’t need much interpretation. “All we got right now,” the interrogating officer stated. “Is that you went in there and grabbed his knife.” X slammed his head against the wall in frustration, yelling over the officer’s words.

The officer continued to explain what he felt went down, but X struggled to articulate his side of the story. “What the f*ck,” he said. “How–.” The rapper cut himself off to bury his head in his hands. “F*ck this sh*t,” he added. “F*ck this sh*t.” The situation looks dire from the footage, but XXXTentacion was actually released shortly after this interrogation took place.

Tablez made a full recovery from his injury, and agreed to drop all charges against the rapper. He said he didn’t “want one bad choice to define who [XXXTentacion] was.” In return, the rapper paid for Tablez’s medical bills. He also apologized to Tablez over the stabbing. “Thank you for dropping the charges,” X later asserted. “As f*cked up as the situation is, I am forever in your debt.”

XXXTentacion and Tablez may have made up, but both artists died before their time. The former was shot and killed in 2018, and the latter died from a drug overdose in 2022. Tablez was the “manager” for both X and Ski Mask the Slump God early in their careers, in addition to being part of the Members Only collective.

DJ Akademiks Flabbergasted By Being Mentioned During Young Thug YSL Trial

Young Thug has been sorely missed by the entire rap community ever since he was arrested back in May 2022. He was brought in on a 56-count indictment that allegedly saw him head an Atlanta street gang that committed multiple serious crimes. Fans and peers alike are constantly wondering when he will be free, or what his fate will ultimately be. It seems we are far away from any decision as of now. Yak Gotti’s attorney filed a motion recently to shorten the prosecution’s witness list. Currently, the list is at a reported 400. One of those 400 could be DJ Akademiks, as his name was dropped in a recent YSL RICO trial.

There is no confirmation if he is even a suspected witness. But with names like LeBron James and Serena Williams being tossed around, DJ Akademiks has a good chance of being called in. The social media pundit has talked about this lengthy case extensively, so it was not too much of shocker to hear his name talked about. However, Akademiks was sure as hell confused as to why he was mentioned.

In fact, he clipped the portion of the livestream of the highly publicized trial where he was discussed. Wat dey talmbout in dis YSL trial mayne,” AK tweeted. At one point the judge questioned if “he or she” is coming to testify and according to the clip, he is not. Fans in the comments were having a field day with that. The judge also asked how the videos of DJ’s commentary on Thug would be brought up. However, the clip ended just before that explanation.

Lil Wayne Might Have To Testify In Young Thug’s YSL RICO Trial

Judge Ural Glanville denied Fulton County prosecutors’ attempt to introduce clips of Lil Wayne talking about Young Thug as evidence in the YSL RICO trial on Wednesday, explaining that they won’t be allowed unless the rapper testifies. The state previously removed Wayne from its lengthy witness list, last month.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love argued the video show an argument Wayne had with Thug before a 2015 shooting involving his tour bus. “It seems like you all are trying really hard not to call [Lil Wayne] and that’s your choice,” Glanville told Love, as noted by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Jozsef Papp. “If you don’t call him, my ruling will stand on these particular exhibits that you are trying to introduce.”

Wayne isn’t the only rapper the state has considered having testify during the trial. During the last update to the witness list, Birdman, Rich Homie Quan, and YFN Lucci all still remained as possible witnesses the state could call to the courthouse. Gunna is one artist who fans suspected the state would call after he took a plea deal in 2022, but he’s been adamant that he won’t speak against his YSL partner in the case. “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” he said at the time of his prison release.

Lil Tjay Reportedly Arrested In Miami: Details

Lil Tjay was supposed to have himself a good Tuesday, as it was his 23rd birthday. Overall, the artist was in Miami and was going to be hopping on a flight out of the city to go celebrate somewhere with his friends. Unfortunately, his celebration was cut short as the young artist was intercepted by Federal agents. According to The Shade Room, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers approached Tjay as he was boarding a flight at the Miami-Opa Locka airport.

Tjay was subsequently put in a nearby vehicle and driven away by authorities. As it stands, it would appear as though the artist is still in custody. For now, however, there are very little details pertaining to the arrest, and what is going to happen next. The Shade Room did publish a mugshot, but that is all we really have to go on right now. It was also noted that it seems like a warrant is what ultimately sparked the arrest.

Last year, Tjay was charged with “criminal possession of a weapon for an imitation pistol, reckless endangerment for displaying a prop gun, and obstructing governmental administration.” For now, it remains to be seen if this arrest has anything to do with that. Benzino Says R Kelly Deserves A Second Chance, He Shouldn’t “Rot In Jail”

Benzino discussed R Kelly during a recent appearance on the We In Miami Podcast and argued that the disgraced singer deserves a second chance at freedom. Kelly is currently serving 31 years in prison after being convicted of multiple charges of federal racketeering and sex trafficking involving sexual abuse of minors.

“Everyone deserves a second chance. I know that [Elvis Presley], a lot of motherf—-s was f—g with young girls,” Benzino said, as caught by Hollywood Unlocked. From there, he clarified: “I’m not into that. Again. The legal age is 16. So does that make it right if a n—a does it?” When the room responded “no,” he added: “But it’s legal in America. So why is R. Kelly doing all this time? Because you know why? They’re 13, 14, two years younger.” Once again, he reiterated: “I’m not condoning n—s f——g little girls. It’s sick. But I don’t think R Kelly should rot in jail for 30 years either.”

When the We In Miami Podcast shared the clip on Instagram, fans had mixed responses in the comments section. Many disagreed with Benzino with one remarking: “He met Aaliyah when she was just 12 and married her at 14, nah keep him in there.” Others took his side in the argument. “He’s got a point, why didn’t Elvis get in trouble for moving in that 14 yr old and then marrying her at 16? Nobody cared, but when a black man does it he gets life?” one user asked.

Earlier this week, video made the rounds online of one of her shows ending in an absolute brawl. The context added to the clip even more as a man can be seen clearly smacking Stunna on the butt while she’s performing, which starts the confrontation.

Since then the man has claimed that he has a viable assault case, something that Stunna Girl took to Instagram Live to shut down. “I’m not a snitch so in reality I really could have him in jail right now for sexual assault but I ain’t even put bruh in jail. Not only that – he went on the internet, he DM’d me like 50 times popping it like, ‘Yes b*tch, I did this, I did that.’ He posted it, he posted captions acting hard, saying what he did, saying what he don’t do. Like, you can’t be a gangsta pervert rat,” she begins. “So my lawyer is like, they not even finna pick that sh*t up, bro. I got the upper hand in everything. Cesar Pina Reportedly Attempting To Secure Plea Deal In Fraud Case

Cesar Pina became a household name in the hip-hop world a few months back due to is association with DJ Envy. Overall, Pina had been arrested on fraud charges pertaining to an alleged real estate scheme. This subsequently led to side-eye glances at Envy who was promoting Pina as a real estate investor that he was working with. Eventually, Envy noted that he had no idea of Pina’s alleged scams and that he was a victim in all of this. Although fans crafted their own narratives, Envy has not been arrested, nor is he at risk right now.

As for Pina, according to AllHipHop, the negotiations for a plea deal have officially begun. It was reported back in January that Pina was looking for a plea deal. However, the most recent update is that the judge in the case has granted more time. This was laid out in a new court order that was obtained by AllHipHop. At the time of writing this, Pina faces 20 years in prison if found guilty. However, with a plea deal, he would be getting a lot less time. Only time will tell how it all goes down.

A shooting outside of The Weeknd’s manager’s home has left one person in critical condition, according to ABC7. The Encino, Los Angeles home of Amir Esmailian, also known as Cash XO, who Drake infamously name-dropped on “Push Ups,” was reportedly the target of a rumored home invasion on Monday morning. Unfortunately, a security guard was shot outside of the mansion and is currently in critical condition. Below, we’ve broken down everything we know about the incident so far.

Shooting At Cash XO’s Home

According to the LA Times, Shortly before 2:30 a.m., the tranquility of Jayden Lane in Encino was shattered by the eruption of gunfire, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Initial reports suggested a shooting at Esmailian’s residence, setting off a flurry of activity as officers rushed to the scene. The victim of the shooting is a 37-year-old security guard stationed outside the residence of Cash XO.

The Alleged Suspects

According to law enforcement sources, the wounded guard, in his mid-to-late-30s, provided crucial information to authorities amidst the chaos. Describing his assailants as individuals clad in hoodies and surgical masks, the guard recounted their swift escape on foot following the barrage of bullets. Multiple witnesses corroborated the account, reporting the sound of gunshots ringing through the night.

Paramedics swiftly intervened, transporting the injured guard to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Thanks to prompt medical intervention, the guard is expected to pull through, despite sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. His heroic actions in alerting emergency services potentially thwarted a more dire outcome.

Some of the immediate speculations online attempted to link Drake’s recent diss track toward The Weeknd to the shooting. This is a common move these days, however, you can’t blame Suki for wanting to capitalize on what is mostly a negative situation.

That said, it does seem as though the chatter surrounding this arrest is starting to upset her. With the allegations in place, some are speculating that she is some sort of drug trafficker. Moreover, some have tried to say that she was taking the fall for a man she is dealing with. This subsequently led to a passionate rant over on Instagram Live, where she said that she is not, a drug dealer, despite what some people are trying to say.

Young Thug is currently going through a massive legal battle that could have huge implications for hip-hop as a genre. Overall, Thugger is battling RICO charges in the state of Georgia. Throughout the trial, the State has tried to use lyrics and music video imagery as part of the case. Furthermore, the proceedings themselves have been a huge mess. There has been very little consistency as it pertains to how much progress is made in court on a daily basis. Some believe the trial could extend into 2027, which feels absurd, and quite frankly inhumane.

Despite all of this, Young Thug has managed to maintain a positive outlook in court. Whenever he is in the courtroom, he keeps a smile on his face. Although there are times when he is more stoic, it is simply to keep his family even-keeled as the whole case has been an emotional rollercoaster. On Monday, Thugger was back in court, and he seemed to be in good spirits, again. In the photo below, you can see that he even gave his lawyer a nice fist bump prior to the proceedings.
