Cordae And Naomi Osaka’s Adorable Baby Shower Photos Reveal The Pair Has ‘A Little Princess’ On The Way

Cordae has very few regrets in his professional and personal pursuits. His decision to remain tight-lipped about his partner, tennis star Naomi Osaka’s pregnancy, has left fans confused. However, they’ve remained excited to see what this next chapter of the “RNP” rapper’s life would bring.

Now, as Osaka shared adorable photos from their joint baby shower, the entertainer broke his silence with just a short response. In the gallery of images shared to social media, Burberry-rocking Cordae caresses Osaka’s baby bump. Thanks to the background of the flicks, fans now know that the couple is expecting ‘a little princess.’

The rapper re-posted the gallery to his Instagram Story, adding, “#GirlDad.”

Fans of the couple chimed in on social media to wish them well. One user wrote, “She looks amazing. Speaking health and blessings over her and her family.”

However, Cordae’s attire is what garnered the most attention after the images were posted to social media. Following in the unspoken Black tradition of the father-to-be sporting a Burberry button-down to commemorate the joyous occasion, Cordae was sure not to let the tradition die out.

“They got them meatballs? And with the Burberry shirt! A baby is definitely coming [crying laughing emoji],” wrote one user.

Another tweeted, “Lol Cordae with the Burberry on. The culture is undefeated [raised fist emoji] [crying laughing emoji.].”

“And, of course, he has the go-to shirt all guys wear to baby showers now, Burberry… gotta love it,” remarked another.

Cordae & Naomi Osaka: Their Love Story

Cordae and Naomi Osaka are a true power couple—a match made in Hip Hop and sports heaven. As their relationship blossoms in the limelight, we witness the lives of two stars at the pinnacle of their fields. Although their romance surprised their fans, these days, the pair of superstars are deemed “Couple Goals.” They’ve been relatively clandestine with their relationship, but ever so often, Cordae and Naomi offer a rare glimpse into their long-lasting love story.

We’re looking back at the development of this pairing, from their early days conquering the charts and tennis courts to the serendipitous moment that brought them together. We’ll also delve into their tireless support for each other’s careers and the exciting news that they are expecting their first child together. Read on to learn more about the couple that is taking over.

Climbing To The Top

Cordae quickly made a name for himself in Hip Hop with his crew’s debut mixtape, YBN: The Mixtape, released in 2018. He stood out within YBN, hosting members YBN Nahmir and YBN Almighty Jay. It didn’t take long for Cordae to reimagine his career, resulting in him leaving his YBN moniker behind. However, he maintained that his relationships with his friends were solid. It was a lucrative move, as his 2019 debut studio album, The Lost Boy, earned Cordae two Grammy Award nominations.

Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka’s meteoric rise in the world of tennis began in 2013 when the then-teen turned pro. She quickly gained a reputation for her powerful serve, determination, and skills, outlasting her icons on the court. With her first Grand Slam title at the 2018 US Open and multiple championships since then, including the Australian Open and the US Open again in 2020, Osaka has cemented her status as a tennis powerhouse. In 2021, after an emotional battle, she defeated Serena Williams in the United States Open Finals.

When Stars Align: How Cordae & Naomi Met

When the world learned of Noami and Cordae’s relationship, the rapper revealed they had been dating for some time. They needed to maintain some privacy—and a sense of normalcy—so they kept the romance to themselves. Despite their busy schedules and career demands, the couple managed to stay in touch and nurture their budding romance.

You can often see them at one another’s events. Cordae has been photographed in the stands as he watched Osaka take home one trophy after another. She returns the favor, supporting his live shows and tours. In a 2020 interview with GQ, Cordae gushed about his admiration for his girlfriend. He said, “I can’t really be with someone who doesn’t have any substance or doesn’t act or think on the same frequency and wavelength as I do.”

A New Chapter: Baby On Board!

Fans of the power couple were thrilled when Cordae and Naomi announced they were expecting their first child together. The news broke on social media, with the couple sharing a photo of a sonogram to make their big announcement. Their excitement and love for each other were palpable as they shared their journey towards parenthood. Again, this is a couple that doesn’t flaunt what goes on behind the scenes. However, Naomi recently shared a few photos with her growing baby bum pon display. It’s unclear when the baby’s arrival will be, but the couple’s supporters can’t wait to deliver more well wishes.

Cordae and Naomi Osaka’s love story shows two stars at the top of their respective fields, brought together by fate, and united by their shared passion for excellence.

Cordae’s Best Collaborations, From Eminem To Lil Wayne

Cordae’s collaborations have gotten more significant as his career has progressed. After leaving the YBN collective, he dropped the abbreviation from his name. He fully embraced a more soulful sound in his production, and his lyrics were down-to-earth and vulnerable. However, he still put out some fun bangers, too. Cordae’s music is centered on him embracing the internal feelings he’s had through interactions with his family, significant others, and people in the music world.

The theme of self-confidence is a consistent topic, too. Cordae has only put out two projects in recent years, with his solo debut being well-received by listeners. However, his sophomore effort was a little more divisive. Still, Cordae’s authentic personality has allowed him to work with some notable acts in music. We’ve gathered seven of his biggest collaborations.

“Champagne Glasses” feat. Freddie Gibbs & Stevie Wonder (2022)

This is a Cordae collaboration that was unexpected in every way. Stevie Wonder is not a name people typically think of in the rap world, but many artists have sampled him. Cordae and Freddie Gibbs are not only distant in age but also in most of their subject matter in music. But, when talent comes together, it often produces well-received results.

The production from Kid Culture combines reflectiveness with elegance. Cordae talks about maintaining a positive, celebratory attitude on the outside when he has more going on internally. Gibb’s verse touches on a myriad of topics, and his signature voice and delivery help them all flow together. Stevie’s appearance comes after a beat switch where he showcases his harmonica proficiency. There are no vocals from him on the song. It’s almost as if his instrumental outro offers listeners a moment to reflect on what they just heard.

“What’s Life” With Common (2021)

This collaboration is with a legendary artist in the lane Cordae makes his music in. Common is known for bringing soulful, vulnerable, and open feelings to the rap world. Being Cordae is part of the current generation doing this, it’s only right the two of them worked together. Their collaboration is a special one because it was done for Liberated/Music for the Movement Vol. 3. Cordae’s verse has him evaluating the things in life that keep him moving forward, which is reinforced by the song’s hook.

The gentle and jazzy production gives him plenty of room for this as his delivery gives a listener a feeling of hearing his internal thoughts. Common’s verse has a similar feeling and, considering his life experience views the same situation from a different perspective. This is another cross-generational collab that validates the new and old school have respect for each other.

“More Life” feat. Q-Tip (2021)

This is another collaboration with a legendary artist Cordae has already secured in his young career. This track comes from Cordae’s EP Just Until…, which held listeners until he dropped his sophomore album, From A Bird’s Eye View. Q-Tip provides a brief hook on this one and also has production credits. His distinct and smooth voice is an excellent pair for Cordae’s reflective verses as he discusses his internal feelings and how he navigates his career. This is the type of song most people associate with Cordae because it is filled with his honest feelings while still having a good bounce in the production. There’s a relatability factor running through it, too, which pulls in many of his listeners. The song’s sentiment and the music video go hand in hand with this one as Cordae visits his old middle school and college in it.

“Nightmares Are Real” feat. Pusha T (2019)

This is a Cordae collaboration from his debut album, The Lost Boy. While many debate whether the area of Virginia Pusha T calls home is part of the “DMV,” this track still brings two regional artists together. The track has a certain mysterious atmosphere, which is capitalized on by the song’s music video. Cordae crafts a verse that details his experiences in the past, and Pusha does, too.

The contrast comes in how they had different upbringings, but the common thread is they once struggled. They’ve since elevated and can look back on how it made them who they are in the present. Cordae sings on the hook, which is not uncommon for him. He even adds some background vocalizations to this hook, adding another melody to the song. Many listeners praised Pusha’s short but impactful feature.

“Parables (Remix)” feat. Eminem (2022)

This is a collaboration Cordae did with one of the biggest rap artists of all time. The song’s hook alludes to some situations from Cordae’s past, but his verses show how he found a new perspective through these situations. Cordae’s aggressive delivery throughout his verses indicates his passion for sharing his truth.

Interestingly enough, Em’s verse begins at almost the exact halfway point of the song. His verse has multiple flow switches; naturally, a few showcase his rapid-fire delivery skills. He also weaves in his version of the song’s hook and swaps in references to his own past. Cordae getting a feature from a legend like Eminem shows that Em believes in him and his talent. It also branches generations and can bring their separate audiences together—although there was likely already some overlap between them.

“Sinister” feat. Lil Wayne (2021)

Despite the song’s name from this Cordae collaboration, the song isn’t “dark” at all. In fact, it’s quite the opposite as the duo rap over a smooth ’90s-esque boom-bap beat. Lil Wayne is an artist that has done many features over the years, and he often adapts well to whoever he is featuring with. In the case of Cordae, he brings the same light yet confident delivery style Cordae does.

Cordae’s hook creatively references the producer of this track, frequent collaborator Hit-Boy. Wayne joins him on the hook in the song’s closing moments. Before this, he drops an easy-going verse despite the punchlines he packs in. The song’s closing moments find Cordae dropping some final bars that aren’t quite a bridge but aren’t quite an entire verse, either. They just ensure he closes the song impactfully in his own way.

“Two Tens” feat. Anderson .Paak (2023)

While “RNP” was the first collaboration between Cordae and Anderson .Paak, this song wouldn’t have happened without that one. These tracks showcase a very high level of chemistry between the two artists. In fact, because of this latest collab, many listeners want a complete collaboration project from the duo. On this track, Cordae and Anderson .Paak trade bars throughout the song’s verses. There’s a certain lighthearted playfulness to their flows as they contrast each other’s opinions. This is how there’s even a touch of humor in the song, too.

The minimalistic production gives their flows a chance to provide the song with its bounce. J.Cole has production credits on this one, which surprised listeners of all three artists. With this being Cordae’s most recent collab, listeners are wondering if any others are coming soon. What’s your favorite collab Cordae has done? Let us know in the comments section.

Cordae Doesn’t Regret Turning Down This Major Pop Hit, He Explained

Cordae is having a big year. The 25-year-old rapper recently shared that his brand and record label Hi Level is collaborating with Puma. Meanwhile, he took part in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game last month alongside big names like 21 Savage, Janelle Monáe, and more. Not to mention, he’s expecting his first child with Naomi Osaka.

However, no matter how much his success grows, he’s emphatic on his devotion to staying authentic. On a recent episode of Uninterrupted’s The Shop, he discussed a time when he turned down something major for the sake of staying true to himself.

He declined recording on Maroon 5’s hit single “Memories.”

“I thought about, like, is it too early in my career to do a pop record this big, if that makes sense,” he said. “I say no to 95% of things now because I just try to make everything on brand to who I am as a human being. I know it sounds cliche, but I can’t ever lose that foundation because then I’ll lose the people.”

He added confidently, “I have no regrets whatsoever, but I just wonder what would be different if I did do that.”

Cordae Speaks On Turning Down What Eventually Became A Smash Pop Hit

Would you turn down a song that could become huge hit early in your career? it turns out that’s exactly what Cordae did. The rapper, who hails from North Carolina, is no stranger to hit records himself. His debut album, The Lost Boy, was released to critical acclaim. It even earned him two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song. Several months after the release of his first album, he was approached about appearing on a pop song.

It’s not often that artists have the luxury of turning down a potential hit, but Cordae says he turns down “95% of everything” that he’s asked to record on. In fact, the rapper said that his label already knows that will go nowhere with him. That was not originally the case, however. According to Cordae, he was initially planning to record something for the song. In the end, he changed his mind. So what exactly happened?

Too Soon For Success?

In an interview with Uninterrupted’s “The Shop”, Cordae commented on the decision to turn down what could have been a huge hit for him. “I thought about like, is it too early in my career to do a pop record this big, if that makes sense.” The pop record in question? It was Maroon 5‘s hit single “Memories“. The song peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Top 100, which means that Cordae would have had a top 3 hit under his belt. Still, he says he doesn’t regret it. Instead, he would rather focus on things that feel authentic to him. “I know it sounds cliche,” Cordae said, “but I can’t ever lose that foundation because then I’ll lose the people.”

Cordae has found quite a bit of success in music, even without featuring on a Maroon 5 song. Last year, he released From A Bird’s Eye View, his second full-length album, which featured legends like Eminem and Stevie Wonder. Staying authentic seems to be working for him, and he’s still confident he made the right choice. “I have no regrets whatsoever but I just wonder what would be different if I did do that,” he said. Do you think Cordae made the right decision? Let us know in the comments.

Naomi Osaka Shows Off Baby Bump In New Photos

Naomi Osaka is one of the biggest tennis players in the entire world. Overall, she is a champion in the women’s circuit and has even defeated legends like Serena Williams. Although, in the last couple of years, Osaka has struggled to maintain consistency. That said, tennis is probably the last thing on Osaka’s mind as she is currently pregnant. This will be her and Cordae’s very first child, and there is no denying that they are both excited about this new bundle of joy.

For the most part, Osaka has stayed out of the public eye over the last few months. Naomi Osaka announced her pregnancy in January, and since then, we haven’t heard too much from her. Recently, however, that changed as the tennis superstar took to Instagram with some images from a trip to Japan. In the photos below, you can see Osaka’s baby bump. Clearly, she has no issues with showing it off now as she continues to get farther along in her pregnancy.

Naomi Osaka Reveals Pregnancy Progress

“The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find that its the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun. These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to,” Osaka wrote at the time of her initial announcement. “I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future. One thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha.”

Pregnancy is certainly no easy task, however, Osaka seems to be doing well for herself right now. Hopefully, this proves to be a relaxing time for the tennis star, especially as it pertains to the anxieties surrounding her career. It seemed like tennis wasn’t fun for her in the months leading up to her pregnancy. That said, having a child could very well give Naomi a whole new lease on life, and tennis.
