Now, he is collaborating with another lyrical talent, Rapsody.

Even though one of the greatest rappers has not been dropping too much since her 2019 record, Eve, she is still at the top of her game. The beat includes some piano keys, laser shots, and a boom-bap vibe. Rapsody announced this track in a clever way last night (October 29) on her Instagram. Larry June and Minnesota-born producer Cardo Got Wingz are a perfect pairing. They have proven that time and time again over the past few years. Their work relationship dates back to 2020 with Cruise Usa. It was a short eight-track project that gave us our first look at what this duo could produce in the future. June and Cardo noticed what they could accomplish together, so they wasted little to no time.

In 2021 they put out their second LP, Into The Late Night. From there these two established a reputation for crafting effortless after-hours cruising cuts. Now, since August of this year, June and Cardo have been getting ready for their third helping of cuts. The first of which was “The Good Kind.” It has the ultimate feeling of summer and driving around town with all of the windows and sunroof open.

Armani White And TroyBoi Finally Have A Track Together With “Shut S*** Down”

TroyBoi has been one of the best producers over the past decade or so. He is not your traditional hip-hop beatmaker though. If you have kept up with his career, Troy’s production style is more bouncy and includes lots of plucky and almost “cute” instrumentation as well. He is also famous for his knack for creating fun remixes to artist’s tracks. The UK native has worked alongside some big names throughout his tenure and he now adds a budding star to the list. He grabs Armani White for his lead single, “Shut S*** Down.”

This track will appear on an upcoming EP in December. It may be the title track seeing as the tour he is going on has the same name. That kicks off on November and will wrap up on December 16. In an article from PressParty, Troy recalls how he connected with the Philly rapper several years ago. “I was first introduced to Armani back in 2015 when I heard a remix he did of my track ‘Do You?.’ I was so impressed with his flow and delivery. We connected soon after that and became a fan of his work ever since.

He then details how this track came to be. Troy says, “When I made the beat for ‘Shut S*** Down’ I knew it needed someone on it with a charismatic energy and a crazy flow. Just last weekend, the veteran put out his second album of the year with Jim Jones Presents Byrdgang 2.0. What was interesting about this release was that it was another collaborative record of sorts. While his previous effort Back In My Prime was like that too, his latest one puts on tons of underground talent. Some of the most frequent names included Dyce Payso and Keen Streetz. Those two lyricists join Jones once again with a new freestyle.

Currently, it is only available on YouTube. The title of the song may sound familiar to you and you would be right in that assumption. That is because this is a remix of sorts of Meek Mill’s and Rick Ross’ recent collaborative track. Unlike the two MMG artists, this version of “SHAQ & KOBE” does not seem like it will appear on any upcoming record.

Bas Drops Reflective Track “Khartoum” With Adekunle Gold

Paris-born and New York-raised rapper and singer Bas has not come out with a new album since 2018. However, that time appears to be coming to a close fairly soon. If you check out his Genius page, his forthcoming record looks to be due by December 31 of this year. The title of the project is also interesting.

It is a fitting title as most people do not care or are unaware of the hardships and other catastrophes taking place every day. Bas has already given us three singles from this tape, including the summery track “Passport Bros” with Dreamville labelmate, J. Cole. This new one though refers to the civil war going on in Sudan and its capital, “Khartoum.”

Genius says that Stereo Miracle is due in 2024, which would make it five years in between releases. Zacari has already begun the rollout for the album. That project dropped a few months ago -July to be exact- and now he is beginning to release new material. This is the first time he is working with another New York native, Kyle Richh. It is a little surprising this is the lone collaboration we have from them considering both have similar styles.

Nonetheless, we have a chance now to see how the two mesh. How do they do in that department? We would say both Tjay and Richh sound like they belong on more songs together. Richh’s deeper voices contrasts well with Tjay’s higher pitch.

The themes in this song are ones of betrayal and loneliness. Both perform over a drill beat which both are no strangers to. Lil Tjay refers back to the time he was shot at.
