Zacari Wants To Stick By His Woman’s Side On “Ocean”

Right at the start of 2024, we had a feeling that this year would be a much busier year for hip-hop/R&B music. 2023 had its fair share of highlights for sure. However, the hype was not always there, and many were banking on the mainstream to pull through. That was not the case, but things are looking better than ever for the genre. TDE is contributing heavily to the excitement, and so is Zacari.

The Bakersfield, California singer has been teasing his sophomore LP, Stereo Miracle, for nearly one year to the day. “Motions” got things in motion (pun intended) on February 10. Then, Zacari would go on to collaborate with fellow R&B singer Ty Dolla $ign for “Ave Maria” back in October. Both singles are shaping this next album to be a solid one for Zacari.

Listen To “Ocean” By Zacari

On the Genius page, the tracklist is also seemingly revealed for all to see. However, sometimes things change and they are not always accurate. Which is why “Ocean,” Zacari’s latest single, could still make the cut. The sound of the track sounds like it would fit right at home on this next LP. It has a laid-back feel with him penning a song about wanting his energy to stay with the woman he is seeing. Sort of like how the waves from the ocean crash onto the coast. He wants to keep coming back for more.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Ocean,” by Zachary? Is this the best song from the Stereo Miracle rollout? Will this be the best TDE album of 2024, why or why not? Who do you want to see on the album and why? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Quotable Lyrics:

You’re so vibrant (You’re so vibrant)
Baby, you’re so vibrant, so fly and so righteous (So fly just so fly)
You the brightest star in my night, keep the sky lit (Sky lit)
Crazy all the time, it’s divine
Hope that time can’t divide us (Divide us)
‘Cause every time you stay the night, I

Zacari And Ty Dolla $ign Are Fantastic Together On “Ave Maria”

Bakersfield, California singer and artist Zacari is one of the many talented names on the TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) label. However, he is not one of the household names just yet. He only has one project to his name so far. Run Wild Run Free came out in 2019 and it was a total solo effort. Things will be different very soon as the 27-year-old will be dropping his second project.

Genius says that Stereo Miracle is due in 2024, which would make it five years in between releases. Zacari has already begun the rollout for the album. This dates back to the lead single coming out in February, “Motions.” It features another TDE member, Ab-Soul. Now, we finally have another taste of Zacari’s next tape with “Ave Maria.”

Listen To “Ave Maria” From Zacari And Ty Dolla $ign

This cut features the incredible vocal work from Ty Dolla $ign. The is beat bouncy and heavenly at the same time. Zacari’s voice is also a standout feature with some nice autotuned bits sprinkled in. Hopefully, we get some updates soon about the official release date for the LP because these two singles have been impressive.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Zacari and Ty Dolla $ign, “Ave Maria?” Is this the best single he has put out for his upcoming album, Stereo Miracle? Who had the better performance on the track? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Put her through some misery and agony, insanity, no battery
My pictures on her vanity, I’m really him, reality
So naturally, I flatter me
Got a gang, gang, gang mentality

Zacari Pines For A Past Paramour In His Poised ‘Touch Of God’ Performance For ‘UPROXX Sessions’

Top Dawg Entertainment crooner Zacari had a pretty productive 2022, contributing to “Do Better” and “Motions” from labelmate Ab-Soul’s album in addition to dropping his own new single, “Restless,” toward the end of the year. He followed that up with the release of the moody “Touch Of God” in May, and this week, he stops by Uproxx Studios to deliver a poised performance of the haunting single for UPROXX Sessions. “Your love to me is the touch of God,” he sings over the cavernous beat, reflecting on a love who moved on and left him longing for meaning.

Fans have been speculating about a potential new Zacari album since last July, when he released the video for “Bliss” featuring Isaiah Rashad, and while he hasn’t made any official announcements yet, with “Restless” and “Touch Of God” coming just six months apart (which is impressive for an indie artist such as Zacari, especially considering TDE’s patient — and sometimes chaotic — rollout schedules), there’s a good chance he’s got the follow-up to 2019’s Run Wild Run Free cooking. And given that last year saw plenty of TDE’s roster get long-awaited releases, clearing the future schedule for mainstays like Schoolboy Q and newbies like Ray Vaughn and Reason, there’s plenty of reason to hope some new Zacari music is on the way as well.

Watch Zacari’s UPROXX Sessions performance above.

UPROXX Sessions is Uproxx’s performance show featuring the hottest up-and-coming acts you should keep an eye on. Featuring creative direction from LA promotion collective, Ham On Everything, and taking place on our “bathroom” set designed and painted by Julian Gross, UPROXX Sessions is a showcase of some of our favorite performers, who just might soon be yours, too.

Zacari Brings A “Touch of God” To Our Weekly “R&B Season” Playlist Update

Just when you think our R&B Season playlist can’t get any hotter, another round of New Music Friday releases comes through blazing to light things up. Today (May 28) we have mostly collaborative efforts, though there is one solo offering that caught our eye. It comes from Zacari, and is called “Touch of God,” which is exactly what listening to the short and sweet title feels like. It marks the second drop of the year for the Top Dawg Entertainment artist, who previously linked up with Ab-Soul on “Motions” back in February.

From Rory’s I Thought It’d Be Different album we’ve picked two titles. The first, “Refill,” finds him connecting with Chiiild and Aáyanna. The second, “My Phone Can Die,” landed as a single ahead of the 13-track project, and features both Ari Lennox and James Fauntleroy. Other artists who appear on various songs include Emotional Oranges, THEY., Conway the Machine, GoldLink, REASON, and dvsn, among several others.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist

Lauren Jauregui proved that it’s not impossible to work with your ex this weekend, reconnecting with her former lover, Ty Dolla $ign on “Wolves.” The emotional song also includes bars from Russ, and is the sole collaborative effort on the former Fifth Harmony starlet’s new In Between EP. Our final pick of the week comes from Nonso Amadi and BEAM, the latter likely still riding the high of linking up with Beyoncé last summer for “ENERGY” from her RENAISSANCE album.

His latest joint effort is called “Killmanjaro,” and it appears on Amadi’s When It Blooms project that also landed on Friday. Further down on today’s round-up, you’ll find more must-listen May drops from names like Summer Walker, NxWorries, Jorja Smith, Janelle Monáe, and Omarion. Zacari And Ab-Soul Go Through The ‘Motions’ On Their New Single

Zacari and Ab-Soul have another gem on their hands. On their new collaborative single, “Motions,” both artists walk us through a day in their lives, as they deal with industry protocol, adjusting to fame, and navigating friendships and relationships.

“I’m just goin’ through the motions / Liftin’ off the ground / Driftin’ like the cloud / I’m just goin’ through the motions,” the two sing on the song’s chorus.

“Motions” marks the Top Dawg Entertainment labelmates’ third total collab. Last year, the two worked together on “Do Better” from Ab-Soul’s fifth studio album, Herbert, and have previously collaborated on “RAW (Backwards)” from his 2016 album, Do What Thou Wilt.

Zacari has appeared on several TDE collaborations over the years, alongside artists like Isaiah Rashad and Kendrick Lamar. He officially signed to the label in 2019, and released his debut EP Run Wild Run Free later that year.

Last year, he also collaborated on tracks with Blxst and MIA.

Though he hasn’t released a full-length album of his own yet, fans of Zacari can expect to hear it in the near future.

Last year, he revealed in an Instagram post that he plans to drop his full-length debut in 2023.

In the meantime, you can listen to “Motions” above.
