OT7 Quanny & YTB Fatt’s Similar Styles Unite For “I Did It”

OT7 Quanny and YTB Fatt have quite a bit in common if you were not aware. Each rapper hails from the Eastern part of the U.S., with OT hailing from Philadelphia and YTB out of Memphis. Furthermore, each artist has not been in the industry for that long. Additionally, their styles are almost identical. Both love to bring high-energy trap bangers with a bit of character to boot.

Which is why this collaboration between them makes so much sense. For the first time, OT7 Quanny and YTB Fatt are working together to deliver us “I Did It.” Topically, this track fits right in their wheelhouses. It is all about boasting their success in the rap game and how they were able to do it themselves.

As for the instrumental, both fit in right at home over the thumping bass and eerie piano keys. With both artists being on the rise and sharing a lot of qualities, we can see both of them being compared to each other. It will be great to see these two compete and we all love to see that spirit in the genre. Be sure to check out “I Did It” and its music video above.

Twoaym Continues To Impress On “Clyde” With Tyson Sybateli

A few weeks ago, we discovered a new artist who goes by Twoaym. She hails from Ohio’s state capital of Columbus and has been releasing tracks since 2020. It all started with “Koolin’,” a laid-back trap-flavored cut, featuring some singing reverbed singing chops. That would go on to be the lead single for her debut album Unsolicited, which dropped in February of 2021. However, she would go on to take quite a gap in between releasing music. She would return in 2023 with “Never Gan,” a mean-mugging banger with entrancing string sections.

But Twoaym would then take several months in between that and “Kush Mints.” This was the track that caught our attention, and it has been on repeat for us. It sees her effortlessly glide over a woozy instrumental with a buttery smooth and speedy delivery. One the track, Twoaym is rapping from a position of power, making sure the competition knows who is looking to take the throne. In fact, she mentioned how this approach is going to be all over her upcoming EP The Story of Makaveli.

Listen To “Clyde” By Twoaym & Tyson Sybateli

She discussed it in a recent interview with Matter saying, “If you listen to the songs, most of them have this aggression. And for me, it’s about having my enemies fear me, and knowing it’s better to be feared than loved.” That similar energy is on her latest single “Clyde,” which features South African rapper Tyson Sybateli. Production wise, the tone is much darker and more intimidating and both performers bring relentless flows. “N**** we out here,” Twoaym repeats on the chorus. She is certainly chomping at the bit to get this tape out and we can hear the hunger in her voice on this new single.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Clyde,” by Twoaym and Tyson Sybateli? Is this the best track she has dropped as of late, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the track and why? Do you think she has a new album in the works for 2024? Are you going to check out more of her material going forward? Millyz & Meek Mill Are “Soul Survivors” On Their First Collaboration

Cambridge, Massachusetts rapper Millyz is here to deliver a new single with Meek Mill called “Soul Survivor.” The seven-year veteran continues to prove he has the technical abilities that deserve similar respect to those with more popularity. On this fresh cut, Millyz is talking about making it through tough situations and being able to protect himself during the process. He also asks for forgiveness from the man upstairs for the mistakes he has made in his past as well.

Overall, it is an inspirational and personal cut from Millyz and it deserves its praise. Meek Mill is also on this cut and it is the first time he has worked with him. Their styles match up pretty well, especially considering some of the tracks that Meek puts out. His portion is kind of short and it feels like he was on “Soul Survivor” to bring some chatter and not much else.

Blxst Effortlessly Switches Over To Latin Music With Feid-Assisted “Rewind”

Blxst, a veteran singer from California, has proven to be an extremely talented and versatile artist. That Swiss Army knife capability is why he has been able to work with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Russ, Kalan.FrFr, Mozzy, Tyga, and more. His smooth and unique delivery also helps him stand out a bit more from the rest of the R&B pack. Today, Blxst is proving he is capable to go the world of Latin music with “Rewind” featuring Feid.

This is now his second single of the year, with the emotional “Heart Ain’t Empty” being the first. While this is something new for Blxst, you would not be able to tell. Again, that do-it-all voice can really go into any genre and feel natural. Even though Feid is singing in Spanish, they trade lines smoothly.

The track definitely has a late summer night vibe with its moodier beat accompanied by some guitar sections. The visualizer also gives you a clear indicator for the vibe Blxst and Feid were going for and they capitalized on that. Furthermore, the hook and the melody accompanying it are so catchy too and will be in your head all day. Unfortunately, this one slipped through the cracks for us, as it dropped last week. But we are so happy we stumbled upon it, it is a vibe through and through.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Rewind,” by Blxst and Feid? Is this the best track he has dropped as of late, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the track and why? G-Eazy, Coi Leray, & Kaliii Are Searching For A Night Of Debauchery On “Femme Fatale”

Over the course of G-Eazy’s c areer, the Oakland, California MC has received a fair amount of criticism. Some of that comes from his “corny” writing or “bland” tracks. Most see him as a club banger artist, which is not a bad way to go about making music. He has differentiated his sound as well, but it seems the majority go for the high-octane cuts. So today, G-Eazy is back with a new offering in that space with “Femme Fatale.”

The song’s theme is about men and women both participating in the hedonistic lifestyle. Sex work is a big focus here too, and it is made apparent through the sample flip of the classic song from 20th Century Steel Band, “Heaven and Hell Is on Earth.” The lyrics, “Everyone’s got to make a livin’,” kicks “Femme Fatale” off, before bleeding into the verse from G-Eazy. “No prejudice (Nah), I’m a feminist (Yeah)No judgement ’cause everybody has to make a little, uh.”

He raps from the male perspective, then the features, Coi Leray, and Kaliii, give their side of things. Leray’s verse is gaining some attention already, especially where she says, “And all I drop is hits, baby, I don’t drop tears.” With all of that being said, the feedback on this song, which is supposedly starting an album rollout, has mostly been negative. The general consensus is that “club bangers” are not really blowing up anymore, G-Eazy needs to go back to his old sound, and songs that are all about sex need to stop. But what do you think? Check out the track for yourself and join in on the conversation.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Femme Fatale,” by G-Eazy, Coi Leray, and Kaliii? Is this one of the best songs he has put out as of late, why or why not? But slow down, don’t rush, baby, give it some time (Take your time)

Started at the bottom pier and now I’m top tier
And all I drop is hits, baby, I don’t drop tears

Courtney Bell & Conway The Machine Team Up For Slick Single “Word II Conway”

Courtney Bell is a rapper from Detroit, Michigan that a lot of people are sleeping on. He is considered a veteran in the game, dropping material to streaming since 2017, while also having two projects under his belt. Although it has been about three and a half years since his last release, Poverty Stricken, the blue-collar MC is still dropping some hot singles. For example, two of the tracks he has put out in the last year have been collaborations with the great Royce Da 5’9.” Now, Courtney Bell is working with Conway the Machine for “Word II Conway.”

This the first time these two Midwestern MCs have met up for song, but it is straight heat. What is impressive about “Word II Conway” is that Courtney Bell is essentially the main attraction here. No shade is being thrown at Conway, but he is merely an afterthought on this track. He handles the chorus, as well as the outro in which he shouts out Bell.

TiaCorine & Rich Brian Deliver Vibrant “PUMP IT UP” Under 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE

1999 WRITE THE FUTURE won over our hearts late last year. The hip-hop collective that has close affiliations with 88rising and RCA Records got their start in October with their debut single “WORLD STOP TURNING.” However, our first coverage of their work came shortly after that release. “MiNt cHoCoLaTe,” which dropped in December, put us on to what kind of experimentation they were up to. Maxo Kream & That Mexican OT Pay Homage To Chopped & Screwed On “Talkin In Screw”

Maxo Kream is back at it with another banger for 2024. The Texas rapper has been on an underrated run over the first few months of the year in terms of singles. He started off with the hazy and raunchy “Bang The Bus” with underground producer evilgiane. Then, at the beginning of March, he put out his first solo release with “No Then You A H*e.” A touching tribute to his late father with a message about toughness and the loaded expectations of men, it was easily one of the best songs this month. Now, to wrap things up before April, Maxo Kream is teaming up with That Mexican OT for “Talkin In Screw.”

This track is stark difference from the emotional record preceding it. It sees the two Texas artists go for the trap sound that also makes a nod to the chopped and screwed sounds of Southern hip-hop. The title is a clever play-on-words, as the main theme of the track is about people talking sideways about Maxo and OT. They use “screw” in place of hating, and like Maxo says on the chorus, “Make a n**** slow his roll like he talkin’ in Screw.”

That is Kream saying he is going to make sure the haters are going to relax and fix their tone. DJ Premier & Snoop Dogg Deliver A West Coast Kick Back On “Can U Dig That?”

DJ Premier and Snoop Dogg really do not need introductions at this point in their respective careers. Both have defined the West Coast and Southern hip-hop sounds for decades, delivering classics on classics. Even better, these two are still consistently pumping out new material as well. The last time we spoke about new Snoop was for the 30th anniversary of his legendary debut Doggystyle. He has also been active with the singles and features, with his assist on Benny The Butcher’s Everybody Can’t Go a standout.

For Mr. Premier he has put out some records with “Work This Out” being his most recent. That is, until DJ Premier and Snoop Dogg linked for “Can U Dig That?” This is not the first time these two greats have hit the booth together though. Funny enough, their most recent collaboration was actually on a Russ track “Free” which landed on CHOMP 2.”

Moneybagg Yo & Rob49 Drop Nearly NSFW Single “Bussin”

Moneybagg Yo is one of the most prolific Memphis rappers in the modern era. The CMG/Bread Gang Music Group MC has one of the largest catalogs with about 19 projects, not including deluxe versions. Even though we are accustomed to hearing multiple projects from him every year, 2023 was perhaps his biggest. In 2024, Moneybagg Yo is starting off with a raunchy bang by dropping “Bussin” with Rob49.

This marks the first-ever track with the Tennessee and Louisiana natives, as they rap about women and sex. It is easily one of the most bombastic tracks we have heard all year. The NSFW lyrics are not being subliminal whatsoever as you know what Yo and Rob49 are talking about on this cut. Helping with this basic trap banger are the master producers of the subgenre Tay Keith and Wheezy.
