Fat Joe Defends Lying In “95%” His Lyrics

Fat Joe has explained why he admitted to lying in “95%” of his lyrics, arguing that he had to speak out for those whose music is being used against them in court. Joe had been discussing his music and Young Thug’s ongoing trial during an interview with Gayle King on CNN.

“I’ve been rapping professionally for 30 years,” Fat Joe, last week. “I’ve lied in almost 95 percent of my songs. I’m being honest. I write like I feel that day. I’m just being creative. You couldn’t build a jail high enough for the lyrics I’ve said on songs, which are all untrue. What I am is a family man, the person who gives back to my community all the time, opens businesses in my community.”

Joe defended the comments while on Instagram Live, on Sunday. In doing so, he described himself as an “elder statesman of Hip-Hop.” “I had to say 95% of what I say is a lie so that they could understand that it’s unfair to try some kids for the rest of their life with sh*t they might have not done,” Joe explained. “None of this sh*t is true. It’s creativity. It’s imagination. Those who know, know. If I say I use my creativity, my imagination in my music, don’t mean I ain’t lived a real f*cking life in the streets.” Check out his latest comments on the matter below.

Fat Joe Addresses His Recent Comments

Joe’s livestream comes as Thug’s lyrics are being used against him in his YSL RICO case. Speaking with CNN, Joe argued that an artist of Thug’s popularity having his lyrics used in court sets a dangerous precedent for future musicians. He’s one of several rappers to express their concern over the matter in recent months. Be on the lookout for further updates on Fat Joe on HotNewHipHop.

Chloe Bailey Shows Off Her Tina Turner-Inspired Juneteenth Fit

Over the weekend, Chloe Bailey joined Nelly at CNN’s Juneteenth Celebration. The pair teamed up to perform Nelly’s duet “Dilemma” with videos of the performance going viral afterward. Despite some people’s reservations about Chloe’s performance one thing everyone seemed to love was her outfit. Today she dropped an Instagram post showing off the multiple pictures of her outfit and videos of the event.

The fit wasn’t the only part of her post paying tribute to Tina Turner. The perfectly placed caption reads “what’s love got to do with it?” paying tribute to one of the singer’s most well-known tunes. As fans digested videos of her performance with Nelly last night some took issue with Chloe’s apparent over-singing. Viewers left comments like “Kelly wasn’t free? bc this wasn’t the time for all that extra opera singing.” That one in particular references Kelly Rowland, the original singer alongside Nelly in the song Chloe stepped in to perform.

Chloe Bailey Shows Off Tina Tribute Outfit

In March of this year, Chloe dropped her first solo album In Pieces. The record sported features from Chris Brown, Missy Elliott, and Future but largely received mixed reviews from critics. Many pointed out the similarities between Chloe’s sound and that of her mentor Beyonce. Fans also had plenty to say when the record only sold $10k in its first week and only managed to debut at #119 on the Billboard 200. The album followed three previous albums she made with her sister Halle as a part of their Halle x Chloe duo. Halle has kept pretty busy herself taking on the starring role in Disney’s new live-action The Little Mermaid reboot.

Last month Chloe Bailey appeared on The Jason Lee Show. During the podcast, she talked about multiple hot topics fans were curious about. Those topics included her debut album, her relationship to Gunna, and Beyonce’s influence over her work. She also just recently finished the final leg of her In Pieces tour playing her debut album. It was her first-ever headlining tour as a solo artist. What do you think of Chloe’s Tina Turned-inspired Juneteenth outfit? Let us know in the comment section below.

Don Lemon Seen Smiling Despite CNN Firing

Don Lemon was recently fired by CNN, although the reason for his firing has not been made clear. However, in the past few months, Lemon had been reprimanded for comments about Nikki Haley. Moreover, leaked text messages alleged that Lemon wasn’t the easiest person to work with. Either way, he is now out of the network, and he will need to seek employment elsewhere. That said, it doesn’t seem like he is all that pressed about his current predicament.

According to TMZ, Don Lemon and his partner Tim Malone were at the Time100 Gala last night. The gala took place at the Lincoln Center in New York City. Additionally, throughout the evening, Lemon appeared to be having a great time. Overall, he was seen mingling with guests and was all smiles the whole time. Although, this was certainly not the case on the day of his firing as he took some massive shots at the CNN bosses.

“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly,” Don Lemon wrote. “At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play. With that said, I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best.”

CNN eventually came back with a response of its own, noting that Don Lemon was given the chance to speak to management. Although, he refused to do so. Either way, there is no doubt that this is an ongoing situation that will continue to breed new details. Stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the world.

Cam’ron Explains Viral “You Mad” Interview

Cam’ron has never been the type to stray away from the truth. He’s also not afraid to get down and dirty when it comes to beef. Whether it’s with his Dipset mates, former NBA players, or his It Is What It Is co-host Ma$e, Cam has no problem speaking his mind. Recently, Cam’ron appeared on the KFC Radio podcast. Moreover, during the interview, Killa explained some of his most notable moments that happened in the early 2000s. Not only that, Cam goes into detail about his infamous Bill O’Reilly interview in ’03.

“At the time, I was at Roc-A-Fella and they had a great publicist at the time,” Cam began. “A lot of these opportunities were presented but people were scared to take the opportunity,” he continued. “So particularly with the Bill O’Reilly ‘You Mad’ situation, they was like, ‘You want to go on Bill O’Reilly?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know who Bill O’Reilly is. Who is that? Not really,’” Cam explained. Furthermore, Cam’ron revealed he didn’t know what channel he was going to be on, but it didn’t matter he was ready for the challenge.

Cam’ron Gives The Details

He later explained, “They like yo, ‘Cam he’s an asshole I’m telling you this!’” Secondly, Cam’ron noted that due to the internet, he wasn’t able to do proper research and look up his debate opponent. “So I’m like, ‘I don’t give a fuck.’ I’m me so I don’t care when I go up there but the whole staff at Roc-A-Fella is tryna warn me like, ‘Okay Cam’, and I really wasn’t giving a fuck.” Later the Dipset rapper explained how it was Bill O’Reilly who got disrespectful first. “So basically, we get up there and the first thing he says is, ‘Cam’ron who’s known for rhyming about pimpin’ bitches.’ And I’m like ‘Bet it’s on!’ From the jump! And that’s how it all came about.”

Cam’ron further elaborated how the former Fox host, who had his own show The O’Reilly Factor in 2003, blamed the rapper for his kids being influenced by the music he and his contemporaries were putting out. You can check out the full interview above. However, Cam noted that he knew of O’Reilly’s sexual assault allegations, and was prepared to use it against the host. Rick Ross To Don Lemon: “We Hiring At Wingstop”

Some of the biggest news to hit the media cycle on Monday (April 24) was obviously Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon’s unexpected firings. While the former is now out at FOX News, it was CNN who let go of the latter. The former anchor released a statement via Twitter yesterday. Afterwards, the network shut down his claims that he wasn’t directly informed of the decision by management. “At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network,” Lemon tweeted after hearing the news from his agent.

“Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate,” the official CNN PR Twitter account wrote shortly after. “He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on [social media],” they further explained. Reactions to the surprising news continue to pour in from all across the nation, and one of the funniest we’ve seen so far comes from Rick Ross. The Biggest Boss addressed the situation via his Instagram Story earlier this week, revealing that he’s got the perfect employment opportunity for the media personality.

Rick Ross Reacts to Don Lemon’s CNN Firing

“Just found out Don Lemon was terminated from ‘CNN.’ Damn, dawg,” the author said to his followers. “But guess what? The brothers got your back,” Ross happily added. “We hiring at Wingstop. And for some reason, I believe you know what you doing with the lemon pepper wings, so man, just send over your résumé… I’ma make sure I get you in front of the right grill, brother. Stay solid, brother,” the “Purple Lamborghini” hitmaker quipped.

As HipHopDX notes, that’s not the only proposition Rick Ross had for the 57-year-old. “Just came up with a wonderful idea — well, really, Don, you helped me come up with this,” he credited Lemon. “I need to hit the team over at Rapstar Energy Drink and let ’em know we should introduce the Don Lemon flavour. What y’all think? Aye, Don, we got you brother!” the business mogul laughed. Do you think RR’s comments are out of pocket? With news anchor Don Lemon’s abrupt firing from CNN, rapper Rick Ross made light of the situation by offering the prime time television host a job at his popular chicken wing establishment.

After it was announced yesterday that Lemon was fired from CNN after 17 years, the Bawse offered Lemon a job as a fry cook at one of his Wing Stop restaurants.

“Just found out Don Lemon was terminated from CNN. Damn, dawg,” the MMG capo said in a video on his IG story. “But guess what? The brothers got your back We hiring at Wingstop. And for some reason I believe you know what you doing with the lemon pepper wings, so man, just send over your résumé … I’ma make sure I get you in front of the right grill, brother. Stay solid, brother.”

Ross then came up with an alternative for Lemon, which was a pitch to his Rapstar Energy Drink partner. “Just came up with a wonderful idea — well, really, Don, you helped me come up with this,” he said. “I need to hit the team over at Rapstar Energy Drink and let ’em know we should introduce the Don Lemon flavor. What y’all think? Aye, Don, we got you brother!”

Lemon announced his sudden departure from CNN in a tweet, saying theire were “larger issues” behind his firing.

“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN,” he wrote. “I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly.”
