Birdman Begs NBA YoungBoy To Save Hip-Hop: “We Need You, Man”

In a new clip, Birdman is seen making a pretty hefty request of NBA YoungBoy. The two of them appear to be on a FaceTime call, during which Birdman claims that hip hop isn’t doing too well. He calls for the 23-year-old to save the genre, explaining to him that at this point, “this sh*t too watered down.” “We need you, man,” he tells the young rapper.

“The f*ck, man?” Birdman continues before getting reassured. “You gotta save Hip Hop, bruh. Nephew, gotta save this sh*t bruh. Real talk.” Luckily, NBA YoungBoy seems to already have plans to do so. “I see it’s watered down. I’m finna come, though,” NBA YoungBoy says. The clip was showcased on the rapper’s Instagram page, alongside what appears to be a teaser for his next album. “Back at it #albumtime,” he captioned the post. This was far from the first time the Cash Money mogul sung the praises of the performer. He’s even previously claimed that NBA YoungBoy is like family to him.

In his 2022 Billboard cover story, Birdman reflected on working alongside YoungBoy on their collaborative mixtape, From the Bayou. He revealed that the young artist is like a son to him, noting how he was able to spot his potential right away. “Watching how fast he do music and the value of the music, I saw a lot of similarities between him and Wayne,” he explained to the outlet. “I seen stardom in him, but I knew it was a process.”

He went on to describe teaching YoungBoy that he could make a living from his craft. “I once was somebody like him,” Birdman shared, “And had to gamble my life.” He continued, “I wanted to show him that he could really survive off his talent. You could go to jail, or you could die, or you could try to be somebody.”

The father-son duo are seen flexing some of their dance moves, grooving to the rhythm of Tempoe and Victony’s “Soweto.” The 8-year-old is shown looking up at his father for guidance, adorably imitating his every move. The proud father appears to be overjoyed to share the moment with his son, flashing a bright smile.

It looks like the former B2K star has some exciting new ventures on the horizon. Earlier this summer, it was reported that a new TV series based on the performer’s own life got the go-ahead from Allblk. The scripted show, titled Involved, is centered around his own character as he seeks to break out of his boyband career and develop a better relationship with his family. Omarion stars in the dramedy, also acting as it’s co-creator and executive producer.

He’s also recently been subject to rumors of a possible romance with Nia long, though the actress denies this. Omarion, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to be too opposed to the idea. “I wouldn’t skim over it, you know what I’m saying, you know,” he told Club Shay Shay earlier this year. “Nia if you wanted to rock we can body- ody a.” The artist has also been keeping up with his music as of late, dropping his sixth studio album, Full Circle: Sonic Book 1, back in May.

In a newly-surfaced clip, Skinnyfromthe9 is seen getting into a public brawl with comedian Capone. Apparently, the situation unraveled after Skinnyfromthe9 accused Capone of “snitching” on his brother. In the clip, the duo are seen going at it, while various onlookers try to break things up. The fight didn’t end there, however, as they both later took to social media to trade some additional blows.

He shared a clip of the fight itself on his own page, claiming to be sick of people like Skinnyfromthe9. “Been puttin my hands on rats and rappers for a minute N***as know not to play w/ me,” he captioned it. “His security tried to hold me the whole time he KNEW not to even touch me. Had em curled up like a baby.”

He then proceeded to post a video discussing the incident, in which he warns Skinnyfromthe9 and others not to mess with him. Earlier this week, a clip surfaced of Uzi performing with the beat. Fans initially suspected that it was a track from their upcoming album, Barter 16. Though it had already been speculated that Mike Will Made It produced it, it wasn’t confirmed until now. Though some commenters are disappointed that the song doesn’t actually appear to be part of Uzi’s new project, fans can’t wait to hear “Blood Moon” either way.

Blueface Pops Off On Baby Mama Jaidyn Alexis In The Studio

In a new clip, rapper Blueface gets mad at the mother of his first two kids, Jaidyn Alexis. The duo appear in the studio while he’s live on Instagram. She messes up a few lyrics to her song while recording, causing Blueface to go off. The clip begins with a snippet of the song playing over and over, as Jaidyn struggles to get the words right.

“God damn,” he shouts, “What the f*ck? What don’t you know?” At first, he appears to be partially joking about his anger. That changes pretty quickly though, as he then aggressively slams his hands on the table and yells at her. “One plus f*cking one equals two,” he says. As he continues to berate her, she mostly stays silent. “You’re throwing me off,” she simply tells him. She appears pretty shaken by his over-the-top criticism, and sounds like she may be on the verge of tears. “I’m sorry baby, imma be nicer,” he assures her. It appears, however, that he had already taken his insults too far.

DJ Akademiks’ tirade against Erykah Badu continues. Recently, he took to social media to share more thoughts on the performer amid their beef. Earlier this month, the personality went on a pretty heated rant about Badu, calling her “ran through” and accusing her of sleeping around. Apparently, he’s still hurt over a dig from a few years back. Badu compared him to Jerry from Tom and Jerry in 2017, and Ak still isn’t happy about it.

He must have really taken the cartoon mouse comparison to heart, as he went pretty hard on Badu. In a new clip, he goes on to hurl additional insults at the artist, continuing to roast her for her sex life. “Not one n***a came to your defense,” he begins. “That’s how I know you’ve been spreading the p***y all over the industry.” He then went on, complimenting her for the way she managed to use his offensive comments to market her incense. “It wasn’t that serious,” he explains, “I’m sorry to tell you I’m keeping it a bean.”

“I’m not that hurt,” he also adds. Though DJ Akademiks claims he isn’t still upset by the Jerry comparison, it seems like it might still be weighing heavily on him. He admits that his roast was an attempt to “get back” at Badu for her comments, saying that there’s “no expiration” on comebacks. Amid the back-and-forth, some commenters have been warning Ak not to mess with Badu, as she’s known to have karma on her side. Kev appears stunned as the rapper makes his way out. “Well, for the very first time in Bootleg Kev Podcast history, we had someone walk off the set,” he says. As expected, a clip of the incident quickly started to make its way around the internet. Though EST Gee seemed pretty calm as he left the set, things escalated quite a bit when he took to social media to comment on the situation. He seemingly threatened the host on his Instagram Story, claiming that he was trying to use the situation to get attention.

Chrisean Rock Gets Emotional While Donating To Her Church

Chrisean Rock recently paid her hometown church a visit, blessing her pastor with a heartfelt gift. In a new clip, the performer and reality star stands on stage with Dr. Mike Freeman, reflecting on a moving experience she had as a child. She explains that as a kid, she was still coming into her religion, but could still “feel the presence of God.” Chrisean also says that she didn’t question the concept of tithes and offerings, and felt “motivated and amped up” about the word of God. “It’s what you owe him,” she says of the donations.
