Recently, Busta Rhymes graced the stage at the 2024 Essence Festival in New Orleans. Unfortunately, however, not everyone was on the same page throughout the show. At one point, the NYC-born performer paused his set to call out crowd members for sitting down and filming on their phones. He didn’t hold back, making it clear that he’s not from an era where that was acceptable.

“A-yo, f**k them camera phones, too. Let’s get back to interacting like humans. Put them weird-a** devices down,” he shouted. “I ain’t from that era. Them s**ts don’t control the soul. F**k your phone.” Obviously, he wasn’t having it and wasn’t afraid to let the audience know.

Lil Wayne Knows Nothing About A Hot Boys Reunion: “You Just Told Me!”

Rumors of a potential Hot Boys reunion album have been circulating for some time now, but according to Lil Wayne, he knows nothing about it. During a recent appearance on the Not Just Football podcast, the rapper was asked about it, prompting him to call some of Juvenile’s previous claims into question. In May of this year, Juvenile took to Instagram Live to announce that the group’s first album in over two decades was in the works.

“The Hot Boys Is back together, man,” he declared at the time, stating that he and other members planned to hit the studio in the coming weeks. “Any other f*cking questions?” For obvious reasons, his announcement had fans eager to hear what was to come, but it looks like the wait could be longer than they may have hoped.

It’s certainly possible that Juvenile linked up with some of the other Hot Boys, but Lil Wayne insists that he himself hasn’t done any work on the project. “That’s what he [said]? I ain’t been to the kitchen yet. I would not lie to you, I have not been in that kitchen yet,” he said, “I have no problem with going to that kitchen, but I ain’t smell it, it ain’t come through the window yet. I ain’t smell the food […] They ain’t told me nothing yet.”

Fortunately, it seems as though Lil Wayne is willing to take part in a reunion album, despite not knowing much about it at this point. Hopefully, he’ll touch base with Juvenile and the rest of the members soon to work out the details. Henson mistook another influencer for him as she made her way through the crowd giving people their flowers. He later made clear that he didn’t appreciate the mistake. In a TikTok, the food reviewer explained that he doesn’t hold it against Henson, but does hold it against the event’s production team.

Henson later responded to his complaints, claiming that he had been in a different seat than he was previously assigned, which is what prompted the confusion. She also said that his “ego is hurt,” suggesting that he’s making a bigger deal out of the mishap than necessary. “Life really is too short for this behavior,” she wrote. “He wasn’t in his seat [shrug emoji].”
