Chris Brown‘s name was heavy in the news over the weekend. First, he was said to have jumped Usher at Brown’s own birthday party. Then he took the stage for his performance at the Lovers & Friends festival.

But also at the Festival video hit the timeline, showing Brown in a separate altercation backstage at the festival. The heated exchange shows Brown yelling and being held by back security. He would hit online and deliver an explanation.

“Yall been geeked all weekend, y’all dragging it now,” Brown wrote on Instagram. “It was mad people backstage and security was trying to clear everyone off the stage. People started pushing back.. I INTERVENED To let them know MY CHILD WAS BACK THERE. So y’all can keep ya narrative.”

Usher To Play Festival Despite Chris Brown Altercation

On May 5, Chris Brown hosted his 34th birthday party at a skating rink in Las Vegas. Teyana Taylor arrived at the event, which angered Brown. According to reports, Brown and Taylor are currently at odds due to Taylor pulling out of Brown’s canceled Michael Jackson tribute at the AMAs. Brown got angry at Taylor, causing Usher to step in and try to defuse the situation. This directed Brown’s anger at Usher and the two argued. Brown then left the venue, with Usher following him to continue the conversation. Outside, Usher was allegedly jumped by Brown and his entourage.

However, footage of the fight is yet to surface and many people remain skeptical about its severity. This is because the incident reportedly took place in a Vegas parking lot and yet no one appears to have actually witnessed the fight itself. Furthermore, gossip outlets are starting to catch flak for their glib tone about proceedings. As one commentator on a Neighborhood Talk post wrote, “I just find it weird that it took CB attacking Usher for y’all to seem how violent he is, but not the multiple women he has abused.” Both Usher and Brown were scheduled to perform at Usher’s Lovers & Friends Festival on May 6. However, it was unknown how the altercation would affect this.

Usher To Still Play Set

According to The Neighborhood Talk, Usher will still perform his set on the Friends Stage. “Our sources assure he’s going to power through and put on a good show. He may, however, be covering up a bit,” read the post on The Neighborhood Talk. Usher is set to begin his set at 7:55pm MDT. Usher reportedly suffered a bloody nose and bruised ribs after being jumped by Brown and his crew. The incident reportedly happened behind a row of charter buses at the roller rink where the birthday party was happening.

However, there is no word on whether Brown will perform his set. Brown was scheduled to perform at 6:15pm on the Friends Stage. More details are coming out about the events that went down at Chris Brown’s 34th birthday party in Las Vegas. According to reports, Chris Brown verbally lashed out at Teyana Taylor. This led to Usher intervening. Brown and Usher exchanged words before Brown left the roller rink venue. When Usher followed him outside, he was allegedly jumped by Brown and his entourage.

However, little information had been given about exactly why Chris Brown had been berating Taylor. Now obviously, Brown does not have a great track record when it comes to positively interacting with women. However, sources have now spoken to lovebscott.com and reportedly shone more light on the situation.

Brown Has Beef With Taylor Over AMAs

According to the sources that spoke with Lovebscott, Brown did not know that Taylor was going to be at the event. Apparently, he and Taylor are not on good terms right now, and he wanted her to leave his party. He got angry after she appeared to ignore him while he tried to get her to leave. It’s unclear who invited or brought Taylor if she was on such bad terms with Brown. The source of their bad blood allegedly stems back to a canceled performance at the AMAs. Brown was meant to perform a Michael Jackson tribute but the set was scrapped. However, Brown appears to believe that the tribute was canceled because Taylor, who was initially scheduled to participate, pulled out due to other obligations.

Going back to the party, apparently, Taylor did not initially ignore Brown. Instead, Taylor told Brown that he was “on one” and proceeded to ignore him as his anger and vitriol ramped up. That’s when Usher stepped in, according to sources. Furthermore, sources have confirmed that Brown “beat Usher’s ass” after Usher followed him outside. Usher and Brown are both set to perform later today at Usher’s Lovers & Friends Festival. There has been no update about the festival about any potential changes to the lineup. Video Has Emerged Of Chris Brown And Usher Seemingly Arguing At A Party As Rumors Of An Altercation Swirl

Chris Brown turned 34 on Friday, May 5, and it appears controversy is following him into yet another year of his life. Reports and rumors are surfacing online that Brown got into a physical altercation with Usher at his birthday party.

Hollywood Unlocked posted this morning, May 6, that Brown’s party at Skate Rock City in Las Vegas “went downhill” when Brown acted “disrespectful” toward actor, creative director, and singer Teyana Taylor.

Hollywood Unlocked continued:

“The source explained that Chris Brown was noticeably ‘intoxicated’ when he initially approached her. A few guests and even Usher tried to intervene and calm everyone down. However, at some point during all the commotion, Chris Brown allegedly called Usher a ‘coward’ and left the venue.

The drama spilled over outside and onto Chris Brown’s bus as Usher followed behind to talk to the ‘Run It’ artist. Shockingly, that’s when things went completely left, with Chris Brown and his crew allegedly jumping the legendary R&B singer. The insider went on to say that the alleged beatdown was so bad that it left Usher with a ‘bloodied nose.’ Now, neither of the guys nor Taylor have spoken out to deny or clarify this report.”

The rumor was mostly met with skepticism online, but TMZ added more legitimacy to it this afternoon by sharing footage of Brown appearing to yell toward Taylor and Usher stepping in. The outlet said that the exchange “apparently led to some sort of scuffle that got violent outside.”

Per TMZ, Brown “was attempting to talk to” Taylor, but she was “ignoring him,” which an anonymous source relayed “pissed Chris off, and he started to yell at her, and that’s when Usher intervened and tried to calm him down.”

The TMZ report continued to echo was Hollywood Unlocked initially claimed:

“We’re told Chris wasn’t having it, cursing at Usher and Teyana — but then, mostly focusing his anger directly at Usher. Eventually, our sources say Chris told his crew they were leaving and they exited the facility. We’re told Usher took off his skates and went after them.

Our eyewitness — who says they were present for this — tells us they saw Usher go behind a string of charter buses that were parked in the lot … where Chris and his crew were at. We’re told a short time later, Usher emerged with what appeared to be a bloody nose.”

Furthermore, sources told TMZ that the disrespect that lead to the argument was that Taylor was reportedly ignoring Brown as he tried to talk to her and he began yelling at her. After Usher intervened, Brown directed his anger at his friend instead. However, no footage of the fight itself has been available. Furthermore, TMZ reports that LVPD did not receive any calls resembling the details of the fight.

Usher and Brown are both set to perform later today at Usher’s Lovers & Friends Festival. There has been no update about the festival, with the latest post on social media simply announcing that the festival gates are open. Brown is meant to take the stage at 6:15pm MDT, with Usher set to follow him at 7:55pm. There is approximately 55 minutes between the end of Brown’s act and the start of Usher’s.
