Chlöe & Chris Brown’s Upcoming Collab Cause Fans To Clash

Another Chlöe track is on the horizon, but her collaborator has caused quite the conversation. Chris Brown is one of the most celebrated Pop and R&B artists on the scene, but his scandals haunt him. Regardless of his hits, classics, global tours, and influence—Brown can’t dodge his years-long allegations of physical abuse against his girlfriends.

This week, Chlöe teased that her next single will arrive on February 24. Breezy also appears in the sultry image and the caption, as Chlöe tagged her collaborator. Initially, the announcement was met with mixed reactions. Many were excited to see these two sing their way into our playlists, while others have been unforgiving.

Some social media users opted to create memes, while others engaged in a debate. Chlöe and Brown’s fans also swiftly came to their defenses. Their talents were further highlighted, and some argued people should move on from the past. It was also mentioned that Brown teamed with several men in the industry who haven’t received the same pushback. His joint album with Young Thug, Slime & B, was a hit, but Thugger wasn’t attacked for linking with Brown. Additionally, he toured with Lil Baby, and the Atlanta rapper wasn’t challenged.

Moreover, Chris was recently asked about his potential participation in a Super Bowl halftime show. Following Rihanna’s epic appearance, fans were quick with questions about Brown revisiting his hits for the NFL stage. He, however, dismissed the possibility. According to the singer, the U.S. media doesn’t support him, so he would rather go where he’s respected.

His sentiments were fueled due to the controversy surrounding his appearance at the American Music Awards. It was further reported that Brown and Ciara were all set for a massive tribute to Michael Jackson. They both shared clips of their rehearsals, and fans were disappointed it didn’t come to fruition. Speculation swirled about why the purported tribute was axed, but many believe that Brown’s reputation among some elite circles still isn’t mended. Check out a few reactions below.

Chlöe Announces Chris Brown Collab

Chlöe just announced a collaboration with Chris Brown via an Instagram post, where the two are sensually pictured together. While this likely excited fans on impact, they’re already looking forward to Chlöe’s upcoming album. Moreover, the Bailey sister captioned the post with the collars release date and its potential titles. “2ND PIECE. HOW DOES IT FEEL @chrisbrownofficial. 2/24 pre-save link in bio.” As two incredibly dominant stars in R&B at the moment, it should make for a pretty impactful and engaging listen. Also, the “Do It” singer recently posted that she handed in her debut album In Pieces, set for a March release.

Given that information, that “2nd piece” Chlöe referred to likely indicates the second single. After all, she already released “Pray It Away” in late January this year and a couple of singles in 2022. From what fans heard already, it will be thrilling to see each member of Chloe x Halle find individual success. On the other hand, Halle Bailey is looking forward to her starring role in Disney’s new version of The Little Mermaid. Also, given that the newly announced team-up will drop near Valentine’s Day, it will most likely be a sultry affair.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown recently made headlines for somewhat of a temper tantrum due to his music. Sure, he appeared on Metro Boomin’s HEROES & VILLAINS late last year, but his recent escapades don’t have a musical note in sight. Furthermore, he blasted Robert Glasper online and questioned his visibility after losing the Best R&B Album Grammy to him. While he apologized afterwards, many still expressed disappointment, ridicule, or a straight up condemnation of the singer’s messages.

Regardless, Chlöe’s no stranger to extracurricular headlines, either. Just recently, she posted a thirst trap for Valentine’s Day where she boasted her uncuffed status and body. “I’m my own valentine this year,” she wrote. “Swipe for a surprise.” Although not everyone’s as excited about being their own valentine this year, Kelly Rowland and many others gassed the singer up in the comments. “WHATEVER the taste of this record is,” Rowland wrote, “it’s CRAZY!!!!” Overall, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on the Chris Brown collab and Chlöe’s upcoming record.

Chlöe’s Heart Is On Full Display (And Then Some) In Her Sexy Valentine’s Day Photos

Well, Valentine’s Day has come and gone but at least we have the memories. Among the stars posting about their V-Day plans and boo thangs were plenty who just used the day to get off a few racy fit pics to suit the theme, and you really can’t be mad at them. If you’re going to be single on the most romantic holiday, you might as well look good — and show it off — right?

Chlöe certainly agrees with this philosophy. As fans await the long-anticipated release of the “Pray It Away” singer’s solo debut album In Pieces in March, she remains booked and busy — but not so busy that she can’t whet their internet appetites with her signature steamy photoshoots. And V-Day was no exception; it even offered her a chance to dial up the sex appeal while potentially teasing her potential next single.

Of course, Twitter only allows for up to four photos at a time, and you know Ms. Chlöe wouldn’t settle for such paltry offerings. Over on Instagram, she posted a few extras:

In addition to her debut, fans can look forward to Chlöe headlining the NBA’s All-Star Weekend Road Show on TNT along with Wiz Khalifa, as well as yet another film role in Girl From The North, a musical inspired by the work of Bob Dylan, co-starring Woody Harrelson and Olivia Colman.

Anthony Mackie, Chloe Bailey, and Martin Lawrence Join “Sneaks”

The cast of the upcoming animated feature Sneaks is becoming even more star-studded. Added to the lineup is Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys for Life), and Chloe Bailey (Grown-ish). According to Variety, they will be joining the previously announced cast of Roddy Rich, Ella Mai, Swae Lee, Macy Gray, and NBA star Chris Paul. Rob Edwards (The Princess and the Frog, Treasure Planet) has written and is directing Sneaks. This is Edwards’ directorial debut. Laurence Fishburne is producing the film under Cinema Gypsy Productions. He stars opposite Grammy award-winning artist, Mustard, who is also the film’s executive music producer. The film tells the story of Ty, a designer sneaker who “doesn’t know life outside the comforts of his velvet-lined shoe box.” After a collector (Fishburne) steals his sister, Ty has to venture into NYC to rescue her. This leads to some new shoe friends, as well as a “sole-mate.”

Chlöe And Wiz Khalifa Will Grace NBA All-Star Weekend By Headlining ‘The NBA On TNT American Express Road Show’

But today, February 6, Uproxx can exclusively report on Chlöe and Wiz Khalifa’s whereabouts to tip off NBA All-Star Weekend.

Chlöe and Khalifa are set to headline the NBA On TNT American Express Road Show at The Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, February 16.

It continues, “In addition to the live telecast, the free event will offer fan competitions via the NBA on TNT Arcade, food, drinks, premium giveaways and other interactive games throughout the evening, as well as watch parties for the matchups: Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns.”

Chlöe, Uproxx’s August 2022 cover star, is gearing up to release In Pieces, her debut solo album due out in March. She dropped the soulful “Pray It Away,” its lead single, in late January.

Meanwhile, Khalifa started 2023 by performing “Memory Lane” from his July 2022 album Multiverse and his breakthrough hit”Black And Yellow” during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Chlöe Sings Aaliyah’s “One In A Million” For Missy Elliott Grammys Tribute

We’re days away from finding out who takes home the trophies at the Grammys. Los Angeles is already the hub of Hollywood, but it gets even more intense when hosting an award show. Parties, private events, and concerts leading up to the ceremony feature nominees and their equally famous peers. This week, the Grammys hosted the Black Music Collective dinner, where Dr. Dre, Sylvia Rhone, Lil Wayne, and Missy Elliott were honored.

According to Rolling Stone, the event also featured performances from 2 Chainz, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, Snoop Dogg, Tweet, Chlöe, and more. Wayne delivered a moving speech where he said, “I don’t get honored where I’m from.” The Rap icon added, “Where I’m from, In New Orleans, you’re not supposed to do this. We don’t get honored. I don’t know all of y’all tonight. Thank you. I ain’t sh*t without you.”

The tribute to Missy Elliott was also much-talked-about, as Mona Scott-Young, Ciara, Timbaland, and Lizzo honored the innovator. “This doesn’t get old to me. I’ve won a lot of awards and feel the same way,” said the hitmaker as she began to cry. “It hits different when you stand up here. We’ve been through a lot. I know Dre, Wayne, none of us rolled over into success.”

There were additional music performances to honor Missy, including Tweet delivering her Elliott-assisted “Oops (Oh My)” and Ciara giving the crows “1, 2 Step.” Chlöe also sang the late Aaliyah’s classic “One in a Million,” and a clip was shared on social media.

Additionally, Missy thanked record executive Sylvia Rhone for never trying to make her something she wasn’t. She also gave a nod to the women in Rap who helped pave the way before her, including Yo-Yo and MC Lyte. This is one of several honors that Missy has received in in recent years; she has a street named after her in her hometown and finally got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Chloe Bailey’s Booty Was Out Non-Stop During Dubai & Brazil Vacations: Photos

Between her stunning Instagram photos and her new single, “Pray It Away,” Chloe Bailey’s name has markedly been on the tip of countless tongues lately. She previously started 2023 with a photoshoot wearing a salacious golden bikini. Now, her efforts are primarily focused on the promotion of her upcoming debut album.

The Atlanta-born entertainer dropped her song and its accompanying music video on Friday. Throughout the visual, she sports various different looks. Among them are an elegant white dress and long, bright red locs that stand out in contrast to her neutral-coloured outfits.

It seems Bailey filmed at least parts of “Pray It Away” recently, as she rocks the same bold hairdo in her latest IG upload. On Monday (January 30), the R&B starlet shared a “Dubai/Brazil dump” with her 5.7 million followers.

She travelled to the United Arab Emirates earlier this month in support of her mentor Beyoncé. The mother of three allegedly earned $45M for her one-hour performance in the luxurious eastern country. Other famous faces at the show were Nia Long, Terrence J, Kendall Jenner, and Jay-Z.

Of course, Queen B was the main event. However, Bailey still found other fun activities to try out during her travels. She obviously spent plenty of time out on the water, kicking her dump off with a bootylicious snapshot of her posing for the camera on a water floaty.

Next up, the 24-year-old looks to have tried her hand at parasailing. In a video, she and a men float over the astounding green and blue landscape below them. They’re clearly enjoying the birds-eye-view experience.

Other uploads see Bailey smiling big while spending time with little ones, jet skiing, practicing her jumps, and showing off the sun-kissed freckles quickly spreading across her face from so much fun in the Sun.

Are you excited to hear Chloe Bailey’s debut solo album, In Pieces, this March? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Donald Glover Shares 1st Look At His Beyoncé-Inspired Amazon Series

Donald Glover has shared a first-look image from his upcoming Amazon series, Swarm, which takes inspiration from Beyoncé. The show will follow a young girl obsessed with a fictional pop star and detail the “dark, unexpected places” that fandom takes her.

Glover discussed the highly-anticipated show during an interview with Vanity Fair.

“We just thought it’d be fun to make a post-truth Piano Teacher mixed with The King of Comedy,” Glover said. “Me and my brother Stephen were talking about finding someone like Isabelle Huppert, as far as risk-takers in performances.”

As for the cast, Chloe Bailey will star while Damson Idris plays the role of her boyfriend.

“A lot of people did it out of the kindness of their hearts and they did a really great job,” Glover said, before adding, “Dom, Damson, Chloe. I was really blown away at how hard they worked on the tone, ’cause it’s a strange one.”

Swarm co-creator Janine Nabers further described the show as feeling like “a sister to Atlanta.” He also says it lives in “the same tonal space.”

Regarding the writers, Barack and Michelle Obama’s daughter, Malia, was on the team. Nabers has nothing but praise after working with the former President’s daughter.

“Dre and Marissa are in their 20s and Malia is in her 20s, so it was really great having someone like her in the room,” Nabers said. “She’s a very professional person. She’s an incredible writer and artist. We really wanted to give her the opportunity to get her feet wet in TV and see if this is something she wants to continue doing.”

Amazon has yet to announce a release date for the series. Until then, check out a first look at Donald Glover’s new series, Swarm, below.

Chlöe’s New Single Sets The Tone For Our Weekly “R&B Season” Update: Stream

Last Sunday, our R&B Season update brought five new female-first titles to you for consideration. Today (January 29), we’re back with four more songs for you to stream, kicking off with Chlöe’s “Pray It Away.”

The Atlanta songstress shared the long-awaited news of her debut solo album last week. Currently, it’s due to drop in March. Throughout 2022, she teased her fans plenty with releases like “Surprise” and “Treat Me.”

On her final drop of last year, “For The Night,” Chlöe admitted to using her brief fling with Gunna as inspiration for her music. From the sounds of things, her latest R&B arrival may also be the result of a broken heart.

Following the fashionista is Lil Yachty, who shared his Let’s Start Here. record on Friday (January 27). A far reach from his usual SoundCloud rap style, the new album finds the “Broccoli” hitmaker experimenting like never before.

Of the 14 songs included on the tracklist, we’ve selected “drive ME crazy!” as our top pick.

“Good, love feels like butterflies suffocating your insides / Oh, it’s a late night, you know I try,” Yachty lyricizes on the song’s second verse.

Next comes our only R&B collaborative effort his weekend, from Vandell Andrew and The Colleagues. They linked up with Raheem DeVaughn to craft a remix of their “Euphoria” single. Listeners have already been streaming the song heavily.

Finally, our last selection of the week comes from Daniel Caesar, who has one question for listeners – “Do You Like Me?”

The Canadian singer is preparing for his forthcoming album with his first single of the year. Previously, he was joined by BADBADNOTGOOD on “Please Do Not Lean” in the spring of 2022.

Stream our latest R&B Season update exclusively on Spotify below. Additionally, you can find more hot new music recommendations on our Fire Emoji playlist here.
