Tyla Releases Statement on ‘Coloured’ Conversation After Viral Breakfast Club Moment

Tyla Revamps Amapiano Music WIth Self—Titled Debut Album

While at The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne Tha God questioned Tyla about the debates surrounding being a “coloured” person from South Africa. Tyla’s team interjected, asking not to discuss the subject. Following the viral moment, Tyla shared that she has never denied her blackness.

“Never denied my blackness, idk where that came from…” Tyla wrote. “I’m black/Zulu, irish, Mauritian/Indian and Coloured.

“In Southa I would be classified as a Coloured woman and other places I would be classified as a black wom[a]n. Race is classified different in different parts of the world.”

Megan Thee Stallion is currently about midway through her Hot Girl Summer Tour that launched last month, and she appears to be feeling pretty good. She was in a celebratory mood on Instagram last night (June 13), when she shared a collection of recent stray thoughts.

Perhaps the most notable one is this: “Ima pop my sh*t for a second lol but people questioned if I was an arena artist anddd I mean [shrugging emoji] teehee.”

Notably, in May, Charlamagne Tha God claimed that Megan is “not an arena artist,” but he quickly retracted his assertion, later saying, “Clearly, we got our answers. She sold out 13 arena stops in over 240,000 tickets across North America and Europe. Yeah, so if you’re selling out arenas, you’re an arena artist.”

Elsewhere, Meg showed love for tour opener GloRilla (calling her “my sister 4L”) and made note that her beloved dog Foe Thee Frenchie is now a father. If you want to see the puppies, Meg just shared a video of them on Foe’s Instagram account:

Check out Meg’s full post below.

“Hotties as we get ready for my FIRST ALBUM UNDER HOTGIRL PRODUCTIONS dropping 6.28 I wanna tell yall some of my favorite things that have been happening on tour SO FAR [heart hands emoji]

It kicked off over the weekend with a social media back-and-forth between the pair and an eventual entire diss track from BIA dropping.

Charlamagne Tha God Warns Kai Cenat To Stay Away From “Old School Journalists”

Charlamagne Tha God has come to Kai Cenat’s defense and is advising him to stay away from “old school journalists” who don’t want to see him succeed. He shared his comments on the controversial live streamer during an episode of his Brilliant Idiots podcast with Andrew Schulz.

“Stay away from these dirty ass n****s, these Hip-Hop f*cking old school journalists who don’t really wanna see you succeed. You ain’t never even claim to be a journalist.” From there, he explained that one of his friends recently got mad because Cenat didn’t know the title of JAY-Z’s first album. “JAY-Z’s first album is older than Kai Cenat,” Charlamagne remarked. “Reasonable Doubt is 26. Kai is 22. I don’t care that he don’t know that.”

It’s not the first time Charlamagne has come to Cenat’s defense. When Elliott Wilson criticized the streamer earlier this year, the Breakfast Club host similarly praised him. In response, Cenat said on social media. “Elliott did respond immediately to Nicki’s tweet about him, but the way I viewed it was like, right now in today’s day and age, people been doing it for so long that it’s been the same for years and years. But when there’s a new thing that’s out, they can’t really grasp and understand it,” he said at the time. “So sh*t like that don’t necessarily bother me because I know the position I’m in and I know I’m young, bro. I have a whole journey ahead of me.”

Charlamagne Tha God Believes Trump Is a ‘Threat to Democracy’

Charlamagne Tha God Believes Trump Is a ‘Threat to Democracy’

Recently, Breakfast Club Radio host Charlamagne tha God criticized former President Trump on Tuesday, labeling him a “threat to democracy” and accusing him of leading an “attempted coup.”

On Fox News, Charlamagne stated, “Let the record show, I totally agree with Robert De Niro. I am one of the people who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. I think he is a threat to democracy.”

He spoke on Trump’s actions on January 6, 2021, and claimed that Trump sought to suspend parts of the Constitution to overturn the 2020 election results. “I think that he led an attempted coup of this country,” Charlamagne added.

Charlamagne came with receipts and highlighted a December 2022 Truth Social post where Trump wrote, “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” He commented, “He said we should suspend the Constitution to overthrow the results of the election. He said it on Truth Social, then said he didn’t say it.”

Last week, Charlamagne said he would vote for the candidate who he believes can “preserve democracy,” though he expressed dissatisfaction with both Trump and Biden, calling them “trash” candidates. No argument there, but this was all before Trump was just convicted on 34 felony counts.

While he endorsed Biden in 2020, he declined to do so this time, telling The View, “If I think both candidates are trash, and I don’t feel like endorsing one, would you rather me endorse an individual or endorse the fact that, hey, we need to go out there and protect democracy?”

“If I’m sitting here telling my listeners that you have somebody out there who is a threat to democracy, you have somebody out there who said they want to suspend the Constitution to overthrow the results of an election, you saw this person try to lead an attempted coup of this country,” he said, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

Despite his straightforward critiques, Charlamagne has indicated he will vote for Biden, though he has not shied away from criticizing the incumbent. He even suggested last year that Biden should drop out of the race amid low poll numbers.

Charlamagne Tha God Reveals How People Tried To Influence His Opinion On Kendrick Lamar’s “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers”

Charlamagne Tha God recently recalled how he had to block out other people’s opinions on Kendrick Lamar’s album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. Speaking with The Diary Of A CEO, Charlamagne explained how fans are always trying to influence what he says about music on The Breakfast Club.

“If your emotional IQ is so low that people on social media can dictate how you move, how you think, how you talk, you’re not a smart person to me. Smart people know how to disconnect from that. And smart people know how to go do some meditation and make sure that their thoughts are absolutely positively their own,” Charlamagne explained.

From there, he revealed how people have been trying to tell them their thoughts on Kendrick Lamar. He added: “I love Kendrick Lamar. I think he’s fantastic. I think Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, in the future, is gonna be known as one of the most important hip-hop albums of all time. That one and JAY-Z’s 4:44. But, people are hitting me and telling me their thoughts and telling me their opinions and I’m blocking all of that because I listened to the record. I listened to it five or six times, I know what I got from it. I know what I feel about it. And, I’m not letting y’all change my mind.” Check out his full comments on the issue below.

50 Cent Cosigns Charlamagne The God’s New Book Title Playing On His Iconic Album Title

50 Cent uses his Instagram account about as much as anyone, though normally the people who end up on there aren’t there for good reasons. He uses the platform to comment on social issues and start beef with just about anyone he sees fit. Recently that’s manifested with numerous people in Diddy’s circle. As the events surrounding the rap mogul have evolved dating back to last year 50 has continued to joke about and harass him on his Instagram. The newest name to pop up on 50’s page is Charlmagne Tha God, though its for far different reasons than most.

Charlamagne has a new book coming out soon and for the title he chose to cleverly play on one of 50’s iconic album titles. Get Honest Or Die Lying is the title of the book, an obvious reference to 50’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin. 50 was surprisingly in favor of the idea sharing a post promoting the book with a positive caption. “Bro your idea, to use my idea , is a good idea 👋👋👋😆@cthagod I’m gonna check this out I’m sure it’s good” 50’s post reads. Charlamagne himself even pulled up in the comments to joke that
“I’ll have your money by Monday!!!!.” Check out the entire post below.

50 Cent Loves Charlamagne’s Book Title

In the comments, fans are much less kind to Charlamagne’s book concept. “Who wants life advice from Charlemagne?” one of the most updated replies on the post reads. “Charlamagne has been lying his whole life. 😂” another comment reads. Recently, 50 has been using his Instagram to continue posting about Diddy. He’s insinuated multiple times that the rap mogul might be at risk of taking his own life. Those posts came in the wake of recent allegations made against him.

What do you think of 50 Cent cosigning Charlamagne The Dog playing off of one of his album titles for the name of his new book? Do you agree with fans that Charlamagne has no right to publish a book about telling the truth? Let us know in the comment section below.

Charlamagne Tha God Gets Brutally Honest About His Voting Intentions

Charlamagne Tha God is someone who has never shied away from having political conversations on his show, The Breakfast Club. Overall, he has done interviews with some massive figures. For instance, he once interviewed Hillary Clinton and even Joe Biden. Throughout the years, the radio host has been adamant about his distaste for Donald Trump. He has even called the former President a threat to democracy as we know it.

However, Charlamagne has refused to give an endorsement to President Joe Biden ahead of the election. While he has stated that he will vote Democrat, he isn’t exactly excited about it. He feels that Biden is not a good candidate and that a lot of Americans are being held hostage in this situation. During an appearance on CBS Mornings, Charlamagne was pressed about this position. As one of the hosts explained, Charlamagne has a responsibility to get people excited to vote considering his large platform.

Charlamagne Tha God Speaks Out

Fundamentally, Charlamagne disagrees with that sentiment. In his mind, it is up to the politicians to be worth voting for. It is certainly a great point. At the end of the day, people will only vote if they feel energized. That said, Charlamagne did say that Trump was a threat to democracy and by that statement alone, he is implying you should vote for the other side. If you thought last election was polarizing, this next one is shaping up to be worse.

Let us know what you think of this take from Charlamagne Tha God, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that it is an issue for him to be using this rhetoric considering his large platform? Or do you think he’s right that it is up to the politicians to say something useful? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Charlamagne Tha God Questions Diddy’s Honesty & Remorse In Apology Video

Diddy’s apology for the disturbing footage of him assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway is garnering a lot of shocked reactions from the hip-hop world and beyond. Moreover, The Breakfast Club recently expressed disgust at the clip itself and also discussed his apology video, which Charlamagne Tha God believes no one should take seriously. DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious agreed, and Charlamagne added his belief that Sean Combs is only sorry that the video came out, not for his actual actions. They brought up how the music mogul had denied any and all wrongdoing in the past, calling Cassie’s lawsuit a play for money.

Furthermore, The Breakfast Club, specifically Charlamagne Tha God, questioned why Diddy would double down and lie when he presumably knew that evidence existed of at least some crimes. Of course, many of the other claims against him are unconfirmed and have no evidential basis as of writing this article, something that we might have to see in a court of law. Elsewhere, the radio hosts also theorized where the video footage came from if Puff had paid $50K for it, as alleged. Also, Jess Hilarious expressed her belief that more videos will come out in the future, and agreed that the apology was only for his own ego and not to anyone in particular, instead showing how his behavior hasn’t changed all that much.

The Breakfast Club Speak On Diddy Footage & Apology

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” Diddy’s apology kicked off. “I was f***ed up. I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

Meanwhile, there is a whole wealth of pop culture reactions to this whole footage scandal. They range from vindictive to outraged. Diddy dropped his apology video but found a storm in its wake, and it’s unclear how the rest of this reckoning will proceed. Whether or not The Breakfast Club is correct on there being more evidence, this is already a pretty significant blow. Only time will tell what the solution will be.

Charlamagne Tha God Picks His Best Diss & Best Song In The Kendrick Lamar & Drake Beef

Now that the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef seems to be over, everyone is chiming in on who they think won and who came out with the better material. Of course, on that last point, a lot of people are distinguishing between two different categories: which was the better diss track, and which was the better song overall. That’s what Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne Tha God, and company debated in the clip below, and they also gave some interesting reasoning as to why they think there’s a winner. Whether or not you agree or disagree with The Breakfast Club co-host’s take, you can’t deny that it’s a very tough race either way.

“‘Family Matters’ is probably the best record [diss track]. ‘Not Like Us’ is the best song,” Charlamagne Tha God remarked. “Yeah, ‘Not Like Us’ is the best song. ‘Not Like Us’ is the best bop. Nah [Drake didn’t win]. He lost because of f***ing strategy. I don’t know if I really count ‘Like That’ or ‘First Person Shooter.’ I don’t know why y’all got ‘7 Minute Drill’ by J. Cole even up there, I don’t know why y’all got ‘Show Of Hands’ up there [with Future, A$AP Rocky, and Metro Boomin], I don’t know why y’all got ‘All To Myself’ [with Future, The Weeknd and Metro Boomin].

Charlamagne Tha God Praises Both Drake & Kendrick Lamar For Their Battle

None of that matters,” Charlamagne Tha God continued. “We’re talking about Kendrick and Drake. We’re talking about Kendrick Lamar and Aubrey Graham. That’s who we talking about. So if anything, I would keep ‘Like That.’ No, it doesn’t [‘7 Minute Drill’ doesn’t exist anymore]. I would keep ‘Like That’ and then ‘Push Ups.’ Then I would go into ‘Taylor Made Freestyle.’ Then I would go into ‘Euphoria,’ ‘6:16 In LA,’ ‘Family Matters,’ ‘Meet The Grahams.’ And then ‘Not Like Us,’ and then ‘The Heart Part 6.’”

Meanwhile, Drake is coming back out of the woodwork to ask the helicopters around his house to quiet down, and Kendrick Lamar is still quiet throughout it all. Maybe there will be an epilogue round to all this that brings more tracks, but it seems unlikely at press time. For now, let us know what your picks for the winner, the best diss, and the best song are down in the comments section down below. We’ll see whether this is really the end.
