Charlamagne Tha God Denies DJ Akademiks Diss Allegations: Watch

Charlamagne Tha God has been a force in radio far longer than many realize, which is precisely why he’s so confident sharing his opinions on others and demanding his flowers. Earlier this week, a resurfaced snippet from an episode of Brilliant Idiots caused some debate online as the media personality referred to others occupying the same spaces in the years after his come-up as his “sons.” Specifically, the internet believes Tha God is referring to DJ Akademiks, host of the Off the Record podcast and known for beefing with femcees publicly.

“How did y’all come to the conclusion I was talking about Akademiks, though?” the South Carolina native asked co-hosts Jess Hilarious and DJ Envy on The Breakfast Club yesterday (February 27). “Well, last year [he] publicly called out you, Wallo, and Gillie and said that y’all are avoiding his podcast, acting brand new or whatever,” the show’s newest addition argued. “That was a year ago,” Charlamagne shot back, clearly not holding onto the past. “Let’s just face it, and say what it is,” Hilarious replied before dissing Ak and his “smell a** basement.”

Rather than feed into the pettiness, the father of four told his pregnant co-host to “cut it out.” Defending himself, Tha God added, “I was just talking. Like, when Nicki Minaj says, ‘All these b**ches is my sons,’ do we say she’s talking to one person?” He might not have satisfied Hilarious and Envy with his answer, but Charlamagne sure did have listeners laughing.

Elsewhere in the news, DJ Akademiks has once again found himself at war with Yung Miami online. According to the controversial podcaster, the City Girl is to blame for Diddy’s bombshell lawsuit from Cassie, not to mention all the chaos that’s ensued in the time since. Charlamagne Tha God Calls Out His “Sons,” Fans Think He Means DJ Akademiks

Charlamagne Tha God went on a rant about his “sons” in the industry during a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast, which he hosts with Andrew Schulz. When No Jumper shared the clip on Instagram, fans were quick to assume that he was referring to DJ Akademiks.

“My sons. Some of y’all are my sons and I know you’re upset because Daddy’s been neglecting you. I love all my sons regardless of how y’all talk about Daddy. Don’t mention Daddy’s name ever again. They can’t. Whenever you hear my sons talking about me,” Charlamagne said, before Schulz remarked that they’re hungry. “Next time you hear my sons talk about me, just go in they comments and put ‘Daddy’s not coming home.’”

If Charlamagne was referring to DJ Akadamiks, it wouldn’t be the first time the two have traded shots. Last year, Akademiks complained that Charlamagne, as well as Gillie The Kid and Wallo, were avoiding his podcast. “Wack 100 connected me to Gillie and Wallo, hit me up, ‘Yo Ak, we wanna do a podcast with you, blah blah blah, where you be at?’” Ak said at the time. “Two days of communication, thanks to Wack. Me, Gillie and Wallo did a podcast. I just keep it 100. It’s been seven months, I’ve been trying to get them on my podcast. Charlamagne, back in the day, something going on with me and Joe [Budden]. ‘Yo Ak, pop up!’ I been begging him for like a year. ‘Whenever you free bro, whenever.’ I been on Andrew [Schultz’s] show twice. Now I feel a way. Facts.”

Cesar Pina and His Wife Facing Arrest After Failing to Surrender Docs to Court

Cesar Pina's Attorney Negotiating Plea Deal in Real Estate Scam Case

Cesar Pina, the former business partner of DJ Envy, is facing arrest. Cesar and his wife, Jennifer Pina, failed to provide the required documentation to the courtroom.

According to AllHipHop, Mark Politan, the trustee representing Whairhouse Real Estate Investments, LLC, is calling for the arrest of Cesar and Jennifer.

The letter requesting the arrest was filed on Feb. 6, 2024, with a request for a formal order of arrest being entered on Feb . 8. The two could be arrested at any moment.

Pina is charged with allegedly defrauding dozens of real estate investors in 2023. Attempting to clear DJ Envy, Pina stated The Breakfast Club host “was never in the room with me” while doing deals.

In a separate statement, Pina denied the belief that Envy was a victim. “That’s the dumbest shit I ever heard in my life. Me and him were partners in the real estate seminars.”

DJ Envy was reportedly prepared to testify against Pina earlier this year, if necessary. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Envy is prepared to take the stand.

“We are aware that on December 20, 2023, the Court issued an Order compelling the production of documents demanded in those subpoenas,” Envy’s lawyer, Daniel Marchese, wrote. “At this time, I am happy to report that on Friday, January 5, 2024, we forwarded our responses and document production to counsel for the Trustee in these aforementioned cases.

“Given the professional back-and-forth between counsel and I since then, it would appear that indeed the responses and the production were acknowledged and received by the Trustee. With this writing, I therefore confirm my client’s compliance with Your Honor’s Order. As I offered to Trustee’s counsel, I will likewise offer to the Court that should sworn testimony (in any form) be needed to affirm my client’s responses and production, he would readily oblige.”

In November, DJ Envy and Cesar Pina were named in a new lawsuit over their real estate business practices. In court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Envy, and Pina are being sued by Derik Deangelo, Chamblin Group Real Estate Ventures LLC, and Reispec Developments LLC.

The suit claims state the two men used their “Flipping New Jersey” seminars as “funnels to draw in victims” to their real estate scam. The lawsuit includes violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, a breach of contract, a civil RICO violation, fraudulent transfer, and more. The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and request $2,000,000 in damages.

“During these private consultations and meet and greets, members of the Pina network attempted to ‘size up’ the financial resources of each attendee and solicited individuals with sufficiently high net worth to ‘partner’ with Pina, DJ Envy, and other members of the network in real estate ‘joint ventures,’” the docs read. “During these meetings, Pina also offered his personal ‘consulting services’ wherein he made himself available for one-on-one private meetings with guests at his office for flat rate fees ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 per meeting and more.”

Charlamagne Tha God Responds To Mo’Nique’s “Breakfast Club” Bashing

Mo’Nique’s recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay, as is seemingly becoming typical for the podcast, was quite wild and elicited a lot of reactions. She spoke on many industry topics, interpersonal drama, past criticism, and previous ruffles with the likes of Netflix in 2018 over racial and gender bias. Moreover, this call to boycott the streaming service resulted in the actress getting a “Donkey of the Day” title from Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club. A tense interview followed that, and in 2022, she and Netflix “amicably resolved” a discrimination lawsuit and she got a comedy special shortly after.

Now, the Maryland native looked back on this exchange with Charlamagne and the radio show with Sharpe, and had some choice words. “People were having call-ins when I said, ‘This is not right,’” Mo’Nique shared with Shannon Sharpe. “I was ‘Donkey of the Day.’ Remember that? The Breakfast Nubs called me the ‘Donkey of the Day.’ That’s what they said. And they had a whole call-in about how I was the ‘Donkey of the Day.’ But you didn’t do the same thing when you found out we settled.”

Furthermore, it seems like this whole exchange taught The Breakfast Club, and Charlamagne Tha God in particular, a valuable lesson. He gave some thoughts on Mo’Nique’s comments during the show’s latest episode, taking the moment to fix some previous wrongs in her eyes. “We gave Mo’Nique big love when the Netflix special happened,” the media personality expressed on air. “And I said, ‘You know what? That’s why I need to mind my damn business when it comes to other people’s business.’”

Meanwhile, another notable claim that the 56-year-old shared on Club Shay Shay was about a previously viral episode on that show with Katt Williams. “Everything Katt Williams sat here and said, we all know it to be the truth,” she stated. “However, we get so caught up in, ‘Well, I ain’t gonna say nothing. Can you believe he said it?’ […] It’s the messenger, baby. We get so caught up in the messenger that we’ll overlook the message.” For more news and the latest updates on Mo’Nique and Charlamagne Tha God, log back into HNHH.

Charlamagne Tha God Thinks Nicki Minaj’s “Big Foot” Diss Track Was Disappointing

Like most rap fans out there, Charlamagne The God was really looking forward to Nicki Miinaj’s new diss track against Megan Thee Stallion, “Big Foot.” However, taking to The Breakfast Club on Friday morning (January 29), he wasn’t really feeling it, lamenting a lack of fresh bars and unnecessary shots against the Houston MC. “This ain’t it, Nicki. Okay? I don’t know who Nicki got around her, but there is absolutely no reason that should’ve left the studio,” the entrepreneur began. “I’m glad Nicki decided to finally rap and not just tweet, but no. That ain’t it.

“‘Cause Megan put out [her] song Thursday night at midnight, right?” Charlamagne Tha God continued about Nicki Minaj. “For the next 72 hours, all weekend, Nicki just has been talking about her on social media. And a lot of the bars that may have made me been like, ‘Oh, shoot,’ she already tweeted about! You know, she tweeted the ‘Megan’s Law, Megan raw’ line on Twitter. Slick line, but once I heard it in the song, already saw it on social media. So it ain’t hit the same.

Charlamagne Tha God Speaks On Nicki Minaj’s “Big Foot”: Watch

“The ‘Big foot’ line on IG Live didn’t hit the same, because I heard it on IG Live,” Charlamagne added of Nicki Minaj’s diss track. “And I know we say all is fair in love and rap battles, but man, hearing Nicki keep talking about Megan’s deceased mother, that ain’t it, man. I was born in 1978. If you had asked me this question 20 years ago, I would’ve probably said, ‘Nah! All is fair and love and hip-hop!’

“And I still kind of feel like that to a certain extent,” he concluded. “[Biggie and Tupac] are terrible examples. Hov apologized, said he went too far, and I’m sure Nas looks back on ‘Ether’ sometimes like, ‘Okay, I shouldn’t have said that.’ We’re approaching this from a grown level. I just don’t see the need to bring in somebody’s deceased mother. Like I said, I can’t say it’s not fair. I’m just speaking from a human perspective. From a human level, I don’t agree with that.” For more news and the latest updates on Nicki Minaj and Charlamagne Tha God, come back to HNHH.

Is Jess Hilarious Co-Hosting “The Breakfast Club”? Even Charlamagne Tha God Isn’t Sure At This Point

The Breakfast Club is one of the best-known pop culture radio shows on the air right now, but ever since Angela Yee walked away from the program, listeners are eager to find out who her replacement will be. Jess Hilarious is just one of the media personalities to have stepped in for the Lip Service host in late 2023, and before the year was up, there was even talk of her taking on a full-time role alongside DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God.

Interestingly, Hilarious hasn’t been back on the air since sharing the news, leaving us befuddled as to what’s next for the TBC crew. Just a few days ago, TMZ caught up with Tha God to ask him some questions, though it seems he’s just as lost as everyone else. “Huh?” the Brilliant Idiots host responded as the outlet pressed him for updates. “Jess? I don’t know where Jess is!” he insisted, before plugging her iHeartRadio podcast and the stand-up comedy she’s still doing. “I guess the better question is, where’s our third host?” a female voice behind the camera inquired.

Charlamagne Tha God Addresses Jess Hilarious Rumours

“That’s a really great question, I would love to know the answer to that. I mean, I just came from downstairs. It was just me and Envy doing the show again. Everybody saw us rotating guest hosts last year,” Charlamagne told TMZ. “We said we was gonna start 2024 with a new host, and that hasn’t happened yet.” He was unable to provide details about any potential renegotiations unfolding, instead claiming ignorance on the whole matter and making it clear he’s not interested in bringing in new rotating guests to help out in the studio again.

Jess Hilarious might not be providing answers as to whether or not she’ll be on The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God, but that doesn’t mean she’s staying out of the public eye entirely. Instead, the entertainer continues to let her comedic personality shine, most recently teasing Kai Cenat over his reaction to Lil Nas X’s “J Christ” single. DJ Envy Prepared to Testify Against Former Partner in Real Estate Case if Necessary

DJ Envy Goes Against Lawyer's Advice, Makes Statement Against Rumored Involvement in Real State Scam

DJ Envy is prepared to testify against his former business partner, Cesar Pina, if necessary.

As I offered to Trustee’s counsel, I will likewise offer to the Court that should sworn testimony (in any form) be needed to affirm my client’s responses and production, he would readily oblige.”

Last year, according to court reporter Meghann Cunniff, Envy must provide documents regarding Cesar Pina’s Whairhouse LLC bankruptcy by request by Judge Rosemary Gambardella to the court-mandated report by Jan. 8.

If Envy did not meet the deadline he could be arrested and make a mandatory deposition in New Jersey bankruptcy court.

Envy already missed one deadline as Judge Gambardella states Envy did not comply witha subpoena to provide financial and communication documents by Nov. 28. The order also lists Pina and his wife, Jennifer Iturralde Pina, under the same Jan. 8 deadline. If the trio fail, Judge Gambardella could host a hearing “to address appropriate sanctions against Cesar Pina, Jennifer Iturralde Pina and Raashaun Casey for contempt of this Court’s order, including, but not limited to an order for arrest to bring the parties to the United States Bankruptcy Court.”

“‘The Breakfast Club’ is bigger than any of us as individuals,” Charla said. “I’ve always felt like that.”

He added, “I’ve never felt like The Breakfast Club was just a show about three individuals. That’s always where my mind was.”

NBA YoungBoy Drops Charlamagne Tha God Diss Track Featuring Live Donkey

NBA YoungBoy has dropped a new track, “Act A Donkey”, which serves as a diss track aimed at Charlamagne Tha God. The impromptu release stems from Charlamagne dubbing YoungBoy the “Donkey of the Day” on a recent episode of The Breakfast Club. Notably, despite the fast turnaround, YoungBoy was able to procure a live donkey to appear in the video.

However, many people felt that YoungBoy had taken things too far. “It’s not that deep”, The Jasmine Brand wrote on social media while reporting on the track. Donkey of the Day has been a long-running segment on The Breakfast Club and usually doesn’t lead to that heated of a response. YoungBoy’s decision to drop an entire diss track is very reminiscent of someone getting especially angry that they won “Shaqtin’ A Fool” on Inside The NBA.

NBA YoungBoy Issues Quickfire Drake Response

However, YoungBoy has become known for his quickfire responses to being dissed. After seemingly called out by Drake on “8AM In Charlotte”, YoungBoy jumped on social media to fire back at the Canadian rapper. “Try again b-tch a– n-gga. And stop sucking that boy d-ck he know I’m gone cutthroat the f-ck out. Record my d-ck n-gga, you a h-e,” YB wrote on Instagram in the hours after Drake dropped the track. The track included a line about not paying taxes, which many took as a shot at YB.

Previously, YB had dissed Drake on “Fuck The Industry Pt. 2”. That song also included shots at J. Cole and Lil Durk. Cole had also used his feature on For All The Dogs to seemingly address his beef, or lack of beef, with YoungBoy. “N-ggas so thirsty to put me in beef/ Dissectin’ my words and start lookin’ too deep/ I look at the tweets and start suckin’ my teeth/ I’m lettin’ it rock ’cause I love the mystique/I still wanna get me a song with YB/ Can’t trust everything that you saw on IG/ Just know if I diss you, I made sure you know that I hit you like I’m on your caller ID,” Cole rapped on “First Person Shooter”.

Charlamagne Tha God Disagrees With Katt Williams, Defends Kevin Hart

Charlamagne Tha God says that Katt Williams was wrong for accusing Kevin Hart of being an industry plant during his explosive interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast. Speaking about the comments with Andrew Schulz on their The Brilliant Idiots show, Charlamagne explained why he felt the legendary comedian was being unfair to Hart.

“I saw Katt say something too about Kevin Hart… Kevin Hart’s come-up wasn’t organic. I totally disagree with that,” he said. “I totally disagree with that, and the reason I totally disagree with that is because we watched Kev not succeed in Hollywood. We watched his NBC sitcom, I think it was NBC, we watched his sitcom not succeed in Hollywood. We watched Soul Plane not do well.”

Williams described Hart as a “plant” during a fiery rant about the comedina. “No one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,” Williams said. “He already had his deals when he got here. Have we heard of a comedian that came to L.A., and in his first year in L.A., he had his own sitcom on network television and had his own movie called ‘Soul Plane’ that he was leading? No, we’ve never heard of that before that person, or since that person. What do you think a ‘plant’ is?” Check out Charlamagne’s response to the comments below.

Cesar Pina’s Attorney Negotiating Plea Deal in Real Estate Scam Case

Cesar Pina's Attorney Negotiating Plea Deal in Real Estate Scam Case

Cesar Pina, the controversial business partner of DJ Envy, is looking to reach a plea deal with federal prosecutors for his role in a real estate scam. According to AllHipHop, court docs highlight the work of Pina’s attorneys pushing for a continuance.

“Counsel for the parties represented that this additional continuance is necessary for effective preparation and to permit the parties to attempt to resolve this case prior to indictment and thereby avoid a trial,” the docs read. “Plea negotiations are currently in progress, and both the United States and the defendant desire additional time to negotiate a plea agreement, which would render grand jury proceedings and a trial in this matter unnecessary.”
