Cardi B Is Irate With Joe Budden And Makes Striking Allegations Against Him After He Criticized Her

New beef alert: Cardi B is not particularly pleased with Joe Budden right now.

Recently, Budden spoke about the long-awaited follow-up to Cardi’s 2018 album Invasion Of Privacy, saying, “We’ll never get another Cardi album again. I am standing on it. Cardi got something dropping with my man Rob[49], big Rob, on Friday. That’s going to be crazy, but that’s what Cardi’s about to be now: just a single artist.” He added, “I’m sure Offset wants Cardi to put out an album. Hey, fellas out there, boyfriends: y’all know that feeling, right? When you want your b*tch to get a job. You in the house, your b*tch just won’t leave.”

In an X Spaces broadcast yesterday (July 18), Cardi responded, saying (as Billboard notes), “Bro, I gave you a lap dance two times in Starlets. You was high as f*ck. High as f*ck on coke, n****. […] I don’t give a f*ck when people talk sh*t about me. It’s the fact you always talk sh*t about me, Joe Budden. Out of nowhere, you would think I did something to this n****. […] For the past two years, this n**** has only talked bad things about me.”

She later added, “You really want my album to come out so you can criticize it, ’cause every time I drop something, you don’t like it. Every single time a b*tch drops something and they doing mediocre, you say they doing better than me. […] What are you talking about? The sh*t is in motion. Merch is in motion, the box sets is in motion. You don’t know sh*t.”

Cardi B Promises Her Album Is Coming This Year, Despite Her Prior Vow To ‘Relax This Year’

Back in May, Cardi B disappointed fans waiting for the highly anticipated follow-up to her debut album Invasion Of Privacy when she tweeted, “NO album this year I don’t care I’m relaxing this year.. Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer.”

Part of her reasoning was due to fans overstepping boundaries when inquiring about it — or outright criticizing her for not putting it out already. Then there were the haters, who predicted failure. All combined to leave Cardi in a state of anxiety about not living up to expectations and wanting to keep her music to herself.

However, it now sounds like either she’s rediscovered her confidence or someone on her team checked her, because as she and Rob49 prepared to release their upcoming collaboration “On Dat Money,” she logged in again to walk back her prior statement. “I wanna say this to Bardi gang or anybody who’s just a fan of my music or even my craziness,” she wrote. “I have my good days and my bad days but you know what, whether it’s good or bad I couldn’t be happier with the obvious anticipation for my album..Sometimes I get a little aggressive because yall know I don’t like to be told what to do but I promise you it’s coming THIS YEAR. Thank you for the love and anticipation and always holding me down ❤ I love yall”

With two well received singles already released this year — “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What” — and a slew of features, of which “On Dat Money” is just the latest, it looks like Cardi is officially on the clock. Six months and counting.

Rob49 And Cardi B Get Nasty ‘On Dat Money’ In Their Assertive New Single

Last week, Cardi B teased an upcoming collaboration with New Orleans rising star Rob49, warning her fans not to expect another pop-friendly single. “I wanna let some of y’all also know that I cannot always do glittery, fun, female stuff all the time,” she said. “I’m a whole hood n****.”

Today, the song arrived, living up to her prior promise. “On Dat Money” is an assertive trap banger that finds Rob and Cardi trading demanding verses in which they vow to do the deed atop piles of cash. The video, which accompanied the release, finds the duo taking over a well-appointed mansion and filling it with strippers and cash as they perform their verses.

2023 turned out to be Rob49’s breakout year, resulting in his receiving huge co-signs from the likes of Lil Durk and Travis Scott (here he is talking about his Scott collaboration, “Topia Twins,” in an interview about his deluxe mixtape, 4GODII), and appearing in last year’s XXL Freshman Class. This year, he hit the road with Detroit rising star Skilla Baby for their joint Vultures Eat The Most tour. Meanwhile, Card B has been working on her second album, although she did tell fans that it might not be out until next year.

Eminem Shades ‘Grand Wizard’ Candace Owens on New Track: ‘MAGA Dirt Bag in a Skirt’

Candace Owens on Beyoncé’s Country Music: 'She's More Country Than Taylor Swift Ever Was'

Eminem’s new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), has many targets. But he can expect one, Candace Owens, to clap back.

On the track “Lucifer,” Eminem raps:

And Candace O, I ain’t mad at her
I ain’t gon’ throw the fact bitch forgot she was black back at her
Laugh at her, like them crackers she’s backin’ after
Her back is turnin’, a cute MAGA hat with her brand new “White Lives Matter” shirt
Or save this MAGA dirt bag in a skirt, just opened the biggest worms on the planet Earth
Call her “Grand wizard”, clan [?] grand dragon
Like the national anthem, I won’t stand for the chant (Why?)
But I can’t diss her ’cause my plans are to get in her pants and I’ll blow my chance if I answer back to her

Owens has yet to reply.

Just last month, Cardi B’s recent critique of Candace Owens’s stance on banning porn has sparked a heated exchange. The rapper denied the existence of porn addiction, prompting Owens to respond vigorously on her popular new podcast, Candace.

“Cardi B came for me again. I think it’s high time I clap back,” Candace says. “She doesn’t think about the addictions, especially for men who really suffer with pornography. I’m so glad that so many men listen to this show and in the comments talk about how much they struggle with pornography. They are more physiologically, psychologically, biologically-wired to have a response when you are producing nudity to them.”

Currently ranked #3 on Spotify’s podcast charts, Owens’ podcast has surged in popularity, trailing only Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson.

Owens, who has seen a resurgence in her influence despite past controversies, discussed the ongoing debate in a recent episode with Saagar Enjati on Breaking Points. Her podcast has dominated platforms like Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, showcasing her growing reach and impact in cultural and political discourse.

The clash between Owens and Cardi B underscores broader debates about societal norms and freedoms, particularly regarding media consumption and its effects. As both figures continue to voice their perspectives to millions of followers, their exchange highlights the intersection of entertainment, politics, and social commentary in today’s digital age.

Stefflon Don Gives Nicki Minaj Her Flowers After Beefing With Her Fans

Stefflon Don has no problem stepping to other rappers. She has spent most of 2024 going at Jada Kingston, whether it be through diss tracks or Instagram trolling. Stefflon’s most famous beef, though, has been with Nicki Minaj. The two artists got into it back in 2018, when Stefflon gave her opinion on the Minaj vs. Cardi B squabble. The Barbz didn’t like Stefflon Don’s comments and attacked her on social media. This led to the rapper claiming that she was disappointed in Minaj. If it all sounds avoidable, it’s because it was.

To Stefflon Don’s credit, she accepted the blame. She was recently interviewed about the beef, and she claimed that she mishandled the situation. The rapper stands by her assessment that Minaj should have gone “harder” during the Cardi B beef, but admitted that it was Minaj’s fans, and not Minaj, that reacted poorly. “Her fans started coming for me on Twitter,” Stefflon Don recounted. “As I’m defending myself, I’m also bringing her name into it.” This is where the apology came in. “It was my bad for putting her name in it,” she added. “I didn’t even know it was going to get that big.”

Stefflon Don Still Considers Herself A Nicki Minaj Fan

Stefflon Don has attempted to squash her conflict with Nicki Minaj in the past. She hopped on Twitter in 2022, and made it clear that she was an enormous fan of the “FTCU” rapper. “I love Nicki as an artist,” she told her followers. “Always said this and always will. Nobody can ever change that Respectfully. And hate train..I ddnt even know she was getting hate cuz I wud have kept my opinion2 myself.” Stefflon Don also reiterated what she said in the recent interview, which was that she was approaching the situation like a fan. Not like another artist. “A problem W her never,” she added. “It was fans doing the most but just know I BEEN a fan.”

Nicki Minaj is no stranger to feuds herself. Especially when it comes to other female rappers. She’s gone to the mat with Cardi B, Remy Ma, and Megan Thee Stallion. That said, Minaj has stated that she doesn’t enjoy beefing. She went as far as to say that she regretted every beefs she’s been involved in. “All my feuds I regret, because I’m a sweet person,” she claimed. “And I don’t wanna be mean to people.” She did, however, say this during a 2016 appearance on Ellen. A claim that has not aged particularly well.

Cardi B Teased A Collaboration With Rob49 To Remind Her Fans ‘I’m A Whole Hood N****’

Ever since she blew up with “Bodak Yellow,” Cardi B has had to balance competing imperatives in her music. While there are plenty of fans for her poppy material, her day-ones know her for her aggressive, street-ready stuff. So while a “Be Careful” or “Finesse” might be hits in their own rights, “Clout” and “Money” have also been her bread and butter.

She reminded her fans as much during a recent chat on Twitter Spaces (never calling it “X”). “I wanna let some of y’all also know that I cannot always do glittery, fun, female stuff all the time, you know what I’m saying?” she said. “I gotta get to the n****s, you know what I’m saying? I’m a whole hood n****.”

To that point, she teased a new collaboration with a rapper who might be unexpected to those who expect her to always pop out with Normani and Megan Thee Stallion. “Make sure y’all check out that Rob49 record,” she implored. “We been did this record. We’ve had this record since, like, I think January. I think he was actually waiting for the summertime because it’s like such a fun summertime record.”

Elsewhere during the chat, Cardi joked about the effects of aging — and how her lifestyle may have led to her feeling older than she really is. “I’m about to be 32,” she reminded her listeners. “I could only f*ck on the bed… I don’t wanna fuck on the floor. I don’t wanna f*ck on no counters. I don’t wanna f*ck on the bathroom sink, I wanna f*k on a bed. I wanna lay down. I’m 32, but I used to be a stripper, so my body is like 46.”

Rob49 & Cardi B Tease First Collab & Fans Won’t Have To Wait Long For It

Rob49 is bringing some fresh heat to market for the Louisiana rap scene, and he will be again soon with a new Cardi B collab. These two stars are not frequent teammates. In fact, they have never been on a record together, so this is pretty exciting news. This new tandem will be dropping “On Dat Money” on July 19, according to a Rap Alert tweet. The source also appears to have their hands on the cover art as well, which features Rob49 and Cardi B surrounding hundreds of thousands in dollar bills. With the title and artwork available, it appears this record will be a slick and braggadocious banger.

Currently, there is no word on a producer either, so we will have to wait and see who that is behind this next Friday. Rob49 and Cardi B personally hyped up “On Dat Money” on the former’s social media platform just hours ago as well. Cardi claims, “Yeah motherf***ers we got some motherf***in’ heat on the way”. Hopefully, that proves to be case, but fans are already very optimistic about it.

“I know Cardi finna slide on this! She always slide on her features!”, one IG user writes. Fellow collaborator of Rob’s, Skilla Baby, was also hyping them up, “They can’t fw you brudda💯🔥”. This single could also signify a major album for the “TOPIA TWINS” artist. He has not announced a tape for this year yet, but he does have several records out this year that could warrant that possibility. “Wassam Baby” with Lil Wayne and “Off Dat Drank” are candidates, so maybe we will get another announcement closer to the 19. It is also worth noting that he has not dropped a new LP since June of 2023 with 4GOD II.

What are your thoughts on this Rob49 grabbing Cardi B for his new single “On Dat Money”? Do you agree think this track will be a bop or a flop and why? Cardi B Is Reportedly Facing A $50 Million Copyright Infringement Lawsuit Over ‘Enough (Miami)’

Cardi B did not refrain from throwing the BET Experience 2024 production team under the bus. That was an unsurprising development because Cardi never withholds her opinions, so there’s a fair likelihood that she will eventually comment on a reported copyright infringement lawsuit aimed at her single “Enough (Miami).”

On Wednesday, July 3, CBS 4 News (also known as Valley Central) first reported the news that McAllen, Texas artists Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Southern District Of Texas claiming “Enough (Miami)” used portions of their 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” “without permission.” (“Greasy Frybread” was used as a promotional song for FX’s Reservation Dogs.) The copyright infringement lawsuit seeks $50 million due to “substantial damages,” like financial losses and irreparable harm, according to Valley Central.

Cardi B, OG Parker, DJ Swanqo, Celebrity Booking Agency, Atlantic Records, and Warner Music Group are listed as defendants.

TMZ and New York Daily News also obtained the court documents.

Cardi B released “Enough (Miami)” in March, and the aggressive rap song peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 — charting for 14 weeks total.

Cardi B has yet to confirm a release date for her long-awaited sophomore studio album, but on June 29, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), “I have everything planned, locked, and ready to go. Every thing I said I would do this year, I’m going to do it. Nothing is going to stop me. I proved myself before, and I’m going to do it again… now rest.”

Cardi B Takes An R&B Approach In New Song Preview: Listen

Cardi B is back to teasing her fans with some new music on social media as they eagerly await her sophomore LP. The Bronx, New Yorker has been taking her sweet time since the release of her GRAMMY-winning debut full of hits, Invasion of Privacy, back in 2018. However, even with it being over six years in between projects, she still has incredible pull. Cardi B’s last few solo singles such as “Enough (Miami)”, “Like What (Freestyle)”, “Bongos”, and “Hot S***” all have over 24 million streams each. Additionally, he influence is still there, as she recently won the Hollywood Unlocked Inspiration Award. Overall, the details on the hitmaker’s next album are extremely muddy.

All we can really assume right now is that those songs we mentioned are potential tracks for the project. We have no word on an artwork, features, a title, and most importantly, a release date. For now, fans of Cardi B are going to have to continue to sit around and wait patiently, although that is already highly unlikely. In fact, viewers of the 2024 BET Awards were hopelessly searching for any sort of clues about the tape. Cardi wore a bedazzled jersey with the number “11” on it and some were speculating that it could mean that CB2 is dropping in November on the 11th day of a random month.

Now with the 31-year-old superstar previewing some new music, the Bardigang will only continue to get more restless. Cardi B’s musical style is typically very aggressive and fiery, as she does not have too many slow and sensual cuts in her discography. However, she looking to experiment as evidenced by this clip from her Instagram Story. She asks her followers, “Yall like this vibe for CB2?”. The “Bodak Yellow” femcee lip syncs the lyrics to her full-on R&B snippet that sees her sing instead of rap. Her voice is heavily auto tuned, and some were criticizing how it does not even sound like her. Cardi B has not announced that this track is coming, at least for now.

What are your thoughts on this new song preview from Cardi B? Do you think she should continue to create more R&B songs like this going forward?
