Kamala Harris’ Campaign Blew Over $1 Billion In Massive Loss To Donald Trump

Kamala Harris’ campaign reportedly spent over $1 billion financing her massive loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Two sources for Politico’s California bureau chief Christopher Cadelago say the campaign is at least $20 million in debt after the unsuccessful spending cycle. Despite the huge amounts of money, she still ended up losing every swing state to Trump, who will now retake the presidency in January.

“We spent money in stupid ways because we had a really bad strategy,” a former consultant to the DNC told Puck’s Tara Palmeri, as caught by The New Republic. “Instead of owning any mistakes, or being transparent about the voter data and strategies that were so obviously wrong, they shut off their Twitter account and are patting each other on the back. We dug out of a deep hole but not enough.” Harris hosted major rallies across the country featuring numerous celebrities in the months leading up to the election. She also paid for several media advertisements.

When The Neighborhood Talk shared the report on Instagram on Monday, supporters of the Vice President came to her defense. “SHE ALSO HAD 107 DAYS, she had to do more. She was never playing on an equal playing field from the jump. She didn’t have an entire year in the primaries to campaign for POTUS. She had the tail end of the presidential campaign. And still got over 71 million votes, to his 74 million votes. Her campaign was a lot more stressed. In the short amount of time she had I think she did amazing,” one user wrote. Another added: “She knew she had to work harder/spend more as a female minority candidate … that’s it. that’s all.”

Harris ended up conceding the election to Trump on November 6th. Looking ahead to 2028, she’ll likely have to compete with Pete Buttigieg, Gavin Newsom, Josh Shapiro, JB Pritzker, and other popular politicians on the left for the Democratic primary. Beyonce is following up a whiskey brand launch with even more brand collaborations to spread COWBOY CARTER across pop culture. This time around, it’s a Levi’s partnership in the form of a commercial that recreates one of the iconic denim company’s most well-known advertisements. Apparently, this is the first of various promo videos they will work together on. In this one, she takes inspiration from a 1985 ad in which a male model takes his jeans off and stone-washes them with rocks at a laundromat. Queen Bey swaps the rocks out for diamonds in this one and bares her underwear as onlookers’ jaws hit the floor.

However, even without all these extracurriculars, a lot of fans expressed disappointment recently over how Beyoncé didn’t get her due flowers for COWBOY CARTER. For example, the People’s Choice Country Awards did not give her any awards despite her 17 nominations, and many felt that the people missed the mark with this one. Regardless of whether you think the album became overrated or not, its success and impact could’ve merited at least one accolade. Alas, that certainly hasn’t slowed the Texas native down.

Back to this Levi’s jeans ad, though, Beyoncé’s “LEVII’S JEANS” with Post Malone soundtracked it to no one’s surprise. “My song ‘LEVII’S JEANS’ celebrates what I believe is the ultimate Americana uniform – something we all wear with pride,” she expressed via a press release. “I am honored to work with Levi’s® to create quintessential American iconography. Dr. Umar Johnson is a very popular and often divisive voice in Black culture these days. Whether it’s his thoughts on the rap battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake or, in this case, his thoughts on politics, he’s always making waves for his staunch perspectives. But a lot of folks think that the psychologist and social media personality was too quick to hop in that conversation. Moreover, he posted a screenshot of an alleged text message that the Kamala Harris campaign sent him to link up, along with his enthusiastic response. However, many reacted to this post by doubting that this was actually from the Harris campaign. Did Dr. Umar fall for the trick or is he trying to make this conversation happen through some Internet hijinks?

“Hello Dr. Umar Johnson. [redacted] from the Harris2024 team,” the alleged text message from the Kamala Harris campaign to Dr. Umar began, sent at 10:30PM local time. “You are a big part part of the Black community. Can you help us by completing a Zoom meeting with VP Kamala Harris. Paying [redacted]. We are looking for about an hour of your time. Please advise if you would like to complete the Zoom call. Dr. Umar’s Alleged Text Exchange With Kamala Harris’ Campaign

“Peace & PanAfrikanism,” Dr. Umar responded at 11:45PM local time. “I hope that all is well. I’m not interested in your money. However, I am very interested in having the zoom conversation with Vice President Harris to discuss our needs and her plans for the Black community. This zoom must be livecasted to the national Black community and may not be prerecorded. I promise to be completely respectful of the Vice President but I will ask direct questions about miseducation, mass incarceration, police brutality, economic strangulation, gentrification/migrant crisis, reparations & and [sic] the need for a federal anti-Black Hate Crimes Bill.”

Other figures like Meek Mill might share some of Dr. Umar’s sentiments. “I wanna ask Kamala Harris questions about her past as a da. Even if she had to be tough….” he recently tweeted. “All I hear is rumors of her. I would ask her 3 questions about black and brown men going to prison. And her views and try to help her understand from a survival standpoint point she may have never had to encounter!”

Isaac Hayes’ Estate Files Cease And Desist Against Donald Trump For Unauthorized Song Use

Isaac Hayes’ estate is just the latest to take legal action against former president Donald Trump. Trump has a long history of playing licensed music without permission at his campaign rallies. Per the latest legal action taken against him, he’s played the Hayes-written track “Hold On, I’m Comin’” over 100 times between 2022 and 2024. An additional instance came as recently as August 9.

The legendary singer’s son, Isaac Hayes III, expressed deep criticism of the Trump campaign on his personal X/Twitter account . “Donald Trump represents the worst in integrity and class with his disrespect and sexual abuse of Women and racist rhetoric. We will now deal with this very swiftly,” he wrote. Additionally, the official Isaac Hayes account posted the letter the estate sent to the Trump team. The letter demands payment and for the team to delete any videos using his version of “Hold On, I’m Comin’.”

Isaac Hayes Estate Warns Donald Trump About Unauthorized Song Usage

This is far from the first time that people have asked the Trump campaign to stop using popular songs during events. Last week, Celine Dion requested that Trump stop using her hit single “My Heart Will Go On.” She also poked fun at the song choice. She also questioned why he didn’t go with a different song of hers to use improperly. Rihanna, Linkin Park, Aerosmith, and several other musical acts have issued cease and desist letters after becoming aware of the Trump campaign using their music in promotional material. Moreover, this is is not the first time a politician has gotten in trouble for using that song. Sam Moore, one half of the duo who first recorded the track, and then-candidate Barack Obama had a brief dispute over the track’s usage in 2008. They resolved it quickly.

The Isaac Hayes estate’s letter goes on to explain Trump paying $3 million for unauthorized plays of “Hold On, I’m Comin’,” is “a very discounted fee for the normal license fee associated with this many multiple uses.” They added that the normal fee for continued infringements will be 10 times as much if they choose to sue. Starting at $150,000 per use. A steep price to pay for a completely avoidable situation on the Trump team.

Kamala Harris Reportedly Denies Kai Cenat’s Claims About Her Campaign

The U.S presidential election this year will be just as much about online clicks and cultural support as it is about voter ballots and the Electoral College. Moreover, both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have to win over the States’ public favor come November, and they’re both apparently making strides in the worlds of pop culture, content creation, and streaming to do so. If you didn’t already know, Kai Cenat recently claimed that the Secret Service reached out to him to support Harris and collaborate with her campaign. While he said that he has no interest in involving himself with politics, a new report suggests that this is a bit of a misrepresentative story.

Furthermore, TMZ recently claimed to have spoken with an alleged source supposedly close to Kamala Harris’ campaign, who reportedly said that no one from her camp had reached out to Kai Cenat at the time of his claims. According to this supposed source, the Harris campaign hasn’t even considered linking up with the Twitch giant. Also, apparently Cenat was instead contacted by a third-party organization informally connected to the Democratic National Committee’s convention team. The convention takes place later this August in Chicago, but his involvement is not only unclear, but downright speculative at press time.

Not only that, but this TMZ report also claims that this third party’s conversations with Kai Cenat began before current president Joe Biden dropped out of the race in favor of Kamala Harris. Allegedly, no one from her campaign formed part of these supposed talks. But why are people so captivated by the notion of these two wildly different celebrities teaming up to do something together? Well, that’s because fellow popular streamer Adin Ross recently did a livestream with Harris’ opponent, Donald Trump.

As you can imagine, that stream lit up social media and resulted in some comical, bizarre, or otherwise controversial moments. But from what this report indicates, it seems like Kamala Harris isn’t looking to combat this with a one-to-one clap-back. Instead, maybe her campaign will look beyond Kai Cenat to other corners of pop culture, and Trump will most likely do the same.
