Boosie Badazz Blasts Prosecutor As “Racist” Amid Their Bond Appeal

Although the court approved his $50,000 bond, prosecutors are making it very difficult for Boosie Badazz to leave his cell. To summarize the case, authorities arrested the Baton Rouge MC for firearm charges seemingly tied to him flashing one on Instagram Live. While the court initially denied his requests for bond, eventually the judge gave the order- and the prosecution quickly responded. Moreover, federal prosecutors motioned for Boosie to remain behind bars until his trial. After the judge denied it and they appealed the decision again, he slammed prosecutor Michael Wheat via Twitter on Wednesday (June 21) for their insistence.

“After the judge has granted me a bond, and I paid my full cash amount the prosecution refuse to respect the judges decision to let me go,” Boosie Badazz wrote. “They showed no evidence of me being a flight risk or a danger to the community. The prosecutor Mr. wheat looked at me singing Wipe Me Down, wiped his shoulders and shook his head with a look of evil in his eyes. This is total misconduct from a prosecutor.

I need ALL prayer warriors across the world to pray this southern district of California remove Mr. wheat and this prosecution off my case. Even my attorneys have never seen nothing like this in their career. Help Me Fight this Injustice and say a prayer for my freedom tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, in a statement to XXL, the 40-year-old’s team briefly addressed the situation. “Boosie asks for prayers as he deals with this unfortunate circumstance in his life. He hopes that he can rejoin his family soon and knows that God got him.” In addition, the rapper sent a message to his children shortly after federal authorities took him in. “I wanna take this time to apologize to my kids,” he tweeted. “I’m sorry and I love y’all forever.” For more news and the latest updates on Boosie Badazz, stick around on HNHH.

Young Dolph Murder Suspect, Hernandez Govan, Receives $90K Bond

Young Dolph’s life was tragically taken far too soon a year and a half ago now. Still, his family awaits justice via the legal system. In late April, one of the suspects, Hernandez Govan, made headlines after appearing in court without his lawyer. It was previously reported that after nearly half a year of working with his client, William Massey could no longer represent Govan. “Some sort of conflict [has] arisen. I don’t know the nature of it,” the presiding judge explained at the time.

Ultimately, attorney Handel Durham Jr. was appointed to Young Dolph’s alleged killer’s case. So far, the two seem to be working very well together. On Thursday (May 11), FOX13 Memphis reporter Jeremy Pierre revealed via Twitter that Govan has been given a surprisingly low bond of $90K after months of waiting behind bars. “Hernandez Govan charged with the first-degree murder of Young Dolph,” the post reminded users. “He’s also charged with attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder of [the rapper].”

Judge Sets Hernandez Govan’s Bond in First-Degree Murder Case

Following the news breaking earlier this morning, various blogs have reposted it, only to see upset reactions pouring in non-stop. “Should be no bond,” one person argued in @theshaderoom’s comments. “BOND! Bruh, they ’bout to turn UP in the city,” another user suggested, hinting at potential chaos unravelling in Memphis as a result of the ruling. “Mind y’all he really only need $9,000 to bond out… Crazy,” a third comment reminds readers, pointing out just how simple it’ll be for Govan to walk free as he awaits trial.

Dolph lost his life on November 17, 2021 during a targeted shooting at a cookie shop in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. An autopsy later revealed that he received 22 gunshot wounds, some of which hit his forehead and back. Five men (including Govan) have been accused of his murder, the others are Justin Johnson, Cornelius Smith, Jemarcus Johnson, and Shundale Barnett. Are you surprised by the news of Hernandez Govan’s low bond? Let us know in the comments below, and tap back in with HNHH later for any updates on Young Dolph’s murder trial. RIP.

YSL Lawyer Bonds Out Following Courthouse Prescription Drug Arrest

The YSL RICO trial is still working to put together a jury. Already though, the courtroom has seen endless odd behaviour from potential members, defendants, and now, even attorneys. On Thursday (April 20), the lawyer representing Miles Farley (aka Lil Miles or Slato), Anastasios Manettas, was arrested in court for carrying prescription drugs on his person. As Rolling Stone reports, while police were dragging their culprit off, he attempted to throw his phone to his colleague, Chadha Jimenez, to avoid having it searched by authorities.

Unfortunately for Manettas, he missed and instead hit an officer. As a result, another charge was added, this one for assaulting a member of the police. Speaking with The FADER on Friday (April 21) morning, Jimenez confirmed that his co-worker has since been released on bond. “He’s home now, which is good,” YSL’s legal representative told the outlet. “The charges were bullshit. At the end of the day, I predict that both charges will be dropped. He’s gonna have a nice little civil lawsuit against the Sheriff’s Department and those deputies that violated his rights.”

Attorney Anastasios Manettas Searched in Court

Jimenez’s update also noted that Manettas is “scheduled for a bond hearing today for his client.” He shared, “I’m hoping he gets a bond. Mr. Farley meets all the criteria. The Ayala factors, which are the factors that the court considers in whether or not someone should be out on bond.” Among the alleged YSL affiliates on trial, Lil Miles is a standout as he has no prior criminal record and is a college graduate.

However, unlike bigger names like Thugger and Gunna, Farley is facing murder charges. He previously refused a plea deal from the prosecution, granting him probation in exchange for admitting that Young Stoner Life is a criminal street gang. Several others involved in the case have already taken deals, while others, such as the So Much Fun rapper, have been denied bond three times now. Are you surprised by the antics unfolding during the YSL RICO trial? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for any updates on Young Thug and his co-defendants.

Young Dolph’s Murder Suspect Released From Jail, According To Officials

Over a year after the tragic murder of Young Dolph, one of his alleged killers is no longer in jail. FOX13 Memphis shared the news on Friday (January 20), revealing that Shundale Barnett is presently a free man.

The accused criminal was arrested this time last year at an Indiana gas station in connection with the gruesome killing. At the same time, his believed co-conspirator, Justin Johnson, was also taken into police custody. According to U.S. Marshals, the former was in the passenger seat of the car during the shooting, while the latter was the driver.

Barnett actually bonded out of the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth, Texas on Christmas Eve. Before that, he spent time in the Clay County Jail.

As AllHipHop notes, a third suspect, Cornelius Smith appeared in Shelby County criminal court yesterday. He and Johnson are both looking at new charges of conspiracy in the late rapper’s death. A conviction could mean anywhere from 15 to 60 more years in prison for the men.

Aside from the recently added charges, both alleged killers are facing first-degree murder, weapons possession, and theft. Barnett, for his part, is an accessory after the fact.

As his friends, family, and fans continue to mourn their loss, those Dolph left behind are doing their part to keep his legacy alive. Earlier this month, a pop-up museum came to New York City, honouring the fallen star.

“The goal of the pop-up museum is to showcase the character of a leader and businessman, and to highlight the journey of someone whose early beginnings may mirror that of many young kids and entrepreneurs starting, so that they may draw inspiration to keep pushing on their own endeavours,” PRE CEO, Daddy-O explained in a statement.

Back in December, Paper Route Empire delivered Young Dolph’s first posthumous project. Key Glock, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Big Moochie Grape, and SNUPE BANDZ all appear on the album.

Lil Tjay To Be Released On $90K Bond: Report

He kicked off the week excited to film a music video with Ice Spice, but instead, Lil Tjay was arrested. We previously reported on the New York rapper being detained in the Bronx. According to reports, Tjay was sitting in a parked car as a passenger when police approached.

Laster, the rapper’s attorney, Dawn Florio, questioned if the search was legal. The Post reported that the Cadillac Escalade was idling in a no-standing zone, prompting the police to investigate.

“Cops found two loaded .380-caliber pistols and two loaded 9mm handguns inside the vehicle,” the outlet stated. Additionally, it was noted that no one in the vehicle “had a valid license for the guns.”

Tjay was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. This is classified as a felony. He is slated to bond out of Rikers Island today (January 18) after posting $90,000 bail.

“He didn’t get out because the judge wouldn’t [take time] to sign or look at the bond,” said Florio. “It was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

There was a gun that was allegedly found behind the driver’s seat in the back,” Florio said. She further argued that one firearm was “found on the licensed security guard. And two guns in a lock box. They started searching the car and they found the guns.”

“But the security guard, who is a retired federal officer,” she continued. “They didn’t care.”

Meanwhile, at the same time of Tjay’s arrest, Ice Spice was also in the Bronx facing off with police. She was reportedly in a vehicle with a man when they were stopped by officers. The man was arrested and also charged with criminal possession of a firearm.

Ally Lotti Released From Jail, Juice Wrld’s Ex Paid $2.5K Bond For Possession & Theft

On Saturday (January 14) evening, circulating reports stated that Juice Wrld’s ex, Ally Lotti, was arrested. Thanks to mugshots, the world has confirmation of these allegations. More details have been coming out in the hours since.

As HipHopDX reports, the 29-year-old caught police’s attention early on Saturday morning. Her charges include possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with the purpose to deliver, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of property.

Records show that Lotti’s jail was the Crittenden County Detention Centre in Memphis, Tennessee. Most of her day was spent behind bars, but at 8:45 PM posting a $2,525 bond sent her home.

The Instagram influencer – born Alicia L. Leon – didn’t act alone. A young man named Carter Jamison was arrested alongside her. According to DJ Akademiks, he’s her current romantic partner and received his own charges for theft of property. Unlike his girlfriend, though, he didn’t have to make bond and was free by Saturday morning.

Before landing in this situation, Lotti’s relationship with the late Juice Wrld led her to skyrocket to fame. The two spent approximately 12 months together prior to his passing at Chicago’s Midway International Airport in December 2019.

At the time, the “Lucid Dreams” hitmaker suffered a seizure following a private flight from California. His ultimate cause of death was an accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine.

Since then, though, Lotti has come forward alleging that the reports are inaccurate. “There’s a lot of shit y’all don’t know that I f*cking grieved through myself while I let y’all grieve and talk mad shit on me. I don’t care,” she previously ranted on social media.

The model’s social media channels remain quiet following her release from jail. Check back later for any updates on Ally Lotti’s arrest, or your favourite celebrities.

Takeoff Murder Suspect Patrick Clark Bond Paid By “Concerned Citizen”: Report

After multiple attempts to get out of jail, Patrick Clark has been released on bond. He is the chief suspect in the murder of Takeoff, and it was expected that Clark wouldn’t be able to make bail. Initially set at $2 million, the bond was later lowered to $1 million. Days ago, it was announced that Clark made bond and would find freedom once again, but questions were raised regarding who put up the bill.

A report by KTVU News also stated Clark’s attorney Letitia D. Quinones shared a statement regarding his release. “Neither Patrick nor his family posted the bond in this case,” she said.

“A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick’s innocence posted the bond on his behalf,” the lawyer continued. “Like any other defendant, Patrick is presumed to be innocent and has the right to bond. He also has an obligation to comply with all the terms the court has laid out.”

“He intends to comply fully and will appear for proceedings whenever the court requires him to do so. We believe Patrick is innocent and at the appropriate time, the evidence will reveal that to be the case.”

Meanwhile, some people questioned how this could occur when Clark’s team recently requested $5K from the court. They further claimed they needed the money to fund a private investigator for his defense.

Takeoff was shot and killed during a purported dice game in Houston in the early morning hours of November 1. He was said to have been an innocent bystander who was hit by stray bullets.
