Beyoncé & Solange’s Father Mathew Knowles Shares Their Childhood Pic In Tender Post

Mathew Knowles, the father of Beyoncé and Solange, just shared an inspirational post about supporting children in their dreams with an adorable childhood picture of the two sisters. Moreover, he spoke on his experience with encouragement and shared some of his own dreams. Since he always saw a lot of support from his mother, Knowles expressed gratitude for how that prepared him to do the same for his kids. Whether it was education or basketball, the father or two superstars felt compelled and motivated at every turn. From what his words indicate, his advice led to a beautiful family and two beautiful careers.

“We need to encourage our children,” Knowles began, who once managed his daughters’ solo careers. “I believe our young people are often more intuitive than adults in many areas. Those early passions many children possess should be nurtured and supported. When I was young, my mother supported my every ambition. We didn’t have a lot of money, but as I’ve always been a learner and a reader, I vividly recall her buying me a set of Encyclopedia books so I could absorb knowledge and educate my young mind.

Mathew Knowles Honors Beyoncé & Solange

“That encouragement to learn stayed with me my entire life during my corporate career in sales and marketing, in the music industry, and even today at 71 years old where I’m still finding new things to learn and discover!” he continued. “When I expressed an interest in basketball at a young age, again, she put up a basketball hoop with the limited funds that were available to the family. I went on to play basketball at the college level and ultimately became a part owner in the WNBA championship-winning Chicago Sky. A few of my dearest friends today are some of the most notable NBA legends in history. My love for basketball started at a young age, and because it nurtured, it remained with me throughout my entire life.

“When Beyoncé and Solange showed an interest in music at a very young age, Tina and I (who were already corporate professionals and entrepreneurs) didn’t attempt to downplay their passions,” Mathew concluded. “Rather, we encouraged them, we guided them, we supported them. As long as they took it seriously and strived to be the best they could, we were happy with whatever career path they chose. The world needs more people who are connected to their inner ambitions and passions, and are surrounded by those who nurture them. It’ll make the world a better place for us all.” For more on Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé, and Solange, come back to HNHH.

Beyoncé’s Beyhive Is Buzzing After The U.S. Soccer Team Sent Out A ‘Becky With The Good Hair’ Email Blast

Donald Glover’s exaggerated the portrayal of Beyoncé’s super fans, the Beyhive, in his new video series Swarm. Although many parts were blown out of proportion, the show showed just how passionate they were about the “Cuff It” singer. Unfortunately, the U.S. soccer team is learning this the hard way.

On Tuesday, April 11, the team sent out a blast to commemorate player Becky Sauerbrunn’s 200th cap. In the marketing email’s subject line, the league pulled lyrics from the singer’s 2016 song “Sorry,” namely about “Becky with the Good Hair.” The line was used to refer to supposed an unnamed woman whom her husband, Jay-Z, inappropriately entertained during their marriage.

As clever as the parties responsible may have thought the incorporation of pop culture into the release was, the Beyhive wasn’t having it. Later in the day, the team apologized for misusing the lyric.

“U.S. Soccer apologizes for the subject line of our email sent this morning to celebrate Becky Sauerbrunn’s 200th cap,” it read. “It was insensitive and should not have been sent. We have connected with Becky and apologized. We have also reviewed our approval process for external marketing communications and are committed to being more thoughtful in the future,” wrote the organization in a statement.”

The Beyhive is having the last laugh or last line, as the songwriter sings, “Sorry, I ain’t sorry.”

21 Savage Shows Off His Vocal Skills To Beyoncé’s Version Of “I’d Rather Go Blind” On Live

21 Savage is obviously best known for his rap skills. However, earlier this week, the 30-year-old was quick to prove us that putting together rhymes isn’t his only talent. Ahead of his quickly approaching It’s All A Blur tour with Drake – which has been markedly criticized for listing incredibly high ticket prices – the Saint Laurent Don opted to put on a free show for fans via Instagram Live, this one focusing on his vocal cover talents rather than hits from his own discography. It appears he may have been in his feelings while streaming, as 21’s song selection was a particularly emotional Beyoncé rendition of an Etta James classic that he poured plenty of passion into.

While nearly 7,000 followers tuned in, the “10 Freaky Girls” hitmaker sang along to “I’d Rather Go Blind,” which was first released by the renowned vocalist in 1968. The original cut is undeniably amazing, but for his show, 21 Savage opted to sing along to the RENAISSANCE starlet’s reimagining of it from 2008’s Cadillac Records. In the film Beyoncé played the role of Etta herself, starring alongside other names like Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, and Mos Def, who played Chuck Berry.

21 Savage Does Something for His Fans

“Something told me it was over / When I saw you and her talking deep,” the Her Loss hitmaker croons while viewers left words of encouragement (and some hate) in the comments. “Something deep down in my soul said cry girl / When I saw you and that girl walking around whoo ooh,” 21 completes the first verse before launching to an even more soulful chorus. “I’m feelin’ this vibe,” one person cheered the UK-born artist on. “Go head on shawty,” another joked.

It was certainly an unexpected karaoke session for 21 Savage lovers tuning into his Instagram Live session. Regardless, many were happy to see the performer having fun, and potentially even manifesting a future collaboration with Queen B for himself. Take a trip back in time with Beyoncé’s cut of “I’d Rather Go Blind” from 2008’s Cadillac Records below, and check back later for more music news updates.

Chlöe Shares Throwback Pic With Beyoncé

Chlöe’s been in the industry for a while, and a throwback pic with Beyoncé is one of her most treasured reminders of that. Moreover, the In Pieces singer recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and reflected on working with Bey as a child. Furthermore, she shared a picture of both of them on the set of the 2003 film The Fighting Temptations as she spoke of her industry experience. Given the Bailey sister’s performances in other media such as the recently released and Donald Glover-led TV show “Swarm,” her longtime star power should come as no surprise. Still, it’s heartening to see that two stars of R&B go way back.

“She was so nice to me and even at the wrap party she’d hold me, and we’d dance the night away,” Chlöe remarked about her costar. “That was the moment my love really began for her because she was so kind to little Chloe.” She shocked no one when she mentioned Beyoncé as one of her major influences as a singer, performer, and multi-hyphenate artist. Clearly, taking notes from the RENAISSANCE superstar got Halle Bailey’s sister and duo partner very far in the industry.

Chlöe & Beyoncé Go Way Back

What’s more is that Chlöe will soon stun fans live at her first-ever headlining tour in support of her debut solo album. Beginning on April 11 in Chicago, she’ll embark on a nationwide trek through May 3 in Los Angeles, which she expressed much excitement for. “I’m headlining my very own solo tour performing all the songs from the new album,” she wrote in the Instagram announcement post in February. “Y’all I’m so excited. See you there.”

Meanwhile, Chlöe recently remarked how staying off social media went for her. “For a minute, I removed all socials off my phone and I just turned it over to my team,” she stated on The Tamron Hall Show. “Of course I’d make the content, I’d come up with the captions and I would just send it to them, but I got rid of my social media because I realized the things people were saying.” For the latest news and updates on both Chlöe and Beyoncé, stick around on HNHH.

Beyoncé’s Ivy Park x Adidas Partnership From Start To End

Looking into Beyoncé Ivy Park x Adidas Partnership from start to end conjures realizations about the fashion business. The extreme highs and lows behind the scenes never make it to tabloids. When Beyoncé merged a deal with Adidas years ago, it sprung hope for a successful run, like Yeezy with Kanye West before current events. However, even a superstar who sells out stadiums and arenas can’t fully crack the mass-produced fashion business.

In this feature, we’ll probe into the multimillion-dollar Beyoncé Ivy Park Adidas deal from its beginning to its unfortunate end. We’ll further note the milestones Beyoncé achieved every single year since 2019. Also, we’ll examine profit margins, losses, and how much she earned versus the yield for Adidas.

The Real Ivy Park x Adidas Beginning

Beyoncé officially launched Ivy Park in 2016. The brand floated as schematic activewear for her fans, the BeyHive. With the successful turnout, in April 2016, she partnered up with TopShop. Later, the deal faltered due to rumors surrounding the Topshop founder Sir Philip Green. The allegations threatened the brand’s success and Beyoncé’s star power image. She cut ties with them and acquired complete control of Ivy Park in November 2018.

Soon, tabloids broke the news of Beyoncé’s sole ownership of Ivy Park. Many fans and fashion lovers wondered where the journey would take the songstress. However, the real worry was who would be the brand’s newest partner. Then a year later, in 2019, Adidas on Instagram teased with the caption, “A new beginning.” On April 4, a press release described the deal between Ivy Park and Adidas. The release mentioned a new vision of delivering a collection highlighting a “performance to lifestyle.” Adidas accentuates Beyoncé as “a creative partner for the brand. ”

The partnership respects Beyoncé’s ownership of her company. Furthermore, the exciting deal introduced another aspect, signature footwear. Considering other artists who have also fostered lucrative streetwear deals, it was a good move. The likes of Tyler The Creator with Converse, Jay-Z with Reebok, and Missy Elliott with Adidas.

The First Collab Drop

Before the announcement in early 2016, Adidas’ official release was set for January 2020. Beyoncé teased a few products from the collection on her social media pages. The first drop had a monochromatic orange scheme on the sneakers, puffed-up jackets, and activewear sets. The orange and purple complimentary colors underlined the fashion era of the early 2020s.

Her rollout was a memorable pop culture moment. And as the queen of surprises, she set the bar high with the first drop. A week or so before the release, Beyoncé sent orange boxes to A-list celebrities, from models, actresses, actors, rappers, and other important players. The notable ones included Ellen DeGeneres, Angela Bassett, Kendall Jenner, Ciara, Missy Elliott, Reese Witherspoon, and Hailey Bieber.

On the day of the sale, after five minutes, the website crashed. It was announced that every product sold out on the website. Places such as Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Foot Locker, and Finish Line locations also sold-out of items in the U.S. However, as usual, the next day, everything sold out worldwide.

The Second Collab Drop

Months after the first collaboration, the silence between Adidas and Beyoncé was tumultuous. However, another press release statement revealed information on the next drops. The full schedule for the year 2020 included four capsule drops. All in intervals throughout the Fall season of 2020. Also, the collaborators mentioned the drop would consist of a treasured collection and newer designs.

The “Drip 2” collection rollout started with a cryptic message from Beyoncé. She simply put out “This Is My Park” releasing October 2020. With optics on the website, the line drew inspiration from the ’80s, drawing from the aerobics tape aesthetic from that era. This time, however, the design team opted for a five-color scheme palette—a green tint, dark green, yellow “canary” tint, mesa, and natural coral. Personally, the second drop was her best drop ever.

Bey sent personal boxes of her line to promote the drop to her celebrity friends. The artists and influencers who were the best pick included Kehlani, Kerry Washington, and Mo’Nique. The collection sold out in Adidas stores and ASOS retailers. During this drop, fans publicly expressed frustration with the process of buying and acquiring the products. Some were upset with the delays and lack of availability.

The Third Collaboration Drop

Ivy Park reveals the trailer of their second drop “This Is My Park.”

The “Halls of Ivy” drop in 2021 was more collaborative than all collections. The vision for this particular drop celebrated all people of races, backgrounds, colors, or creeds. You could tell from the designs and color choices that it would cater to adults and kids. The fifth capsule collection included four distinct footwear chromatism, 89 apparel trends, and approximately 11 accessory styles.

Queen B went the extra mile to add alterations to the drop. Ivy Park had IVY PARK x Adidas Savage, IVY PARK x Adidas Super Sleek “Chunky,” IVY PARK x Adidas Super Sleek Boot, and IVY PARK x Adidas UltraBOOST. Ivy Park mastered their objective to produce a casual wear and agility collection. The masterstroke was Beyoncé enlisting some of the Adidas alumnae.

The rollout of this Ivy Park collection was more detailed and thought out. The boxes from Adidas were encrusted with a chest of ice. During February 2021, the ice theme carried on. Especially noting the ice sculptures that were displayed all around New York City. The promotion spread out in Bryant Park and Domino Park.

The Beyoncé x Adidas Controversy in 2023

Following the loss of Kanye West’s Yeezy deal, Adidas cut ties with another high-profile musician. The consensus was that the $200 million loss became hard to clean up. In 2022, sales reports stated that Ivy Park x Adidas sales declined more than 50%. The reported $40 million earnings in 2022 was below the expected projection of $250 million.

From a critic’s point of view, the strategy was way off base. The overconfidence in Beyoncé doesn’t usually translate into sales. However, the buying power from her fans is what matters. Now, Beyoncé has partnered with Balmain ahead of the Renaissance World Tour. The “Renaissance Couture” comprises of 16 off-the-ramp styles co-designed by Beyoncé.

Chlöe Says Beyoncé Gave Her “Notes” Before Releasing “In Pieces”

Not everyone gets guidance from Beyoncé ahead of their debut album but Chlöe isn’t just anybody. With the anticipation surrounding In Pieces at an all-time high ahead of its release last  Friday, the singer faced the public with a departure from the sisterly duo that is Chlöe x Halle. In Pieces finds the Georgia singer shining on her own and sharing the stage with stars like Missy Elliott, Future, and Chris Brown for an incredible debut.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chlöe opened up about Bey’s guidance throughout the process of In Pieces. She explained that the “Cuff It” star shared notes with her after listening to the album in its entirety. “Yes, I know she listened to the album,” Bailey said. “She gave me notes on it before I released it.” Chlöe added, “I love her so much. Dearly, dearly, and I’m so grateful to her for everything.” She didn’t necessarily clarify what the exact notes were but we could imagine that Bey had some valuable gems to drop.

Chlöe x Halle signed a management deal with Parkwood Entertainment in 2015 before the release of their debut album, The Kids Are Alright. The two would later join Bey as the opening act on The Formation World Tour in 2016. However, Chlöe’s history with Beyoncé goes back nearly two decades. The “Cheatback” star appeared as a young version of Beyoncé’s character Lilly in The Fighting Temptations in 2003. Bey witnessed their growth first-hand and continues to play a pivotal role in their careers.

Besides her debut album, Chlöe and her sister Halle also make a mark in the world of film and television. Most recently, she appeared in Donald Glover’s new series Swarm as Marissa Jackson. Additionally, she also has a few major film roles in the works. The upcoming horror film The Georgetown Project stars Bailey as Blake Holloway, She’s also set to appear in the upcoming musical comedy, Praise This! Meanwhile, Halle Bailey will star in the upcoming remake of The Little Mermaid. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates on Chloe. Let us know how you feel about In Pieces in the comments below.

Chlöe Received Notes From Beyoncé On Her ‘In Pieces’ Solo Album And Is ‘So Grateful’ For Her Advice

As Chloe Bailey (aka Chlöe) recently dropped her anticipated new album, In Pieces, the multi-hyphenate performer shared some insight with Entertainment Tonight about the role her mentor, none other than Beyoncé, played in the process. Bailey is also signed to Bey’s Parkwood label.

“Yes, I know she listened to the album,” Bailey said. “She gave me notes on it before I released it.”

“I love her so much. Dearly, dearly, and I’m so grateful to her for everything,” she added.

She had first joined the label in 2015, as the Chloe x Halle duo with her sister, Halle Bailey — who is playing the main role in Disney’s The Little Mermaid live-action film. Chlöe has also dabbled in acting, as she recently had a role in Prime Video’s Swarm and made waves online with a sex scene. Still, the attention isn’t affecting her too much, as she has her sights set on what’s next — which is a role in Peacock’s Praise This film.

Bailey also shared with the outlet that she feels like a pressure has been lifted now that In Pieces has been released.

“I was so nervous, and now I just feel at peace,” she explained. “I’m so happy it’s out. I got to say everything I wanted to say, and I hope people get an insight more into who Chlöe is.”

Usher Brought Out Beyoncé For ‘Dreamville Fest,’ Or So His Cruel April Fool’s Joke Led On

Usher may be the uncrowned king of Vegas, thanks to the success of his Usher: My Way Las Vegas residency, but on April 1, he almost became the most hated man in America — or at least Raleigh, North Carolina. During his set at Dreamville Festival, the “Glu” singer decided to have a little fun with the crowd.

Instead of provocatively feeding fans strawberries, the musician wanted to step into the role of prankster before April Fool’s Day came to a close. Before the audio engineer could cue up the next track in his set list, Usher instructed them to pump the breaks. The recording artist then took a moment to address the eager crowd.

“I said I would have a special surprise for you tonight, ladies and gentlemen,” said the singer, continuing, “You guys want to know what that surprise is?”

As the crowd’s anticipation grew, he declared, “Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, put your hands together for the one, the only — Beyoncé.” The concertgoers erupted with cheer as the lights dimmed. But after a few seconds, when the “Break My Soul” singer didn’t take the stage, fans grew uneasy. Usher then confessed that it was all a prank, “April fools.”

While the pair have collaborated in the past on music, in music videos, and onstage, Dreamville Festival 2023 was not going to be the place for their reunion.

Fans took to social media to share their reaction to the prank, with some even claiming to have been in attendance.

Look’s like if you want to see The Bey Hive queen, you’re going to have to grab tickets to the Renaissance World Tour.
