As prices on essentially everything continue to rise, it’s becoming abundantly obvious that the working class is fed up with rich people. Exuberant displays of wealth no longer tantalize the masses in the way they used to. Instead, the world prefers to hear about celebrities giving up their wealth to charity, and stepping out of their bubbles of fame and fortune to remember what life is like for the majority of the population. Earlier this month it was not only announced that Beyonce could earn upwards of $2 billion in ticket sales from her RENAISSANCE World Tour, but also that she and Jay-Z made history by purchasing the most expensive mansion in California history – in cash.

Obviously, members of the BeyHive were as pleased to hear of their favourite singer’s continued success as ever. Elsewhere on social media, others have been expressing feelings of disgust over the displays of mass spending, which arguably could be put toward more humanitarian efforts than another mansion for the Carters. “[Who] cares, people can barely afford their rent. No one is happy for them,” one Twitter user declared after hearing the news earlier this week.

“The house isn’t even pretty from the outside, not to mention no one needs a home that darn big,” someone else pointed out. “Donate to charities, feed the poor children, help the homeless… This is all for show,” they suggested. Others shared their opinions that the couple bought the home to help them during tax time, proving how money savvy they’ve become throughout their careers.

Aside from those ranting about Bey and Jay keeping their cash to themselves, others are simply annoyed that a home which looks so plain from the outside could cost $200M. “Looks like a concrete prison. I guess there’s no accounting for taste,” one critic wrote. “The only thing that looks good is the ocean,” another added, admiring the view.

Beyonce Brings Blue Ivy To Dance On Stage During “My Power” Performance

Beyonce’s RENAISSANCE tour has been nothing short of show-stopping so far, months after its insane ticket prices and high demand drove (and keep driving) fans crazy. Still, the superstar keeps finding new ways to not just treat them to a special experience, but do so for her family, as well. Recently, she brought out her daughter Blue Ivy to dance with the rest of her team during a performance of her track “MY POWER.” Of course, Ivy kept up with grace during the show, which is unsurprising since this isn’t the first time she’s joined her mom on stage. Still, this is a level up, and it’s great to see her enjoying some quality family time in what should be a pretty busy and distracting time for the Queen.

Furthermore, Beyonce’s family is as much of an emotional and audience support as they are a literal part of the team. For example, Blue Ivy and her dad Jay-Z watched her opening show in Stockholm, Sweden along with the rest of the BeyHive. In order to keep a low profile and blend in within the pit, they wore simple black and white clothes as they watched the spectacle. After all, they can’t try to top the 41-year-old’s amazing fits on her special night.

Blue Ivy Performs With Beyonce

What’s more is that this isn’t the only way in which Blue Ivy is following in her parents’ footsteps. Sure, she’s clearly gotten a lot of help along the way, but how many other celebrity kids can say that they have two RIAA-certified gold singles at that age? Her first was for her contributions for the closing track (aptly named “Blue”) on Beyonce’s 2013 self-titled album. Furthermore, the second is on The Lion King: The Gift for the song “BROWN SKIN GIRL.”

Meanwhile, she also got in touch with some heavy star power earlier this year- though, again, it can’t be too uncommon for her these days. During the 2023 Super Bowl, the 11-year-old snapped some pictures with Lil Uzi Vert. Given that Queen Bey performed their track “Just Wanna Rock” during her tour, the connection is unsurprising. Artificial intelligence in music provoked a lot of discussion, condemnation, but also celebration among the industry. Whether it was fake tracks with other rappers’ voices, AI-generated lyrics, or covers of famous songs by deceased legends, it took the world by storm in these past few months. However, let’s not forget that AI started making waves in the visual medium before it hit our ears. Moreover, now we have a bit of a combination of those two enterprises to once again bring hip-hop fans a curious thought experiment. Have you ever wondered what Kanye West, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, and many more would look like when they’re much, much older?

Well, now we might know, as AI artist David Zinyama uploaded various rappers aging (with help from the tech algorithm) on Tuesday (May 23). Other figures he used artificial intelligence to age include Beyoncé, Cardi B, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled, J. Cole, and Usher. Presumably, the program generated the renditions based on one or various pictures of them and predicted what the change would look like in an unspecified amount of years. Furthermore, most are hard to believe, a few are pretty spot-on, but all of them are very uncanny. Also, some commenters pointed out that they look more like other people than they do themselves.

Still, this wave of debate around AI in art, when compared to that of AI in music, is a different but no less worrisome beast. For example, Will.i.am warned Sirius XM during an interview that these advancements go far beyond just music or art, and that steps must be taken to ensure people’s private rights to their image and voice are preserved. “We all have voices, and everyone’s compromised because there are no rights or ownership to your facial math or your voice frequency,” he stated. “So, forget songs. Banks. People calling up your bank pretending to be you. Forget songs. Just family matters and wiring money. You’re getting a FaceTime or a Zoom call and because there’s no intelligence on the call, there’s nothing to authenticate AI call or a person call.

“That’s the urgent thing, protecting our facial math,” he continued, “I am my face math, I don’t own that. I own the rights to ‘I Gotta Feeling’, I own the rights to the songs I wrote, but I don’t own the rights to my face or my voice? There’s new laws and new industries about to boof. Beyoncé has long expressed her admiration for Tina Turner. Bey released a statement on her website after The Queen of Rock N’ Roll’s death.

The music world is saddened and shocked by the passing of legendary singer Tina Turner. She was 83 years old.

According to one of Ms. Turner’s representatives, she died in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, after an acute illness.

Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in the rural Tennessee community of Nutbush, Bullock met Ike Turner at 17, when she first began recording with the rock n roll guitarist in St Louis in 1957. The couple eventually got married in Tijuana, Mexico, shortly thereafter.

Turner’s career spanned seven decades, with her origins during the early years of rock and roll, while her evolution which spawned the classic “What’s Love Got To Do With It” in the early 1980s taking her into the era of music television. Dubbed “the Queen of Rock n’ Roll”, Turner won six of her eight Grammy Awards in the 1980s and even drew one of the largest crowds ever for a stage performance in Rio de Janeiro in 1988, attracting 180,000 people.

At that time, Turner had been free from her abusive marriage to guitarist Ike Turner for ten years.

In 1985 Turner met German music executive Erwin Bach who became her long-term partner, and in 1988 she moved to London, beginning a decades-long residency in Europe. She released two studio albums in the 1990s that sold well, especially in Europe, recorded the theme song for the 1995 Bond movie “GoldenEye,” and staged a successful world tour in 2008 and 2009.

After that, she retired from show business. She married Bach, relinquishing her U.S. citizenship and becoming a citizen of Switzerland.

She battled a number of health problems after retiring and in 2018 she faced a family tragedy, when her oldest son, Craig, took his life at age 59 in Los Angeles. Her younger son Ronnie died in December 2022.

“Tina’s story is not one of victimhood but one of incredible triumph,” Janet Jackson wrote about Turner in a Rolling Stone issue that put Turner at No. 63 on a list of the top 100 artists of all time.

Her work, contributions to music, and feminine strength will always be remembered and celebrated for generations to come.

On Wednesday, May 24, news broke that the legendary Tina Turner has died at 83 years old. “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner,” reads a caption posted to Turner’s official Instagram. “With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”

According to The New York Times, Bernard Doherty, Turner’s publicist, confirmed that she’d passed away at her Küsnacht, Switzerland home. The cause of her death has not yet been made known. The publication noted that Turner had had a stroke some years back and was known to be suffering from kidney disease, as well as other illnesses.

Tributes immediately began pouring out online, including from the likes of Beyoncé, former US President Barack Obama, and Usher.

“My beloved queen. I love you endlessly,” Beyoncé wrote on her official website underneath a photo of her performing “Proud Mary” with Turner at the 2008 Grammys. “I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way. Today we join fans around the world in honoring the Queen of Rock and Roll, and a star whose light will never fade.”

Nick Cannon Baited The BeyHive By Insisting That Bruno Mars Has More Hits Than Beyoncé

Nick Cannon’s becoming almost as well-known for his bad music takes as for his many, many kids. While he occasionally has hits — take his Mount Rushmore of female rap, for instance — he’s just as quick to make a crotchety comment about the modern state of rap music that proves his non-stop daddy duties have probably left him out of touch.

His latest thoughts, courtesy of his own Amp Radio show The Daily Cannon on Monday, certainly won’t help in that regard. If anything, he’ll be facing down hordes of angry Swifties and the BeyHive like The Electric Mayhem after negatively comparing both Beyoncé and Taylor Swift to Bruno Mars. A bold choice, inciting two of the most hyperactive fan bases at the same time like this.

Debating with his cohorts about which artist he’d rather see on tour, he declared, “No offense, I would rather go to a Bruno Mars show than a Beyoncé or Taylor Swift show.” He then questioned, “Who got more hits?” insisting, “I am a Beyoncé fan. I still believe Bruno Mars actually has more hits records.” Wow, that’s a bold claim. If only there were some publication, established 100 years ago, that could numerically track the performance of artists’ singles… oh yeah, wait:

According to Billboard (via XXL), it ain’t even close. While both have the same number of No. 1 hits (eight), Beyoncé has 21 top tens and 81 total Hot 100 appearances to Bruno Mars’s 32, of which 18 have been top tens.
