Megan Thee Stallion Reportedly Had A Beyoncé-Related Reason For Dropping Out Of Global Citizen Festival

Earlier this month, it was reportedly that Megan Thee Stallion had unexpectedly dropped out of Global Citizen Festival due to a scheduling conflict. As it turns out, she had to be in her hometown, Houston, Texas, to help out a friend: Beyoncé.

According to Page Six, Beyoncé invited her to perform at her Renaissance Tour date in their shared hometown — an offer Thee Stallion couldn’t refuse. After all, it was Beyoncé who helped deliver Meg her first-ever Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single with her appearance on the “Savage” remix, and performing for the Renaissance Tour in the city both artists called home certainly constitutes a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

As for why the conflict came up at the last minute, a source told Page Six “an inadvertent duplicate scheduling by her team” caused the mix-up.

Meanwhile, Global Citizen is going forward with headliners Jung Kook, Lauryn Hill, and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Megan Thee Stallion has been busy of late, returning to the spotlight after taking some downtime in the aftermath of the trial against Tory Lanez for shooting her and amid her ongoing legal dispute with her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Meg made her comeback in splashy fashion, joining Cardi B for her new Dembow-influenced single “Bongos,” which they also performed at the 2023 MTV VMAs. She also announced her casting for season 7 of Big Mouth and role in the new A24 movie Dicks, and had a viral moment with Justin Timberlake backstage at the VMAs. With a Beyoncé performance allegedly coming soon (the Renaissance Tour arrives for two dates in Houston this Saturday), it looks like Thee Stallion is back.

Memphis Bleek Had To Call In A Favor Just To Get Beyonce Tickets

Beyonce’s Renaissance tour has been rolling all summer and pretty much every show is packed full of celebs. But it isn’t just famous people in attendance, nearly every show has played to an entire sold-out arena. That means that for fans, getting their hands on tickets can be quite a struggle. That’s also been the case for some celebrities as well. Recently rapper Memphis Bleek stopped by Drink Champs. While there, he explained the lengths he had to go through just to get some tickets to the show.

“For me to get Beyonce tickets was a problem. My wife hit me like ‘You know she in Philly on my birthday?’ I’m like alright,” Bleek begins his story. “I hit all the top dogs. I ain’t gon’ say no names, but all the bosses. All of them said, you know Bleek are you buggin’, you gotta hit Jay.” Bleek is famously one of Jay-Z’s protégés, so if anybody was going to be able to get tickets out of him it’s probably Bleek. “So I’m like alright, I tried not to, but now I gotta hit you. I tried to go around but now this message gotta go to you.” Eventually, he did get his hands on some tickets and shared a picture of him and Jay together at the show to Twitter. The Renaissance tour continued chugging on all month despite Beyonce celebrating her birthday in early September. She celebrated her birthday with a special concert in LA that featured Diana Ross joining her onstage to sing happy birthday.

In the days following she took off with some family and friends to a private island. She rented out a series of villas for her and her guests to enjoy a few days in lavish, remote paradise to celebrate her birthday. Cardi B Takes Advice For Handling Haters From Beyonce

While she isn’t exactly known for picking fights with just anyone, she has had a number of high-profile battles in her past, Now, in a new interview on The Sprout Podcast she spoke on learning new ways to deal with haters. “Surprisingly, I have held myself back a lot … from a lot of things,” she begins. “You see how Beyoncé addresses her things — she does not address them at all,” Cardi elaborates. She’s not kidding either. Beyonce has dodged plenty of hate and the occasional controversy in recent years by saying very little of anything publicly.

Carrying on in the conversation though, Cardi B explains that every artist handles things differently. I feel like every artist should do what works for them and what’s good for they mental health because I feel like, if addressing things to Beyoncé affects her mental health, then don’t do it,” she concludes. “But me, bottling things inside and let people, like, front certain narratives of me, it will bother me inside. Chris Brown Says He Has 15k Unreleased Songs In The Vault

It’s no secret that not everything an artist makes reaches the public eye. In particular, some artists like Playboi Carti, and Lil Uzi Vert have created an entire secondary market for leaks of unreleased music. But one artist in particular has made it a point to brag about how many unreleased songs he’s recorded, Chris Brown. In a recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, he made the claim that he has over 15k songs recorded that haven’t been released. While Brown has always been a pretty prolific recording artist, those numbers are hard to believe even for him. Check out the full clip below.

Chris Brown was part of a viral meme that emerged overnight from the VMAs. Throughout the broadcast the cameras repeatedly cut to Selena Gomez for her reactions on, everything happening. In one particular moment when they were announcing the R&B nominees she had a memorable reaction. Brown was nominated for the award for his song alongside Chloe, “How Does It Feel.” When his name was read out, Gomez visibly frowned which the internet immediately picked up and ran with.

On a different podcast appearance last week Chris Brown reminisced on opening for Beyonce on tour. With all the talk this summer about Bey’s ongoing Renaissance tour he reflected on serving as her opening act all the way back in 2007. In the clip he’s sure to give Beyonce her flowers, calling her the “GOAT” and pointing out how much he paid attention to her stage presence in order to learn how to perform.

Brown was also compared to another legend in Michael Jackson. 50 Cent took to Instagram to share a painting of Brown being handed down the crown from Michael directly. Beyonce Tells Coi Leray “I’m A Fan” And Sends Her Flowers

Coi Leray has become a pretty significant figure in both rap and pop music in the last few years. Despite a handful of controversies and some backlash from fans for various choices, she’s clearly getting the attention of those in high places. Earlier this week she posted a New York Fashion Week photo where she’s seen hanging out with Ice Spice. Wider angles posted by other outlets showed that Kali Uchis was also in attendance. Unfortunately, Coi’s tweet received plenty of backlash and accusations of trying to piggy back off of Spice’s breakout fame. As a result she ended up deleting the tweet.

Earlier today she posted a picture to Instagram that she certainly won’t have to delete any time soon. In the image Coi Leray shows off a bouquet of white flowers she was sent by none other than Beyonce. Perhaps even more notable than the gesture is the note she included with it. “I’m a fan of yours and I love watching you grow. You’re a very talented young lady. Love, Beyonce,” the message reads. Coi Leray and Latto have been elevating a beef between them with each new release they drop. Beyonce Labels Kendrick Lamar A “Legend,” Someone She “Deeply Appreciates”

All through her RENAISSANCE World Tour, Beyonce has been captivating us with near-constant Instagram posts. They’ve been particularly noteworthy as of late, thanks to the “Halo” singer’s recent birthday, as well as the celebrity guests she invited to perform with her during her three-night stint in Los Angeles. DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Coi Leray were among them, but perhaps the fan favourite of everyone who helped out Queen B would have to be Kendrick Lamar.

Earlier in the summer, he and the mother of three teamed up for the “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM (Remix).” For her final night in the City of Angels, Bey brought K-Dot out alongside her in her iconic bee costume. The Pulitzer Prize winner delivered his thought-provoking bars perfectly, but unfortunately, technical difficulties made his audio hard to hear for a significant portion of their performance. Regardless, Beyonce still gave Lamar his flowers in an IG post shared on Monday (September 11) evening.

Beyonce’s tribute to Kendrick Lamar is just as heartfelt as the hundreds of others she’s given to artists over the years. Megan Thee Stallion Drops Out Of 2023 Global Citizen Festival Lineup

Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly dropped out of headlining the 2023 Global Citizen Festival, just eleven days before the event. According to a statement from the festival, as reported by Billboard, she is no longer able to make it “due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict.” She was originally slated to be one of the festival’s headliners, alongside Ms. Lauryn Hill and Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is currently uncertain if a replacement act will be secured. The festival is scheduled to be held at the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park on Saturday, September 23rd.

Numerous fans on social media are speculating that Megan’s absence might hint at something else. The crowd thanked her by absolutely nailing her viral silence challenge during the track “ENERGY” in her live set. But somebody else popped up to wish her a happy birthday in a much more direct way.

Diana Ross made a surprise appearance to join Queen B on stage and sing her happy birthday. According to a new article from TMZ, the reason why she made the appearance was simple. A few years ago during a major celebration for Ross’ 75th birthday, Beyonce made an appearance which at the time was somewhat rare in its own right. But she showed out for a fellow legend and sang her happy birthday at the event. That led to Ross eventually paying her back with a return birthday performance. He even said that Ross’ decision to perform for Beyonce “pissed me off.”

TMZ is also clarifying that it’s all in good fun. Lionel Richie certainly didn’t mean it all that seriously and the laugh from the crowd was warranted as he was just joking around.
