Erykah Badu Calls Out Fans Leaving Show Early: “I’m Singing!”

At a recent performance, Erykah Badu took the opportunity to call out fans she spotted leaving the show early. She had her band stop the music so she could address the attendees. “Excuse me, where are y’all going?” she shouted from the stage. “This is rude,” Badu said, “motherf*cker I’m singing!” The artist then rolled right back into the performance, seemingly unfazed by the confrontation. Badu is currently on her “Unfollow Me” tour alongside Yasiin Bey, fka Mos Def, and the awkward moment took place at a stop this week.

“What if they just had to use the bathroom,” an Instagram user asked in the comments section of the uncomfortable clip. “Keep in mind she’s an artist,” another notes, claiming that Badu is “sensitive.” “Cause sit TF BACK DOWN,” a different fan jokes, adding laughing emojis.

Erykah Badu Says Leaving Her Show Was “Rude”

The incident was far from the first time Badu spoke her mind. Just earlier this month, she called Blueface “trash,” telling the universe to “do [it’s] thing.” Her post came amid ongoing drama between Blueface and the mother-to-be of his child, Chrisean Rock. She shared her message in an Instagram Story of Blueface pictured alongside several women. Blueface’s mother clapped back, telling her, “Girl you was just calling Tyrone and paying his cousins and homeboys way don’t and ain’t nobody said nothing to you.”

Last month, it was announced that Badu would be joining the cast of an upcoming movie on Netflix, The Piano Lesson. She’ll be joining Samuel L. Jackson and John David Washington, who star in the film. The Piano Lesson is an adaptation of a play by August Wilson of the same name. It’s one of ten play in Wilson’s The Pittsburgh Cycle, which highlights the Black experience in 20th Century Pittsburgh. The film doesn’t have an official release-date yet, but fans are eager to see Badu make her musical cameo appearance.

Summer Walker Calls Jess Hilarious “Ugly,” Claps Back After Lil Meech Comments

Summer Walker has shared her thoughts on Jess Hilarious’ recent comments on her relationship. She hopped on Instagram to call the comedian “weird” and “ugly” for what Jess Hilarious calls “tough love.” Recently, Jess Hilarious discussed Lil Meech’s recent cheating allegations, going on to call him “smelly.” She further claimed that he should “keep cheating” on Summer Walker, insisting that it’s a surefire way to get some great new music. The couple later responded, exposing DMs that the comedian previously sent to Lil Meech and calling her “thirsty.”

Now, fans have gotten a more in-depth response from Summer Walker, who went in on Jess Hilarious in a recent Instagram Story. It’s clear that she didn’t appreciate Jess Hilarious weighing in on the drama, judging by the heated reply. “Jess [you’re] a really weird a*s b*tch,” she wrote. “What Black woman hopes another Black woman keeps getting cheated on?” she asks, “That’s dark.” She then calls Jess Hilarious out for trying to “link” with her man and then calling him smelly. “You JUST missed being a n***a by a chromosome lord forgive me,” Walker says, “But damn!” She tells Jess Hilarious, “you’d think being so ugly you’d try to be sweeter,” insisting that her approach won’t get her far.

Jess Hilarious later responded to Walker’s rant, simply saying “It’s only two chromosomes anyway Summer.” She does have a point, however, it hasn’t stopped social media users from going after her. Many of Walker’s fans say the comedian should stay out of her business, claiming that the singer “ate her up.”

Walker also shared a message advising people to “MOVE TF ON” from the recent cheating allegations. “It’s giving obsession,” she says, “like it’s scary.” She went on to explain that her and Lil Meech were trying to keep their relationship private from the beginning, but people still insist on picking it apart. “Every move we make everything we do someone got something negative to say,” she notes.

Cardi B Snaps On Tasha K: “DON’T EVER PUT TAKEOFF NAME IN YA MOUTH”

Cardi B recently went off on Tasha K, who currently owes her $4 million for a recent defamation lawsuit. Cardi had shared her thoughts on social media about the step-son of one of the missing Titanic submersible passengers attending a Blink-182 concert amid the search. “People was like, ‘Uh what is he supposed to do, be sad at the house? Is he supposed to go look for him himself?‘ Yes. You supposed to be at the house sad,” she wrote, “You supposed to be crying for me, you supposed to be right next to the phone waiting to hear any updates about me.”

The step-son later responded to Cardi, telling her that everyone copes in their own way and to “get some class.” Tasha K also responded, citing Cardi’s own response to the death of MigosTakeoff, who was shot in 2022. “Wasn’t she posting guns right after Takeoff died? And on the internet, cutting up not long after his sudden takeoff? I’m just asking…Everyone grieves diff…” Tasha K wrote.

Coi Leray Says She’d Turn Down An Eminem Collab Without Her Father’s Approval

In a recent podcast appearance, Coi Leray opened up about her relationship with her father, Benzino. She revealed that it was tough at times growing up with him. Coi says that despite this, she’d ride for her father no matter what. She even says that if Eminem reached out for a collaboration, she’d turn the opportunity down if he didn’t approve. Benzino has long-standing beef with the rapper, and Coi Leray thinks collaborating with him could be a step too far.

“I would sit down with my father, first of all, and bring it up to him,” she said on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion. “I wouldn’t even ask. I’d be like, ‘Yo, listen. This is what happened. I’m not even expecting an answer. I just need to tell you right away.’” The artist also added, “Me and my father could never be speaking for f*****g years. If that was to happen, I’d be like, ‘Hold on, let me just tell you this. Let me bring it to your attention.’ hopefully, he’ll be like, ‘Yo, you know what? Do it.’

Benzino Has Beef With Eminem

Back in 2022, Benzino took to Twitter, sharing his thoughts on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducting Eminem. “Rock and roll hall of fame is just like the Grammy’s,” he wrote. “They have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank.” He also asked, “So where’s Nas, Eric B and RAKIM, Kool Moe D, Epmd, Fearless Four, Fat Boyz, Lauren Hill, Little Kim, OutKast and 100s other Black rappers??” Adding, “GTFOH.”

Coi Leray stuck up for Eminem at the time, sharing her own feelings about the rapper being inducted. “I’m about love, equality, respect and forgiveness,” she explained. “I have nothing against Eminem, 25 years of my life all I know is he a very talented artist and actor! (8 Mile was great) Let’s build bridges and get over them before you burn the bridge and burn with it,” she wrote on Twitter. He later responded to his daughter coming to Eminem’s defense, writing “As far as the lil [parrot] who keeps talking about love and forgiveness. Well there’s this word called ‘loyalty’ and a commandment that says ‘Honor thy Mother and Father.’”

Jeezy Channels Street Wisdom Into New Book “Adversity For Sale”

Jeezy’s sound and style have been heavily influential to modern trap music and now he’s spreading his influence to a new medium. The legendary Atlanta rapper has just announced a forthcoming book. “Adversity For Sale: You Gotta Believe” was announced just yesterday. The book, Jeezy’s first, will pull from his experiences to teach lessons through storytelling. The book reportedly tracks Jeezy’s story from his turbulent upbringing all the way to his Grammy-winning rap career. Its press release reads “Jeezy will use parts of his story to illustrate some rules and principles he’s used to get him through his darkest days and kept him going, even when it felt impossible to go any further and the odds stacked against him felt insurmountable.”

The book was announced via an Instagram post Jeezy made yesterday debuting its title and cover. “This is for all my day ones and everybody that’s been down with me since the beginning. This is the greatest story never told. In this motivational memoir, I use parts of my life story, every step, every mishap, every up and down that I’ve gone through to get to this point in my life to motivate the hustlers, entrepreneurs, and believers,” his Instagram caption reads. The announcement also confirms that the book will be available for purchase starting August 8th.

Jeezy’s First Book

Despite all the writing he’s been doing Jeezy has still found time to maintain his prescence in music. Last year he teamed up with DJ Drama for an entire new album Snofall. The project saw the pair teaming up for one hard-hitting trap banger after another. It also featured appearances from Lil Durk, 42 Dugg, and EST Gee. His only new music of 2023 so far was an appearance on a remix of the Boosie Badazz and Kodak Black song “Rocketman.”

Jeezy is known for his various beefs almost as much as his music. Earlier this year he grabbed headlines for finally squashing a long-running beef with Coach K. Footage of Jeezy also appeared in a Freddie Gibbs music video released earlier this year. The pair have had a long running beef, though Gibbs recently expressed regret over how he’s handled some of it.

Amber Rose And Joseline Hernandez Appear To Get Into Physical Altercation

In a promo trailer for College Hill: Celebrity Edition, Amber Rose and Joseline Hernandez appear to get into a physical altercation following a discussion on racial identity. Hernandez claims to have “dog walked” Amber Rose. The discussion got ugly after Hernandez accused Amber Rose of “really want[ing] to be a white girl.” BET shared an onscreen message stating that they will not be airing the altercation. “Out of respect for all parties involved, we have chosen not to show this fight. College Hill and ASU do not condone violence of any kind,” it reads.

“Joseline, stop identifying me,” Amber said shortly before the incident, “I identify myself and let you know who that is.” “If you gon’ check me, then check me!” Hernandez responded, “You know what your problem is?! Your problem is that you really wanna be a white girl.” Amber Rose then stood up, and is shown heading for Hernandez.

Amber Rose And Joseline Hernandez Discuss Racial Identity

In April, Wiz Khalifa opened up about co-parenting his son Sebastian alongside Amber Rose on an episode of the Drink Champs podcast. “We’re like the ideal couple, even though we’re not together,” he explained. “We share the most beautiful thing in life, we have a kid. We got great memories, we were married. So everything we did was out of pure love, you know what I’m saying? We planned on being with each other forever. But, you know, that sh*t gets difficult. And I think with marriage, with legal marriage, it kind of sucks because that has to be the end of something when that’s over. But I think we’re proving that it’s not the end of everything, even when that legal sh*t is over,” he shared.

“I got her back, she knows it, she got my back, I know it,” the rapper continued, “We do a great job, you know, being there for our kid. We do so many things for Sebastian- not even just for him, but we’re such a good unit for him that I didn’t see growing up. My parents, they weren’t able to function, her parents as well. I think just that generation of dysfunction, there was no come-together. There was no holidays, there was no birthdays together. It was just real dysfunctional. That’s what we grew up seeing, and we do things together.”

Snoop Dogg Responds To The Island Boys’ Threats

Snoop Dogg has revealed on social media that he wants no smoke with the Island Boys. His response follows the duo’s Flyysoulja threatening to “beat his a*s,” after he made fun of them alongside Kevin Hart on Peacock’s 21 and Done special in 2021. “I’m speechless,” Snoop said in the special after watching the Island Boys’ viral snippet, “Two goofballs in the pool … I don’t know and ain’t tryna understand it.”

Flyysoulja didn’t seem to appreciate Snoop Dogg’s diss. “If he were to say that to me in real life, on sight I would fade,” the Island Boy responded to the joke. “I would beat his a*s,” he continued, “I swear to God on everything in my life I would. I swear to God, if I ever see him it’s on sight.” Today, Snoop Dogg shared the clip of Flyysoulja’s threat, adding the caption “I don’t want no [smoke] wit cuz,” and various laughing emojis.
