Chrisean Rock Slammed For Colorist Critique Of Instagram Live Viewer

Chrisean Rock is in hot water with her fanbase quite often, but this might be the tightest rope she’s walked on yet. Moreover, many fans aren’t happy with her reconciliation with Blueface considering their toxic tendencies as a couple in the past. While this is an understandable reunion, especially with his current incarceration in mind, folks hoped that the Baltimore native would move past this. Alas, she returned to her full support of the California rapper, and now finds opposition to her with every Instagram Live session she hosts. During her most recent one, the mother of one drew even more backlash for some seemingly racist comments against a viewer.

“That forehead and that synthetic weave you got in there,” Chrisean Rock told a viewer, presumably based off their profile picture. “Who’s eating me up? You’re broke as s**t and you’re ugly with a fat-a** nose. You don’t even -– and I know you don’t like your complexion, ’cause you look like one of them type of girls.” Her apparently colorist comments didn’t sit well with her audience, with one person commenting “Colorism on the 8th day of black history month is Nasty work” under the post below covering the Live. “Can we actually cancel her for good I’m tired of seeing her,” another added.

Of course, these are pretty extreme reactions from both sides, both of which certainly won’t help the former Baddies star. Whenever two huge rappers start beef, it’s always tough for other artists and collaborators to work with one without dismissing the other. However, in the case of Nicki Minaj versus Megan Thee Stallion, this might put many more female rappers against each other based on their perceived allegiance, which is a sad reality. For example, the former recently played JT’s new song “Sideways” on Stationhead, and she thanked Nicki for her support. Under coverage of this co-sign on Instagram, many fans called out how the City Girl has worked a lot with Megan in the past, with the Houston MC even advocating for her freedom at one point. Now, though, the Florida rapper is more closely aligned with her former collaborator’s current rival.

Of course, this doesn’t really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. JT can easily work with both Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion and maintain a personal bond with them. No rap beef should limit artists from making the art they want to make with who they want to make it with. Still, many fans believe this is a public switch-up with some more damning context behind it. “All I’ll ever think of is when she called JT out on that live and made her rap that diss track she made,” one fan claimed in a comment on the post below. “girl y’all aren’t friends she just needs a lapdog to do as she says.”

On one hand, it’s heartening to see past feuds wash away, but on the other, the timeline is inconsistent to follow, especially when compared to the 31-year-old’s relationship with Megan Thee Stallion. It’s all very unclear and hazy, but that didn’t stop the criticism from flowing in.

Earlier this week, a clip of the mother of one eating from what appears to be a serving spoon at an event started making its rounds online. The clip had social media users disgusted, to say the least.

While some were concerned with her manners, others were simply blown away by the fact that she ate from the serving spoon, and even put it back into the communal tray of food. According to her, however, the whole thing was nothing but a skit. She took to Instagram Live today to respond to the backlash, insisting insisted that users are misinterpreting the clip.

Boosie Badazz Thinks Lil Nas X Is “Going To Hell” In New Clap-Back To “J CHRIST”

While other artists start their rollouts little by little, Lil Nas X’s new single “J CHRIST” proves that he always kicks it off by front-loading all the controversy. Moreover, his song and music video prompted a lot of backlash for his depictions, treatments, and overall references of Jesus Christ and the Christian religion as a whole. This was from devout believers, atheists, members of other creeds, and regular folks alike, with just as many people from all these groups and more seeing no problem with it. But one God-fearing man in the rap game took particular issue with this move: Boosie Badazz.

“THIS ‘Whatever’ IS SO DISRESPECTFUL ITS SAD SMH,” he expressed on social media about the song and music video on Friday (Januay 12). Three days later, Boosie is back with a little bit more to say, and it seems to relate to Lil Nas X’s statements responding to all the backlash and uproarious debate about his art. “HE LYING HE KNOW WHAT HE DOING!!” he expressed in an Instagram comment, presumably on a post covering Nas’ responses. “I BET HE WOULDNT DO THIS TO JEWS [100 emoji] HES GOING TO HELL.”

As for those responses, this is what the MONTERO creative had to say to Boosie (indirectly) and a whole lot of other people. “I wanted to not necessarily apologize but I wanted to explain where my head’s at and where it’s been for the past week,” Lil Nas X expressed on social media. “First of all, when I did the artwork I knew there would be some upset people or whatnot, simply because religion is a very sensitive topic for a lot of people. But I also didn’t mean to mock. This wasn’t a ‘f**k you’ to you people, ‘f**k you to the Christians.’ It was not that. It was literally me saying, ‘Oh, I’m back like Jesus,’ that was the whole thing.

“Anything I do related to religion could be seen as mockery,” he continued. “That was not the case with this. I will say with the communion video, with me eating the crackers and juice, I thought that video was going to be the video to lighten the mood. I thought that was something we all wanted to do as kids, but I didn’t understand the reality of what it is. It’s me eating the communion, which is the symbolism of Jesus’ blood and bones or something like that, I don’t remember completely. However, the issue arises for them when it comes to how her relationship with fans and hints at political ideologies ruined the track’s comments. After this made some rounds on the Internet, the Los Angeles native actually responded to this on the social media platform. Specifically, she called attention to how they wrapped an insult in a compliment, which sullies both messages.

“Every f***ing day, I wish that [whispers ‘Doja Cat’] didn’t p*ss me off in the way that she did,” the TikTok user expressed in their video. That was the only clip of the upload that appears in her response, but after looking for some more context, we know what they’re both referring to, as explained above. “I agree,” the “Agora Hills” MC said in her video clap-back, indicating eased tensions before ramping back up. “I feel like the second verse of ‘Woman’ is great. Moreover, he expressed wishes for his baby mama Olivia Sky to get “ran over by a Mack truck,” clarifying that it isn’t his more well-known flame, Joie Chavis. Of course, many fans blasted the rapper for his aggression and for being so open about being so hateful towards the mother of his child. Regardless, it doesn’t seem like this worry fazed him at all, because his response in the comments section of The Shade Room‘s post about this was pretty light. It references the Columbus, Ohio native’s role of Byron in Tyler Perry’s 2011 movie Madea’s Big Happy Family.

That character’s ex Sabrina, portrayed by none other than Teyana Taylor, uses their son’s child support funds for her own desires. Bow Wow’s comment of “BYRON IN REAL LIFE! [crying-laughing emoji]” seems to accuse Olivia Sky of similar behavior. Whether it’s a warranted comparison is unknown, but this still ruffled the feathers of most people who came across his remarks. The two had Stone in July of 2020, and the 36-year-old initially questioned his paternity.

Back in April of 2022, Olivia Sky complained that Bow Wow allegedly had her blocked on various communication platforms. Earlier this week, a snippet from Trina’s interview with HipHopDX started to make its rounds, sparking quite a bit of controversy. In the clip, she gives Beyonce a shoutout for her contributions to female rap. Her claims certainly managed to raise some eyebrows, but regardless, she stands by what she said.

“Yeah,Beyoncé cuz she’s like the number one female rapper when she does rap,” Trina told the outlet. “It’s just one of those things like of course this is the Queen’s Beyoncé but when you hear her do a song and it’s rapping involved, it’s like, ‘Oh my God,’ like it just, it’s more inspiration and, um, I don’t know it’s just a good thing man.” Now, after receiving plenty of backlash for her comments, Trina has taken to Instagram to respond.

“For the dusty crusty funky b***hes in the bacccckkkk [loudly speaking emoji] Beyoncé is the queen of rap (when she raps) and ALL other genres of music,” a post on her Instagram Story reads. “Now stay mad goofy’s I said what I said and NANN b***h gone check me. [middle finger emoji] Carry on [hot face emoji].” She didn’t stop there, however. The Miami native went on to share a grid post of Beyonce herself, accompanied by a passionate caption.
