Asian Doll Follows Vydia Partnership With “Sky Falling” Single

In the summer, Asian Doll caught our attention with her Let’s Do A Drill album. The 21-track project boasts features from Bandmanrill, 2rare, Iffy Foreign, as well as Tay Money, among others. Since then, she’s been busy with a handful of singles like “Prettiest Problem” and “Come Outside.” Additionally, she’s also shared “Childs Play” with Dee Billz and TaTa.

Before the year closes out, the Dallas-born lyricist has one last song for fans. Along with that comes the exciting announcement of an EP dropping in the new year. On her “Sky Falling” track, Asian lets the world know what’s coming next from her.

The nearly two-and-a-half-minute-long song marks the beginning of the 26-year-old’s collaboration with Vydia. The music tech company will be providing her with “a suite of services.”

Among them are “video and audio supply chain, global distribution, analytics, rights management, payments, and detailed revenue reporting in support of her upcoming EP release.”

Throughout “Sky Falling,” Asian Doll specifically reflects on the ups and downs of her personal life. Even with some tough battles to face, she refuses to let anyone make her feel inferior or stop her from finding success.

“I’m so excited to team up with Vydia, for my next projects,” the rap diva said in a statement via a press release. “It’s time to TAKOVA!”

Additionally, the tech company’s Label and Artist Relations Manager, Sweetness, added, “I have been a fan of Asian Doll from day one, [and] can’t wait to see what we accomplish in 2023 with Vydia support on our side.”

Asian Doll Tweets Megan Thee Stallion Was “Shot In Her Foot By A Midget” Amid Trial

During the first week of Tory Lanez’s trial, Asian Doll offered her thoughts on the case while also lending support to Megan Thee Stallion. 

The “Nunnadet Sh*t” rapper clapped back at a Twitter user and seemingly referenced Lanez, saying that Megan was “shot in her foot by a midget.”

Lanez’s trial kicked off this past Monday (Dec. 12) with opening statements. Since then, Megan and Kelsie, her ex-friend and alleged witness, have taken the stand to offer their version of events.

As testimonies continue to pour in, many have taken to social media to add their two cents on Megan’s character. In a tweet, one user alluded to the “Savage” rapper being a liar based on her zodiac sign.

“Megan is an Aquarius that just sums up a lot of the things she’s done,” they tweeted on Tuesday. “& if you know anything about Aquarius they lie they A*S OFF!”

Asian Doll responded shortly after. In her own tweet, she wrote “Friend….Ion think zodiac signs got nun to do with a female literally being shot in her foot by a midget delete this.”

Though Megan and Asian Doll have known each other for years, the pair hasn’t always been on good terms. Following the Houston rapper’s Good News album release in 2020, they got into a dispute over a past collaboration.

Claiming that her verse was removed from “Do It On The Tip,” Asian also entered a Twitter spat with the City Girls. The rap duo is featured in the final version of the song.

Apparently upset at Megan for not getting involved, she tweeted, “How you don’t defend a b***h that RUN to defend you.”

Asian Doll also wrote during the song drama that she and the Traumazine rapper were still friends. She said at the time“idgaf about no song I did in my sleep.” 

“I was (mad) but ima Sagittarius we get mad then 10mins later WE DON’T GIVE A F**K BOUT NUNNADET S**T.” Asian Doll added.

Asian Doll Responds On Twitter After Dress Designer Claims She Ghosted Her

Asian Doll found herself in hot water earlier this week when the rapper was accused of ghosting a fashion designer after asking her to create a pricey gown. Appearing to respond on social media, the Let’s Do A Drill rapper later tweeted “believe what you want.”

In a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, Calia Abdul accused Asian of ghosting her after she asked her to create a birthday dress. The Dallas native brought in her 26th birthday this past Wednesday.

Sharing receipts, the dress designer posted a screenshot of the DMs they allegedly exchanged.

“Wow. This is so heartbreaking. @asiandabrat had me spend hundreds of dollars to create her birthday dress just to ghost me A DAY BEFORE HER BIRTHDAY,” she penned in the post. “Not only that, @asiandabrat also sent my design to be recreated and copied by someone else last minute. As a small business this is a huge loss ‼”

Abdul then added that she spent money on the dress she couldn’t afford to lose, also revealing that she “spent sleepless nights” working on the design in order to deliver on the diamond-encrusted gown. 

Asian took to her Twitter early Friday morning to seemingly address the ghosting allegation. “I’m so tied of explaining myself on the internet to b****es… I rather not say nun no more believe what you want idgaf,” she tweeted to her 1.5 million followers.

Clearly irritated, she followed up with another tweet, stating, “Yesterday I let y’all talk today ima tell all you b****es to SUCK MY D**K one by one… let’s play.”

After a Twitter user clapped back at the “Nunnadet Sh*t” for not being able to “afford to pay an IG stylist,” Asian decided to directly acknowledge the backlash.

Appearing to address Abdul’s claims that she went with another designer instead, she tweeted back, “Her dress was $1500 his dress was 2k b***h who couldn’t afford what ? Your rent not even 2k b***h mind yo business.”

Abdul went on to add more clarity to the story on Friday. In another Instagram post, she claimed “it’s impossible to say she didn’t know I was creating the dress.”

Posting another screenshot of Asian asking her to come to Miami, Abdul continued, “I stated over and over again that I spent money and time on the project. If I would have been told not to create it I wouldn’t have. Even after the indecisiveness I was told to stick to it, so I did.”

Asian Doll Weighs in on Erica Banks’ Comments About Collaborations That Nicki Minaj Selects

As a female emcee, there’s no doubt about a sense of happiness felt in getting the opportunity to collaborate with THEE Nicki Minaj. While almost all upcoming female rappers have shown love to the Queen’s native at some point, some female emcees have taken it a step further by shooting their shot for a feature at the Young Money lyricist.

Nicki Minaj has been very selective in who she jumps on a track with. The 39-year-old is no stranger to woman empowerment as she has hopped on tracks with female emcees, including Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, BIA, and Coi Leray.

While other rap gworls are in line, Erica Banks believes that Nicki Minaj collabs with female rappers who “can’t rap” in the game.  “I love Nicki, but I just felt like I been trying to reach out to her for a long time, but I felt like she kinda ignores me and she entertains girls who really can’t rap,” Banks stated.

She added, “I said I agree that Nicki kinda f*ck with the girls who can’t really rap when you got the girls over here who really do. Now some people might get mad at me for saying that, but it’s the truth. Everybody can’t rap. … I’m saying it because not everybody’s going to say it.”

Many begin to speculate that Asian Doll felt the same way as Erica Banks after a blog would post the two side by side with the caption, “These two girls couldn’t keep faking the love for Nicki Minaj because she didn’t give them the feature,” the post read. “According to them Nicki Minaj is obligated to give every fan who loves her a feature,” the post continued.

Asian Doll would step into the conversation to clear her name in the drama, stating that Erica is on her own on this one. “Ayo don’t speak on me including me & my name & everything I’ve built randomly involving me in the next b***h situation tf,” Asian said. “She sounded dumb asf**k we nun alike keep that s**t over there fr I don’t agree or respect s**t she said so the side by side pics ain’t giving at all bye.”

“Erica played HERSELF nun of the rap girls think like this except the person that sat her a** in that seat on that stage & said what she said so therefore she standing on that ALONE don’t drag us with this women with all RESPECT,” penned Asian Doll in response to a fan.
