Lil Nas X Apologizes After Joking About Gender-Affirming Surgery

Lil Nas X is no stranger to controversy. The musician has recently come under fire for a selfie he posted on Twitter. However, the post is now deleted, due to its controversial caption. In the post, Lil Nas X wears a wig along with a form-fitting dress. The artist dons makeup and bears a very feminine style. For the brief period, it was up, people were praising him for his looks. However, his caption led to outrage as it stated: “The surgery was a success.” Heart emojis follow the caption. Many people within the LGBTQIA community are taking offense to Lil Nas’ recent post, as they believe he is mocking the seriousness of gender-reassignment surgery.

Almost immediately after the backlash, Lil Nas X deleted the post and issued an apology. In his apology, he acknowledges that the way he handled the initial backlash was in anger. He states that his anger is not cool and that he has a lot of love for the communities he unwittingly offended. Still, fans are not entirely happy with his apology either. Many people are taking to his social media to talk about how inauthentic his apology seems. And in true Lil Nas X form, he is clapping back at those attacking his sincerity.

Lil Nas X Explains His Handling Of The Situation

After Lil Nas X tweeted his apology, a fan spoke up about how they felt about his apology. In response to the fan, Nas simply states: “Girl eat my a**.” His response is also getting him into hot water, as the musician seemingly has a hidden talent: putting his foot in his mouth. Regardless of the outrage, many fans are taking his side. Many believe that the outrage is simply part of the ongoing trend of canceling celebrities. Even members of the LGBT community are chiming in to say that they did not feel offended by the artist’s post.

This is not the first time Lil Nas has stirred the pot by posting pictures of himself, either. Back in 2021, he got a lot of media attention by posting a picture where he was seemingly pregnant. The post was intended as a joke. However, many people felt like he was making light of the seriousness of pregnancy. While it seems like he should have learned his lesson, it appears he can’t help himself from goofing around. Stay tuned to see if he will choose to apologize for his response toward critics.

It’s Michael B. Jordan’s world, we’re just living in it. In recent weeks, the Black Panther actor’s name has been making headlines thanks to various impressive efforts on his part. Just last month he exciting job of hosting on Saturday Night Live, and his opening monologue certainly didn’t disappoint. Aside from that, the 36-year-old star is gearing up for his directorial debut, Creed III to hit theatres. The film is set to release on Friday (March 3), alongside a fire soundtrack executive produced by J. Cole and his Dreamville crew. For the past few days Jordan has been attending red carpets and giving interviews about his upcoming project, as well as the racy Calvin Klein photoshoot he just dropped.

Michael’s Mom Knows He’s Got It Going On

On Monday (February 27), a collection of black and white images showing the California native’s chisled body in various pairs of CK underwear made their debut. As expected, it wasn’t long before thirsty replies began pouring in, chiefly on Twitter. From propositioning the actor for sexual favours to admitting to excessively zooming in on the images, users didn’t hold back when revealing their freaky fantasies abut Jordan.

While chatting with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, the multi-talent admitted that he gave his mom, Donna Jordan, an apology before the NSFW images went public. “I was like, my mama gon’ have to see this. Let me call her and be like, ‘I’m sorry. It’s out here.’ My business all out in the streets — literally,” he joked. Regardless if his family matriarch approves or not, the reactions prove that Jordan is one step closer to beating those “corny” allegations.

Tommie Lee Apologizes To Chris Brown Again, But His Fans Aren’t Having It

It is unfortunate that Chris Brown’s son has been dragged into social media antics, but Tommie Lee fueled the flame. Natalie Nuun and Baddies star Rollie shared the story of the group attending Brown’s show in London. They said they were backstage when Lee saw little Aeko Brown, apparently with his mother, Ammika Harris. Lee allegedly gestured to Aeko or said something about him, resulting in Harris closing the door on her. Witnesses claimed Lee took offense, turning the moment into an altercation.

The argument spilled over to another area where Lee and Nunn got into another fight. The ladies will meet in the ring for their celebrity boxing match tomorrow (February 25), and while some believed this was all for promo, others accused Lee of being intoxicated and unruly. Later, she hopped on Livestream to share her side of the story, including insulting Brown, Harris, and their son.

Following a wave of backlash, Lee returned with an apology. She stated she loves children and said, “I just want to apologize to Chris Brown and his baby mother ‘cause it’s not my character.” Artists like Sada Baby came forward with a scathing reaction, and the heated responses haven’t ended. Lee was preparing for another press conference with Nunn when she once again appeared in a video to offer another apology to Brown.

“I didn’t mean that ’bout the baby. I was hot. I was really, really hot tryin’ to make a point,” she said in the clip. “I would not kick down a door about a baby. I love y’all, I love Chris Brown and his baby. He’s gorgeous, he gorgeous to me. When I say his eyes was cocked like a pistol, I mean he got big eyes. And when I say albino, I ain’t racist. It is such thing as albino. I love the baby. He had nothing to do with it. Y’all took it the wrong way. I’mma talk how I talk.”

Natalie Nunn Apologized To Chris Brown

Lee’s latest apology also received a negative reaction from the public. Brown has not addressed the controversy, as he’s entertaining fans from one stage to the next. However, Nunn did also surface with a public apology to Brown, someone she has known for many years. Check out Tommie Lee’s latest above.

Tiger Woods Apologizes For Tampon Prank

Tiger Woods recently apologized for a tampon prank on Justin Thomas on Thursday (February 16) during the Genesis Invitational. Moreover, the golf billionaire slipped Thomas a tampon into his hand when the latter failed to outdrive him. While Woods said that it was all in good fun, he expressed that he didn’t realize how others might take offense. He explained to reporters that “it was supposed to be all fun and games and obviously it hasn’t turned out that way. If I offended anybody, it was not the case, it was just friends having fun.”

Furthermore, many took issue with the 47-year-old’s prank, calling it juvenile and potentially disrespectful. After all, many could interpret this as Woods establishing his manhood over Thomas or insinuating some gendered bias. However, both laughed at the prank, and many online believe Tiger has no reason to apologize. “Luv yew @TigerWoods,” one user wrote on Twitter. “Everyone offended stinks. There’s no way real people were offended. Only fake Twitter offended.” On the other hand, others expressed confusion over why this specific instance shook people. Of course, people draw their own personal lines, but even socially progressive folks raised their eyebrows a bit.

Still, plenty of people voiced reasonable criticism of the prank and brought up Tiger’s relationship history. “Sports commentators laughing, and the fact that Tiger Woods had the tampon in his pocket, ready for the right moment to disrespect women, again,” one tweeter expressed. “Yeah, I guess Tiger might want to get a refresher on all that therapy he had after his first wife discovered what his other hobby was.” Another wrote, “Tiger Woods handing a tampon as a form of trash talk between friends on or off tv was offensive and he should have apologized. If you’re wondering ‘WhO wAs OfFeNdEd’ it’s me. We can talk about it too.”

Overall, it’s another case of both opinions clashing strongly, quickly, and antagonistically on social media. For what it’s worth, Woods actually seemed quite choked up during his apology. Whether you took offense to his act or not, there’s nothing useful to do about it. Instead, just go about your day and keep that Twitter rant in the drafts. Regardless, stay tuned to HNHH for more viral debates and the latest on Tiger Woods.

BBC Apologizes For Calling Viola Davis Beyoncé After Grammys

BBC has apologized for sharing an image in which they captioned a photo of Viola Davis, “Beyoncé’s Big Night.” The network made the mistake during a broadcast on its news channel after the 2023 Grammy Awards. They later apologized in a statement on Twitter. BBC says that the error was not a case of mistaken identity but instead a technical issue.

“We apologize for the mistake last night when our news channels briefly showed a photograph of Viola Davis from January’s Golden Globes alongside a headline about Beyoncé at yesterday’s Grammys,” BBC said in the statement.

One journalist for the outlet added that the issue pertained to a “sequence about the other Grammy winners.” This is why it had indicated “Beyoncé’s big night.”

As for it being “Beyoncé’s big night,” the headline stemmed from the fact that the legendary singer became the most awarded artist in Grammys’ history. Following victories for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, Best R&B Song, and more, Beyoncé reached 32 career wins. She also tied her husband, Jay-Z, for the most nominations of all time. Despite the success, Beyoncé was unable to take home the award for Album of the Year. Instead, that honor went to Harry Styles for Harry’s House. Jay-Z slammed the decision in an interview with Tidal published the next morning.

“I remove myself from the process and hope they just get it right,” he told Elliott Wilson for the piece. “It got to the point where I was like, it’s just a marketing thing. You go, you got an album out and it could help the sales go up.”

It was also a big night for Viola Davis, who achieved the rare EGOT status. She won Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording. The Recording Academy awarded her for her performance of the audiobook for her memoir Finding Me. Check out BBC’s controversial graphic featuring Viola Davis named Beyoncé below, as well as the outlet’s apology.

The wave of pushback was almost palpable, and on Brown’s Instagram, he offered an update. You were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean.”

People quickly questioned why Brown wasn’t aware of Glasper’s work, especially if they were nominated for the same category. Others chastised him with remarks about needing to get into the studio with Glasper. “After doing my research I actually think your amazing… THE ORGANIZATION ISNT DOING US BLACKS OUR DUE DILIGENCE.” Brown then said that he and Glasper shouldn’t ever be in the same category because they are “two different vibes and genres.”
