Erica Banks Keeps Egging On Renni Rucci Beef By Clowning Her Baby’s Name

Erica Banks and Renni Rucci’s beef began back during their Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta days, and it doesn’t seem like it’s letting up any time soon if the former has anything to say about it. Moreover, during a recent conversation, Banks basically clowned the “Bend It Over” femcee amid discussions about what she should name her baby. “You can name her… I don’t give a f**k about what she names her,” Erica remarked. “I don’t even know why the f**k they asked me that. But I could honestly give less than a f**k about what they name that damn baby.”

Of course, this doesn’t really go at Renni Rucci directly, as plenty of readers could probably care less about what even their best friends name their children. But still, it’s hard not to interpret some sort of shade with Erica Banks’ strong words, or at the very least, making it very clear that the “H*e Please” rapper wants nothing to do with Rucci’s personal life or coverage. We wonder if this is even a strong enough stance to respond to, although involving kids in tense situations rarely ends well. Maybe this will be the fuel for another spat or the more likely scenario instead, which is that it won’t really amount to much.

Regardless, Erica Banks and Renni Rucci are doing their own thing these days and just focused on whatever it is they are the most busy with. For the former, it’s been constant critiques of her BBL, something that she’s shown off proudly and spoken about a lot in the past. For this sort of body image conversation, we know how toxic and superficial they can be on social media, so we don’t blame Banks for her staunchness.

The beef between Joe Budden, Rory, and Mal, who were all previously co-hosts of The Joe Budden Podcast, is still a pretty present narrative in all their media lives. One might think that it comes more from the departed duo, but this time around, it was Joe who spoke on running into Rory at a Lucky Daye show and the awkwardness that ensued. First, he asked Emanny why he went to say hi to Rory, and he explained why he keeps his distance with him. Rory then responded to these comments from his former colleague and spoke on why he thinks Budden is just butt-hurt.

“Sometimes, you just go to a Lucky Daye show with your girl and don’t even know someone’s around you,” Rory said of the Joe Budden run-in and his comments. “Sometimes, you don’t bump into anyone or see anyone. This comes amid continued supposed subliminals between these media rivals, including some alleged words that Joe Budden had for Rory and Mal following a conversation with Taxstone earlier this year. “I’m feeling like f**k all you n***as,” he tweeted back in June. “Ain’t no neutral. When I get on my s**t I don’t wanna hear nothing about bullying either… yall been asking for it.”

Meanwhile, Joe Budden also spoke this year on whether or not he misses the relationship he had with Rory and Mal. He does look back on their bond fondly, but he’s not interested in burying the hatchet or reconciling; just going their own ways. Olympic Breakdancer Responds To Backlash From Viral Performance

The 2024 Olympics were very special for a lot of reasons, including the debut of one of hip-hop’s staples, breakdancing, as an event. While the decision to omit it from the 2028 Games is a sad one, it might make sense to some casual consumers thanks to one particular B-Girl this year. One of Australia’s representatives, Rachael Gunn AKA Raygun, lost all three of her one-on-one contests with a total tally of 54-0. But more than the loss itself, the online reaction to her performances was so mocking, disgusted, and critical that she spoke to ESPN about it.

“What I wanted was [to] come out here and do something new and different and creative,” Raygun expressed. “That’s my strength, my creativity. I was never going to beat these girls on what they do best, the dynamic and the power moves, so I wanted to move differently, be artistic and creative because how many chances do you get in a lifetime to do that on an international stage?” Compared to other Olympic happenings, this was a pretty controversial moment overall, especially for the hip-hop community.

“I love Rachael, and I think that what has occurred on social media with trolls and keyboard warriors, and taking those comments and giving them airtime, has been really disappointing,” the Australia team’s Chef de Mission Anna Meares said of Raygun’s performance, which Snoop Doog witnessed along with everything else at the Games. “Raygun is an absolutely loved member of this Olympic team. She has represented the Olympic team, the Olympic spirit with great enthusiasm. And I absolutely love her courage. I love her character, and I feel very disappointed for her, that she has come under the attack that she has.”

Meanwhile, breakdancing continues to define a lot of hip-hop culture, and they still celebrate it as an integral part of the art form and community. Sure, it doesn’t have the same relevance and presence it used to have, but rappers like Common still get teased for their B-Boy moves every once in a while. It looks like the Olympics won’t be the one carrying the torch for the culture on a grand, global scale. So let’s find the next big breakdancing moment, let Raygun redeem herself and her art, and give more shine to the culture that birthed this tradition and the cultures that appreciate and respect it skillfully and tastefully.

A lot of people are thirsty for more Drake beef this year, whether they’re the most ardent of OVO Stans or the biggest Drizzy haters this side of Compton. But many of his fans also know to be wary of narratives and speculation that people are hating on him or that he’s hating on others, and a fanbase that relates to this caution all too well is the army of Barbz that is analyzing Nicki Minaj’s latest livestream. Moreover, she seemed to refer to “ugly boy 1” and “ugly boy 1” for working with “ugly girls,” and many on both sides took this to mean that she was angry at the 6ix God and his OVO partner PARTYNEXTDOOR for working with Latto and Ice Spice respectively.

“Yo, Nicki is f***ing petty, bro,” DJ Akademiks said of the alleged Nicki Minaj, Drake, and PARTYNEXTDOOR situation. “I can’t believe that Nicki really treats the music industry like it’s high school. But again, for many Drake and Nicki Minaj fans alike, this narrative from Ak and others doesn’t make too much sense. For one, a lot of Barbz are claiming that Nicki had prefaced this by saying that they were going to make up a fake story to prove how quick the media is to grab headlines… Which is a really weird way of going about it, but it seems to have worked if true. On the other hand, the Young Money partners were doing great right amid the Kendrick battle, it seems like she played their collabs after her rant during this livestream, and there aren’t really any valid or surefire indicators of who she’s talking about in her rant other than recent context informing fans’ interpretations.

As such, there might be at least some friction with these collaborations, but we doubt that there’s actually any beef to report on here. A similar conclusion applies to the alleged beef between Drake and Lil Wayne, with Weezy sending some interesting signals as of late. But just like with this Nicki Minaj situation, we doubt that Ak and others are accurate in fully believing it. Nevertheless, only time will tell, so we’ll see what continues to happen with Young Money in the public eye…

Moreover, a lot of fans are responding comically to a mugshot of his that went viral over the weekend, seemingly connected to a 2019 arrest and sentence. “Looking like a school cafeteria lady,” “‘I wasn’t broke I was f***ed up,’” and “My mans look like he cries easily” were among the most popular comments of the post below. At least the rapper can look back at this in retrospect, and at least it has nothing to do with DJ Vlad.

For those unaware, the VladTV host recently accused BossMan Dlow’s alleged manager Chris Silvers of finessing him for an interview, but the “2 Slippery” MC says that he has no idea who Silvers is. “My Manager @tymeoutt… It In All My Bio’s Never Heard of a mf Chris Silvers in my Life [crying-laughing and crying emojis],” the BossMan responded to Vlad. “Yup – we were contacted from the same phone number that you listed on your official IG bio. Chrisean Rock’s difficult legal situation these days is causing a whole lot of social media debating and discussing, which can range from seriously critical to mockingly comical. Moreover, Soulja Boy definitely seems to relate more to the latter of these options, as he reacted to her new mugshot with a series of crying-laughing emojis on Twitter. While it’s a very simple response and one that doesn’t really add anything relevant to the conversation, it is sadly emblematic of how some people are looking at this whole thing. They just chuckle, think about all of the Baltimore native’s past antics, and move on without missing a beat.

For those unaware, Chrisean Rock is reportedly facing up to eight years in prison on drug charges, but there are little details as to whether the court already convicted her. The Season 2 premiere of Caresha Please, Yung Miami’s podcast with interviewing duties courtesy of Saucy Santana for this first episode, held some long-awaited and divisive comments on her relationship with Diddy. In case you somehow don’t know, the Bad Boy mogul faced various accusations and lawsuits alleging sexual assault, abuse, harassment, sex trafficking, and other crimes over the past few months.
