Amazon Music to Livestream Vibra Urbana 2024, Offering Global Access to Reggaeton Festival

Amazon Music has announced its exclusive livestream coverage of select performances from the 2024 edition of Vibra Urbana, the largest reggaeton festival in the United States. Taking place at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo grounds on February 17-18, fans worldwide can enjoy a diverse lineup of performances, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.

The free-to-watch livestream will be available on Prime Video and the Amazon Music and Amazon Music En Vivo channels on Twitch. With English and Spanish subtitles provided, the stream will run for 8 hours each day, starting at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET. Viewers on Prime Video can choose their preferred language for subtitles.

Exclusive content on the Amazon Music livestream includes performances from multiple stages, artist interviews, and behind-the-scenes features hosted by Chente Ydrach and Grecia Lopez.

Additionally, Amazon Music will offer an immersive VIP experience at the festival, featuring a dedicated lounge with makeup artists, a bar area, and a premium viewing terrace of the main stage. Exclusive access to this space will be granted to Amazon Music customers, enhancing their festival experience.

Kaytranada Kicks Off Grammy Week At Amazon Music’s Star-Studded Celebration

Held on Tuesday night (Jan. 30) in Culver City, California, the event also marked the grand opening of Amazon Music’s latest venture, Studio126. A cutting-edge creator space situated at Amazon’s Culver City campus in Los Angeles.

Upon entering the venue, attendees were greeted by a line stretching around the corner, eagerly anticipating their turn to strut down the blue carpet. Moreover, disco balls adorned the space, casting reflections of a West Coast sunset, while bartenders skillfully crafted signature Paloma cocktails and poured glasses of champagne. Busta Rhymes Struggles To Decide Between Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole For Greatest Ever List

Busta Rhymes was torn between Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole while rounding out his picks for the greatest rappers of all time. During an appearance on Amazon Music’s +44 Podcast, Busta explained that Cole releasing more music than Kendrick keeps him in the race. Other names he listed include himself, Rakim, Nas, and Eminem.

“Greatest rapper ever? I don’t think I have one,” Busta said. “I could say five. Rakim. Some might disagree with me but Nas. I would say Eminem. I’m starting to feel like there some new guys that are starting to go into that list to me. I’m almost there with J. Cole but I’m still torn between him and Kendrick. I’m talking about only bars! If Kendrick was to get active in the same way that Cole is being active, it would be a way different conversation but again, I’m torn between Cole and Kendrick, but it would be one of them two.”

When Does Baby Keem’s ‘The Melodic Blue’ Movie Come Out?

The Hillbillies, more or less an alter-ego duo of cousins Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar, headlined Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival last weekend. Before their set, a mysterious trailer played on the stage’s screen for what we now know to be Baby Keem’s forthcoming The Melodic Blue visual. This morning, November 16, a press release confirmed that The Melodic Blue will be available to globally stream on Amazon Prime Video on December 5.

“Keem’s internal battle leads us through fragments of memory and temptation as he navigates the depths of The Melodic Blue,” the press release teased.

The Melodic Blue first arrived as Baby Keem’s major-label debut album in September 2021, which Uproxx’s Wongo Okon reviewed as “Baby Keem’s attempt to balance his individuality with a reduced dose of his trademarked chaotic energy.” Keem dropped a deluxe version in October 2022.

According to the press release, The Melodic Blue visual was directed by Savannah Setten. It stars acclaimed actress Amandla Stenberg opposite Keem, Shakira Ja’nai Paye, Francis Lovehall, and Séréna Sy. The visual presented by Eerie Times, pgLang, and Amazon Music was co-executive produced Keem, Kendrick Lamar, and Dave Free. Jamie Rabineau and Cornell Brown are also credited producers.

In September 2021, Baby Keem released his major-label debut album, The Melodic Blue. A deluxe version followed in October 2022. And Keem still isn’t finished with The Melodic Blue, as an accompanying visual was announced today (November 16).

As per a press release, The Melodic Blue visual will be presented by Eerie Times, pgLang, and Amazon Music to stream globally on Amazon Prime Video on December 5. Last Saturday, November 11, The Hillbillies — comprised of Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar — headlined Tyler The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival (newly labeled “The Best Festival In America” by Uproxx’s Aaron Williams and Philip Cosores). Before the set’s start, a trailer for Keem’s The Melodic Blue visual played.

Someone in attendance captured the trailer on video, later circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter).

How To Save Songs From TikTok Videos Directly To Spotify And Apple Music

The connection between TikTok and music has always been strong, from the Musical.ly merger in 2017 to the platform being used as a music promotion tool today. Now, TikTok has made it easier for fans to keep track of songs they hear on TikTok outside of the app: As TechChrunch notes, the platform has launched a new feature that allows users to save songs from TikTok videos to their accounts on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

The feature, dubbed “Add To Music App,” was introduced in a TikTok press release shared today (November 14). It notes in part:

“The feature will appear as a button that says Add Song next to a track name at the bottom of a TikTok video in the For You Feed, inviting users to save the song to the music streaming service of their choice. The first time a user presses the Add Song button, they can choose to save it to their preferred music streaming service.

The track will then be saved to a default playlist in the preferred music streaming service, but users can also choose to add the track to a new playlist or an existing playlist that they have created. Following the first use of the Add to Music App feature, the music app selected will then become the default music streaming service for future track saves, although users can select to change the default music streaming service at any time under settings. Users can also use the Add to Music App feature from an artist’s Sound Detail Page.”

Don’t feel too bad if you didn’t get tickets for Tyler The Creator’s 2023 Camp Flog Gnaw Festival this weekend. As it turns out, you’ll still be able to catch many of the performances from the comfort of your couch thanks to Amazon Music. Amazon will once again be streaming one of our favorite fests, announcing two streaming channels that will bring Tyler’s set and others to the device of your choice. Amazon has streamed J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival since 2022 along with several other individual concerts like ones from Vince Staples and Kendrick Lamar.

You can catch the live stream beginning at 3 pm PT on Prime Video, as well as the Amazon Music and Camp Flog Gnaw Twitch channels. After months of waiting, Doja Cat’s The Scarlet Tour will launch Tuesday, October 31. The “Paint The Town Red” rapper’s performances at the 2023 VMAs gave fans a taste of what they should expect when she stops at a nearby city. Ahead of the launch date, Doja has teamed up with Amazon Music for an exclusive merch drop made for the tour.

The company revealed the partnership earlier Monday. The line features several clothing items, including a hooded sweatshirt, t-shirt, crop top, sweatpants, socks, hats, and more in varying colors. With the expectation of the hoodie, none of the pieces in the Amazon Music drop will be made available on-site during Doja’s tour stops. The company revealed that a separate collection will be accessible in person at each venue.

Doja’s finalized Scarlet album cover is one of the central visual elements. But in typical Doja nature, she wanted to spice things up by adding a layer of humor, with one of the pieces of merch features imagery poking fun at online claims that she’s a member of the Illuminati.
