The Hillbillies, more or less an alter-ego duo of cousins Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar, headlined Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival last weekend. Before their set, a mysterious trailer played on the stage’s screen for what we now know to be Baby Keem’s forthcoming The Melodic Blue visual. This morning, November 16, a press release confirmed that The Melodic Blue will be available to globally stream on Amazon Prime Video on December 5.
“Keem’s internal battle leads us through fragments of memory and temptation as he navigates the depths of The Melodic Blue,” the press release teased.
The Melodic Blue first arrived as Baby Keem’s major-label debut album in September 2021, which Uproxx’s Wongo Okon reviewed as “Baby Keem’s attempt to balance his individuality with a reduced dose of his trademarked chaotic energy.” Keem dropped a deluxe version in October 2022.
According to the press release, The Melodic Blue visual was directed by Savannah Setten. It stars acclaimed actress Amandla Stenberg opposite Keem, Shakira Ja’nai Paye, Francis Lovehall, and Séréna Sy. The visual presented by Eerie Times, pgLang, and Amazon Music was co-executive produced Keem, Kendrick Lamar, and Dave Free. Jamie Rabineau and Cornell Brown are also credited producers.
As per a press release, The Melodic Blue visual will be presented by Eerie Times, pgLang, and Amazon Music to stream globally on Amazon Prime Video on December 5. Information is sparse, other than the fact that it stars acclaimed actress Amandla Stenberg. “Keem’s internal battle leads us through fragments of memory and temptation as he navigates the depths of The Melodic Blue,” the press release teases.
Last Saturday, November 11, The Hillbillies — comprised of Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar — headlined Tyler The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival (newly labeled “The Best Festival In America” by Uproxx’s Aaron Williams and Philip Cosores). Before the set’s start, a trailer for Keem’s The Melodic Blue visual played.
Someone in attendance captured the trailer on video, later circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Along with Stenberg, the Savannah Setten-directed visual will co-star Baby Keem, Shakira Janai Paye, Francis Lovehall, and Séréna Sy. The press release confirms that it was co-executive produced by Keem, Kendrick Lamar, and Dave Free. Jamie Rabineau and Cornell Brown are also credited producers.
The connection between TikTok and music has always been strong, from the Musical.ly merger in 2017 to the platform being used as a music promotion tool today. Now, TikTok has made it easier for fans to keep track of songs they hear on TikTok outside of the app: As TechChrunch notes, the platform has launched a new feature that allows users to save songs from TikTok videos to their accounts on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
The feature, dubbed “Add To Music App,” was introduced in a TikTok press release shared today (November 14). It notes in part:
“The feature will appear as a button that says Add Song next to a track name at the bottom of a TikTok video in the For You Feed, inviting users to save the song to the music streaming service of their choice. The first time a user presses the Add Song button, they can choose to save it to their preferred music streaming service.
The track will then be saved to a default playlist in the preferred music streaming service, but users can also choose to add the track to a new playlist or an existing playlist that they have created. Following the first use of the Add to Music App feature, the music app selected will then become the default music streaming service for future track saves, although users can select to change the default music streaming service at any time under settings. Users can also use the Add to Music App feature from an artist’s Sound Detail Page.”
Add To Music App is being rolled out to users in the US and UK, while users in other areas are set to get the feature later on. Learn more about Add To Music App here.

After months of waiting, Doja Cat’sThe Scarlet Tourwill launch Tuesday, October 31. The “Paint The Town Red” rapper’s performances at the 2023 VMAs gave fans a taste of what they should expect when she stops at a nearby city. Ahead of the launch date, Doja has teamed up with Amazon Music for an exclusive merch drop made for the tour.
The company revealed the partnership earlier Monday. The line features several clothing items, including a hooded sweatshirt, t-shirt, crop top, sweatpants, socks, hats, and more in varying colors. The company revealed that a separate collection will be accessible in person at each venue.
Doja’s finalized Scarletalbum cover is one of the central visual elements. But in typical Doja nature, she wanted to spice things up by adding a layer of humor, with one of the pieces of merch features imagery poking fun at online claims that she’s a member of the Illuminati.
The Doja Cat and Amazon Music merch for The Scarlet Tour is available for purchase now. Prices range from $25 to $120. Find more information here. Preview the line below.
Last night, Metro Boomin took the stage for his eagerly-anticipated “Amazon Music Live” show in LA. He performed for almost an hour and a half, bringing out various special guests to join him. He invited Nav and Post Malone out at different points in his set, and even later welcomed Offset to the stage. Offset just dropped off his second solo album today, Set It Off.
Ahead of the release, Offset described Set It Offas his first solid effort as a solo artist, and so far, fans aren’t disappointed. The album is jam-packed with high-profile features from the likes of Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Latto, Young Nudy, and more. The artist’s wife, Cardi B, is also featured on two songs.
Metro Boomin And Offset Team Up For “Amazon Music Live” Concert
During Offset’s appearance, he provided fans with the Migos hit “Bad and Boujee,” as well as a track from his joint album with Metro and 21 Savage Without Warning, “Ric Flair Drip.” Of course, he also performed a couple of songs from his new LP, building further anticipation for today’s drop. He performed “Fan,” which he unveiled last month, as well as “Night Vision.” Fans were glad to hear the Migos classic from the father of five, particularly after learning that he and Quavo are back on good terms recently.
During his appearance on The Breakfast Club this week, Offset explained how he and Quavo were able to set their differences aside to pay tribute to Takeoff at the BET Awards. “That’s my brother at the end of the day,” he explained. “We good though, bro, we just linked up in Paris.” Offset says that even amid his solo endeavors, he “still [feels Takeoff’s] presence and his energy.” What do you think of Offset joining Metro Boomin for his “Amazon Music Live” performance? If you’re an old-school ’90s East Coast hip-hop head, odds are you’ve already seen Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and De La Soul perform live. After all, this legendary group of artists came together for their N.Y. State Of Mind tour across North America, Europe, and Australia, and their Seattle show at the Climate Pledge Arena on next Wednesday (October 18) will be very special. Well, it’ll be special for all the reasons their shows are already so stellar, but for this unable to attend or those who haven’t seen these MCs onstage, this will catch their eye. Amazon Music will stream the show in full, they announced today (Thursday, October 12) as part of their 50 & Forever celebration of rap music.
Furthermore, these artists kept up this run of shows from 2022 all the way to now, which is incredibly impressive. As such, if you missed them, there’s no doubt that you will enjoy this livestream. Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and De La Soul are set to hit the stage on the 18th at 8PM PDT, with Amazon’s Rotation Roundtable hip-hop talk show streaming right before at 7PM PDT. If you’re wondering how to stream the concert, it will be available on Twitch and on Prime Video.
Posdnuos Of De La Soul Performs At The N.Y State Of Mind Tour In Nashville
Of course, this can’t compare to the experience of witnessing these New York rap legends live, but the stream will still convey a lot of that energy. Each rapper runs through their verses with ease, cover plenty of their eras, and keep up with the crowd’s energy. If nothing else, it’s just incredible to see how the years haven’t aged these performers one bit, as they remain as passionate and skilled as ever. It’s also quite the heartening and emotional live performance, not just because of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, but because of the recent passing of De La Soul member Trugoy The Dove.
Meanwhile, it’s incredible that amid this trek, Nas was still able to deliver some heat with his Hit-Boy collaborative albums. Overall, this is something that any rap fan can watch an appreciate from the comfort of their homes now. So save the date, read up on their lyrics, and get ready for a throwback like no other. Recently, Lil Durk teamed up with Machine Gun Kelly to perform his 2020 track “The Voice” live. The performance was part of the second season of Amazon Music Live, and took place in L.A. last week. In clips making their rounds online, MGK can be seen shredding on an electric guitar as Durk spits lyrics to the heartfelt track.
Amazon Music Live, hosted by 2 Chainz, will also feature performances from Metro Boomin, Latto, and more in coming weeks. Durk bringing MGK out for the show wasn’t the only moving live moment the Chicago-born performer’s had recently, however. Last week, he also surprised his hometown fans at Soldier Field, putting on a surprise halftime show at the Chicago Fire’s home game with local children.
The performer can be seen performing his hit song “All My Life” as the kids dance and sing along. From the looks of things, the sold-out crowd was having a blast. The Chicago Fire beat Inter Miami 4-1, though some fans were disappointed that Lionel Messi sat the game out due to an injury.
At the game, Durk also revealed that he’d be sending 30 students to Harvard next spring. The investment is part of his foundation, Neighborhood Heroes, which strives to make positive change in local communities. The artist spoke with NBC about his intentions, revealing that he’s just looking to provide opportunities that he wasn’t so fortunate to have growing up. He explained that he wasn’t able to graduate himself, and now that he’s got the resources to do so, he wants to “take it to the next level” with young people in Chicago.
