Lil Yachty Fires Back At Critics Accusing Him Of Biting Playboi Carti’s Flow

Earlier this week, Kai Cenat previewed a new Lil Yachty track during a livestream, giving his fans a taste of what’s to come. Unfortunately, however, some listeners have been less than impressed, and have even started to accuse the performer of jacking Playboi Carti’s style. Aside from the flow-stealing allegations, Lil Yachty is also being called out for what critics call a lackluster beat.

Amid all of the backlash, Lil Yachty hopped on Twitter/X to fire back, coming to his own defense. He responded to one user’s comment on Kai Cenat’s preview, writing, “Carti can’t try 1 new sound without rappers immediately biting him, he’s generational.” The Georgia-born performer made it clear he didn’t appreciate the attack. “Biting him?” he asked. “How did i bite him? the beat? if that’s the case i been workin with cardo since 2019-2020 on record yall fans be smoking the strongest d*ck.”

“The song is terrible,” the critic then replied. “The beat is a ‘H00DBYAIR’-type beat. Your flow is an obvious attempt at a Carti flow, and you used a ‘what’ ad-lib in the same cadence [that] Carti uses.” Unfortunately, Playboi Carti isn’t the only fellow MC Lil Yachty’s been accused of copying as of late. After he teased his new track “Swing My Way” this week, fans had mixed reactions, though many agreed it was reminiscent of Veeze. While some think the track isn’t nearly as groundbreaking as they’d hoped, others are eager to hear it in full, and already predicting it could become the “song of the summer.”

Soulja Boy Threatens To Sue Woman Claiming To Be His Baby Mama

Earlier this week, a woman named Lindsay Reid hopped online to share a message with Soulja Boy, which he responded to with a legal threat. In a TikTok, Reid accused Soulja Boy of being the father of her daughter and refusing to be there for the child physically or financially. Allegedly, she told the rapper she was expecting in January of last year, and he’s yet to show his face.

Reid also alleges that he threatened to post an explicit video of her on social media, and later sent her a screenshot of it demanding that she unblock him. “I’ve given you more than enough time,” she says in her TikTok, “I’ve been lenient with you.” Reid went on to read messages she allegedly sent to Soulja Boy, offering to work out a financial agreement outside of court. Now, however, she’s seeking child support.

Soon after she put the “Crank That” performer on blast, he issued a response, making it clear that he didn’t appreciate the allegations. He took to social media to show off legal documents that stated their child support case was closed. Moreover, he insists the child isn’t even his, and threatened to take legal action against Reid for dragging him publicly.

“You want to play on this internet,” he says in a new video before going into the info listed in the legal docs. “Now I’m about to sue you and every goddamn blog that posted this sh*t for defamation of character.”

Considering some of the recent allegations made against Diddy, it’s become an arguably bad look to have been spotted at one of his infamous parties. There’s been plenty of chatter surrounding the kinds of things that take place at said gatherings, though none of it has been confirmed. This week, Gillie Da Kid decided to hop online to implicate one of his closest confidants, and first cousin, Wallo267.

Yesterday, Gillie posted an old photo of the Bad Boy Records founder partying with none other than R. Kelly. In the background, a bald, unidentifiable man is seen lingering nearby. Of course, Gillie took the opportunity to joke that it was Wallo, though the latter fervently denies this.

“What is @wallo267 doing in the back [facepalm emoji],” Gillie captioned the photo. “U said u don’t party #PartyAnimal.” Countless fans and peers found the post hilarious, flooding the rapper and podcast host’s comments section with laughing emojis. According to Wallo, however, there’s no possibility that the man in the photo is him. He promptly chimed in with a rock-solid alibi. “Hold up cuz I was in prison ain’t the time, don’t even try it!” he responded. “Shaggy ‘it wasn’t me.’”

Gillie and Wallo aren’t the only ones to joke about Diddy’s parties as of late, however. 50 Cent Embezzlement Accusations: Rapper Wants Beam Suntory To Pay Up ASAP

50 Cent hasn’t taken his foot off of Diddy’s neck, but the “Candy Shop” hitmaker is putting more of his attention toward another of his enemies at this time. As AllHipHop reports, he’s feeling particularly scorned by multi-billion-dollar spirits company Beam Suntory, whom Fif has accused of embezzling him out of millions by nearly putting an end to his own alcoholic endeavour, Sire Spirits. On Monday (March 11), the multi-talent sent out a warning via Instagram making it clear that he’s coming for money from Beam, and he wants it ASAP.

“Here is a clearer version of the news, @beamsuntory @jimbeamofficial. I’m not the guy you want to get started,” Curtis Jackson captioned a clip from Fox5. “In the nicest way, I’m gonna need my money by Monday,” he added. “These big companies think they can get away with anything. It has cost me millions in legal fees. They are gonna find out I’m not the one you want to play with.”

Jackson’s complaint was filed with the New York State Supreme Court. In his documents, the father of two says Beam is complicit in a kickback scheme, overcharging (an estimated $6 million plus) Sire Spirits for the liquor they supplied before splitting the difference with the defendants. According to Fif’s attorney, Chief Commercial Officer Julious Grant “facilitated the entire fraud.” Previously, Sire’s former director of Brand Management, Mitchell Green, pled guilty to wire fraud for his role in the alleged scheme. After embezzling over $2 million from employers, he paid more than $6 million in damages.

As he navigates his legal woes with Beam Suntory, 50 Cent at least has some good news to celebrate. Fortunately, Tokyo came through over the weekend, hitting Instagram Live to share her thoughts on the track with supporters. Almost immediately, the reality star and mother to Blac Chyna grew suspicious, and developed a theory that some shade was thrown her way. According to her, the apparent jab must be an attempt on Cardi’s part to get her to promote the song.

The personality has made it clear on various occasions that she isn’t a fan of the Compton native, and continues to throw shade online, despite the divorce being settled for good. Most recently, she took to Instagram Live to rant about Bambi, accusing her of lying about her age and even obtaining her birth certificate to back up her claims.

Momma Dee didn’t stop there, however. Elsewhere in the livestream, she alleged that Bambi and her mother were guilty of credit card fraud. She even claimed that they were sent to jail for it multiple times. “Her and her momma have been in and out of jail for credit card fraud, fake IDs,” she said. “When I heard her say on her Instagram that somebody stole her card and that they went to somebody and bought clothes, I said ‘Oh, she’s trying to fill a store up.’”

Eventually, Lil Scrappy joined her on live, claiming that he doesn’t “condone” his mother and Bambi going “back and forth.”

“The only time I speak is when I see shawty lying on me,” he also said. During a recent episode of Collect Call With Suge Knight, he claimed to have the inside scoop on Russell Simmons and Andre Harrell, suggesting that the nature of their relationship was more than what people have been made to believe. According to Knight, the two of them were actually “lovers.”

“Andre Harrell and Russell Simmons – everybody know,” Knight explained. “They might not wanna say it, [but] they know they was lovers. They participated in those types of things. Now, once again, a person has the right to be whatever they wanna be. But own it!”

Jacob Elordi Accused Of Assaulting Radio Producer For Bad Joke

Jacob Elordi recently received assault accusations from a radio producer in Australia, which led to a full-on investigation from New South Wales’ police department. Moreover, according to Variety, this claim comes from producer Joshua Fox, who works on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS FM. His account, shared on the program’s most recent broadcast, is that he ran into the actor at a Sydney hotel and jokingly asked him for his bathwater to give to colleague Jackie O, a reference to his recent appearance in the film Saltburn that received multiple Golden Globes nominations this year. However, an important element of this story is that Fox filmed him during this, and he requested that he stop and get rid of relevant clips.

“‘I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now, and this is the only evidence,’” Fox seemingly recalled telling Jacob Elordi. “And then Jacob kind of just flips, and he kind of pushes me against the wall, and his hands are on my throat.” This is all speculative and based on accusations at press time, and the police investigation will likely yield more solid results. For now, though, the Euphoria star is in pretty hot water, and we’re waiting on more solid accounts to confirm or deny this.

Furthermore, New South Wales Police issued a statement on the matter of Jacob Elordi. “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” they expressed regarding Olivia Jade Giannulli’s ex. “Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. According to him, he paid the rapper to appear on his track “Can’t Pay For It,” but the verse he provided was also sold to someone else. The verse is featured in Fastmoney Ant’s track “All I Want” too, and Finesse2tymes even appeared in music videos for each of the songs.

For obvious reasons, TG Kommas is pretty fed up, and decided to issue a PSA to all of his fellow independent artists. “Do not spend your money with these b*tch a** n***as, man,” he explains. “Cuz they will do some funky b*tch a** sh*t and then act like they so business.”
