A$AP Rocky Details “Heavy Hitter” Features On Forthcoming Album

A$AP Rocky is on pace to release his forthcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb later this year. Though he hasn’t confirmed a release date, he blessed fans with a new single this morning titled, “Same Problems.” The song includes additional vocals from Lil Yachty and Miguel. During a recent interview on Apple Music, Rocky hinted at other features on the album.

In addition to Miguel and Lil Yachty, A$AP Rocky said that both Thundercat and his close friend and collaborator, Tyler, The Creator, will appear on Don’t Be Dumb.

“We got some help from a lot of friends there. We got Miguel, we got Tyler, The Creator, we got Lil Yachty here, we got Thundercat,” he said. “Those are some heavy hitters.”

Though he didn’t necessarily confirm whether his joint project with Tyler was going to come soon, he detailed their relationship when it comes to music.

“That’s why we take so long. It’s him, bro. He plays too much man. He wants to joke and prank people all day, man. He’s the biggest prankster,” he added.

Rocky announced the title of his project in December when he performed at Amazon Music Live. During the same show, he debuted “Same Problems?” with images of late rappers displayed on the screen during the performance. During the interview, he described the song as being a product of survivor’s remorse.

“I think I was feeling remorse, I think I was feeling plight,” he said. “I think I was also feeling a sense of guilt, because every time we lose somebody in our community, we all, especially me, have a habit of just saying things like, ‘It’s messed up. It’s wrong. Why do these kind of things happen?’”

Elsewhere in the interview, the rapper also shared an update on his project.

“It’s finished and we just putting the finishing touches on it. It’s coming for sure,” he said.

Rihanna Is LOVING Motherhood & Calls A$AP Rocky a ‘Great Dad’

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Take Their Son to the Beach for a Photoshoot

Rihanna continues to wow the world effortlessly, and fans could not have been happier when she revealed she was pregnant with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. In May last year, the two lovebirds welcomed their newborn into the world, whose remains unknown (probably with good reason).

A source recently told PEOPLE that both 34-year-olds are filled with joy and enjoying their first run of parenthood, with the baby boy approximately eight years old. The insider states, “Rihanna loves being a mom. She is obsessed with her baby boy.”

They also add that the A$AP Mob founder is “very involved as well and a great dad.”

Last month, Rihanna took to TikTok to share a heartwarming clip of their son in his car seat in the back, with the “Diamonds” recording artist presumably in the passenger seat and the vehicle in motion. The video sees the infant smiling at his mother, as she asks him, “You tryna get mommy’s phone?” – before zooming in on his tiny hands.

The viral clip currently boasts over 5.5 million likes and counting, serving as Rih’s first post on the social media app. The caption reads “hacked,” capturing the beautiful moment with a splash of comedy.

Rihanna first shared her baby bump last January, after being photographed in New York City. At the time, a source shared her sentiments about Rihanna’s excitement for motherhood.

“Rihanna is doing well,” she states. “They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom.”

“Everything Rihanna does, she does it her own way on her own timetable, and having a baby is no different,” they add. “They’re just like any other pair of parents-to-be. Yes, they happen to be famous, but they’re just the cutest, giddiest young couple that’s expecting kids.”

Fans were overjoyed when she made an appearance on the Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack in November of from return to music came in the form of the single “Lift Me Up,” whose vocals paired perfectly as the movie took viewers on an emotional rollercoaster.

What’s next for Rih? Her highly-anticipated performance at the Super Bowl, as she announced she’d be the headlining act. The 34-year-old told The Associated Press, “If I’m going to leave my baby, I’m going to leave my baby for something special. It was now or never for me.”

This year’s Super Bowl will serve as Rihanna’s first live show since she blessed the Grammys in 2018 with an unforgettable performance of “Wild Thoughts.”

Rihanna “Loves Being A Mom” With “Great Dad” A$AP Rocky

One of the music world’s most beloved power couples still turns heads with every new tidbit. Moreover, a recent report from People said that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are “obsessed” with their baby boy. According to an unnamed source, the “Umbrella” singer “loves being a mom” and her partner is a “great dad.”

Furthermore, the couple welcomed their child into the world in May of 2022, so his first birthday isn’t far off. Even though both artists have millions of fans begging for new music, stronger priorities are clearly at play. Moreover, People‘s source spoke to them about their relationship.

“Rihanna loves being a mom. She is obsessed with her baby boy,” the insider stated. Also, they added that the “Praise The Lord” rapper is “very involved as well and a great dad.”

Most recently, the “Fashion Killa” collaborators’ son made his TikTok debut on Rihanna’s page. In the endearing video, the son smiled and cooed at his mother, while she asked “You trying to get Mommy’s phone?” While many loved the child’s reveal and showed love, the couple haven’t shared his name yet.

Later in the clip, their son yawned as he looked out of a car window, and it marks Rihanna’s first TikTok post. She captioned it with “Hacked,” so maybe the little guy is smarter than his age lets on.

Regardless, unnamed sources already gave media outlets some info on the couple’s new baby, even right when he was born. Moreover, People reported that the couple stayed in their Los Angeles home when Rihanna birthed her son.

“Rihanna is doing well. They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom,” a source said upon the baby’s birth.

“Everything Rihanna does, she does it her own way on her own timetable, and having a baby is no different,” another source expressed when they announced the baby was coming. Also, the source said they were incredibly happy from the jump. “They’re just like any other pair of parents-to-be. Yes, they happen to be famous, but they’re just the cutest, giddiest young couple that’s expecting kids.”

A$AP Rocky Marks 10 Years Of “LONG.LIVE.A$AP” With “Angels” Alternate Video

It’s been nearly five years since A$AP Rocky delivered his Testing album, and while fans are undeniably eager for new music from the father of one, the hiatus has given us plenty of time to celebrate the rest of his discography.

Today (January 15), the New Yorker’s debut project, LONG.LIVE.A$AP marks its 10-year anniversary. Complete with hit songs like “F**kin’ Problems” with Drake, 2 Chainz, and Kendrick Lamar and “Hell” featuring Santigold, the effort has been in streaming rotation since its initial debut.

Another fan favourite from the tracklist is “Angels,” which arrived later on the deluxe cut. At the time it came with a music video, but to celebrate a decade of success, Rocky dropped off an alternate visual for audiences on Sunday afternoon.

As HipHopNMore reports, the clip finds the 33-year-old linking up with friends in NYC. The late A$AP Yams is prominently featured in some never-before-seen footage.

Of course, the new release takes inspiration from the original, though this version is shorter. In his usual fashion, Rakim Mayers made a few noteworthy changes to keep things fresh to help his audience celebrate.

Throughout “Angels,” Rocky chiefly raps about his violent and drug-filled childhood before his inevitable rise to fame. He gets vulnerable about selling marijuana and crack cocaine at a young age and recruiting other children to aid him in his illegal endeavours.

His new visual has been sitting well with fans, with many of them singing its praises in the comment section. “10 years later and still fresh,” one person wrote. “Rocky a real trendsetter.”

Others added, “This song is so timeless,” and “Give this man a Lifetime Achievement Award for visuals while he’s alive please!”

Check out the alternate “Angels” video on YouTube above, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

Rihanna & A$AP Rocky’s Son Makes His TikTok Debut: Watch

Rihanna’s pregnancy was undoubtedly one for the books. Even as her bump continued to grow earlier this year, she stepped out in sultry ensembles that had her looking and feeling her best. Since giving birth in May, the “Pon de Replay” hitmaker has been balancing her responsibilities as a mother and a businesswoman as she enters this new chapter of her life.

While she’s been open about talking about her infant son, the Barbadian singer and her beau, A$AP Rocky have yet to share his face with the world – until now, that is. On Saturday (December 17), the 34-year-old made her TikTok debut with a video of the little guy, which she aptly captioned, “Hacked.”

In the heartwarming video, he coos and smiles at Rih. “You tryna get mommy’s phone?” she asks her baby from behind the camera. Later on, in the same clip, we see the growing boy yawning as he watches out the car window.

Since she posted the video earlier this morning, the Bad Gal and her mini-me have earned upwards of 250K likes. In the comment section, many pointed out that the infant bears a strong resemblance to his mother. “AWWWW HE LOOK JUST LIKE HER,” one person wrote.

“[It] feels abnormal that we get to see him before Christmas,” someone else joked. “It’s like a gift.” Another added, “Ri!! You made a person!! He’s real y’all. I love him [already].”

Aside from the adorable TikTok, photos of Rihanna and Rocky’s firstborn have additionally been making rounds online.

Shared exclusively with Hollywood Unlocked, the images see the couple’s lookalike wearing a white onesie in bed as he sucks on a pacifier. Another finds his father holding him up with a piece of fabric draped over his head. Seems like the Testing rapper is hoping his son will channel his inner “Babushka Boi” early on.

Presently, the musical couple hasn’t shared the name of their bundle of joy with the world. Check out his first photos exclusively below, and tell us what you think a suitable moniker is down in the comments.

A$AP Rocky Announces New Album “Don’t Be Dumb”

Over the course of 2022, fans have waited long and hard for an update on A$AP Rocky’s follow-up to Testing. Then this year, he unveiled a handful of songs, dished out a few features, and recently launched his own furniture design store.

After telling fans that Rolling Loud New York would be his final performance before the album was complete, A$AP Rocky made it clear that he’s officially in roll out mode during Amazon Music Live on Thursday night.

During a commercial break for Thursday Night Football ahead of his Amazon set, the rapper confirmed that his album is complete. “Thursday night football. Amazon. First time back on stage. Album finished. Don’t Be Dumb. Let’s go,” A$AP Rocky said to the camera.

His brief appearance during the game brought a wave of excitement to fans. Later on, the rapper confirmed the title of his album as he performed songs from the upcoming record. A$AP Rocky projected Don’t Be Dumb onto the screen before debuting a slew of new singles. One record that particularly stood out to fans found the Harlem rapper paying homage to all of the rappers who’ve passed away as their images appeared on the screens behind him.

In the past week, Rocky’s heavily hinted at the project’s release. He released “Shittin Me” for Need For Speed Unbound before appearing on Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains alongside Takeoff. Shortly after, he spoke to Complex and confirmed that he’s gearing up to release the album ASAP.

“There’s a lot in store, and I’m excited about everything. Without giving out too many surprises, it’s some cool shit in store. And it’s not a situation where they are going to have to wait long. It’s like ASAP, no pun intended,” he said.

In a separate interview with GQ, he also suggested that Metro Boomin will have a heavy presence across his forthcoming effort.

“I’m gonna put it to you like this: This next album needs to be just called Flacko Boomin, you hear me?” he said. “Most artists wanna make [collabs just because they’re hot]. For us, it’s like, that’s really my n***a.”

A$AP Rocky Hints At Heavy Metro Boomin Presence On His Next Album

A$AP Rocky’s working on his next studio album, which he heavily hinted at in the past week. After a rather quiet year, he emerged with two major records on Friday, “Shittin Me,” and his collab alongside the late Takeoff on Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains. The latter prompted further hope that Rocky and Metro would connect more frequently.

During a recent interview with GQ, Rocky explained that Metro Boomin has plenty of production on his forthcoming effort, which he says it what A$AP Yams would’ve wanted.

“I’m gonna put it to you like this: This next album needs to be just called Flacko Boomin, you hear me?” he said. “Most artists wanna make [collabs just because they’re hot]. For us, it’s like, that’s really my n***a.”

The two go back to 2012 when Yams connected them. At the time, Metro was a college student who was trying to get a big break.

“Yams linked me and Metro in 2012. This is before he’s working with a lot of people in Atlanta. He was still in college. A$AP Yams told me Metro was gonna be Metro. He was like, ‘This is the kid I’m telling you.’ So, Yams wanted this.”

Elsewhere in the interview, A$AP Rocky discussed collaborating with Takeoff on “Feel the Fiyaaaah,” their first collaboration. Apparently, the “Pe$o” rapper and the Migos artist cooked up plenty of music before Take’s untimely passing on Nov. 1st.

“It’s heavy, bro. I’m not about to gas it like I knew Take very well. I’d met him throughout the years but I never got to work with him on a one-on-one basis until a few months ago. We lost somebody ill and I’m still not over what happened to him. And I’m really sorry for that loss. I can’t thank Metro enough for linking us,” Rocky said. “Me and Take were there [in the studio], on different occasions, for [up to] 10 hours. It was crazy. He takes his time with his flows. And when it’s done, and he put that patent on it, it’s over. We got other shit, and it’s crazy. You gon hear it.”

While Rocky initially said his Rolling Loud performance would be his last before his album drops, he will be touching the stage for Amazon’s Music Live concert on Thursday night. He reportedly has some big surprises in store, so it seems like his album might be dropping sooner rather than later.
