FTP Records, Sematary, Hackle & Chief Keef Drop New Banger “F**k The World”: Stream

FTP Records, based from the F**KTHEPOPULATION merch brand, will likey have a breakout 2024 with a mixtape reportedly on the way. To get some hype behind it, the collective just released a destructive new single with some former collaborators. Moreover, Sematary, Hackle, and the one and only Chief Keef rip through their aggressive and misanthropic verses on this new song, “F**k The World.” The incredibly distorted instrumental takes heavy inspiration from early Chicago drill sounds and more harsh trap styles, plus mixtape-like DJ drops. Sosa in particular, who just remixed one of Sexyy Red’s biggest songs this year, doesn’t hold anything back with wild delivery and unbridled rage.

In fact, Sematary had previously spoken to Complex about how excited he was about this Chief Keef collab back in June. The pioneer inspired a lot of the Haunted Mound leader’s work and artistry, so to see this full-circle moment is heartening and exciting.  “I got a Sosa feature on my song,” the King Of The Graveyard visionary expressed. “With Zac FTP for the FTP album. It’s called ‘F**k The World.’ I got Chief Keef on my s**t, so no one can ever say s**t about me now. Like he made all of this, there ain’t no any of this without him. I can’t even put it into words.” To see the Glo Gang MC join one of the scariest and most explosive sounds adjacent to hip-hop right now is truly special, and it helps that “F**k The World” ends up being so catchy and energized.

Post Malone Lights Up Brand New Las Vegas Venus For New Year’s Show

Post Malone’s live shows have developed a must-see reputation over the years. The rapper and singer’s versatile talent makes for a show with impressive variety throughout. He also has a roster of hits than can hold up to almost anyone and is no stranger about pulling them all out at shows. That’s why it’s no surprise that Posty got booked for a New Year’s event and a pretty special one at that.

The “Chemical” hitmaker took the stage at one of Las Vegas’ most notable new venues, The Fontainebleau. The stage is as brand new as they come, having celebrated its grand opening just a few weeks ago in mid-December. It’s also a relatively small space for an artist of Malone’s caliber, seating less than 4000 people. He played a 90-minute set that concluded with him ringing in the new year alongside pyrotechnics, confetti, and cheering fans. Check out some clips of the performance below.

Post Malone’s New Year’s Celebraration

Earlier this year, Post Malone found himself at the center of some nasty drama. He was accused of being physically and verbally abusive to an ex-girlfriend. When the accusations were made public her lawyers claimed that they had proof of the alleged incidents which ended up being text messages. That caused Malone to take legal action of his own against the lawyers who made the claim a few months later. Developments in the legal proceedings have come pretty slowly in the months since.

Earlier this year, Post Malone shared his new album AUSTIN. The album was preceded by two hit songs “Chemical” and “Mourning.” The tracks have raced up more than 300k and 100k streams respectively. The album received mixed reviews from critics upon its release in in July. Subsequently, a few deep cuts like “Something Real” and “Speedometer” have emerged as fan favorites. What do you think of the clips of Post Malone’s New Year’s performance? Who would you want to see perform in the intimate new venue? Let us know in the comment section below.

Drake Shares His First New Year’s Thoughts After Being Named Most Streamed Rapper Of 2023

Drake has been collecting so many commercial accolades for so long that it isn’t even a surprise anymore when he does something amazing. This time, he achieved a pretty substantial Spotify milestone. Right at the end of 2023, the platform named him as their most-streamed rap artist of 2023. Drizzy’s entire discography racked up an absolutely stunning 17.6 billion streams in the 12 months of 2023. Only three artists in the world had more streams on Spotify last year, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny.

Drake also rang in the new year by sharing his first thoughts of 2024 on social media. “First thought for 2024: I’m not your emotional support dog,” the rapper captioned a bizarre new Instagram post. The post is likely a reference to his new album For All The Dogs which deploys canine imagery in the lyrics a handful of times throughout the project. The caption is attached to a very surreal series of seemingly unrelated pictures making up the post itself. Check out the strange Instagram post below.

Drake Is Still For All The Dogs

Following the release of For All The Dogs, Drake claimed that he was going on a hiatus from releasing new music. He’s dropped at least one project every year dating back to 2019 so it’s no surprise that he’s looking for a break. But before he could even get started on his hiatus he shared an extended version of his new album. The new version featured Scary Hours 3, a six-track EP of new material.

Last month, Drake shared a new music video for the closing track and breakthrough hit of the EP. The song is called “You Broke My Heart” and features some of the most notable lyrical callouts and references on the project. He found himself in some pretty hot water following the release of the music video though. That’s because it features a cameo appearance from controversial country singer Morgan Wallen. What do you think of Drake’s bizarre new Instagram post? Are you surprised that he’s once again the most streamed rapper of the year on Spotify? Let us know in the comment section below.

The Game, Big Hit & Hit-Boy Drop Dual Music Video For “Paisley Dreams / P Fiction”: Stream

The Game and father-son duo Big Hit and Hit-Boy just kicked off 2024 with a bang with their surprise nine-track EP, Paisley Dreams. The project emerged from a random studio session the trio held, ad ended up manifesting into much more than the one song they intended to complete. It’s a very lush and West Coast-inspired collection of songs, ranging from soulful boom-bap to hard-knocking Cali swings and some variation in between. There’s no better example of that than the duo of the dreamy and melancholy “Paisley Dreams” plus the gritty and boisterous “P Fiction,” for which this group dropped a dual music video. It switches from grayscale to full color as each MC spits through their verse on a night out on the town.

Furthermore, “Paisley Dreams” is a perfect example of the light, breezy, and almost comforting brand of boom-bap that Hit-Boy excels at. It’s a sound that he’s worked with a lot as of late, especially for his incredible run of albums with the one and only Nas. The Game and Big Hit deliver verses that range between luxurious, reflective, and boastful, and their deliveries give it that extra griminess. “P Fiction,” on the other hand, has a more traditional West Coast bounce that, although more aggressive, still fits with the gorgeous sample work. The two tracks work very well together as contrasted displays of these artists’ talents, and the rest of the mixtape follows a similar logic.

Happy New Year to all, and to welcome us into 2024, we have The Game and Big Hit’s new collaborative nine-track mixtape Paisley Dreams, produced by the latter’s son, the one and only Hit-Boy. Moreover, this new project follows the father-son duo’s recent collaborative album, which marks Big Hit’s debut full-length release. Not only that, but this new record was the product of an impromptu studio session which turned into a sharp and focused process. It released right on New Year’s Day 2024, and it’s a no-frills collection of hardened boom-bap and G-funk, soulful chops, vividly confident and boisterous bars, and excellent chemistry between its MCs. These artists also took to social media to share some revelations about Paisley Dreams.

“I pulled on @hitboy & @bighit 3 days ago to do 1 song,” The Game expressed on Instagram. “Stayed a few hours & ended up doing a 9 song tape that night. I’m not here to ask you to stream it or download it. I’m just a man, telling his fans a story about last night & the night before.” “The Game pulled up on me and Big Hit 4 days ago,” Hit-Boy wrote on his IG post about the release. “and i was thinking maybe we ask him to get on the ‘Bang Freestyle’ remix or something at MOST. But instead he locked in with us for the rest of the night and we made a 9 song album.” This follows an incredibly prolific run for the producer in 2023, as he dropped multiple albums including the finale of his Nas run, Magic 3.

Uncle Murda References Sexyy Red, Young Thug & More On “Rap Up 2023”: Stream

As is tradition at this point, Uncle Murda summarized a lot of pop culture and hip-hop’s biggest events of the year on his new song “Rap Up 2023.” However, in contrast to previous years, it looks like this is actually part one of three, the next of which will hopefully come in the near future. As such, we know that he has so much more to talk about when it comes to some of the last 365 days’ biggest stories, perhaps over the same sample of Mary J. Blige’s “All Night Long.” Moreover, when it comes to the song, there’s not a lot to say here. The beat is classic New York all the way and the G-Unit rapper’s flows and delivery is a little choppy.

Still, that’s understandable considering all the different topics that come up on the first part of “Rap Up 2023.” Blueface, Chrisean Rock, Sexyy Red, Andre 3000’s new album, Offset, Cardi B, Donald Trump, Jamie Foxx, Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Baby, and so many more get a mention here for their various headlines. There’s also the Remy Ma and Papoose cheating drama, Keke Palmer’s scandal with Darius Jackson, the Lizzo lawsuits, Boosie and T.I.’s relationship, and the list goes on. Not everyone’s a fan of these cuts, but it’s at least entertaining to hear these takes and the stories link together. The Brooklyn MC held no punches through controversial assessments and wild claims.

Meanwhile, he also hinted at fully diving into the Diddy accusations in the next parts of this installment. Kanye West’s ghostwriter was still able to fit a lot into this track. Other celebrities include Da Brat, Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert, Nicki Minaj and Elliott Wilson, etc. We won’t spoil his observations. SZA Shares 2024 Advice For Fans About Kindness

SZA, like most of us, wants the best out of her 2024, and is trying hard to manifest the best vibes moving forward. Moreover, she recently took to Twitter to share some important advice with her followers, specifically relating to acts of kindness and our empathy towards one another. Lord knows we need more of that in the world, whether across the globe or within this specific space of the music industry. Sure, the St. Louis superstar might want to just replicate 2023 next year, as her track “Snooze” was the only song that stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for the whole year. But she knows there are more important things to cherish and strive for.

“I don’t meditate pray and do spiritual stuff to be better than anyone,” SZA expressed on the social media platform on Wednesday (December 26). “I do it to keep from beating a**.” Two days later, she returned to Twitter with a message along a similar vein, and one that crystallizes what she wants to uphold next year. “Bruh everybody human everybody feels,” the “Ghost In The Machine” singer added. “Everybody has a right to beat [your] a** upon being disrespected so let’s be kind to another unless u can fight in 2024 ok?”

SZA Gives Fans Her Advice For 2024

With this in mind, hopefully SZA is able to fully achieve this and have the best year of her life so far, as we all should work towards. But she couldn’t let go of 2023 before answering one more question from fans: what’s she singing on Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy”? Furthermore, the 34-year-old finally clarified this on her Instagram Story, sharing the lyrics in question. A snippet: “You been so good and you deserve to end your suffering, I need good d**k and conversation, can you comfort me?”

Meanwhile, maybe Summer Walker will hop on a remix of her track with Ty Dolla $ign and The Neptunes, “Hit Different,” based on some recent social media activity. Is this the first new release from the TDE darling we’ll get in 2024, which will hopefully be a kinder and more empathetic year? Or are we finally getting Lana? Drop your predictions in the comments section down below. Also, for more news and the latest updates on SZA, stick around on HNHH.

Sexyy Red Plans To Be A “Whole New Woman” After The Birth Of Her Child

Sexyy Red has announced that she plans to be a “whole new woman” after she “drops” her baby early next year. “Super sexyy. Super pretty. Get money,” Red explained in a series of videos posted on Instagram. Red initially announced her pregnancy in October, but it’s unclear how far along she is in her pregnancy. As a result, it’s unknown when her due date is.

Of course, being pregnant has stopped Red going wild. Red was twerking like the best of them as she celebrated the release of the deluxe version of Hottest Hood Princess. Red was turned all the way up at a release party, letting her booty shake like jello. Furthermore, Red’s impressive moves also showed that pregnancy isn’t slowing her down when comes to getting down.

Texas Volleyball Gets Hype To Sexyy Red

Meanwhile, Texas’ women’s volleyball team went viral ahead of the National Championship matchup thanks to Red. The players on the team were caught getting hyped up to Sexyy Red‘s “SkeeYee” after their national championship semifinal win over Wisconsin. The locker room video showed the assembled women going absolutely wild while singing along to one of the year’s biggest tracks. Released in June, “SkeeYee” became a cultural phenomenon despite only peaking at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also referenced by the Troy Trojans football program after they scored a rivalry game win earlier this year.

A day later and Texas were once against NCAA champions. They swept title favorites Nebraska 2-0 in the national championship to defend their title from 2022. Furthermore, the title is the Longhorns’ fourth overall. They are the first team to win back to back titles since Stanford did so in 2018 and 2019. Additionally, the Longhorns overcame the odds to beat a one-loss Nebraska team seeking its first title since 2017. The Longhorns were a four-loss team but powered through their bracket, dropping just two sets on their way to the title.
