Dame Dash is 50 Cent’s latest target. Speaking with Million Dollaz Worth of Game, 50 gave insight to a conversation with Dash during contract negotiations with Shady Records.

“The only person that pointed out a million dollars was no money was Damon Dash and he has no money now,” 50 said. “How you gonna say that’s no money?

“After you get you a watch, chain, look out for the homies and then do this, then it’s nothing.”

Dame Dash is sweetening the pot on his pending Roc-a-Fella sale. Hitting Instagram, Dash announced he would throw in a Roc-A-Fella chain to whoever is the lucky buyer.

“As we all know, one-third of Roc-A-Fella Inc. which owns Reasonable Doubt is for sale and I’ve gotten a lot of calls, a lot of offers,” Dash said. “I’ve definitely got some very healthy offers and I appreciate those.

“So if you do wanna buy one-third of Roc-A-Fella Inc., you are gonna have to bring some bread. And anything over $10 million, I’m gonna sweeten the pot: you get an original Roc-A-Fella chain from off my neck.”

Dame Dash heard about JAY-Z’s legal filing, stating a claim to Reasonable Doubt in 2031. His response: “This shit is still for sale.”

The battle over the rights to Jay-Z’s iconic debut album, Reasonable Doubt, is nearing its conclusion. Recent legal filings reveal that the full ownership of the album will officially transfer to Jay-Z in 2031. This news comes as Dame Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, is facing the public auction of his 33.3% stake in the company, scheduled for later this month.

TMZ states that the U.S. Marshals will auction Dash’s shares in Roc-A-Fella Records, with a minimum bid set at $1.2 million. This auction follows years of Dash attempting to sell his shares, culminating in this forced sale. The proceeds from the auction are intended to cover a judgment from a civil suit Dash lost in 2022 to Josh Webber and Muddy Waters Pictures over defamation and copyright infringement related to the film Dear Frank.

The recent filing by Jay-Z’s legal team further complicates the value of Dash’s stake in Roc-A-Fella. The document confirms that the rights to Reasonable Doubt, released in 1996, will transfer from Roc-A-Fella to Jay-Z’s ownership under his real name, Shawn Carter, in 2031. This shift was already set to happen 35 years after the album’s release. Still, the filing makes it official, indicating that whoever wins the auction will only receive a portion of the album’s revenue for the next six years.

2024 MTV VMAs Host Megan Thee Stallion Is Also Performing At The Ceremony, She Just Announced

It turns out that in addition to hosting the 2024 MTV VMAs, Megan Thee Stallion will also be performing.

Meg revealed the news today (September 3), writing on social media, “Hotties not Onlyyyy am I your lovely host for the evening at the 2024 @vmas IM ALSOOO PERFORMINGGGG.”

This news comes just days after Meg announced a new collaborative single with BTS member RM coming out soon, so perhaps that tune will make her VMAs setlist. She said of the song, “This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve heard. I’ve never heard him rap in this style before.” “Mamushi,” for which Megan just released a surreal new video, would also seemingly be a candidate for the performance slot.

Megan is nominated in five categories: Best Collaboration (“Wanna Be” with GloRilla), and Best Hip Hop, Best Visual Effects, Best Direction, and Best Art Direction (all for “Boa”). She’s behind nominations leader Taylor Swift, who has 10 nods, as well as Post Malone with nine and Sabrina Carpenter, Eminem, and Ariana Grande with six each.

The list of performers this year also includes Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro, Lisa, Halsey, Benson Boone, Lenny Kravitz, and Katy Perry (who is also receiving the Video Vanguard Award).

The 2024 VMAs are set to air on MTV on September 11 at 8 p.m. ET.

Sexyy Red’s ‘4 President Tour’ Setlist Soundtracks A Wild Campaign Rally

At the end of August, Sexyy Red canceled several of the dates on her Sexyy 4 President Tour, after previously claiming that she was being “sabotaged” on the tour. Sexyy blamed low ticket sales on “bigger companies” shutting her down for using an independent promoter.

However, the show must go on, and go on it has. The tour started at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on August, and thanks to setlist.fm, we now know exactly which songs from her growing discography she’ll be performing on the remaining tour dates. While Sexyy Red hasn’t been around for the longest time, she does have plenty of guest verses, which beef up the setlist considerably. Meanwhile, during the Atlanta show, Red was joined by some of the city’s biggest names, so don’t expect to see 2 Chainz and Quavo on the set every night. You can see the setlist below.

Cardi B recently shared maternity photos and an ultrasound of her unborn baby. The ultrasound sparked some funny names, while the maternity pics generated controversy.

Some people noticed that the photos, which were shot in a graffiti-covered alley, featured the word “pedophile” painted on a wall in the background. As HipHopDX notes, the Nicki Minaj fans interpreted this as a shot at Nicki, since her husband and brother have both been charged with sexual assault on a minor. Cardi insists it was simply an accident, though.

She wrote in a tweet, “First of all we literally picked a random street because paparazzi was hounding us everywhere.. this was supposed to be my original first picture and we had to edit the photos in minutes because the shoot got leaked. Didn’t even have time to go over every detail because people were busy trying to expose my pregnancy as ‘aha’ moment…Second I’m ALWAYS with the sh*ts but I’m not using MY MATERNITY shoot to be funny. Are you dumb??”

A user responded, “I hate that ya let people get away wit doing weird shi just because they claim they were ‘unaware’ like n**** you’re a whole celebrity with a team this is a bs ass excuse ngl.” Cardi replied, “A team?? Olympic Marathon Star Set On Fire By Boyfriend: Report

Hopefully, Rebecca Cheptegei gets some sort of justice and soon. According to an appalling report from TMZ Sports, the Ugandan marathon runner was set on fire by her Kenyan boyfriend, Dickson Ndiema. The barbaric act occurred this past Sunday according to Trans Nzoia County Police Commander, Jeremiah ole Kosiom. He says that a fight over property was what set things off between them and somehow spiraled into her being set ablaze. Time says that Cheptegei’s parents told them that she got land in Trans Nzoia County to be closer to training centers. In his report, Kosiom said, “During the altercation, the boyfriend was seen pouring a liquid on the woman before burning her”. That “liquid” used was petrol.

At this moment, there are no charges on Cheptegei’s assumed ex-boyfriend, but they are certainly bound to come. After catching on fire, the 33-year-old runner is said to have around 75% of her body burnt. Ndiema also sustained injuries after his brutal attack. Cheptegei is currently getting special treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret city.

Baby Storme says she tried to warn Cleotrapa about Ice Spice after the Bronx rapper’s former friend spoke out against her on Monday. Cleo claimed she endured mistreatment throughout the Y2K! World Tour. Storme chimed in on the situation on X (formerly Twitter), after she previously leaked alleged messages from Spice in which she appeared to criticize Cleo and Nicki Minaj.

Storme began by quote-tweeting Cleo’s previous defense about that situation with the message: “I tried to warn you & you just threatened to beat me up. Nevertheless, I’m sorry that happened to you.” Cleo then replied to her: “Oh I threatened to beat you up cause you was doing all that cause was mad at ice. Cleotrapa Performs On Ice Spice’s “Y2K! World Tour”

Ice Spice addressed the drama in an X Spaces conversation on Monday night, accusing Cleo of “crashing out.” “Crashing out is sad you guys,” she said. “The scary part of fame honestly is the moment that somebody feels like they can no longer use your platform or like they’re not getting exactly what they want out of a situation the way that they want it … That’s when they decide to crash out every single time. Consequently, when it comes to signing new talents, he has to make some pretty tough decisions. For instance, back in 2016, he decided not to sign Desiigner following his smash hit “Panda.” As we all know, Desiigner ended up signing to Kanye West and subsequently faded into obscurity.

While speaking to Gillie and Wallo on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Fif made some interesting comments about Desiigner and the mad dash that ensued to sign the star. 50 Cent says he took a meeting with him and was ready to put ink on the paper, however, when he asked Desiigner about his other songs, the artist had no answer. This is because he only had one song. Fif saw this as a massive red flag and ended up passing on the artist.

Knowing what we know now, this was probably for the best. Desiigner never became a bonafide superstar. Furthermore, he ultimately got into legal trouble when he exposed himself on a plane. When you put all of this together, it can be said that Fif dodged a bullet. While Desiigner has made attempts at a comeback, so far, they have mostly fallen short.

Lil Troy Gives Update While Recovering From Heart Attack

Texas rap legend Lil Troy recently suffered from a heart attack and the “Wanna Be A Baller” rapper has given his fans an update on his status during his recovery.

While speaking to AllHipHop, Troy gave an optimistic update on his recovery, saying, “I’m good feeling good and ready to get back to being Superman. Feeling bless[ed]. Getting to start a new life of [eating] right and going to the doctor and taking my meds.”

Geto Boys’ Willie D initially said that Troy’s condition wasn’t looking promising, saying, “The good news is he’s still with us. The bad news is he’s not out of the woods,” he said on his YouTube channel. “I spoke to Troy this morning — he’s alert but he’s still in the hospital where he’s been since Tuesday of last week.”

Willie also demanded that everyone “do something about this health crisis that we’re in,” citing the recent deaths of Beatking and Fatman Scoop, who both recently passed away from acute health issues.

Lil Troy also gave insight about the other “Wanna Be A Baller” collaborators Fat Pat, Big Hawk, Lil’ Will and Big T, who all passed away between 1998 and 2018.

“I’ve been saying [the song] is cursed for a long time. It’s like that movie Final Destination when everyone starts dying right after each other,” he said. “I started thinking about that when everybody started passing. And I’m like, ‘I know I’m not next.’ Everybody that got on that song or did something together, they start dying one by one after each other. I said, ‘Oh no, it’s not my time to go yet. No, no.’”

SiR Wraps Up 2024 Life Is Good Tour with Sold-Out Shows in Los Angeles

Last week, SiR concluded his 2024 Life Is Good Tour with two back-to-back sold-out shows at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The tour, which featured 18 shows this summer, sold nearly 40,000 tickets and grossed nearly $1.5 million.

The final LA performances featured support from Zacari and SiR’s brother, Davion Farris. In a special moment, Davion joined SiR and their other brother, D Smoke, for a powerful acapella performance. SiR’s headlining set included songs like “Karma,” “John Redcorn,” “No Evil,” “Hair Down,” and “D’Evils,” alongside guest appearances by Ab-Soul for “I’m Not Perfect” and Anderson .Paak for “Poetry In Motion” from his latest album, HEAVY.

Ahead of his August 22 show, SiR partnered with the Music Forward Foundation to host a Q&A with students from Compton College, sharing insights on navigating the music industry.

SiR’s latest album, HEAVY, released on March 22, 2024, via Top Dawg Entertainment, explores themes of recovery, mental health, and transformation. It features collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Isaiah Rashad, Ab-Soul, Anderson .Paak, and Scribz Riley. The album has received acclaim from Rolling Stone, NPR, Billboard, Men’s Health, and Essence, solidifying SiR’s place in contemporary R&B. The Life Is Good Tour kicked off on July 23 in Silver Spring, MD, with stops across North America before concluding with the memorable LA shows.
