Young Thug Trial Update: Witness’ Lawyer Pleads For Client’s Life Amid Health Issues In Jail

The Young Thug and YSL RICO trial faces yet another obstacle. Moreover, it concerns state witness Quindarrius “Lil Dee” Zachary, also known as QZ. Authorities arrested him on a material witness warrant over a 2015 shooting and kept him in custody despite him reportedly going in and out of the hospital ten times over four months due to his serious medical condition. His lawyer appeared in court today (Monday, September 16) to plead for QZ’s release due to this illness, claiming that he will die if he remains in Fulton County. The judge posited that QZ is back at Grady Hospital, and the attorney said that he wasn’t aware of this development.

Apparently, the lawyer had talked to QZ’s family the night before, and other reports suggest that he was still in prison at 2AM on Monday. Elsewhere during the Young Thug trial today, they heard from other witnesses concerning the 2015 shooting, including police officers Adrian Pitts and Alford Turner. This also comes amid other Thugger stories, such as Wallo’s claims that the rapper made $1 million at a Rolling Loud performance. Also, the podcaster recalled how he warned Thug about how his crew was a liability.

Young Thug Trial Witness Is Allegedly At Risk Of Losing His Life Over Health Condition While In Custody

As far as the YSL RICO trial itself, some folks like DJ Akademiks think that Young Thug doesn’t have much hope. “As far as the trial, s**t show,” he told DJ Vlad. “What’s most likely gonna happen, I 100% do believe that he’s gonna be found guilty. They’re throwing everything and the kitchen sink… So much taxpayer money has gone into it, they don’t want to do a mistrial at this point. I think it’s gonna be guilty but I think it’s gonna be overturned on appeal and I think once it’s overturned on appeal, absolutely not they will not try it again.”

Others, though, are more positive, such as trial witness Lil Woody. “Father God we need you now more than ever I pray that you answer our prayer and free [Young Thug] & co-defendants,” he wrote on Instagram. “The world has seen the treatment our justice system has done to us lock us up forced us to tell untruthful stories. The mistreatment is cr*zy. Wrong is wrong we have sympathy for all the victims and their families as kids bad choices and punishment is acceptable but this is a different story this is corruption this is madness and very personal.”

Joey Badass Takes Issue With Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” Being Considered A New York Anthem

Joey Badass says he isn’t a fan of Cardi B’s breakthrough single, “Bodak Yellow,” despite having nothing but love for his fellow New York rapper. Speaking with Method Man in an interview for Billboard, Joey explained that the track shouldn’t be labeled a “New York” anthem, considering the flow is from Florida’s Kodak Black.

“This is my disclaimer with ‘Bodak Yellow.’ First of all, I love Cardi B … But, for me, ‘Bodak Yellow,’ is literally a Kodak Black flow,” he argued. “Like, it’s a Florida flow, you know what I’m saying? … We having a conversation about New York anthems. While, okay, yes, I think that it definitely was an anthemic record for beyond New York, I think that it just has this DNA of not a New York song. Let’s be real about it. If Kodak Black didn’t exist we would have never have gotten ‘Bodak Yellow.’”

After former President Donald Trump expressed his disdain for famed singer Taylor Swift on his Truth Social site after she publicly endorsed VP Kamala Harris, Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav quickly and passionately jumped to Swift’s defense.

Flav took to X and posted “I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT,!!” Flav in his response to Trump’s “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” COMMENT. One X user accused the 65-year-old rap legend of catering to Swift fans, saying, “Pandering to the swifties? Pretty pathetically hilarious,” Flav returned fire, replying, “You must be new here,,, allow me to reintroduce myself,,, they call me KING SWIFTIE.” He also retweeted actor Mark Hamil expressing his support for Swift as well.

Megan Thee Stallion Completes A Metamorphosis In Her Teaser For ‘Megan: Act Two’

It looks like Megan Thee Stallion isn’t yet done rolling out new music for 2024. Ahead of the release of her new album, Megan, the Houston Hottie shared plenty of promo material featuring chrysalis imagery, to reflect the new stage of her career and life she was entering (even as some fans protested that it was inconsistent with the reptile theming she used to kick off the rollout).

Apparently, she considers her metamorphosis complete. Meg shared a teaser on social media for something called Megan: Act Two (which is, presumably, a follow-up or extension of her new album) in which she transforms, growing butterfly-like wings. In the caption, she wrote, “Stay tuned, hotties.”

If this means new music is on the way from Thee Stallion this year, it’ll round out one busy 2024 for the big anime fan. In addition to Megan, she also joined Latto on her “Sunday Service” remix with Flo Milli, collaborated with GloRilla on “Wanna Be” and the “Wanna Be Remix” with Cardi B, and dropped “Neva Play” with RM — a song that now seems likely to end up on Megan: Act Two and is the official theme song for the WWE’s current season. Aside from those official singles, she also helped create a remake of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” for Pepsi and the NFL.

Joe Budden Receives Barrage Of Backlash For Take On Tyla & Her Behavior At The VMAs

One of the most controversial talking heads in all of hip-hop is back at it again. Over the weekend, Joe Budden and the crew got to discussing the MTV VMAs that went down last Wednesday. The main focus during that portion of the podcast had to do with Tyla. Overall, there are some that feel she was acting snobby and standoffish throughout the entire program. For example, some were critiquing her for the way she was asking Lil Nas X and Halle Bailey to help her hold her award onstage.

This led to Armon Wiggins, a pretty big multi-media personality, to call out Tyla on social media. “Hey, I don’t think I like TYLA’s personality. I think someone needs to check her ’cause she doesn’t understand American culture AT ALL. She almost gives off entitled or uppity African vibes. I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s very off-putting, and it’s almost like she expects people to just fall at her feet”.

Joe Budden Felt Tyla Curved USHER In A Stuck-Up Manner

This quote sparked debate on Joe Budden’s show as he was in complete agreement, according to IOL. Apparently, he’s been feeling this way about the “Water” hitmaker, citing an incident at one of USHER’s past shows being the catalyst. In the resurfaced clip above, USHER appears to try and get Tyla to dance on him, but she subtly dodges that advance of assumed showmanship. Joe felt she should have done it out of respect because the R&B legend was trying to show her love by doing this all while dancing to “Water”. However, his panel of co-hosts was in total disagreement, mentioning that she’s in a relationship and didn’t want to disrespect her man. Bhad Bhabie continues to cause controversy around her continued relationship with her boyfriend LeVaughn and their family dynamics. Moreover, some pictures recently emerged online of them celebrating her daughter’s birthday together, complete with a kiss on the cheek. Some fans had heart-warmed reactions in the comments section of the post below, but others did not have much sympathy for their happiness. For those unaware, the femcee had accused her partner of domestic violence in June, posting photos of her injuries and remarking on leaked security footage of an altercation.

Furthermore, this comes after Bhad Bhabie eviscerated a tattoo artist for messing up her recently inked portrait of LeVaughn. “@lakimiitattoo is pure bulls**t,” she claimed on her Instagram Story. “Their work on there page looks so good freshly done, but apparently I need to wait weeks for my portrait of Lv to heal for ‘the color to fade.’ Meanwhile the color isn’t the problem his eyes and eyebrows are too far and the wrong shape as well as his lips and nose is too big and turned upwards. The owner has yet to acknowledge that it’s not about the color and the features are off. I’m so embarrassed by this huge tattoo on my leg. I feel like I have a stranger tattooed on my body.”

Cardi B Wastes No Time In Returning To The Gym After Giving Birth

Cardi B may have given birth just nine days ago, but she didn’t take long to keep up with her previous lifestyle routines and her career moves. Moreover, she recently shared some videos on her Instagram Story on Sunday (September 15) of her at the gym, eschewing weight training for some stair master cardio. “Since im off tonight im doing a late night gym session,” the Bronx femcee shared. “No heavy lifting, no weight just straight stair master until next week and I start with @fitking_plem. Remember ladies this is my third baby …with my other 2 babies I was still on bedrest on my first week postpartum.”

For those unaware, Cardi B had previously expressed her goal to quickly “snap back” to her body and get back in shape after her third pregnancy, which combats haters given their response to the previous two. “Y’all was making fun of me thinking that I was getting extra surgeries,” she remarked. “All along, I just gained 15lbs ’cause I’m a pregnant hoe. […] The time as soon as I give birth, I’m going to work out. I remember how y’all made me feel in May, and y’all hurt my feelings. Snap back is gonna be on a thousand.”

Cardi B Hits The Gym Just Days After Giving Birth

Furthermore, it’s heartening to see Cardi B go through this process while still sharing some adorable moments of her new baby’s birth. In a new clip, she and Offset admire the little one and sharing news of their arrival with the couple’s six-year-old daughter Kulture. Their three-year-old Wave was also there, and it was overall a very wholesome moment. Even though the rap romance is no more, it’s clear that they still have a lot of love for each other and committed mutually to always support their family.
