SZA performed her “last show for a while” earlier this month, which frees her up to spend her time like non-chart-topping citizens: Perusing the internet.

On Wednesday, August 28, SZA posted a screenshot of an interaction she had with someone in her Instagram DMs. The person’s username isn’t visible, but God bless them, whoever they are.

“SZA I’m failing geometry can you give me math tips,” they wrote. SZA replied in four messages, “Lmaooo ma’am I’m a math dummy. I’m not sure what u expected [laugh-crying emoji]. Tell me about the shapes chile. How can I help[?]”

The person replied with a photo of their (alleged) geometry homework along with, “I just can’t do this [three crying emojis, three heartbroken emojis].” SZA wrote, “Oh b*tch ur cooked.” And a new meme was born.

Atop the screenshot in her Instagram Story, SZA wrote, I appreciate the faith in me.”

Luckily, math is not required to pump out bangers like “Kill Bill” and “Snooze.”

While SZA won’t be performing in the immediate future, she might be preparing to officially release Lana after the album was delayed due to leaks. SZA last dropped SOS in December 2022, and her sophomore LP spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Of course, fans are antsier than ever to hear what he has to offer, and the Harlem-born rapper only continues to tease what’s to come.

Earlier today, for example, he hopped on Instagram to share a trailer for his upcoming “Tailor Swif” music video. The trailer itself is expectedly chaotic, and fans can’t wait for its official release.

It won’t be the only exciting visual ASAP Rocky unveils this month, however. Last week, the hitmaker unveiled his music video for “HIGHJACK,” another single from the new album. The track first arrived a few weeks ago, and prompted big reactions from listeners, particularly those anticipating Drake disses. Rocky later addressed the feud head-on in his Billboard cover story, suggesting that he’s not as invested as some may have thought.

“You got to realize, certain n***as was throwing shots for years,” he told the outlet. “I ain’t in the middle of that s**t. That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some p***y boys. It is real beef outside. It is real. N***as getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N***as sniping n***as every day. DJ Akademiks Explains Why Drake Will “Win Game 2” Against Kendrick Lamar & Company

As if folks didn’t get enough this year, hip-hop culture entertains a very interesting possibility these days: will Drake “win Game 2” as he proclaimed in an Instagram Story? Many folks feel like the series against Kendrick Lamar and company already ended, especially as the Compton lyricist and his camp reportedly have no interest in revisiting their victory. But OVO fans staunchly maintain that their fav will emerge victorious in the end, whether by literally changing the outcome of the battle or flaunting his success in spite of his loss. It’s unclear what possibility DJ Akademiks believes in, but as he showed during his recent livestream, he’s still ten toes down for The Boy.

“But Game 2, we will win,” DJ Akademiks expressed. “Game 2, we will win. That’s a fact. If you think Drake finna abandon and forsake all them fans, you got to realize, this for the fans right here. You think he gon’ let some p***y a** n***as have something over him, his legacy, and his fans? No! Aye, chat, f**k that. This the new thing: Drake in five. Drake in five, people, Drake in five. Remember I told you that.

DJ Akademiks Thinks Drake Will Win In The End

“Drake. In five,” DJ Akademiks emphasized. “Drake in five. No, no, no, no, we ain’t doing six. Five. What’s understood don’t need to be explained. Y’all are going to watch it. Listen, listen, we got to see where the game starts. We got to see, bro. Just watch Game 2, bro. Just watch Game 2. We ain’t got to tell you the game plan. This ain’t Steve Kerr, n***a. F**k you think, we Gregg Popovich?” Again, what little rumblings we’ve heard on Kendrick Lamar’s end point to this being a one-sided effort.

Meanwhile, all this speculation from DJ Akademiks and others is irrelevant until we really know what “Game 2” means. Is it literally a second round of the Kendrick Lamar battle, will Drake focus on his other opponents, or does “winning Game 2” instead mean just being the biggest rapper of them all? No one really believed that he would lose that status immediately, right? Regardless, we’ll have to patiently wait until we actually have a concrete idea of this epilogue.

Big Sean Surprisingly Raps Over A Kanye West Beat On New Song, “Fighting Fires”

Big Sean’s new album Better Me Than You comes out in just a couple of hours (Friday, August 30), and fans can’t wait to hear what’s in store. However, some new SoundCloud-exclusive singles (or perhaps loosies) also have folks wondering whether we will get an update to one of his most complex sagas as a career musician. Of course, we’re talking about the Sean Don’s relationship with Kanye West, a complicated and often contentious one, especially in the 2020s decade. Nevertheless, Sean recently rapped about his status in the rap game on “Fighting Fires,” a SC-only song that used the beat from Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s “MY SOUL” off of VULTURES 2.

This version of the cut features the VULTURES duo speaking about freedom, religion, and mass incarceration alongside Ty’s brother TC. Big Sean, on the other hand, provides more of a boastful and bar-heavy hip-hop display over the same “MY SOUL” instrumental. Another SoundCloud exclusive, “Dirty Work,” was taken down from the platform, so we don’t know if these are actual Better Me Than You singles or just random leftovers. Nevertheless, he had teased “Fighting Fires” all the way in July as a potential Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign collaboration on their next VULTURES effort, but we now know that this didn’t work out.

Big Sean’s “Fighting Fires”: Listen

Rather, it seems like the former G.O.O.D. Music colleagues instead have their own individual versions of this cut. Big Sean has been through a lot to release Better Me Than You, so it’s no surprise that he wanted to get this release off his chest in some way. The album faced a full leak earlier this year, and many fans even thought that Kanye West was responsible for this. Sean himself dismissed this notion, instead showing love to Ye despite his disparaging comments about his G.O.O.D. signee during a previous interview.

Meanwhile, Kanye West isn’t the only person that allegedly inspired Big Sean amid this Better Me Than You rollout. Many Baby Keem fans felt like Sean was biting his style, another idea that he didn’t subscribe to at all. Nevertheless, his inspirations and dedications –wherever they come from – should make for a really compelling album experience. Here’s hoping that the lyrical firmness we’ve heard on these teaser cuts remains a prevalent theme on the LP.

Evelyn Lozada Speaks On Her Daughter’s Alleged Child With The Game Amid Tiffney Cambridge Rumors

Evelyn Lozada is setting the record straight when it comes to her daughter Shaniece Hairston, taking to Instagram on Wednesday (August 28) per VIBE magazine. Moreover, she referred to Shaniece’s recently announced pregnancy, and specifically clapped back at some speculative fans. For those unaware, many online theorized that Shaniece is actually expecting a child with The Game, which led people to resurface images of Lozada with the rapper’s ex-fiancée, Tiffney Cambridge. Neither Shaniece nor the Los Angeles MC have confirmed that they are together, but Lozada responded to the claims that they betrayed Cambridge.

“This OH MY GOD this person was best friends with that person and how dare they,” Evelyn Lozada said about the Game situation. “Guys, stop making this s**t up okay!” While saying that most of what appears online is “bulls**t,” she explained why she isn’t that bothered at the end of the day. “I don’t mind, I live in my truth but some of this stuff is crazy to read.” It’s definitely not the only hot take that the Basketball Wives star recently had about potential relationships, as she shut down Stephen A. Smith in quite the direct way.

The Game Speaks On Expecting A Child, But Doesn’t Say Who He’s Expecting With

Apart from this relationship drama, one other thing that The Game might be thinking about these days is how Rick Ross never responded to his disses this year with a track of his own. During a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe, Rozay actually explained why he never clapped back. “Not responding is a response when you a boss,” he claimed. Not everyone bought it, as Ross was definitely very happy to respond to Drake’s jabs at him, but it’s nevertheless unlikely that anything will provoke a full-on back-and-forth between these two.

Meanwhile, The Game also has a pretty tough legal situation to deal with, as authorities might seize his home as part of a sexual assault accuser’s judgement against him. Maybe this gossip train stop with Evelyn Lozada’s daughter will provide another dimension to these struggles. Hopefully, they’re able to move through it without much hassle and in a way that prioritizes the unborn child. If the rapper is even the father, that is…
