Cardi B Tells Her Side After A Video Of Her Saying She’ll ‘F*ck Up’ A Woman Surfaced
Yesterday (August 5), the New York Post shared video of a shouting match, between Cardi B and another woman, outside of a New York City apartment complex. As XXL notes, the dispute appeared to be over the woman taking photos of Cardi and her associates. At one point, Cardi says, “You were harassing them, though. You touched their car! I saw you! I’m recording you, b*tch. I’ll f*ck you up, for real!”
Later, on X (formerly Twitter), Cardi added, “Btches trying to be funny and make this something it’s not but I don’t care. I don’t like when people think they can bully people for no reason.. like how you gonna do all that yelling, hit their car, AND call the cops all because they taking pictures in front of a building?!
She then shared the video of the incident she filmed herself and wrote, “Why y’all trying to make me sound bad?? This was July 28th and I was defending them but ok [crying laughing emojis].”
Cardi also retweeted a post offering an explanation of the situation. It says, “In a video dated July 28th, Cardi B is seen shouting for a white woman to leave two black women alone as the woman hits their car and yells at them calling them various racially charged expletives for simply taking pictures outside of her building. Somehow, various popular social media pages took one video of the incident and began to spread a narrative that Cardi was simply ‘angry’ and ‘crashing out,’ with some even going as far as trying to tie it to her recent divorce announcement (which didn’t even happen until after this incident).”
Birdman Clarifies His Feelings On Lil Wayne After Essence Festival Set Sparks Rumors Of Animosity
Birdman has shot down the speculation that he dissed Lil Wayne at Essence Festival in New Orleans last month during his “Birdman & Friends” set. Reflecting on the performance during an interview with Gregory “Geedy P” Earls on Monday, the Cash Money Records co-founder said he would never diss Wayne. At the end of his performance, Birdman remarked, “I swear to God on everything I love — and I love nothing more than Ms. Gladys — I will never let my city down and be a p*ssy-ass n***a for nobody.” Wayne didn’t join him for the show and instead performed separately, leading to rumors of a rift between the two.
“I seen n****s was talking about, ‘Wayne ain’t wanna do this and do that.’ Wayne wasn’t even gonna do Essence. I called my son and asked him to do it because I was doing Birdman & Friends. He did it ’cause I asked him,” he clarified. “We always knew that Wayne was gonna have his own set. Because me and Juvie and Geezy and Fresh, we rehearsed together every day and we had our own set together. But we all knew that Wayne was gonna have his own set. He was only a surprise guest. He had done Essence two years in a row and he turned them down personally, and I asked him would he do it for me, and he did it for me. Shout out to my son Weezy, man.”

From there, he reiterated that his remarks to end the show were not directed at Wayne. “No, no. I ain’t got the heart to say nothing negative about Wayne,” he confirmed. “I love my son, man. That wasn’t what that was about. What I meant by that is I ain’t gonna let this game play me. The game done played a lot of n****s. I ain’t never gonna be a p*ssy-ass n***a to this industry and let them play me. I ain’t built like that and I ain’t gonna let my city down by being a p*ssy-ass n***a.” Check out the full interview below.

Serena Williams Receives Apology From Paris Restaurant After Being Denied Entry
Tennis legend Serena Williams has been in Paris for the last eleven days. She is one of the many celebrities in the country for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Over the weekend, she went out to eat with her children at The Peninsula Paris, a fine dining restaurant attached to one of the most esteemed hotels in the city.
Williams took to X (formerly Twitter) to make her issues with her treatment by the restaurant known. “Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty [sic] restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids,” Williams wrote, sharing a photo of the sign for the luxury hotel. “Always a first. #Olympic2024.” On Monday evening, The Peninsula Paris issued an apology, reaffirming that Williams is always welcome in their restaurant. They also explained their reasoning for turning Williams away, adding that the empty tables she saw were all reserved ahead of time.

Serena Williams Receives Apology From Peninsula Paris Restaurant
After Serena Williams’ original post, fans of hers showed support, especially since she was with her children. Some even accused the restaurant of racism. The Peninsula Paris’ response suggests that Williams being declined was done with much less malicious intent than some of her fans initially believed. Of course, their response also drew a mixed reaction. Some praised the restaurant for honoring the prior reservations made. On the opposite end, one of the top replies to their post asked why they didn’t tell her that while she was there. The implication in that tweet being the restaurant’s statement is more of an attempt at damage control than an accurate telling of events.
As the Olympics enter their final few days, many of the major sports have started to wind down. Gymnastics and swimming concluded over the weekend, while the final track events are set for Thursday. Fans saw Williams most at the gymnastics events, cheering on the Simone Biles-led USA women’s team as they all collected medals. Hopefully, her next visit to The Peninsula Paris goes a lot better than the last one did.

Kendrick Lamar, Drake, & More Headline The MTV Award Nominees For Hip-Hop
The MTV Video Music Awards are almost here, with September 10 being the air date. So, with just a little bit of time left before the show, the nominees are known, according to HipHopDX. In terms of overall nominations, pop megastar Taylor Swift is leading the way pretty expectedly. She is up for ten categories and her former collaborator Post Malone is tailing right behind with 9. However, we know you want to hear about the hip-hop artists who have the potential to take home the hardware, so let’s get into it.
The main players for 2024 without a doubt are going to be Drake and Kendrick Lamar. However, Eminem at the ripe age of 51, is also being recognized heavily for his efforts this year. In fact, he has six to his name all thanks to his single “Houdini”, excluding one as he is in the running for Artist of the Year. There, he’s competing with Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, and Taylor Swift. As for Drizzy and Kung Fu Kenny, though, here’s where they can win. Out of the latter’s diss records towards The Boy, “Not Like Us” is the one that was selected, unsurprisingly.

It’s been a busy year for Drake. Lakers Coach JJ Redick Locks Completely New Assistant Staff for Next Season
The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to coach their way back to prominence. The storied franchise just announced their revised coaching staff for the 2024-25 season under new head coach JJ Redick who has a lot of expectations depending on who you ask. Redick, never coached a day in his life in the NBA played 15 seasons in the league as a reliable sharp shooter with solid numbers. ICYMI, he was appointed as the Lakers’ head coach earlier this year. Outside of his outside shot, he is known to have a pretty high basketball IQ but that will be put to the test as he takes on the challenges of becoming a coach on a team that has it’s hopes riding on his back, LeBron and Davis, to put it lightly.
Get this, coming on Redick’s team are six assistant coaches, because they fired all of Darvin Ham’s team, including veterans Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks.
Here’s the new staff:
Nate McMillan, Assistant coach:
Nate McMillan brings over two decades of coaching experience to the Lakers. He has previously served as the head coach for the Seattle SuperSonics, Portland Trail Blazers, Indiana Pacers, and most recently, the Atlanta Hawks from 2021-23. McMillan’s extensive experience and his background as a former player transitioning to a coach will be invaluable in supporting Redick as he adjusts to his new role.
Scott Brooks, Assistant coach:
Scott Brooks is another veteran presence on the Lakers’ coaching staff. Brooks had a successful tenure as the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2008-15, leading the team to the NBA Finals in 2012. He most recently served as an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers. Brooks’ wealth of knowledge and experience will be crucial for the Lakers’ coaching team.
Bob Beyer, Assistant coach:
Bob Beyer has a long coaching career that began at the collegiate level in 1983. Though he has never been an NBA head coach, Beyer has been an assistant coach in the league for over two decades, working with eight different franchises. His extensive experience will provide another layer of support for Redick.
Greg St. Jean, Assistant coach:
Greg St. Jean was part of the Lakers’ player development staff when the team won the championship in the bubble in 2020 under Frank Vogel. His familiarity with the organization and his experience working with key players like LeBron James and Anthony Davis make his return a strategic move for the Lakers.
Lindsey Harding, Assistant coach:
Lindsey Harding, who starred at Duke alongside Redick in the mid-2000s, joins the Lakers after a successful career in the WNBA and a subsequent rise through the coaching ranks. Harding was named G League Coach of the Year last season for her work with the Stockton Kings. Her hiring marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first female coach in Lakers history.
Beau Levesque, Assistant coach:
Beau Levesque, after a brief playing career overseas, transitioned into coaching and was most recently the player development coordinator for the Los Angeles Clippers. Redick has emphasized the importance of player development, and Levesque’s role will be central to that focus.
Good luck to these new coaches, because as we know what lies ahead in the NBA’s Western Conference … they’re going to need it.

Machine Gun Kelly Divulges On His Rehab Journey
Machine Gun Kelly guested on Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast on Monday. During their near two-hour conversation, they touched on a number of topics, including his rough childhood, issues with his mother, and why he left hip-hop to do rock instead. MGK also revealed that he has been sober for a year, having gone to rehab at the conclusion of his European tour for several substance-related issues.
“I’m completely sober from everything. I don’t drink anymore. I haven’t drank since last August,” MGK revealed. The Cleveland artist says being sober has benefited his relationship with his daughter Casie. “I’m really happy when I’m clear and me and my daughter are having our conversations and I’m coming from a place of being centered and holding space for what a child needs from their parent,” he added. “Both of my feet are on the ground and I’m unstoppable.” MGK also recalled his daughter saying that she knew when he was high during their conversations, which was a wake-up call.
Machine Gun Kelly Reveals He Is Completely Sober After Rehab Stint
In March, Megan Fox confirmed her and MGK’s engagement was off. During the recent interview, MGK admits his substance abuse had to do with the relationship ending. He also mentioned that Fox’s disappointment in him not being able to get clean was part of the reason he went to rehab at all. The two have been in a relationship since 2020. Fox also sparked pregnancy rumors after her cameo in the video for MGK and Jelly Roll’s song, “Lonely Road.“
At one point during the show, Bunnie asked MGK if he was up for a drinking contest against Jelly Roll. Kelly had to politely decline, though he did make it clear that he would have taken up that offer if he wasn’t on the sobriety path. “It just kills me because I just know I would have f*cking drank that man under the table!” It was a brief moment of levity during what appeared to be a very heavy podcast episode. MGK’s full conversation with Bunnie XO is available everywhere that podcasts are available, though the video version is not yet on her YouTube channel.
