Lava has since come out in defense of Tyson, though she still stepped down from the MrBeast channel. The Accusations Unveiled

The accusations against Ava Kris Tyson are primarily focused on her interactions on social media throughout the years. Tyson, who transitioned in 2023, has been the subject of significant anti-LGBTQ+ harassment since then. Recent allegations suggest that starting in 2016, when Tyson was 20, she engaged in inappropriate correspondence with a user named LavaGS, who was then 13. Lava, now 20 and an editor, later took a job with MrBeast and visited the Beast compound. These interactions have led some to believe that Lava was “groomed” by Tyson.

Tyson’s Defense

Tyson took to social media to vehemently deny the grooming allegations. In a series of posts, she stated that she had never groomed anyone, specifically mentioning Lava. Tyson admitted that her past humor was inappropriate and expressed her commitment to personal growth. Lava also supported Tyson’s statement by tweeting that he was not a victim and that their interactions were being misrepresented by others.

“I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone. It was not my intent. Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health,” Tyson wrote. “I want to add, I never groomed anyone. The person who gets brought up in these accusations @LavaGS has vocally supported that they are false.”

MrBeast’s Response

Following a brief period of silence and immense backlash, Beast issued a statement regarding Tyson’s online behavior. In the tweet, the YouTuber expressed his disgust surrounding the alleged comments made by Tyson. He also said that he’s hiring an independent investigator to look into the matter. 

“Over the last few days, I’ve become aware of the serious allegations of Ava Tyson’s behavior online and I am disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts. During that time, I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts,” he wrote. “That said, I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions.I will allow the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will take any further actions based on their findings..”

Reactions From Involved Parties

Lava, in an interview with Rolling Stone, claimed that his story had been distorted by the creators who first brought these allegations to light. He insisted that their portrayal of the events was misleading and motivated by an agenda. The creators in question denied any intentional wrongdoing, arguing that Tyson’s actions needed to be exposed. Lava emphasized that he had always viewed his interactions with Tyson as benign and typical of his friendships at that age.

The 2024 Olympics opening ceremony in Paris turned out to be a grand spectacle, with Lady Gaga putting on a dazzling show on the banks of the Siene, metal band Gojira putting in an unexpected appearance alongside a reminder of the French attitude toward royalty, and a performer that viewers couldn’t help comparing to an American peer with dog-themed name. Incidentally, it wasn’t Snoop!

As French rapper Rim’K, a long tenured fixture of the French hip-hop scene, performed, Twitter’s trending topics lit up with mentions of “French Pitbull” as viewers noted his uncanny resemblance to Mr. Worldwide.

Rim’K is of Algerian descent, and regularly references the country in his often political songs. He released his debut album, L’enfant du pays, in 2004, reaching No. 8 on the French charts, and he’s continued releasing music at a fairly impressive clip until recently; his last album, Mutant, came out in 2018 and peaked at No. 6 on the French charts. Rim’K is also a member of the group 113 and the larger collective Mafia K-1 Fry. He’s credited for introducing Maghrebian folk rhythms to rap, and is considered one of France’s premier rappers.

Yella Beezy’s Attorney Responds To Lawsuit After Alleged Chris Brown Concert Brawl

Earlier this week, Chris Brown and Yella Beezy were hit with a lawsuit from four men accusing them of assault. The men allege that they were invited by Brown to enjoy his VIP experience in Forth Worth, but once they arrived, things took an unfortunate turn. They accuse Brown of telling his entourage, including Yella Beezy, to beat them up over some old beef. The alleged victims are seeking a whopping $50 million in damages.

Now, however, Beezy’s attorney Daryl K. Washington has issued a statement in response to the lawsuit. “Based on the information that we know, the lawsuit that includes Markies Conway, or Yella Beezy, is frivolous and without merit,” it begins. “[Yella Beezy] was not involved in any incident, did not have any contact with the Plaintiffs, and does not understand why he is named party in the lawsuit or the temporary restraining order that was clearly filed before all facts were obtained and verified.”

Washington also insists that there is “no evidence to support the accusations” against his client, and shared plans to “hold accountable any person” who appears to be trying to damage Beezy’s reputation. As for Brown, he’s yet to address his latest legal drama and was hit with yet another lawsuit yesterday. Frederick R. Overpeck claims he worked security the night of the incident and alleges that he was badly injured while trying to break things up. He alleges that he was punched and kicked amid the debacle, leaving him with cracked vertebrae and serious hip damage.

His “Did It First” collaborator was asked about it in a Rolling Stone interview to which she replied, “We’ve been friends since ‘Munch’ came out, honestly… we’re just twins…”. While that is one less headache to worry about, it appears that he is still without a lover. Ultimately, it will be up to Argy if she wants to take him back after all of the confusion he involved her with. It might be why Central Cee is dropping “gen z luv” right now.

This is supposedly the second single for his rumored LP, CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS, with the first one being “BAND4BAND” with Lil Baby. On this record, Cee is wanting to tell his future how mommy and daddy met. It seems that he feels this generation’s way of finding that special someone is the best and only reliable method. “If it weren’t for the algorithm, I wouldn’t have found my woman“. All of these ideas are splayed out over a moody drill instrumental that sounds an interpolation of the sexy drill wave. Fans have been spinning it quite a bit, however we are pretty lukewarm on it. A$AP Rocky Previews Upcoming Tyler, The Creator Collab At “DON’T BE DUMB” Listening Party

Out of all of the hyped-up album releases for hip-hop in 2024, A$AP Rocky’s DON’T BE DUMB is very high on a lot of people’s lists. There was some hope that it would come last year but if we’re being honest, people have been waiting on some sort of project from him for years. Of course, the last full-length studio project we got was 2018’s Testing. But it seems that fans of his are finally going to get their hands on it soon, as Rocky announced it was going to be out on August 30 via a short teaser trailer. There has been some info in regard to the producers that are going to be on it, but not so much in terms of the rappers and singers. That is until yesterday when A$AP Rocky previewed a snippet that sees him working alongside his dear friend, Tyler, The Creator.

According to NFR Podcast, the New Yorker gave attendees at his DON’T BE DUMB listening party some sneak peeks of the album. This one seems to be making all the noise right now, as you can audibly hear Tyler in the clip below. From what it sounds like, the production appears to be pretty atmospheric, a signature of Rocky’s aesthetic. If this album and song see a release, it would be the longtime duo’s first in just about a year.

Future Rocky & Tyler Banger Inbound?

It would be a successor to “WHARF TALK”, a Tyler, The Creator track off of the Estate Sale version of CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST. Overall, this a tandem known for dropping consistent levels of greatness whenever their talents collide. Records like “Who Dat Boy”, “Potato Salad”, and “Telephone Calls” are all fire in their own way, and we can only imagine this DON’T BE DUMB joint will be more of the same. Hopefully, though, we do in fact wake up to the LP on “AWGEST 30TH”.

HoneyKomb Brazy Accepts Plea Deal In Federal Gun Case

In December of 2023, HoneyKomb Brazy and two associates were pulled over by police in Alabama, and soon after charged with possession of a firearm. Reportedly, upon searching the vehicle, officers found a Girson MC28 SA 9mm pistol and a Smith and Wesson MP 15 AR pistol. One of the rapper’s associates, bodyguard Miguel Hall, pleaded guilty to the federal gun charge in May of this year. At the time, Brazy appeared ready to go to trial to fight the case.

Now, according to new legal documents obtained by XXL, HoneyKomb Brazy has pleaded guilty as well. Reportedly, this is part of a plea deal that also saw both the defense and prosecutors recommend a sentence of between two-and-a-half and three-and-a-half years behind bars. He’s scheduled to appear in court on October 25, where Judge Kristi DuBose will hand him his sentence.

HoneyKomb Brazy Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge

As for Hall, he’s scheduled to learn his fate in September. He could be facing up to 15 years in prison. Reportedly, he was previously prohibited from owning a firearm due to a past protection from abuse order. Aside from a hefty prison sentence, Hall could also be looking at a $250K fine and three years of supervised release. Per his plea deal, the prosecution will not bring any additional charges against him and will recommend a shorter sentence.

The news comes after it was revealed last January that authorities had been monitoring Brazy on social media. This was due to the fact that he was a “subject of multiple investigations for years.” Reportedly, Special Agent Evan Fisher found out where Brazy was the night of his arrest based on his posts, though he didn’t specify why he was a person of interest. French Montana Criticized For New Friendship With Donald Trump’s Daughter-In-Law

Fans are criticizing French Montana for getting close to Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump. Lara is married to Trump’s son Eric and, like the rest of the Trump family, has been criticized for her views. One issue the Trump family feels particularly strongly about is immigration. Montana is Moroccan from a Muslim household, immigrating to the United States with his family when he was 13. He was not a full US citizen until 2018, at the age of 34.

French Montana took to Instagram to post a photo and a video of him and Lara Trump in the studio together. Trump is also the co-chair of the Republican National Committee. She delivered a speech at the Republican National Convention earlier this month, giving an unsurprising endorsement of her father-in-law’s reelection campaign. Fans criticized Montana for the move, believing it directly contradicts his own history as an immigrant. “Project 2025 literally says they want to ban Muslims and send all the immigrants back to their homeland, so good luck with that,” said one of the top replies to Montana’s post. At the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency, he signed an executive order banning travel from six primarily Muslim countries. Project 2025, the conservative “to-do list” in the event of a second Trump term, outlines further plans to restrict their rights in the United States.

French Montana Criticized For Becoming Friends With Lara Trump

French Montana is far from the only rapper to show support for Donald Trump. Kodak Black recently reiterated his views, which he first publicized after Trump pardoned him in 2021. Benny The Butcher confirmed his stance earlier this year, even saying he had an opportunity to meet Trump. He declined the offer. Sexyy Red said she wanted Trump back in office on a podcast appearance in October 2023, a stance she has held ever since. She performed with a giant “Make America Sexyy Again” hat on stage at Rolling Loud California earlier this year.

French Montana’s latest move comes shortly after he associated with another far-right figure: accused rapist and social media personality Andrew Tate. Montana brought out Tate during a recent festival appearance in Romania and said, “Romania loves you, my brother.” He then dedicated a song to Tate, who later asked those in attendance to chant “escape the matrix.” Montana has had an interesting last two weeks, and based on the replies to his latest post, disappointed many of his fans by aligning with two highly controversial figures.

Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, & Big Sean Preach The Gospel Of Hustle On DJ Premier’s “Ya Don’t Stop”

If you want to be able to succeed and live a fulfilling life, you are going to need a hardworking mindset. That is something that Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Big Sean and DJ Premier certainly have, as all four music titans land on one track called “Ya Don’t Stop”. This is the latter’s newest release, and it follows-up “Gonna Be Me (the friendship song)” with O.A.R. and Brady Watt most recently. However, it also comes after collaborations with Chance the Rapper, Nas, Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger, as well as Russ. With so many big-time voices and just three minutes of run time, how does it all come together?

In our opinion, DJ Premier has another successful offering here with “Ya Don’t Stop”. Leading up to it’s release, some fans were pointing out that Ross and Wayne were going to be on this record. This would not even be a subplot a few years ago. However, with Drake being is Rozay’s crosshairs and Weezy mostly being okay with The Boy (maybe?), things are different. Thankfully, the chemistry is solid all around. Big Sean ties everything up nicely with his catchy hook that centers the song’s focus on grinding to live lavishly. Wayne probably has the best performance of everyone, as he continues to shred his feature appearances lately.
