MrBeast Reality Will Award $5 Million Grand Prize - Biggest in TV History On New Prime Video Reality Show

Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, the biggest YouTuber in the world with 245 million subscribers whose brand is aligned with big-money giveaways, is thinking even bigger on his new reality show, Beast Games, which is in the works at Amazon’s Prime Video. Variety reports that his show, which he’s calling Beast Games, “is a reality-competition show promising the winner a $5 million cash prize.” This seems to be the biggest payout ever in TV history.

Details remain under wraps. However, according to Prime Video, the show will feature 1,000 contestants, yes 1,000, all competing for a single $5 million payout in a “fast-paced and high-production format.” That’s a lot of people and whole lotta dough.

MrBeast will serve as the show’s host and executive producer of Beast Games. There’s no premiere date, but the show will only be available on Prime Video worldwide.

“My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms,” MrBeast said in a statement. Amazon gave me the creative control I needed to try and make it happen. I hope to make the YouTube community proud.”

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, said, “MrBeast has captured the attention and imagination of fans of all ages, from all walks of life, and all over the world. We are excited to work with Jimmy and his talented team to bring his brilliant, high production, and stakes-raising concepts to Beast Games for our global customers to experience.”

“When MrBeast first told us about his concept for the show, we were blown away by his ambition to make Beast Games the biggest reality competition series ever,” from Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. Sanders also thanked Spotter, and their founder Aaron DeBevoise and president Nic Paul, for the introduction to MrBeast “and kickstarting this journey for us.” Spotter pays YouTube creators cash for the rights to monetize their video libraries and helps them grow their fanbases, counts MrBeast as a client.

Variety also reports MrBeast, who currently works and lives in Greenville, N.C., generated roughly 82 million in gross earnings from June 2022-June 2023, according to Forbes, more than twice the earnings of the closest digital creator.

MrBeast Buries Himself Alive For 7 Days

MrBeast buried himself alive for a week straight in his latest YouTube video. In doing so, the 25-year-old brought along MREs and other Feastables snacks as well as a five-gallon can of water and more essentials to get him through the journey. He shared the video on Saturday, writing on Twitter: “I spent a week buried alive because you all really liked when I did it for 50 hours.. It was hard af, go watch!”

In the video, he explains: “The goal is to sleep as much through this challenge as possible, for my own sanity.” At one point, he becomes overwhelmed with emotions and admits he’s been struggling to sleep. “I hope tomorrow’s easier. It’s a weird feeling. I am very tired, but for some reason I can’t sleep. I don’t know. I’ve never had this happen before. Why am I crying? I don’t know,” he says.

In eventually accomplishing the feat, MrBeast celebrated hitting 200 million subscribers on YouTube. Growing to that level of fame hasn’t come without its disadvantages. MrBeast has dealt with backlash for several of his videos in recent months. After helping provide 100 wells in Africa, in November, he wrote on Twitter that he was going to be “canceled” for the effort. After facing criticism, he tweeted: “I already know I’m gonna get canceled because I uploaded a video helping people, and to be 100% clear, I don’t care. I’m always going to use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same.”

MrBeast Helps Build 100 Wells In Africa, Says He’s “Gonna Get Canceled” For It

MrBeast says that he’s “gonna get canceled” after providing 100 wells across Africa in his latest video in hopes of getting fresh water for those without access. Prior to sharing the video, he wrote on Twitter: “We’ve spent over 8 months working on tomorrow’s video and it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done! SO EXCITED FOR YOU ALL TO WATCH IT.” Some users online began criticizing him for the video after he dropped it.

In response to the backlash, he wrote: “I already know I’m gonna get canceled because I uploaded a video helping people, and to be 100% clear, I don’t care. I’m always going to use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same.”

As for people’s complaints with the video, one user on Twitter responded to MrBeast: “Oo you’re ‘ard. We don’t give a f*ck that you’re helping people we’d just rather you didn’t make 90% of the runtime shots of Kenyan children treating you like you’re god while doing the bare minimum to address issues surrounding why they need wells in the first place.” They added in a follow-up post, “NOT A SINGLE F*CKING FLEETING MENTION OF CLIMATE CHANGE.” Other fans defended MrBeast. One replied: “Many individuals are going hate you and your video content for silliest and nonsensical reasons, but keep being yourself and keep producing great content. Excellent job on the new video! It’s heartening to witness many people having access to fresh, safe drinking water.”

In the video itself, MrBeast travels to Zimbabwe where he and his team help a hospital with a new water source. In Kenya, he works with a local school and donates tanks in which residents can store fresh water. Be on the lookout for further updates on MrBeast on HotNewHipHop.

xQc Reveals How Much His Contracts Are Worth, Speaks On MrBeast Controversy

xQc has claimed that the combined worth of his gambling promotion deals and streaming contract with Kick is in excess of $275 million. The former pro Overwatch player made the massive claim on a recent stream. xQc was once one of the biggest names of Twitch, quitting his esports career to stream full-time. However, he left Twitch to join Kick on a massive deal last year. Despite this, xQc could be exaggerating the amount his contract is worth. Kick cofounder Trainwrecks has stated that a lot of the numbers streamers have publicly stated about their streaming contracts are untrue. Furthermore, Trainwrecks noted that these inflated figures have actually hurt Kick’s ability to contract new streamers to the site.

However, xQc certainly is one of the biggest streamers around right now. And as part of the same stream, he also took some shots at one of the biggest content creators out there. Weighing in on the ongoing MrBeast controversy, xQc claimed that all of MrBeast’s challenge videos are scripted. xQc, who has participated in a number of the content creator challenge videos, claimed that everything is planned in advance. It’s a huge claim, especially for someone like MrBeast, who has built his entire brand on authenticity.

MrBeast Controversy Explained

xQc’s comments come after actress and content creator Rosanna Pansino claimed that MrBeast edited her out of a $1M hide-and-seek video. Pansino claims that she finished second in the event behind another creator called Quackity. However, Pansino claims that both she and Quackity were edited out of the final three in favor of the likes of Logan Paul. After making her claims on social media, MrBeast reached out to her directly but appeared unwilling to say anything in text messages, insisting that they call and discuss the issue.

However, Pansino has since apologized to MrBeast for taking her accusations public and has deleted all her content relating to the controversy. While she has not walked back her allegations, she attributed her dropping the matter to the “thousands of death threats” she had received from MrBeast’s loyal fanbase. While Pansino appears to be looking to move on from her allegations, xQc’s comments may only serve to once more stoke the flames of the entire thing.

Tom Brady On Possibility Of Unretiring Again: “My Family Would Kill Me”

Tom Brady has once more shut down the idea that he might one day return to the NFL, saying his family would “kill him” if he did. The latest broaching of the topic came after YouTuber MrBeast suggested that the ratings of Brady’s Let’s Go podcast, on which Beast was guesting, would skyrocket if Brady returned to the league. “My parents would call, my kids would call. They’d kill me. I wouldn’t be around by tonight,” Brady said.

Furthermore, it’s not a statement without precedent. Brady’s decision to unretire and play in the 2022 NFL season was widely been cited as one of the factors that led to his high-profile divorce from Gisele Bündchen. However, Brady has been adamant that his retirement following the 2022 season is final. He won’t be coming back to the league to help the Pats, Jets, Raiders, or whoever else desperately needs a starting quarterback.

Tom Brady Hints At Private Life Drama

However, maybe staying from football is the best thing for Brady right now. In a recent episode of Let’s Go, Brady hinted at some trouble behind the scenes in his life. “We should all have self-awareness, it’s a hard trait to have. “We’re in a culture where it’s hard to own up to things these days. For someone like me, I’m in the public eye a lot. I always try to say the right thing. I don’t want to deal with any more drama in my life, I already have a lot of drama,” Brady said. It’s unclear what drama Brady is referring to in particular.

However, one likely source may be his love life. Brady split with long-time wife Gisele Bündchen last year. Bündchen has begun to open up about the divorce in more detail in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Brady has been linked to a fling with Russian model Irina Shayk. Despite this, reports suggest that Shayk is more interested in getting hitched to her long-time ex, Bradley Cooper.

MrBeast Warns Fans About A.I. Deepfakes: “This Is A Serious Problem”

Recently, MrBeast took to social media to warn fans of the dangers surrounding deepfakes generated using artificial intelligence. The internet personality shared a clip of an advertisement he claims his supporters have been seeing as of late, which features a deepfake of him promoting what appears to be a scam. The deepfake of him encourages his fans to click a link in order to claim an iPhone for only $2, claiming that he’s doing “the world’s largest iPhone 15 giveaway.”

Apparently, the account that posted the video is also verified on TikTok, making it all the more possible for supporters to be tricked. “Lots of people are getting this deepfake scam ad of me,” MrBeast captioned the clip. “Are social media platforms ready to handle the rise of AI deepfakes? This is a serious problem.” To most people, it’s probably obvious that the video is A.I. generated. With that being said, a large portion of his following is made up of children, who are far more likely to be lured in by the thought of getting an unbelievably cheap gadget.

MrBeast Brings Attention To A.I. Deepfake Scams

MrBeast is also known for blessing strangers with out-of-pocket gifts, which could make the deepfake’s claims more convincing. Previously, he’s given out luxury cars, bags full of money, and much more. Clearly, the fact that artificial intelligence allows people to create videos of anybody doing anything they want is pretty scary. It seems as though the general consensus is that this particular one of MrBeast is easy to spot. Despite this, it remains important for internet users not to believe everything they see, particularly if their favorite YouTuber is promising them a free or shockingly cheap device.

What do you think of MrBeast warning people about the dangers of A.I. deepfakes? Do you find this A.I. deepfake of MrBeast to be convincing, or did you know it was fake right away? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more news.

MrBeast Sued For $100 Million Over MrBeast Burger Fiasco

MrBeast remains one of the biggest YouTubers in the entire world. Overall, he is someone who has amassed a humongous following. Moreover, if you watch his videos, you know that they are always wild in terms of scale. He spends a lot of money on his production quality, and he always wants to put his best foot forward. Ultimately, this is an incredibly admirable approach. This is especially true when you consider how many of his videos feature philanthropic endeavors.

Recently, we reported that MrBeast was actually suing Virtual Dining Concepts over the perceived failure of MrBeast Burger. For months, MrBeast had been told that his burger chain was serving “disgusting” food. Of course, it is operated out of Ghost Kitchens, which means the YouTube star didn’t have much control over the quality. His lawsuit was a way for him to get out of his deal. Now, however, he is being sued back, as VDC claims he failed to uphold his contractual obligations. This lawsuit is for close to $100 million, which makes the stakes that much higher.

MrBeast At War

VDC has made it clear that they feel MrBeast’s initial lawsuit is simply “meritless.” Moreover, they have issued a statement within their suit that speaks to how they feel about the content creator. “This case is about a social media celebrity who believes his fame means that his word does not matter, that the facts do not matter, and that he can renege and breach his contractual obligations without consequence,” they say. “He is mistaken.”

Furthermore, VDC is upset with how MrBeast so publically denounced his own burger chain. On numerous occasions, he took to Twitter saying that his reputation was being ruined and that he was unhappy with what became of his endeavor. Needless to say, this war between the YouTube legend and VDC is going to be interesting. Let us know what you think of the situation, in the comments section below.

MrBeast Sues MrBeast Burger Partner Over “Disgusting” Burgers

Chances are that if you’ve used a food delivery app in the last few years, you’ve seen the option to order from MrBeast Burger. The burger chain was founded by the eponymous YouTuber in 2020. However, MrBeast Burger doesn’t actually exist – it’s a ghost kitchen. Initially, the company worked with a handful of vetted brick-and-mortar restaurants that would fulfill orders made through delivery apps like Grubhub and Postmates. However, as the business expanded, the company running it needed more and more suppliers. Reports from several made media outlets have demonstrated how easy it is to earn a “virtual food contract” with MrBeast Burger. The company is operated by Virtual Dining Concepts LLC.

Over the years, this has led to increased complaints of subpar food and delivery standards. Many users report that their food is delivered in unmarked boxes with no visible branding whatsoever. Furthermore, in March 2023, YouTuber Eddy Burback made a now often-cited video about ghost kitchens. The video was heavily influenced by MrBeast Burger and featured the YouTuber in the thumbnail. In July 2023, fans questioned why the MrBeast Burger announcement video had been deleted from YouTube. Donaldson replied, stating that he was “moving on from MrBeast Burger” to “focus on Feastables and making snacks.” He also said he had signed a “bad deal” with Virtual Dining Concepts before the posts were deleted.

MrBeast Goes To Court

On July 31, MrBeast filed a lawsuit against Virtual Dining Concepts, seeking to end their partnership. The lawsuit claims that the YouTuber had consistently raised issues about quality control, which had “fallen on deaf ears” as VDC focused more on expanding the brand as much as they could. “Virtual Dining Concepts was more focused on rapidly expanding the business as a way to pitch the virtual restaurant model to other celebrities for its own benefit. Tt was not focused on controlling the quality of the MrBeast Burger customer experience and products.”

“Customers have referred to the burgers as being ‘disgusting,’ ‘revolting,’ and ‘inedible.’ They have claimed that ‘it is sad that MrBeast would put his name on this.” Others said that “MrBeast is being canceled over burgers.” Meanwhile, many said they ‘never had something so nasty;’ ‘inaccurate marketing;’ and ‘very upsetting for the high price.” All these reviews and more were cited in the lawsuit. While many of the YouTuber’s fans have voiced their support for him, not everyone views him as the victim. Many have pointed out that this is the nature of ghost kitchen operations and that the multi-millionaire is merely trying to save face. Neither the YouTuber nor VDC have publicly responded to the lawsuit.

Tom Brady Links Up With MrBeast, Shows His Arm Is Still Great

Tom Brady can now say that he’s been in a MrBeast video, who you can argue is the Tom Brady of YouTube. Of course, MrBeast is the massively popular YouTube that the internet either loves or hates. He’s best known for videos flexing his incredible wealth, doing philanthropy, or recreating things like Squid Game. Meanwhile, Tom Brady is just some guy who threw a football pretty well in the NFL.

Jokes aside, Tom Brady is currently living life post-NFL after officially retiring earlier this year. He’s bought some sports teams, confirmed that he’s definitely staying retired despite those sports teams sucking, and also prepared to become a broadcaster on Fox in 2024. However, in case he ever needs to find a job again, “Was in MrBeast video” is a pretty good thing to put on his resume.

Tom Brady Appears In MrBeast Luxury Yacht Video

The link-up occurred in MrBeast’s June 10 video “$1 v $1,000,000,000 yacht”. The YouTuber works his way through various levels of yacht, scaled by pricing. That’s when TB12 himself appears, running into MrBeast around the $300 million price point. MrBeast challenges Brady to try and hit his drone cam with a football, which Brady agrees to. However, humble ol’ Tom plays up the whole “oh I don’t think I can” routine. In fact, he goes as far as to say that if he gets it first try, he’ll un-retire.

MrBeast sets up the drone about 20 or 30 yards away from the yacht. Brady had a career completion percentage of 64.3% on passes over 20 yards. And of course, Brady threads a beautiful pass right into the body of the drone, which goes tumbling towards the sea below. And if that wasn’t enough, Brady then accepts another challenge to throw a deep ball pass to Beast’s associate, Carl. Carl is about 70 yards out on a jetski and yet Brady once again delivers a perfect downfield pass. The challenge is spoiled a little by Carl completely fumbling the catch but that’s completely on him as Brady’s pass is perfect. What do you think Brady’s trick throws? Let us know in the comments. MrBeast Calls Out Transphobia Aimed At Friend

If there are two things America seemingly hates, it’s trans people and MrBeast. 2023 alone has seen the introduction of 496 anti-LGBTQ bills into state and national legislatures. A vast majority of these bills explicitly target transgender individuals in a variety of ways. These bills range from removing protected category status to the forcible de-transition of minors receiving hormone therapy in that state.

As for MrBeast, the YouTuber is loved and loathed in equal measure. Despite his 145 million subscribers, his content is often the subject of public scrutiny. Sometimes it’s for questionable video subjects or tweets, such as building a real-life replica of the death game from Netflix’s satirical drama Squid Game or asking fans to neaten store displays of his candy bar, Feastables. Other times it’s for what people see as his engagement in “poverty porn”, the act of engaging in philanthropy to seek credit, status, or a monetary return. However, these two hot-button issues have now collided due to a recent video.

“All This Transphobia Is Starting To Piss Me Off”

SunnyV2 is a video essay YouTuber with 3.38 million subscribers. Their most popular videos include How Primitive Building Videos Are Staged and The Tragic Transformation of Nikocado Avocado. On April 13, they uploaded Why Chris Will Soon Be A Nightmare For MrBeast. The video focuses on Chris Tyson, a long-time friend of MrBeast, who has recently opened up about starting HRT and dressing in a more feminine manner. Sunny argues that Tyson, who uses any pronouns and does not explicitly identify as transgender at this time, will cause a fall in MrBeast’s popularity. The video was met with derision from some and support from others. Many called it out as openly transphobic and pointed to other instances of Sunny misgendering gender non-conforming individuals. However, it also received a wave of support from other sources, with people using it as an opportunity to push anti-trans rhetoric.

Eventually, MrBeast gave his take. Responding to a tweet that called the video “invasive”, Beast said, “Yeah, this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my “nightmare” he’s my fucken friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to piss me off.” This was hailed as a “MrBeast says trans rights” moment by many (even though some of that MrBeast money helping fight anti-trans legislation would be an even bigger trans rights moment). However, it was a clear indication that Sunny’s video had crossed a line for the typically hands-off MrBeast. He has publicly stood by his friend while also taking a stance on the rhetoric created by Sunny’s video.
