The Weeknd Seemingly Teases Collaboration With Apple

The Weeknd appears to have something in the works with Apple after sharing a picture of framed photos of the company’s logo on his Instagram Story on Saturday. It would stand to reason that he took the picture at the company’s headquarters. He didn’t elaborate much with his caption for the post, only adding three emojis: the eyes emoji, the music notes emoji, and the film camera emoji.

The Weeknd has been teasing having another album in store for years at this point. In 2022, he revealed that his previous two projects, After Hours and DawnFM, were part of a trilogy. Additionally, he shared the cover art for both of those albums followed by a question mark on Instagram, earlier this year. In the caption, he only wrote the number three.

Despite not announcing his next album officially, he’s still been active with new music in the form of features. He recently made an appearance on Metro Boomin and Future’s collaborative album, We Still Don’t Trust You. Speaking with Spotify’s RapCaviar after its release, Metro revealed that he also contributed production for an upcoming album from The Weeknd.  “Me and him working on a lot of stuff. You know, we cookin’ up for his new album. A lot of people gonna be real pleased and even more happier,” he said ahead of a show in Eygpt.

Yungeen Ace Gets Vulnerable On New Single “Rain On Me”

It goes without saying that Yungeen Ace has been through a lot over the past few months. Back in April, the performer was arrested in his hometown of Jacksonville, FL, and hit with charges of possessing a firearm, weapon, or ammunition as a convicted felon. Just before his arrest, the 26-year-old shared the tragic news of his brother’s passing on Instagram. While it’s surely been a difficult ride for the young artist, fans are glad that he’s managed to find a healthy outlet with his music and continue to advance in his career.

At the end of March, Yungeen Ace did just this with his project Forgotten Star. The 15-track effort sees him channel his feelings into vulnerable tracks like “Mama Tears,” “Heart Burning,” “Hardest Thing Ever,” and more. He also went at it alone, with zero features throughout the entire album.

Yungeen Ace Proves He’s Focused With Emotional New Track

Now, only a couple of months after the release of Forgotten Star, Yungeen Ace is back with yet another introspective track, “Rain On Me.” In the melodic and emotional song, the rapper reflects on the various obstacles he’s previously had to overcome. He confirms that despite it all, he’s fully committed to staying “focused.” His latest release also arrived alongside a dramatic visual, which sees Ace singing in the rain, making calls at a lonely payphone, and more. Check it out above.

Kehlani & Lucky Daye Are As Sweet As Ever On Our New “R&B Season” Playlist Update: Stream

Welcome to June, a month that not only kicks off our 2024 summer but has also brought us some killer tracks from the R&B world which we’ve compiled on our latest R&B Season playlist update. Up first is the new Kehlani single “Next 2 U,” whose music video advocates for folks suffering in Palestine in a powerful way. Moreover, the track mixes industrial distortion, heavenly vocals, a crisp percussive treatment, and wavy synths to craft a really unique and engaging cut. Whatever they’ve got cooking up on the upcoming CRASH, it’s sure to be another hit, as everything so far this year has been impressive on all fronts.

Next up is another R&B-rooted, but genre-fusing single, this time from Lucky Daye’s charismatic croons and lovestruck lyrics. “Soft” is anything but, as its energy really comes through thanks to driving guitars, spotlit vocal passion, a funky bassline, and drums that shift between hard grooves and more subtle approaches with ease. As far as the vocal melodies and the syncopation on display here, this is what brings the song its soul and personality to the fullest. Add on top of that a dynamic midway point and some soaring solos at the end, and you’ve got a full plate.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist: Stream

Another R&B Season highlight this week is Jessie Reyez and Big Sean’s “SHUT UP,” whose heavy bass and instantly boisterous flows combine its atmosphere with hip-hop. Still, the vocal delivery from Reyez is as sultry as you might expect from a more soulful cut, so there’s still a lot of stylistic overlap here. As for the Sean Don, he speeds up the cadence and flow a little bit and also rides some extra instrumental embellishments well. Some ethereal background croons give the song a little more room to spread out, but it works in its simplicity.

Normani also continues her 2024 run with “Candy Paint,” a more peppy and minimal single. Finally, we wanted to shout out Muni Long’s “Make Me Forget” for its classic feel and gorgeous vocal runs. Let us know what your favorite R&B Season inclusion was this week, as well as what else we missed, down in the comments section below. Check the playlist out above and, as always, check back in with HNHH for more great music drops around the clock.

Diddy’s Alleged Former Employees Claim They Experienced Violence In The Workplace

Diddy is facing even more allegations of wrongdoing this week, but they don’t have anything to do with the current lawsuits against him. Moreover, The Daily Beast reportedly spoke to five alleged former employees of his businesses, specifically the lifestyle brand Sean John and the former advertising agency Blue Flame. These individuals claim that Sean Combs created a hostile, abusive, and “erratic” workplace environment. One particular female witness (supposedly) alleged that he grabbed her face during a disagreement and wanted her to think of him as Karl Lagerfeld. Others also claimed that they experienced some form of physical, emotional, or mental distress during their time under the bad Boy mogul.

For example, one alleged former employee claimed that Diddy fired him after the employee gave him a disappointed look after he arrived late at a meeting. This, along with other accusations, reportedly led these employees to not feel much surprise when the video of him assaulting Cassie broke. Another account claims that the New York rapper and businessman refused to acknowledge that his workplace felt “inundated” with work. This led to the failure to complete a specific project, which he allegedly refused to take accountability for.

“It was as if you’re walking down the street and someone randomly threw a brick at your head out of the blue,” another alleged former employee claimed about Diddy. “Out of the blue, if he was unhappy with something that you might not have done but he thought you did, you ‘caught a brick.’” They continued their story and alleged that he verbally attacked them to the point that “security guards rushed over. While he’s six inches from my face, screaming at me, telling me I f***ed up.”

“I was surprised by the level of violence that he had toward Cassie in that video,” this particular alleged former employee said of Diddy’s actions. “I didn’t see his anger going to that level, I really didn’t, I wouldn’t have stayed had I known what was going on. I’ll tell you that much.”

The next track-for-track rap beef is on the grill. Cardi B and BIA’s once subtle online dust ups have now become full-on diss records.

On May 31, Cardi B took the first direct shots on GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” remix. Today (June 2), after teasing a snippet on Instagram Live, BIA dropped the official audio to her response record, “Sue Meee?,” despite Cardi B’s threat of legal action.

So, what exactly did BIA say on the record? Continue below for more information.

What Did BIA Say About Cardi B On Her Diss Song “Sue Meee?”

Before BIA even rapped, she subtly shaded Cardi with stock audio, referring to Cardi B previously recording and sharing private telephone conversations online, reportedly including their exchange.

In the record’s opening, BIA, claimed that Cardi cheated on her husband Offset, speculated about her alleged gang affiliation, and subtly mentioned her best friend Star Brim.

“You a f*ck girl I see right through yah / Put it on your gang that they didn’t f*ck you in / Put it on your name since you so gangsta like your f*cking friends / Put it on your hubby since you love lying on your f*cking vows / I write all my verses I can do this sh*t for hours”

Then, BIA clowned Cardi for staying with her husband after he supposedly had sex with another woman in their shared home. She also attempted to poked fun at Cardi for allegedly out earning Offset.

“I’ll be damned if I let a n**** f*ck a b*tch inside my house / Your money long and you split that / Your n**** saying, ‘That’s ours’”

Next, BIA take aim at Cardi’s past cosmetic procedures and self-esteem while naming dropping her children, daughter Kulture and son Wave (who she shares with Offset).

“Put it on God that you ain’t change your face to mine / I’ll get on your ass hoe I don’t have to waste no time / Say you love yourself, but you won’t put that on your kids / All that surgery and how your body look so mid / Thought your ass was for the culture (Kulture) / You just trying to ride the wave (Wave) / You should be home with your kids ’cause you speak like second grade”

Lastly, she referenced Cardi B using outside songwriters such as Pardison Fontaine to allegedly write her biggest records.

“C-A-R-D, cry on IG / Catch another ‘tude ’cause she couldn’t catch a beat / Do I beef with you are beef with Pardi (Pardison Fontaine) / You been scrapping projects since 2019 / Weak ass b*tch
