Chloe X Halle Twerk It Out To A Drake Favorite In The First Video From Halle’s Pregnancy

Now that Halle Bailey has finally revealed the birth of her and DDG’s baby Halo, the floodgates of pregnancy content have opened. After months of Halle staying off social media to protect her mental health, she’s apparently given her sister Chloe the green light to start sharing the videos and photos the two inevitably shot during the pregnancy. Chloe’s first post shows that the baby weight didn’t slow the younger Bailey down one bit as the sisters teamed up to twerk it out to Drake’s For All The Dogs ratchet favorite, “Rich Baby Daddy” featuring Sexyy Red and SZA.

The rumors of Halle’s pregnancy swirled throughout the last quarter of 2023 as the Color Purple star mostly stayed out of the press cycle for the film despite playing a major role in it and being featured heavily in the trailers. Any appearances she did make in public were in very baggy clothing to hide the baby bump. However, the sisters — and DDG — went to extreme lengths to downplay the rumors, with Chloe appearing to address them by telling fans to “keep my sister’s name out your mouth” and DDG trolling fans with a baby doll on a livestream.

Now that the baby has arrived, though, he already has over 50,000 followers on Instagram, despite only having one photo. But in terms of the Bailey fam social media, it seems we’re mostly just happy to see more Chloe X Halle content — and the potential for a follow-up to Ungodly Hour.

Timbaland, R.E.M. Members, And Other Music Legends Are Getting Inducted Into The Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Millions of people have dreamed of a career in music, but only a small percentage of them have actually made it happen, and an even more exclusive portion of that group have gone down in history as being among the best to ever do it. So, getting inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame is a major honor, and now the 2024 class has been unveiled (per Billboard).

Getting inducted as “non-performing” songwriters are Timothy Mosley (Timbaland), Hillary Lindsey (who wrote songs like Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush”), and Dean Pitchford (who wrote Kenny Loggins’ “Footloose” and Bonnie Tyler’s “Holdin’ Out For A Hero”). Also making the cut are R.E.M. members Bill Berry, Peter Buck, Mike Mills and Michael Stipe, and Steely Dan members Donald Fagen and Walter Becker.

HOF chairman Nile Rodgers said in a statement, “We are […] very proud that we are continually recognizing some of the culturally most important songwriters of all time and that the 2024 slate represents not just iconic songs but also diversity and unity across genres, ethnicity and gender, songwriters who have enriched our lives and literally enriched music and the lives of billions of listeners all over the world.”

The inductees will be honored at the 2024 Induction And Awards Gala, which is set for June 13 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Katt Williams Is Producing A New Tupac Album Featuring Unreleased Verses And Cardi B

Did you know that Suge Knight has a podcast? I didn’t, and now I do, and I don’t know what to do with that information. Part of me thinks that there is no way Suge Knight should have a podcast, especially considering he’s currently in prison for running someone over with his SUV.

On the latest episode of this podcast, Collect Call (great name, by the way), Suge’s guest, Katt Williams, claims he’s working on a new posthumous Tupac album with some of the California rapper’s unreleased verses. One unexpected guest he names is Cardi B, which is sure to delight Gen-X and millennial hip-hop fans who grew up on ‘Pac’s music in the ’90s. The discourse is bound to be exhausting.

As they discuss the potential project Williams is putting together, Knight asks, “How many people you gonna have on the project?” Katt says there will be eight, and they’ll be “only the best of the best.” Knight also queries, “I heard Cardi on the project with you, is that true?” After confirming her presence, Knight calls her “the female version of Tupac” and Katt agrees, “We love Cardi B. She’s going to mix with him nicely. Everybody that’s on it is a piece of him, in a way.”

If such a project does come to fruition, we’ll see whether these words turn out to be prophetic or just piss people off (probably both, if we’re being honest). You can listen to the full episode of Collect Call (complete with some head-scratching AI “art” of Suge and Katt) above.

Young Thug’s YSL Co-Founder Defines “Slime” In Court: Watch

Young Thug’s RICO trial is still underway, with YSL co-founder Trontavious Stephens recently being called to the stand. Stephens, who also goes by nicknames Tick and Slug, took a plea deal back in December of 2022. As part of the deal, he’s had to testify, and most fans can agree that it’s been a win for Young Thug’s defense.

Most recently, he was asked to define the term “slime” in court, though his definition may not be exactly what fans expected. According to him, it’s an acronym that stands for “Slug Love I Me Everything.” Social media users have had mixed reactions to the clip. While some think his definition makes a lot of sense, others are cracking jokes.

Slime Means “Slug Love I Me Everything,” Trontavious Stephens Claims

Earlier in the trial, Young Thug’s lawyer similarly made headlines for claiming that the title of the rapper’s track with Future and Gunna, “pushin P,” actually stands for “pushing positivity.” This resulted in countless memes, and even prompted an educational post from Thugger’s Instagram account in December. The post included definitions of several of his frequently used slang terms, such as opp and slime. According to the post, slime means “seeing lord in me everyday,” while opp means “overly positive pal.”

While plenty of fans approve of Stephens’ approach to his testimony, others have been critical, including Ralo. Earlier this month, he took to social media to reveal that he’d never testify like he is, particularly if it concerned one of his own childhood friends. “Man ain’t no way Shawty just got on that stand against his childhood friend,” he Tweeted. “I rather die ah thousand deaths before I do some sh*t like that.” What do you think of Young Thug’s ongoing RICO trial? What about YSL co-founder Trontavious Stephens defining “Slime” in court? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Pharrell Williams Previews Old Miley Cyrus Collab During Cowboy-Inspired Louis Vuitton Fashion Show

Pharrell Williams is easily one of the best creatives of his generation. Overall, he is responsible for some classic songs and projects. Moreover, he is someone who has entered the world of design. For instance, he has done work with BAPE, Billionaire Boys Club, Adidas, and now, Louis Vuitton. In fact, he is currently the head designer over at Louis V and is taking up where Virgil Abloh left off. He has a few fashion shows under his belt already, and these endeavors have proven to be quite successful.

Yesterday, Pharrell got to host his Louis Vuitton fashion show for the Fall/Winter 2024 season. It was a pretty cool show that even featured the likes of Pusha T. Furthermore, a ton of big celebrities were there, including those from the hip-hop world. The new collection is Cowboy-themed and explores the America Old West. It is a really cool concept, and as you can imagine, it was accompanied by some Pharrell music. For instance, below, you can hear a song with none other than Miley Cyrus.

Pharrell Williams x Miley Cyrus

According to HipHopDX, this is actually a pretty old track. It was meant for the album Bangerz which is an infamous project from Cyrus. However, it seems like it is being repurposed. Perhaps an official release could be coming down the pipeline, sometime in the future. That said, Pharrell also got to show off his new song with Mumford and Sons. This is definitely a collab no one saw coming, but alas. Pharrell has always been eager to try new things, and that trend will continue for years to come.

Let us know what you think of this track preview, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects. 2024 is set to be jam-packed with some truly incredible albums and singles.

Kanye West Biological Cloning Trademark Paperwork Hints At Futuristic Plans

Kanye West is a man unlike anyone else in the industry. As a Gemini, his fast-paced mind is constantly picking up new things, so it’s not surprising that he’s reportedly further expanding his resume into the tech world. The father of four was at the forefront of the Stem Player movement amid his DONDA 2 rollout, and since then he’s only further ventured into the possibilities of modern science. After celebrating his wife Bianca Censori’s 29th birthday on the fifth day of the year, Ye notably filed paperwork to trademark the phrase “I MISS YOU WHEN I WAKE UP BEFORE YOU” on January 11.

Today (January 17), XXL has more information on the “Gold Digger” rapper’s future plans thanks to documents they’ve obtained. Most of the goods and services West plans to use the words for are in relation to interior/logo design. Interestingly though, he also named “Cloud seeding,” “Graphoanalysis,” “exploration services in the field of the oil, gas, and mining industries,” and “biological cloning” as areas of interest.

The outlet notes that the trademark office is still awaiting an examiner for the application. For all nine classes to gain approval, Yeezy will need to provide clear examples of goods he plans to sell using his tribute to Censori. We’re curious to see what the 46-year-old has up his sleeve besides the music he spent most of late 2023 working on in Dubai.

While Kanye West strives to be the first rapper in the biological cloning game, his fans are growing more eager to hear his and Ty Dolla Sign’s Vultures LP. Once again, the highly anticipated project is facing delays nearly a month after its initial scheduled release date. Find out when we’re expecting Ye and Dolla’s album to land at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
