Tim Wakefield, Red Sox Legend, Dies At 57

Legendary Red Sox pitcher Time Wakefield is reported to have died at the age of 57. Additionally, his death comes after a private battle with brain cancer. “Our hearts are broken with the loss of Tim Wakefield. Wake embodied true goodness; a devoted husband, father, and teammate, beloved broadcaster, and the ultimate community leader. He gave so much to the game and all of Red Sox Nation. Our deepest love and thoughts are with Stacy, Trevor, Brianna, and the Wakefield family,” the team wrote on X. Wakefield battled the cancer mostly in private. However, his condition was revealed without his consent by former teammate and right-wing commentator Curt Schilling last week.

Drafted by the Pirates in 1988, Wakefield joined the Majors in 1992. However, released by Pittsburgh ahead of the 1995 season, Wakefield joined the Red Sox and would spend the rest of his career in Boston. Additionally, Wakefield earned 200 wins in over 460 starts across his 19-year career. Recording a career ERA of 4.41, Wakefield is best remembered for his hard-throwing knuckleball and 2004 postseason heroics. Furthermore, he won two rings with Boston and retired at the age of 44. Even more impressive is that in 2009, at the age of 42, Wakefield earned his first and only All-Star nod. Furthermore, it wasn’t a respect nomination, Wakefield was having one of the best years of his career.

Baseball Mourns Tim Wakefield

“Tim’s kindness and indomitable spirit were as legendary as his knuckleball. He not only captivated us on the field but was the rare athlete whose legacy extended beyond the record books to the countless lives he touched with his warmth and genuine spirit. He had a remarkable ability to uplift, inspire, and connect with others in a way that showed us the true definition of greatness. Embodying the very best of what it means to be a member of the Boston Red Sox, his loss is felt deeply by all of us,” Red Sox owner John Henry said in a statement.

“He was just a great competitor when he took that mound. He was just a great teammate and just a great friend. I had the opportunity to work with him on the field and in the booth, and I’m just glad I had the opportunity over the years to be alongside him. And just an amazing husband, father, and community leader. He really enjoyed people and he really enjoyed being around people. And today we lost one of the good ones,” former Red Sox first baseball Kevin Youkilis said ahead of the Red Sox’s season finale against the Orioles.

Via a new Instagram post, Tina revealed that the 11-year-old has actually been her makeup artist for years now. She shared a heartening caption, and gave Ivy her flowers in the video itself.

“Hi!” Tina Knowles began in the video. “I’m here with the makeup extraordinaire, Miss Blue Ivy Carter. She just did my makeup! She’s been doing my makeup for years. And I really like it. I just don’t know about- I don’t know if you can see it, but I got, like, little glittery stuff on the top. I told her I think I might be a tad bit too old for glitter on the top of my eyes. But what do y’all think?” Hilariously, Blue Ivy says “No” when the 69-year-old doubted whether she can still rock glitter.

Paul Wall And Termanology Drop “No Apologies” With DeAndre Nico And Bun B

Paul Wall and Termanology have an extensive relationship together. This pairing has an endless amount of collaborations under their belt. From team projects to singles, the Texas and New York natives have a tremendous wavelength with each other and all of that previous work together is evidence of that. Back In 2022, Wall and Termanology put out a joint project, Start 2 Finish. It was a tight listen of ten tracks, clocking in at just over 37 minutes. A few features were also on the LP.

Now, the duo is gearing up for their sequel to it called Start, Finish, Repeat. According to HipHopSince1987.com, the second installment is slated for release on a busy day for projects, October 13. There have already been a few lead singles in the rollout of this album. The first one, “Talk About It,” was put out on August 25. Then, we got another offering, “Do It for the Ghetto,” featuring Big K.R.I.T., and Lakeith Rashad. That came out on Septemeber 15.

According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, the newly-formed couple have plans for a joint costume referencing one of the biggest pop culture hits of the year. The couple are reportedly eyeing Barbie and Ken as their costume, inspired by the smash-hit Greta Gerwig film that dominated the box office over the summer.

Furthermore, they have already received their first party invitation. “I would love to invite them,” Heidi Klum told the British paper this week. “If they would just show up, I’m sure no one at the door will turn them away,” Klum added. The paper’s source also reports that the couple is interested. “Heidi Klum’s Halloween party is a very big option for them to attend, they haven’t made it 100 per cent, but since they have made things official in other ways that they have even started a relationship, they are really feeling it all out and they might want to make that night be the night they go, red carpet official.”

The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4 minute performances with them. I am getting an apology. Travis Scott, Quavo, And Lil Baby Among Performers At Jay-Z Blackjack Tournament

Travis Scott, Quavo, and Lil Baby were just some of the a-lister performers who gave an intimate concert to about 200 people at a James Bond-themed charity blackjack tournament hosted by Jay-Z, Meek Mill, and Michael Rubin in Atlantic City. Other performers included Fat Joe, Fabolous, Lil Durk, and French Montana. The event included an auction that reportedly raised over $24 million for charity.

While Jay-Z didn’t perform atop the marble bars and custom-made gaming tables, he was said to be “holding court” alongside a group including Kyle Kuzma, according to Page Six. Famous faces at the event included Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, Jack Harlow, and Matthew McConaughey. Meanwhile, the auction was emceed by Kevin Hart. The event was in honor of Reform Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to parole, probation, and sentencing reform. Jay-Z, Meek Mill, and Rubin are all board members.

However, a gala party might not be the only thing Scott and Quavo are doing together. Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, the pair’s 2017 collab album, recently surpassed one billion streams. It peaked at #3 on the Billboard album charts when it was first released. While celebrating that milestone, Quavo appeared to suggest that Huncho Jack might be making a return in the near future. “That’s tuff next one loadin….. battery [charged emoji],” the former Migos member wrote on social media.

However, it is perhaps a future desire, not an immediate project. Both artists have dropped substantial solo offerings this year – Scott with UTOPIA and Quavo with Rocket Power. Of the two, UTOPIA was by far the more successful release. It spent four weeks at #1, the only album this year to spend more than two weeks at #1 other than SZA’s SOS and Morgan Wallen’s One Day At A Time. Meanwhile, Rocket Power peaked at #18, coming out the same week as Hozier’s Unreal Unearth, which peaked at #3.
