Dwight Howard Compares LeBron James And Kobe Bryant’s Teammate Vibes
Dwight Howard played with some of the NBA’s greatest during his 18 years in the league. This included seasons with LeBron and Kobe during Howard’s multiple stints with the Lakers. Howard played with Kobe during the 2012-13 season and with LeBron during the 2019-20 and 2021-22 seasons.
During a recent appearance on My Expert Opinion, Howard broke down the vibes each legendary player gave off as a teammate. “LeBron almost act like someone from the south side of Georgia,” Howard said. “We act kinda like twins — joking, silly, have a good time. We get on the court, we still gonna have a good time but we’re gonna dominate. Kobe ain’t bullshitting with nobody, he might not come in the locker room and talk, and everybody like, ‘So, he just gonna walk all the way past us, not dap nobody up, give a head nod or nothing? He’s just walked past us,” Howard noted.

Howard Reflects On Kobe And LeBron Partnerships
However, Howard’s comments weren’t intended as a knock against Kobe. “As I got older, I started to realize more of how he [Kobe] felt,” Howard said. “And as a young ballplayer, you’re not seeing that. You think the game lasts forever. When you get older, you see I ain’t got the same amount of time and energy to put into this, that, and the third. It seemed like we fell out, but it wasn’t really like we fell out, we just had some disagreements on the court, like any other team and any other teammate.”
Despite this, it’s not the first time in recent months that Kobe’s mentality has been brought up. Charles Barkley recently used it to explain why he didn’t think Kobe would have been a good fit for Inside the NBA. “I don’t know if he was built to have fun,” he said. “He was a great person, I liked him, rest in peace. But like, he was a real serious guy. And the problem you have, if you’re gonna do our show, I don’t think people understand, we’re on from seven to two in the morning. Nobody wants to be damn serious from seven to two in the morning, ok?,” Barkley told the New Heights podcast.

Dancers Who Sued Lizzo Speak On The Today Show
Yesterday a bomb dropped that shocked pop music fans. Lizzo has long been a champion of smashing body image standards and inspiring her fans to be their best selves. She’s also stood up to plenty of hate online for her own body image and body positivity. But it turns out that behind the scenes it may have been a different story. Yesterday three former dancers who previously worked for the singer are suing her for sexual harassment and promoting a hostile work environment.
Getting into the specifics of the allegations is quite alarming. Lizzo was reportedly “pressuring one dancer to touch a nude performer at an Amsterdam club,” forced her team through an exhaustive extra workout after accusing them of drinking, and berated one particular dancer for the weight she was putting on. The lawsuit also focuses on the captain of the singer’s dance team Shirlene Quigley. She reportedly brought up NSFW discussion topics frequently shaming others for having pre-marital sex while discussing her own fantasies. “The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing,” says a statement by the group’s attorney.
Lizzo’s Dancers Further Open Up
In the interview, the dancers elaborate on their claims. They specifically highlight the double standard of Lizzo’s public presence versus her private actions. One of the dancers notes that the singer would switch between “professional and personal” whenever she felt like it. The superstar herself has yet to respond to or even acknowledge the lawsuit in any way.
Clearly the news of Lizzo’s actions has spread very fast. She’s long been a fan of Beyonce and even attended a show on the Renaissance tour earlier this year. Post Malone is now the proud owner of the One Ring Magic: The Gathering card. In March, Wizards of the Coast released a Lord of the Rings card set for their massively popular competitive card game. Within this crossover collection was the One Ring, based on the One Ring of Power from the iconic fantasy series. The One Ring card is truly unique – a one-of-one, serialized, foil-printed card. Furthermore, it was placed into a random Collector Booster pack somewhere in the world.
The cards were officially launched on June 23. Within hours, bounties worth millions of dollars were offered for the retrieval of the One Ring. Within a week, the card had been found by an anonymous collector in Canada. The card was subsequently graded at Mint 9 and resale offers, also in the millions, began flooding in. The most prominent of these was a reseller in Spain who offered $2 million plus an all-expenses trip to Europe. However, the One Ring has instead landed in the realm of men, with a humble bard by the name of Austin Richard Post.

According to a post on X from Brook Trafton, Post Malone has now acquired the One Ring card. Trafton had previously spoken with outlets such as Dexerto anonymously through his PR presentation, The Notable Group. However, Trafton went public to share the news of the sale to the acclaimed musician. “This is my dream come true, meeting @PostMalone and him buying the One Ring card from me is literally a moment straight out of a fairytale. @PostMalone @wizards_magic you’ve changed my life. Things like this don’t happen to people like me. Forever grateful #mtg #onering,” Trafton wrote on X, also sharing a video of him meeting Malone and safely delivering the card.
Furthermore, Trafton is now $2 million richer, although an article from Polygon suggests that the sale will be taxed at around 49% by the Canadian government. However, it’s a very special moment for the MTG community and Trafton himself. “This kind of thing doesn’t happen to people like me,” Trafton told Dexerto last month. “I think this whole collaboration, including the hunt, brought a lot of good to the MTG community. It brought new players and brought back some of the old ones. The set is fun to play and collect. I hope they continue to bring more of these collaborations and more of these hunts,” he added.

Filmmaker Sophia Nahli Allison called out Lizzo during a post on her Instagram Story, Wednesday, explaining why she dropped out of working on the singer’s documentary in 2019. The post comes after three women sued Lizzo for sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.
In Allison’s post, she writes: “I witnessed how arrogant, self-centered, and unkind she is. I was not protected and was thrown into a shitty situation with little support. My spirit said to run as fast as you fucking can and I’m so grateful I trusted my gut. I felt gaslit and was deeply hurt, but I’ve healed. Reading these reports made me realize how dangerous of a situation it was. This kind of abuse of power happens far too often.”

Sophia Nahli Allison At The Academy Awards
The aforementioned lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday and also names Lizzo’s Big Grrrl Big Touring production company and dance captain Shirlene Quigley. The women claim Lizzo pressured a co-worker into touching a naked performer in an Amsterdam club, that she subjected dancers to “excruciating” auditions, as well as much more. “Plaintiffs were aghast with how little regard Lizzo showed for the bodily autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people whom she employed,” the lawsuit states. The girls are seeking damages over emotional distress including unpaid wages, loss of earnings, and attorney’s fees.
